La-Z-Boy outdoor patio set

I am very unhappy with the way my patio set is literally falling apart at the seams. It is only three years old and it has holes in the seats and the arms and back of the sofa are literally breaking off in pieces. I have taken meticulous care and proper storage of this set. The cushions have also gone mouldy and for no logical reason as they are stored in a unit that is made for that exact purpose. I was absolutely embarrassed when a guest of mine sat down and all we heard was a loud cracking noise and the sofa seems pulled apart and my guest was also very embarrassed as they felt responsible. Lazy boy has a name that is synonymous with quality but this is most definitely not the case here. I paid for a product I thought I could trust but the quality of this patio set is sub par. It is also my understanding that there have been many complaints from other customers about there frustration a disappointment with this product. This set was not a cheap purchase and I thought that I could enjoy my summers for many years on this set, but that is not the case here. Extremely disappointing Lazy boy!

La-Z-Boy recliners

I have 2 Layz boy recliners. On both, the side reclining lever takes too much effort to recline the chairs. Upon my telephone complaint they said to bring the chairs in for repair. Imagine! I have to pay to have the recliners "fixed". But they are not broken; just poorly designed. I went back and spoke with the salesman who served me and he said to turn the chairs over, find 2 wing nuts each and loosen them. I did but to no avail.
Also the staples holding the upholstery in the feet support on the new chair keep popping out to wind up scratching your legs while you are asleep.

I am stuck with 2 poorly designed and carelessly manufactured chairs. I never do business with Layz boy again

La-Z-Boy power recline xr/rocker recliner

I bought this chair about 2 years ago. since then, my foot lift has broken twice through no fault of my own. I am still waiting for the store where I purchased it from to come and repair it. The store is Lake City Furniture in Williams lake bc ca. their phone # is 778-412-9477. I have tried to contact them to have it repaired but to no avail. I really love this chair and bought it for my injured back. Please give them a call to expedite this repair, Thank You, Viktor Bargen

La-Z-Boy la-z-boy recliner - will not honor warranty

I bought a La-Z-Boy recliner with lifetime parts and labor guarantee on the mechanical undercarriage and frame. The Greenville SC store will not honor the warranty. they claim La-Z-Boy does not make parts and they will not fix it. They made a lousy offer for 10% discount on a new recliner.
Evidently La-Z-Boy does not know what lifetime warent y means.

La-Z-Boy customer complaint about sales/store manager

I ordered a pub table on 13Mar from Kingstowne Village Pkwy, Alexandria Va. My sales person (Monica Selcik) failed to inform me that a pub table was a special order. I've been waiting for a month to find out about delivery. I called and was rushed off the phone by a man who told me he was the sales manager and also standing in as the store manager (S. African descent). He expected me to know that a Chess/Checkers table was a special order. Aside from his condescending tone, I'm very frustrated over the lack of attention and concern that I received. I'd rather spend my money somewhere that values customers. I'd like to cancel and receive a full refund.

La-Z-Boy baylor power recliner xr

Purchased recliner and had it delivered from stock on 11-22-2017. After less than four months the seat is completely flat? Had a service call - technician couldn't believe it. My husband doesn't even sit in the chair everyday. The technician ordered a new seat cushion which came today. I can't even believe the thickness and quality of this core. For as much as I paid for this chair it should have outlast a Dacron wrap and be thicker than one inch. The same thing is going to happen in about 4 more months. The sad thing is that we thought we were buying quality. What a mistake. I would really like to return this chair and get my money back. Totally not happy.

La-Z-Boy sofa/ ottoman

Customer service is the worst I have EVER seen. Spent a lot on sofa, love seat, chair and ottoman. The day it was delivered there was a problem with the sofa cushions and the ottoman. Delivery person said it was just from being "wrapped"- IT WASN'T! GOOD LUCK WITH C/S! LONG wait times when calling. Setting an appointment and person NEVER SHOWS UP!

JUST sent new sofa cushions and they are worse- HAS STRIPES IN THE FABRIC!

WILL NEVER, EVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN AND I AM TELLING EVERYONE I KNOW ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE.

