LA Fitness International personal training program is the worst!

I have utilized personal trainers for the last 6-7 years. When a new LA Fitness opened in my town with a beautiful facility I switched my membership and signed up for their personal training program. I had a great trainer the first few weeks and then one week I went in and was told she was sick, the next week I was told she stood me up and the third week the receptionist finally whispered to me that she had been fired because she did not know how to run their computer system. I complained to management and they set me up with another trainer. I had a couple of sessions with him but he was disinterested and just going through the motions and I could never get a regular schedule set up. Then I ask for a different trainer and approached one who had just started. Before I could schedule a session she was gone. I tried in vain to cancel but as you know from previous posts, you can never never get a straight answer and the customer service is the worst. I was told to write letters and then was told that was not enough because the letters were not certified. Then I got another session and was stood up. And it happened again. And bottom line is I had to pay for a year of training when they could not provide me with an early morning trainer and did not even care enough to follow up when they knew I was being stood up. ( about 6-7 times) They are the WORST!

I have nearly a year's worth of training sessions built up due to surgeries which prevented me from working out. When I returned to restart with my personal trainer she was no longer there and there was no one to train me early in the morning. So, I agreed to come in the evenings despite the inconveniene to say the least. I was provided with a great trainer. Apparently, he received a raise/promotion and I was told I needed to upgrade to keep him. Mind you I've paid for a year's worth of sessions. It's called extortion and its BS. Oh, sure there's some BS in the contract that they only agree to provide "a trainer." I'm so angry I could spit. This isn't over.

I live in San Diego, CA and had an active membership with Bally's Fitness until LA Fitness brought them out. The good thing was they didn't increase my original membership fee which i had with Bally's Fitness. My monthly fee is $19.99. For a while I had a good relationship with LA Fitness. None of the other staff ever bothered me which was good. I enjoyed pretty much just going to different LA Fitness Centers and having a nice quiet workout. One time, I was approached by a Personal Trainer at one of the centers. he gave me a 1 day complementary workout session. Then he tried to get me to get into one of their personal training program but he never pressured me or tried to con me in anyway to get it. So I left it at that. So for the next 3 months I have been going to 2 different LA Fitness Centers until the date of 7/15/12 when i went to another location here in San Diego. When I went in to that new location, one of their personal trainers had approached me while I was working out in one of the treadmills. We had a good conversation going and he appeared to really give me good advice and suggestions on how to work out properly. Then he gave me a complementary workout sessions with him and after it was over, he escorted me to his desk and offered me one of their Personal Trainers Program. Anyways, to make a long story short, I foolishly signed a contract which i later regretted because of financial situation. I tried to cancel and the other PT tried so hard to get me not to cancel. Then after working out, I returned to his little office and there was the main manger of the Center informing me I was too late to cancel. I had informed them i was not working very much and needed to cancel but she pretty much said there was nothing they could do. So here i am stuck with their PT agreement. They already took out $149 initiation fee plus the 1st months fee of $70. Now I am very angry and upset because i feel that personal trainer singled me out that day because of the color of my skin. I never once saw him approach another member at the center like a fellow Caucasian. Only me, a low-income Hispanic male. So pretty much I feel he conned me and there now nothing i can do. I do not hate LA Fitness, only the one which i was screwed over here in San Diego, CA

I wish I would have seen this sooner... I signed up at LA fitness and for persoanl training, they were very untruthfull and I cancelled both the member ship and personal training after 3 days.. in the last week they have managed to wipe out my checking account and owe me close to $1600 due to debiting my account over and over.. The managers at Akers Mill are very rude and customer service isnt much better, they should be kissing my feet for the amount of money the took from me... it could take up to 15 days to get my money back and thats not right.. this has to be a world record, 1600 dollars for a 4 day membership... I am still waiting for my money and have also contacted a law firm to see if there are any class action lawsuits against them in GA or how I can start one so this does not happen to anyone else... DO NOT JOIN LA FITNESS APRIL 14th 2011...

LA fitness have horrible training and it is almost impossible to cancel the membership! LETS FIGHT BACK!I WORK IN PR I GOT CONNECTIONS!

I joined LA fitness December 07 and had my free personal training session where that idiot of trainer told me to lose 10-20 pounds...Im 5'8" tall and 125 pounds...WTF!
I yelled at him and told him that I will never come back again, because one of my best friends nearly died because of an eating disorder.

