Lady Hamilton Bridal / Choose another store!

I bought a Moonlight Design wedding dress Lady Hamilton in July 2006. A beautiful satin silk organza dress.

However, when the dress finally did arrive, it had strong and unmistakably yellow overtones. A simple comparison between the dress at the rack of Lady Hamilton's bridal shop and the one I received clearly showed this. All employees at the store that day agreed that the dress in the store was white and the one I received had strong yellow overtones.

While I understand that all wedding dress purchases are final, I expect that the product being purchased is identical to the one advertised. I know the store didn’t make the dress, but it is certainly Lady Hamilton’s RESPONSIBILITY. There is no way that I can contact the designer personally. They only sell to their authorized bridal shops. One month before getting married and no wedding dress.

The owner is not worried, she runs her store on the principal that a bride marries once and will not be visiting her stores anytime soon. Not exactly preoccupied or interested in retaining customers.

CHOOSE another store. This one is not interested in keeping you satisfied - just in making the sale.

    DO NOT BUY FROM HERE

    unbelievable experience. Ordered $1700 silk wedding dress in July 2006, was to be delivered in Dec so my daughter could have fitting during Xmas break. Dress arrived 2/17 and there are multiple patched holes in the skirt (remember silk) and pin holes in the silk bodice. Nancy-the owner, refuses to refund, wants to get a replacement dress.

    1) first dress took 7 months to get, no guarantee of delivery (takes 4-6 weeks to get fabric from company because they have to get it from overseas)
    2) no confidence in manufacturer's quality if they sent dress with holes
    3) Nancy checked dress in on Friday 2/17 afternoon and had my salesperson call me for credit card payment that day and salesgirls noticed holes when she was packing for shipment. Nancy then admitted she knew there were holes! The balls of this woman!

    DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS CROOK!

    This store is such a rip off... i bought a beautiful wedding gown here and when it came to fitting it - they told me it would be a flat fee of $360 and then when they altered it, the cost all of a sudden went to $580!!! I also had 7 bridesmaids who bought dresses and the saleswomen ordered them at least a couple of sizes too big so that they would basically have to be remade by the tailor!!! It was ridiculous... one of my sisters had a 12 ordered for her and she fit into my other sister's dress which was a 6!!! When i complained to nancy (the owner) she agreed that it was a mistake but never once offered to make it better in any way... she is ridiculous and just talks around everything in circles... i was so fed up by then that i just left. THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS!

    Terrible service! If you want a hassle-free wedding experience, take your business elsewhere-- otherwise, it will be nothing but headaches for you at Lady Hamilton. I spent thousands of dollars here, and I wasn't satisfied one bit. I ordered my dress from them 1 year before the wedding, it arrived less than one MONTH before the wedding, and the seamstress made the wrong changes. I also ordered bridesmaids dresses several months in advance and even put a RUSH order on them, but that didn't seem to help at all, seeing as how my out of town bridesmaids had to wait until the week before the wedding to try them on, and the sizing was all wrong because the girl we ordered them from didn't know her sizing chart. Months later, after my own wedding, I had my shoes dyed there for a friend's wedding and they completely screwed them up, so much so that they stained my feet and were the wrong color. They would not accept responsibility for any of this and wouldn't even give me my money back for something as little as shoes, despite me having brought them thousands of dollars in business. They have no respect for their customers. Be wise and choose a little bridal shop where the owner actually cares. They charge you an arm and a leg in hidden fees like alterations. They quote you one thing, and then con you into spending more money by saying that was the price all along. Don't be fooled by their tactics. Do shop around. Oh, and one of the seamstresses even had the NERVE to make a mean comment about one of my bridesmaid's figures-- basically calling her fat to her face. Don't tolerate their disrespect and shady business practices!
