LabCorp blood drawn.

I came in for my blood to be drawn today. I was first seen by a woman in green scrubs with orange hair who looked older maybe in her 50s-60s. She began the process of drawing my blood with one glove on. I didn't want to ask her why she wasn't wearing gloves on both hands since she was going to put a needle in my arm which isn't a particularly comfortable situation. She attempted to find my vein once in each arm and was unable to. Both attempts she was only wearing one glove. After her two attempts a younger woman in dark blue scrubs came in and completed the process. She was wearing gloves on both hands and was an excellent phlebotomist. When we asked her why the woman previously was only wearing one glove she commented that she was someone from off site that she didn't even know. This situation is significantly unsettling and has caused me a decent amount of anxiety. People drawing blood should follow proper PPE protocol and should always be wearing gloves when performing any type of interaction with broken skin.

LabCorp treatment of patients

I was seen as a patient at the location 506 Graham Dr, Suite 260, Tomball, TX 77375
I was treated with extreme disrespect and rudeness by the staff. I observed a fellow patient getting the same treatment. I am also a nurse practitioner that works in the same building and get frequent complaints from patients about this location.
The staff is a problem and needs to be addressed or retrained on treating patients with respect.

LabCorp phlebotomist

I had blood work completed at the Ogletown-Stanton Rd. Newark DE site on August 20 2018. I have come to this location for many years...no issues. First the tech was late to work and appeared to be mad with the world... no hello good morning nothing. She preceded and drew blood from my cephalic vein on my left arm! I have great veins she did not touch my median. I am still bruised and have taken photos of this horrible journey (my arm). I do not know where she was trained but with no people skills she needs to be removed from that position. Being a health provider and having direct contact with people requires a special skill set none of which she had.

LabCorp pre employment drug screening

8/14/2018
specimen # [protected]
I arrived at the labcorp in question on this day a little after 12:30pm. I went to the window. The lady there instructed me to go back to door to look at times that drug screens were done. I went back up to window and apologized. There was only 1 other couple in lobby at this point. I explained to her that I was staying in Wilmington NC. She told me I could go to that Labcorp or come back later. I said well I would come back at 1:30pm. She said well come back a little early so that you can check in at kiosk and turn in your paperwork and be registered. I went to lunch to returned back a little after 1pm. I signed in at kiosk. The same lady took my order from the hospital for drug screening and my drivers license. I sat and she called me back up to sign paperwork. She instructed me to have a seat again that someone would be with me in a moment. A lady came through door and called me back. I was the only patient there at this point. The lady that called me back and the lady at front desk appeared to be the only employees there. They were focused on talking about their lunch plans. She brought me to exam room. She instructed me to sign 2 sheets of paperwork that she had already signed. One was for me and one was for them. I did this. She instructed me to leave pocketbook there and asked if I had anything in my pockets. I did not. She then handed me a open specimen container. She walked me to the bathroom that was next to exam room. She looked in the toilet but did not put anything into it. When I looked it appeared to be just clear toilet water. There was nothing else in the bathroom other then the sink, toilet, mirror, trash can and paper towel dispenser. She instructed me not to flush the toilet or wash my hands. I grabbed some paper towels to sit on the back lid of commode to sit my sample on once complete. I filled the urine container closed the lid and sat it on the paper towels. I wiped my hands on some additional paper towels and stepped out and asked the lady what she would like me to do with the container. She told me to set it on the counter in exam room. By this point the lady at the front desk had left to get there lunch. It appeared to be only me and this person. She instructed me to wash my hands. My drug test was still on counter on the paper towels that I had set it on. She left the room and went up to front desk and had a seat. I gathered my pocket book and stepped into hallway bc she said I was done. I realized I had left my copy of the document that I had signed so I went back into the exam room and gathered that. My sample was still sitting on the counter. Nothing had been put on it to say that it was mine and it had not been sealed. I asked the tech who was still sitting at the front window a few questions and she told me I would be contacted by the lab if there was any questions. 2 days later I was contacted by a physician assistant line [protected] #3. I spoke with the PA who asked me for a list of all my medications and about my health history. I asked if there was a problem. She stated that lab said my sample had abnormal physical characteristics and smelled of bleach. She asked me if I had tampered with it. I told her no. I had no reason to. I have been back and forth between the hospital, the supervisor Sandy over labcorp and now another facility where this sample was sent to possibly be tested. I have asked for copies of all documentation from what Sandy and I have discussed. She told me that it sounded as if procedures had not been followed and hospital should allow me to retest. She also told me she would call and tell them this. She called and spoke to Melissa Longo but only told her that she was investigating. I know I did what the labcorp person told me. I know I left a normal drug screening sample on that counter that was not properly sealed or secured. I do not know what happened to it after i was instructed that I was done. Now no one will return my calls. I need this issue resolved. I should have immediately been called to retest if there was a problem. I need to speak with someone who will take this matter seriously. I would just also like to add that I went to another drug testing facility within 1 week and had them run another 10 panel standard during drug screen on me which came back negative as I knew it would.