So, the next day they called me to ask if I was alright and I said no and that I wanted to cancel the membership immediately. After trying to convince me to stay they finally agreed to send me the form. I never received anything, so I called them and they said I should go online. I did, but i didn't wanna set up an account so I called them again and the lady told me that the problem will be solved. they will call me back.
because I was graduating I didn't have the time to follow up with them.

when I canceled in MAY(!) my Swiss credit card they started calling me non stop. then I realized that they have been using my card all the time, because I was so stupid to slide my card once over there!Since then I was sent from one place to the other and apparently all their printers are out of order...sure, but they still can print out applications!

I'm working for a PR guy and he discovered in 1989 a major scam with the parking meters in LA where the city had to pay over 15 million dollars back to the people that got parking tickets at manipulated parking meters. He is very well connected and we are going to the media now. If you want to be part of it let me know.I'm trying to collect as many angry people as possible!

I am a member in Atlanta, Ga. at the Akers Mill location. I have had nothing but good experiences. The trainers are excellent!

I think that, as in every contract, you need to understand what you are getting. Also, be proactive with potential problems. Communicate with everyone involved and be patient!

I recently attempted to cancel my LA Fitness training membership through Body of Change due to medical reasons. LA Fitness International failure to respond to a huge problem

Since nov 15, 2007, there has been little or no a/c or air circulation in the spin class room. The temperature in the room reaches nearly 100 degrees during the class. The instructor leaves the door open but blasts the music so loud that the other patrons in the main part of the gym cannot even hear their own ipods. Several times i've actually left the gym because I can't even hear the trainer talking to me without him yelling to be heard! I've called customer service 7 times in the past month and corporate 3 times and yet they claim there is nothing wrong & that an a/c company has already come to fix it! (yes, one day a company came to fix it and then the whole gym was like a sauna — so bad that they had to leave the front & side doors open to get air in!) doug sanchez, the supposed district manager, has done nothing to address the problem. Ben, the ops mgr, says that there is nothing wrong with the a/c. All we need is for someone to pass out from the intense heat in that room & then there'll be a lawsuit — then maybe they'll fix it! I hate this gym. However, there is a new gym opening up in the area soon & i'll definitely be transferring. You're right, once they got your money, they keep taking it... And screwing you in the meantime.

dear laura, has it dawned on you that a tiny room filled with 20-25 people undergoing accelerated body temperature/respiration might produce an inordinate amount of heat? in accordance with all of the known laws of the universe this is possible. secondly, you sweat more--big deal--don't you go into the sauna for the same? call it two birds with one stone. thirdly--WOW--7 times in one month eh? if your biggest problem in life is the temperature in your spin class, congratulations on the trophy marriage and your subsequent suburban blight.

-gymrat

p.s. music is supposed to be loud in the gym, perhaps you should join your fellow uber-sensitive overweight housewives at "curves" or "4 women only" and leave the rest of us to deal with life's nearly unberable circumstances.

p.p.s. just for fun, google "darfur" and see what pops up.

LA Fitness International hour of operation!

The gym used to be opened until midnight on the weekends, then 11pm, then 10pm, now 9pm! 10 was justifiable but 9pm is uncalled for. not to mention, they sold people on this gym and signed them up telling them the gym would be opened (with pool used as a selling point) by "next month" offering a small room with a few machines. they continued to do this for 1 full year until the gyms long overdue grand opening finally took place and the facilities were open (which by the way they have advertised "grand opening" for yet another year - without pool). the pool has finally been put in not more than a month ago. it took them 2 years of selling (lying) people on the pool until it was finally installed.

Plus, the trainers are a joke!

Ps - yet I still go...

Yes, I think it is total BS that they've done this... They did this in the Orange, CT location this year too... They started in November calling it "Winter Hours". They went from 11PM to 10PM during the week, and 10PM to 9PM on Friday... I"ve been a member for 4 years and this is the first time they've done this. I work out after I get my kids to bed.

I call once a month to complian, it take forever to get through... They even told me that they were going to restore the hours starting March 21st. Well, that has comen and gone...

LA Fitness International personal training is a sham

After listening to the announcement to come for my free assessment in January this year - I find myself locked into a contract, which if anything has only increased my stress and not my muscle tone.

The freely available trainers are mostly inadequately trained. The well qualified trainers are offered to the customers that pay more (have a higher category membership). The more than $150 per month does not even guarantee an assessment, unless you request it! A complaint about the service will simply prompt a response by the manager, that this is your own doing, and that you are not complaining enough, or not doing anything enough. If you suggest that they cannot meet your needs - well it is still your fault. Customer complaints are simply viewed by them as a means to end their lucrative contract, and that it is still all your fault.