La-Z-Boy lift chair does not work!!

I have a $2, 431 dollar lift chair delivered on 2/18/2018. The very first day, after using the heat and massage features twice, it would not work. Lights on the remote wouldn't come on for a minute and than when I pressed massage, it ran for ten seconds and quit. It did that over and over and over. I did not buy this chair because I wanted it, I bought it because I needed it. I am disabled and a shut in, so I depend on these chairs, maybe more than I should. First of all, when I called the store and asked to speak to a manager, he hung up on me! No swearing, no screaming, remember I said I have a heart condition. I was stunned that a Sales Manager at a store would hang up on me. After contacting Customer Care, being on hold over and over and talking to a list of people that you would not believe and lied to, they had me popping Nitro tabs like they were candy. I have taken more Nitro tabs in the last month than I have in the last four years! After hearing ever argument, that is how they work, you need to read the instructions, blah, blah, blah. I was told they would follow this up and call me back personally at least four times, which never happened. I was told that a guy would be out on Monday, never happened, than it was Wednesday, never happened! Finally a guy did show up and said the chair needed to be replaced. I should inject another item in here, when we went to the store, I sent my wife an e-mail that had a picture of the chair, the serial numbers and codes, the features I needed, extra warranty and even some colors I liked. That was NOT the chair I was delivered. I knew right away it was different but than the NOT working came up. I told myself "maybe they changed the style" and I was just not aware of it. Well, the replacement chair came on 3/16/2018 and I was amazed because this was the chair that I had ordered! What is up with that, I have NO idea? Did they send me a returned chair from someone else? So I thankfully sat on the chair and after two timed sessions, it refused to work for hours. I have actually written a list of one day trying to use it, on for six seconds, on for ten seconds, no lights, etc. Back to the phone, which I dreaded. After being on hold, not once, four times, and talking to three different people I had to add to my list. I spent an hour debating a Service rep called Kelly who tried to tell me over and over that it was a safety feature. Now I also need to say, this is the fourth heat and massage chair I have had from Lazy Boy in the last 24 years, so I am pretty sure I know how they work. In fact, I have another Lazy Boy heat and massage chair in the family room right now and after 8 years, it still works fine but the problem is, it's leather. With my heart and meds, I am constantly cold and the leather makes me colder, that is why I don't use it but my wife sits in it every day. None of the other chairs ever acted like this. I also had a Catnapper heat and massage chair and it did NOT act like this. Kelly told me I need to read the Instructions, what instructions she is talking about, I do not know and as I said, after having four other chairs, I get how they work. It might not be a lot of money to Lazy Boy but 2431 dollars is a lot for me and all I want is a chair that works. This is not a topic that the color is a shade different, this is a topic that I have had two of these chairs in the last thirty days that did not work. Either Lazy Boy has a problem with these chairs or I am the unluckiest guy in the world to get two of them? I am still upset to being hung up on by a Sales Manager, I am upset with how much time I have spent with Customer Care and I am tired of being stressed out and popping Nitro tablets all day long. I advised my wife, if the big one comes, sue these people for everything she can get. I am puzzled at the difference in the two chairs I have gotten, where did the first chair come from? I have a feeling that they pawned a "supposedly" rebuilt chair off on me? I am not even mad at the factory, who has time to run these chairs for an hour, off and on. to be aware of this problem? For me, this Lift chair is a necessity, and the heat and the massage helps me endure the day. I also do not sit and run the chair continuous, I get up and go take my pills, I get back up and get something to drink, I get up and use the restroom and I get up to argue and debate people on the phone! Check the dates I have given and I have been dealing with this for a full month and I am tired of being stressed out and not feeling well trying to deal with this issue. I go out of my way to avoid stress and arguments, so my heart won't get stressed out and these people just pile it on me. I am NOT asking for any special deals or treatment, I am just asking for a working chair that I paid over $2400 for!