I need help securing this sample that was sent to another facility at my cost. I am very dissatisfied with Labcorp who advertises theirselves as being the best place for employers to send people for drug testing.

LabCorp technician

Today, I visited the LabCorp in Woodstock, GA. I had a terrible experience. To start off with the wait was extremely slow and then once I was finally sent back to have my blood drawn the technician was extremely rude and unprofessional! I was there with my baby and this employee had the nerve to call my baby spoiled and extremely fat! Not once but twice! Yes you read that right! Who does that?! I was so infuriated and will NEVER go back!

LabCorp laboratory requisition

I visited Labcorp in Liverpool, NY. My physician submitted an electronic requisition and the phlebotomist pulled up and read the incorrect requisition. Subsequently she collected blood but the blood was incorrectly analyzed as the incorrect requisition was read. This incompetence could have lead to detrimental health ramifications due to this staff members incompetence. I would like to file a formal complaint.

LabCorp routine blood work-up at oviedo, florida labcorp clinic on 7-6-18

I had blood drawn for my family doctor's review at the Oviedo, Florida Clinic at approx. 8AM on Aug 6th. The technician was hostile to me from the beginning. I requested the blood be drawn from my right arm, and was told that it didn't make any difference as it was only a needle. I insisted, saying that I'm left-handed and there has never been a problem drawing from my right arm. The tech replied: "well I might have to use the left arm." So, I showed my right arm vein which stood up nicely, and she said: "it's not what you can see, but what I can feel." And it was said in a surly manner. She drew the blood quickly and roughly and said: "you can go now." After I got home the bruising she caused appeared at the site and got worse over the next couple of days. I'm providing a photo of the bruising. I couldn't see the tech's name because she put a paper lab coat on before the procedure started. I was very disappointed in this service and can't believe that LabCorp would find this acceptable. I've used this particular clinic for over 10 years. My husband John overheard the entire exchange and was very upset with the tech's attitude. He told me that he will refuse service from her if she's there when he goes in for his work-up.

LabCorp office visit

The place is small, attention is mediocre at best, servicing is extremely and frustratingly slow.
A new digital "check in" system was intalled using a tablet device, which are slow and often do mot work altogether. Because of the size of the waiting area and the amount of people awaiting to be serviced, people have to wait outside by the hallway. Third world country.

LabCorp lab visit to fanwood new jersey site.

I have been having my lab work done at LabCorp, Fanwood, N.J. office for many years. On Saturday, 4 August, I brought my script to the office and was told to sign in at one of 3 kiosk's. There was no information or assistance for my first time use of this procedure over past practices. The kiosk is not customer friendly. The touch screen does not always record when touched. My secondary insurance is Tri-Care Plus for Life and it was not a choice and had to be written in from a key board touch screen which did not always record the touch. Since I am a long time, regular patient, I think your kiosk should just verify the insurance card and then pick up all the information from your data base. This kiosk system takes more time then having receptionist access information and is particularly not friendly to older patients not familiar with using a computer and backs up registering in a busy office. Some computers, like WOW have a voice responsive feature instead of typing in or touching a screen.

LabCorp employee name alexandria!

Since myself, husband, and my 19month babygirl came inside a minute before they closed. The front desk attended us rightfully, until this lady name Alexandria! Gave my family an unwelcome environment and I went in along to expect the worst first time experience ever! She treated me rough, inpatient, and try to speed everything so she can leave As soon as possible. I told my husband to pass me the phone for my baby to feel relax! Since my baby started crying while Alexandria been holding her arm hard enough! She neglected the idea and started raising her voice in a desperation way (like I was her kid). She saw it wasn't going nowhere with her desperation so she told the trainee ( new employee) with us (watching/Learning) "You Do this one" and left the room . 5 minutes later while trainee trying to do the blood work . Front desk lady came in and do the supervision. After all, because of this lady name Alexandria I will never come back to this labcorp after her unprofessional/uncompassionand performance and being mistreated. ESPECIALLY MY BABY ! Before I could say something she disappear from the place. This was my second visit to this area and labcorp: The first one, a African provider toke blood work for my baby and everything went smoothly and nice! My baby did not cry at all! And second time with this lady:Alexandria-Worst experience ever! If I recommend anyone about this place I will tell them to never be assisted by this employee! I Am frustrated and strongly disappointed! If she didn't want to work anymore she should have leave in the first place! Nobody can't be in a hurry when you know u going to withdraw blood FROM A BABY!

LabCorp fairfax labcorp

Fairfax branch has the worst service ever and whomever the older African American lady is at the desk is so rude she should be fired! I had to walk out! I signed in and then two other people came in and signed in after me. The two people got seen before me so I went up to the front desk to advise the lady maybe something went wrong with the sign in (I was in a good mood) and she snapped at me and said she was doing something. When I say snapped I mean the other people in room gasped at her reaction it was so rude and loud. I will never never go there again not to mention the wait time was so long! 8/1/18 8:00 AM

LabCorp wait time

I waited 25 minutes after my appointment to get blood work done. People who came in after me and did not have appointments were called before me. The workers were rude and snotty. I registered on line yet still had to show my insurance card and wait 45 minutes. Why have an appointment if you have to wait behind walk-ins that came in before you. This is inexcusable behavior for a health facility.

LabCorp computer down

Went to Lab Corp at Hillsboro Blvd Deerfield Beach, at 7:30a m in order to beat the long wait. Waited 20 minutes until I was called. I told the front desk person I have a order on file, for INR blood work. I was told since all the computers are down SINCE Saturday (this being Monday), my blood could not be drawn because there was no access to my order. I am a senor, and getting to the lab is not always easy.
The waits are always superlong, because many times the front desk person is also the tech who draws the blood.
There is no excuse for computers to be down for three days in a health care facility.
The 800 number for complaints only has a recording

LabCorp margaret williams at new ballas location - st. louis, mo

It it amazing the difference an employee can make.

I recently had blood work at the St Mary's hospital location in Clayton and the technician was overloaded with a roomful of patients waiting and an elderly not so nice lady to deal with. She was awesome! She had a smile on her face and was so nice and friendly. I filled out a very nice review about her and Labcorp-Clayton, MO.
This time I choose the location closer to work and that was a mistake. I called several times earlier in the week and finally left a voice mail to see if they received the info from my doctor on blood test ordered. I received a VM the following day saying no. I called my doctor and asked the assistant and she said the order was sent and she would call them and give them the information. She called 6 times in 1 day and never had anyone answer the phone which is frustrating. When I went in today I checked in and when I was called to the room (no good morning nothing) I asked if she had received the info from my doctor. Her reply " I don't even know who you are, you just walked in the door. Give me your insurance card and I will look it up. (In a sarcastic tone). I mentioned my doc office had called 6 times and she said we don't answer the phone when we have patients. They should have left a message. They must always have patients because they never answer the phone.
Then she said it shows your owe $30 after your ins. LC needs a debit card or HSA card. She totally has an attitude when she speaks with customers which is not necessary. I had an appointment and was the only person there so it could not have been overwhelmed with patients. With all the people looking for jobs I don't understand why you would hire someone with that personality in a customer facing role. It is obvious this lady either hates her job or hates people.