Well, they have beaten me! After all this money and two months, I am done. They had another repairman out a week ago Wednesday and he changed three major parts and the stinking chair still did not work. On Thursday, they came up with a solution that this is how the chair works. Doesn't say that on the website, never told us that in the store, talked to over forty people at Customer Care and they didn't tell me that. Remember, I already had three other heat and massage chairs from Lazy Boy and still have one in the Family Room, none of them worked this way and still don't. They told me if I used the chair fifteen minutes, than I have to let it rest fifteen minutes. They also tried to tell me it could work for a half an hour but it would need to rest a half an hour. Which this new chair was NOT capable of doing. They were talking about one of the older chairs I had that if you held the button in for an extra second or so, the chair would run a half an hour. They skipped if you did that with the old chair, when it shut of, you could put it right back on. They found a lie that I could NOT disprove, use it, rest it, use it, rest it. I asked them why I would want a chair that needed more rest than I did, which they NEVER answered. That day after the last Repairman came, I had four people call me and tell me that the chair needed a time out, first time anybody returned a call of mine. I was able to get a partial refund, which I am not happy with but after two months of this, I am relieved it is gone! They couldn't even pick it up right, they told me they'd be out on a Tuesday, I talked to them that morning and they told me I was on the list. At 4PM, I called back to find what was up, Oh, they were sorry, the list got messed up. Three days later, they managed to make the pick up. I have NEVER been lied to by one business as much as I have been with Lazy Boy, they couldn't tell the truth to save their lives. Oh, by the way, my wife called four other Lazy Boy stores around, and they all told her about the chair and that it would run all day if you wanted it to, no rest or time outs! No one can get their stories straight. Also learned, Lazy Boy did NOT make my chair, it was made in Mexico for Lazy Boy? I specifically asked that and was also lied to that they still made all their furniture! They held back some of my money but they were doing me a favor and normally never did that for anyone else. Plus, I guess I had ordered a SPECIAL Beige color, so I had to pay for that. I just thought beige was beige, what did I know. I felt every cent should have been refunded to me and even something for all the trouble. I can NOT tell you how happy I am to be done with Lazy Boy and have that chair out of my house! Beware, if you are looking for a heat-massage-lift chair for someone like me, don't go to Lazy Boy or go at your own risk, I have tried to tell you. I have NOT even covered a tenth of what they put me through, so you are on your own!

When I said lights would NOT come on, I mean the two different buttons for HEAT and the one button for massage. I hated to keep pushing one button over and over, so I would push the three buttons, one at a time until the lights came on. Personally I think there is a circuit or breaker in the chair and when it gets hot, it shuts the chair off. After 15 seconds or so, it resets and lets you turn it on until the breaker says "we are still hot, shut down"? Leave it sit for an hour or two and it works fine until it gets hot again. That is why the lights go off (resetting) and it comes on for 10 seconds and shuts itself off again! Who would buy a chair that you could use at 8, than let it sit until 10 and use it again, than let it sit until 2 and use it again! That would be idiotic and after having four other chairs, and another one in the Family Room, I know how they are supposed to work!

I apologized, I misspelled Lazy Boy and didn't catch it. When I talk about being on hold four times and talking to three people, that was all on 3/16, when I talk about Kelly trying to convince me it was a safety feature, that was on 3/16. That does NOT cover the days back to 2/18, which I had to contact over and over after being told 'I would follow this up personally and get back tomorrow with you"! The missed Service Calls, the being hung up on, how does a Company operate like this? I did NOT realize our Local Lazy Boy was bought out by Lazy Boy Company and I was expecting the good service I always had gotten from them. That leather recliner, I used it myself for four years before I got too cold, and my wife is in it as I am writing and it still works perfectly, the leather has started to fall apart but that's another story. I even used the leather recliner on 3/14 and except for the leather, the heat and massage still work fine. I am also a very curious person, is this a problem that they have with these chairs and they aren't telling us? What was with that first chair, where did that one come from? The guy who said it needed replaced, was here for two minutes, how did he make his decision so quickly and how did the second chair get here so quickly, with the first one required 6 weeks? All good questions and if anyone has any answers, I would appreciate hearing them. I would like to also see this Sales Manager disciplined for hanging up on a customer. If I had cussed him out, or screamed at him, I could get that but if he couldn't deal with me, how is he going to deal with anyone else?