LabCorp employee

I went in to labcorp at 19016 Stone Oak Pkwy. When I walked in I told the two people at the from (Joseph Maldonando and "other person") that I was here for a drug screen. They stared at me for a few seconds without saying anything while looking me dead in eyes. That laughed and said "kiosk is right behind you." This is where the rudeness started. I didn't see the kiosk when I walked in. Then I get called back by Joseph Maldonado to take me screen. He had me empty my belongings and gave instruction on how to do the drug screen. He told me to wash my hand before and not flush. So I did. When i came out he told me to wash "again, " which I did. He said "that was a quick wash." I said, " I washed like you asked me to." He said, "that was a quick wash, would you use hand sanitizer before touching my pen." I told him "no, I would not because I wash my hands with soap and water like he asked. "He then said, "are you going to use your own pen?" I said "no i am not." He then kept asking me to sanitize, finally after arguing with him I I was going to make a complaint for harassing me on the sanitizer before touching his pen after I washed my hands. He made me feel "dirty" and announced to everyone in the lobby and front desk about how I was going to report him for harassment. I'm terribly disappointed with my treatment.

LabCorp drug testing chain of custody forms

Hello,
My name is Julian Petrov.
My company name is TEST ON TIME.
We are a Service provider that provides all the services involved in the drug testing process. Coordinates for an employer the entire process of the specimen collection, breath alcohol testing, etc...
I send a big number of my clients to Labcorp for drug testing.
Per Department of Transportation, after the test was completed the collector sends Copy 2 of the ccf to the MRO and copy 4 to the DER (or service agent if authorized by the employer). Which is me. Labcorp collectors refuse to fax me our copies of ccf. By doing so they are violating federal rules and regulations.

Every time I talk to their staff and/or their supervisor they just say that its against their policy.

Please help

Julian

LabCorp blood testing

I had an appointment for normal blood work on 6-8-2018. I arrived at the Stratford location only to be rushed off to the self check in which was complicated. They couldn't be bothered to offer assistance. My appointment time was at 10:00 am but I was not seen until about 10:30 but they put that I was seen at 10:07 on my paperwork. I understand sometimes even WITH an appointment you will wait so I didn't mind. Once I went back the woman helping me was jumping from room to room. She said she couldn't find my vein so I would need to pump my fist so after about 4 minutes she comes back and doesn't find the Vien after poking me mutile times. She used her bare hands and had long acrylic fake nails. She cleaned the spot then touched it with her bare hands again. She also touched me after touching her hair. She has long hair that is down and keeps touching my arm. She then decides to try the other arm and says well this is going to hurt because it's at an angle. She then starts talking to herself like I'm an inconvenience stating, " not today I don't have time today." The finds the vein and with her BARE HANDS draws my blood. Today my arm is swollen, bruised, and painful. This has never happened with previous blood work. They need more training and hygiene. I could've been infected if she would've had a cut on her BARE HANDS. I will NEVER be returning to this location, it should be shut down due to the lack of common sense health policies.

LabCorp self checkout

Self check in? What is this?! I am scared getting this bloodwork as it is and now I have to figure out how to check myself in all while shaking? I feel the older patients who have no idea about technology. I also tried to check in at the window and was turned away and told I had to go check myself in at the kiosk? Where is the person to person interaction, Lapcorp? The friendly face that greets you when you walk in your company? No thanks!

LabCorp medicare coverage of hgb test for diabetes

I was told by the LabCorp office personnel that Medicare does not pay for HGB diabetes test if you are not diabetic. WRONG! Medicare will pay for the test if you have 2 of the following factors: Age 65 or older, Family History of diabetes, Obese or History of Gestational diabetes. I contacted LabCorp to inform them of the misinformation that is being told to there customers. Their customer service rep was very professional and thanked me for letting them know and said she would give this information to her supervisor. This is not a complaint. My purpose is to correct this problem of misinformation and I hope they do since this can affect thousands of people. Obviously I did not get the test due to this misinformation. I will get it next year during my Medicare Wellness check. I am in good health and do ever I can to stay that way.