La-Z-Boy tables

We purchased a leather love seat and two tables a month and a half ago. I spent over $4, 000 cash on the date of purchase. The sales person, Sandy Saunders at 700 Hanes Mall Blvd, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 assisted us. She said the love seat was in the warehouse but due to the tables not being in the warehouse it would take two weeks for delivery so they would deliver all at one time. The third week I called the location and was informed by the gentleman answering the phone that he would never have told me delivery would be in two weeks as the tables are made out of the country and that it would be the end of Feb. I was never told that at the time of purchase and would not have bought the tables had I know that. I instructed them to go ahead and deliver the love seat that I had paid for almost a month ago and now wait for my tables that I have already paid you in good faith to deliver your product. I have just been informed that the tables are in your warehouse but delivery cannot be made until Mar 9 because your truck doesn't come to Pilot Mountain on a regular basis.

Well, you took my money almost now two months ago, over $4, 000.00 and you can't afford $30 of gas to deliver me my tables and yes they are MY tables since I paid you CASH.

I am not a happy customer and I will NEVER EVER buy another product from LazyBoy.

You may contact me if you wish at [protected]@aol.com or call me at [protected].

Sincerely,
Vicky P. Pollay

I purchased furniture from La-Z-Boy at the Wayne, NJ location in July 2017. Here I am and it's nearly April 2018 and I have written and called La-Z-Boy about my coffee table and TV console. The TV console has pieces that came off of the shelves. It's a cheap paper like material that covered the front part of the shelves. The coffee table has small pieces of wood that are missing. The design of all the tables I purchased has grooves that are on a slant. The tables, even when I dust them twice a week, look awful. The dust settles in the grooves and does not give a good appearance.
I called La-Z-Boy on March 26, 2018 and spoke with a representative and gave details of why I was calling and gave my phone numbers and e-mail address. I was suppose to receive a call the next day to schedule a service technician to come out on Wednesday, March 28th. That technician was suppose to repair the tables, if possible. I never received a call or an e-mail from these people. I am upset that they can sell disposable furniture and charge so much. I am a senior on a fixed income and was hoping that this furniture would last me years. No one at La-Z-Boy gives a damn. I forgot to mention that I wrote to Kurt Darrow( President/CEO) on February 7th and was referred to their [protected] which I called and was left holding for over 20 minutes. Lazyboy is an appropriate name for this Company. I regret making a large purchase with Company.

La-Z-Boy product

We paid $200 To have UltraStain protective coating applied to our new overpriced Couch and 2 changes. While it was being delivered some Coka Cola spilled on it and soaked right throught the "Protective " coating. When we asked Lazyboy, Serveco, to reapply the protectorant the came to our home with a $3 plastic spray bottle and in 8 minutes left!

Like car salesmen the Lazy boy salesperson sold us on a worthless scam that cost us $200 When I could have paid $12 for 2 cans of Scotchguard and accomplished the same thing...

La-Z-Boy leather recliner

Cheaply maid, incredibly uncomfortable, had more foam put in and even made it more uncomfortable, the seat section you can feel the frame pushing up on the butt, just about the most uncomfortable recliner I have ever had, I have had at least 10 chairs in my life, this is bad, my mistake listening to the salesman tell me how wonderful this chair will be, boy was I bamboozled, I know what you are going to tell me, it's always the same, no I do not want a man to come over again to testify the chair,... That doesn't work, I even tried to sell this thing once to get some cash to buy a different chair, was told this was not a very comfortable chair, god I am so upset, so thanks for nothing I have reported my grievance before, with nothing but some useless rhetoric

I have a lazy boy recliner, the in seat remote lasted about 2-months. The remote will not pull back the headrest and the lumbar. What a joke trying to find a new one. looking on the internet this was a poor designed product. The recliner is useless.

La-Z-Boy leather recliner

I bought $4000.00 worth of Furniture from the Franklin, TN. La-Z-boy showroom. I like to buy American made products. The dark brown $1200.00 leather Recliner started losing the dye in the headrest after 6 months. I thought it probably would not get any worse. At two years it looks terrible and continues to lose color. I wash my hair daily and use no cleaners on the leather. My sofa is starting to sit low after only 2 years.making it very uncomfortable. The store manager told me today I should have used conditioner on our leather however the product manual or website made no mention of this. He also said oils in the hair and skin can cause fading. I guess they need to tell customers to wear a stocking cap and gloves! Never had fading leather on the less expensive brands! I will no longer buy or recommend La-Z-Boy to friend or family!

La-Z-Boy recliner, rocking chair

I bought my husband a chair in Dec 2013. The leather is peeling and showing white underneath. We do not think this should be happening as the chair looks brand new. We have bought lazy boy furniture for years and have not had any problems with the material. I would like to have some money back so I can get it reupholstered. DLR49393014 Style 010537

La-Z-Boy furniture

I have dealt with a lot of different businesses over my 45 years. I also have worked in customer service for years. I have looked for over a year and finally found the coffee, end and sofa tables I have been looking for. Doug our sales man was absolutely GREAT! A big help in our sales experience. He kept us up to date on the delivery and process. He was very helpful and has great customer service. Then finally delivery day. The delivery men called and said they were 1/2 hour out brought in our sofa table, it was perfect, then the coffee table it had several nicks on it in different places as well as a 2 inch crack on one of the legs. Then they brought in the tv table it was completely different color looked like cherry. We ordered it from a catalog so we were under the understanding that it was same color. It wasn't even close so before they even set it in place I told them to take it back. Wasn't going to have to keep
it taking up room in my living room w something completely wrong. I asked what to do about coffee table. The delivery guys told me to keep it until they could deliver another coffee table and they took numerous pictures of the damage. I thought this was your company protocol. So the next day, Thursday I received a message from a lady said she was with delivery and what exactly did I receive in the delivery? I said the sofa table and I still have the damaged coffee table. I sent the entertainment unit back. She told me I should of sent it all back! I said I was following the direction of YOUR delivery drivers to keep coffee table until they could bring us one not damaged. Which I thought was excellent customer service. So later that day I received a message from Kaylin calling from Lazyboy to set a time for a service person to come out and "look" at our damaged "brand new" coffee table. I don't get off work until after your service department goes home so I left a message that I wanted a new table and credited for the tv stand. No need in wasting my time sending a repairman out to repair a damaged "brand new" piece of furniture! Send me new and credit my account. All day no word back so I called again at 4:30 Friday and talked to Jamie very RUDE not
Listening to me at all talking over me the entire time so finally I yelled at her to get me a new table and money back also to speak to her manager. Then a bigger rude condescending female named Danielle came on the line with an attitude and she did listen to my side and my wishes however informed me that I accepted the damaged furniture so it was mine to deal with and I said I
Didn't accept it she stated "where is the table, in your living room right, therefore you DID accept it". I told her I didn't accept it I
wrote on the delivery invoice (which I took a picture of) that I sent tv stand back wrong color and all the damage to the coffee table. Which the delivery drivers took pictures of. I followed what the drivers instructed me to do. She said she had to send a service person out to repair my "brand new" coffee table. I told her many times that wasn't acceptable. Finally I hung up on her rude, terrible, customer service self. Then she left a condescending voicemail. Finally I called the store I purchased the tables from spoke with my sales/manager and he without a blink of an eye he ordered a new coffee table and credited my account. I will never be back in a Lazyboy Furniture Gallery again, due to this extremely incredibly terrible customer service I received from everyone other than my original sales/manager Doug and originally thought delivery men had good customer service, but I guess they were outright lying to me. You should all learn something from Doug. Customer service first!

La-Z-Boy delivery of sofa and chair

As the delivery drivers unwrapped the chair to take it off the truck I noticed the legs were not the ones I ordered. I asked them what to because the legs were wrong but they didnt answer me and proceeded to bring the chair into my house. As they brought the chair into my house I told them again that the legs were not the ones I ordered and asked them what to do, but they still didnt answer and proceeded to bring the chair into my house. Since the delivery company wouldnt tell me what to do to resolve this I called the Lazy Boy store I made the purchase from (Sunrise, fl-Sawgrass) to ask them...as I was trying to get information from the associate at the store one of the delivery men decided to finally speak so I coulnt hear anything the store associate was saying over the phone. At this point I was really aggrevated and yelled at the delivery driver to hold on so I colud hear the store associate on the phone. I was advised by the store associate to not accept the delivery. I told the delivery driver that the store associate told me not to accept the delivery of the chair and that I wanted to see the sofa because if the legs were the ones I ordered they can bring the sofa in. It was obvious the delivery driver was very mad I yelled at him while I was on the phone with the store assocociate. He ignored me and proceeded to bring the chair back to the truck. Once again I told him to check the legs on the sofa before leaving, but he continued to ignore me. They closed the back of the truck, got in and drove away. I received a phone call a few minutes later from the delivery company and asked why they drove away when I asked several times to check the legs on the sofa and was told they were the same legs that were on the chair. Lazyboy (Sunrise, Fl-Sawgrass) called me several minutes after that and told me the legs on the sofa were correct-they were the ones I ordered but that I had to reschedule the delivery because the drivers were too far away. Now I have to wait even longer than the 6 weeks I have already waited and worry that the next delivery drivers will be as untrustworthy and unproffessional as the men that came to my house today.

La-Z-Boy cancellation policy

We purchased a La-Z-Boy sofa, the exact same as we saw on the store floor, same colour, same fabric, same style. Date of purchase was November 26, 2017. W were unsure of the purchase as we were sold a sofa instead of a loveseat that we originally went to look at the day before!
We asked the Salesperson worse case, if we don't like it what is the return policy. She told us " You have 7 days to return and there maybe a restocking fee!"
At no time were we told we ordered a "Custom" product. It was the same as we saw and sat on at the store.
Unfortunately we paid in full, signed the sales bill and left the store.
11 days after our purchase...I really didn't want the sofa...it was to big for my Livingroom. I was not happy with my purchase.
Since, we we haven't received our purchase and may not for 6 weeks, I called to cancel our order.
Well then I am told we ordered a "Custom" sofa! To cancel the order it will cost us 50% restocking fee. Yes 50% for a product they haven't even received at the store to deliver yet! Basically everything you purchase at L-A-Z Boy that you have to have delivered is a "Custom" order! I guess because the pillows were different we made the sofa custom? I would purchase the pillows even at an inflated price to get out of the purchase!
Solution from the Sales Manager is he will deliver 2 rails for us to modify the sofa to make into a Loveseat. Best they can do to resolve the issue. Well I am sure that would void our warranty!
We are more frustrated with the way they do business. At no time were we told to read the back of the sales bill before we signed. We read and signed what we saw on the front page. Conveniently they fold the Sales Bill inward so you don't see the back. We were mislead by the Salesperson and signed a document without being informed that there was a back page!
Beware of the details they don't tell you! We would never have purchased or paid in full for anything knowing that they would charge us 50% if we were not satisfied!

I paid $2700.00 for a recliner nine months ago and still do not have the product. I am so angry at myself. I am too old to be duped like this. I am very close to just taking it on the chin and try and get as much of my money back as possible at this point. Never again, never, never, never.

I bought a powerlift recliner and it was delivered 7/9/22. I believed I had 30 days to return the chair. I took what I thought was enough time to be sure that I liked the chair or not. It's 8 days later and the chair is so uncomfortable I can't stand it. It is nothing like the chair on the floor that I sat in as far as comfort goes. It's TERRIBLE! Why can't I returnit or at least exchange it? 3 day timeline is utterly ridiculous!

We ordered 2 matching recliners and when delivered they both have manufacturer defects and the mechanisms don't work as should. The chairs cause pain to sit in and are not like the ones in the store. The company refuses to take the chairs back. We now have no furniture to use other than wooden lawn chairs while over $2000.00 sits covered in the room. La Z boys answer is to have a technician come out and rebuild the cushions and attempt to make them operate properly in house which is unfair and deceptive. They also state that furniture requires a break in period to have it feel as it did when you visit and decide to purchase after sitting in the store display furniture. Corporate is forcing us to keep the furniture and refuses to take them back and refund our almost 50% deposit.