I decided to contact our corporate liason person in Atlanta, whose name I will spare, as he tended to agree with the complaints. However after coming back after 5 days, following a promised 1 day response, his promise that the manager would contact me immediately has never realized. What a surprize. To Todd, who I hear from our gym, simply sits at home answering emails, you need to attend to your customers. But, never fear Todd, they also advise that you will not contact me anyway.

How LA Fitness stays in business - surprizes me. We the public are waking up. It reminds me of another fitness club that went out of business - leaving a lot of people out of pocket and unfit. Where is management? Where is consumer affairs?

I have to tell you that it doesn't matter how much you pay for a personal trainer. Body of Change doesn't care about you once you sign up. I pay $350.00 per month, and there are never any "Certified Trainers" available, but there are plent of Sales people standing around. I would love to cancel my membership, but that would cost quite alot of money as well.

It really is a sham and there should be a way to be able to complain and see a result. Instead the managers basically told me it was too bad.

LA Fitness International poor customer treatment

I wonder if someone can help me...

My name is Emma Lait and I was a member of LA fitness (previously known as Dragons) in Northwood, Middlesex.

I became pregnant in Feb 2006 and was diagnosed with pre eclampsia which is a medical condition in pregnancy that causes swelling and high blood pressure. I was unable to attend the gym due to this so I contacted them and advised them of my situation and asked if I could put my membership on hold. I was advised I could do this and that my Direct Debit would be put on hold and all I had to do was call when I was able to go back to the Gym and it would be reinstated.

In November I had my son and In January I contacted the Gym to reinstate my direct debit, only to be told that it was never put on hold and I had been paying the 㿮.00 every month. I was very annoyed and explained my situation and what I was told when I originally rang... the lady I spoke to was very rude and was extremely unhelpful. I then cancelled my direct debit as I was so frustrated. I started receiving letters asking for payment and asking me to reinstate my direct debit immediately. I contacted the head office and went through the whole thing again with the agent on the phone and I was told it would be looked into. I then started receiving letters and phone calls from a debt collection agency demanding payment.

I sent several letters to head office and then eventually I received a letter advising my complaint was being looked into.

This has now been going on since January of this year and I am still no closer to receiving a refund for the 10 months payments I paid. I have been dealing with Tony Sugden and Michelle Carney since the beginning of July (this is when my complaint was FINALLY looked at). They have both openly told me that they have requested a refund for me but the "directors" who they have emailed have not responded to them. Tony is now off sick and Michelle will not return my calls. They requested I send medical proof of my pre eclampsia, which I did and which cost me $10.00.

I received a letter also advising I would have to go to court if I did not pay my arrears! I called again and explained my situation AGAIN and the letters from debt collection agencies and courts have now stopped but I am still no closer to receiving a refund.

I am sure you can appreciate how frustrated I am and completely disappointed with the service I have received. I feel I should receive a full refund of the 10 payments that were taken from my account when I was told by LA Fitness that this would not happen. I also want full compensation for the lack of service I have received, for the rudeness I have experienced on the phone. The lack of communication between myself and ALL staff and for the stress that I have been put under. I have a 10 month old baby and since he was 2 months old I have been trying to get this sorted and my money back. Instead I have received threatening letters and phonecalls demanding money, I have been spoken to very badly and have been treated very poorly.

Many thanks
Emma Lait

LA Fitness International inappropriate behavior at la fitness!

This morning, as I was working out on one of those hamstring machines that has you lying on your stomach, face forward and raising the weights with your ankles, a personal trainer approaches me from behind, puts his hand on my back and tells me that this position is exposing me, that I should preserve my dignity and there are other machines that I can use "without shame" that will exercise the same muscles (the machines he pointed to were for quads, not for hamstrings but that's just a small point).

I asked him to remove his hand and was touching a woman he had never met also a part of preserving her "dignity". When I complained to the general manager, however, that manager defended the personal trainer (who had interrupted a session with a paying client to monitor me). the manager said he himself touches people all of the time, that it's good to have someone stop women from being "exposed".

I think this is a terrible atmosphere for a woman to work out in, and I am now about to cancel my membership. Not that it's relevant, but none of my skin was exposed, nor should I feel restricted by what machines I use by someone else's (a personal trainer no less) mixed-up sense of "dignity". And to have his inappropriate touching and monitoring be supported by the manager? What kind of company is this...

LA Fitness is full of corrupted employees starting with the manager. I joint LA Fitness in January of this year and in the same month I withdrew myself out of the gym and in February I get over $700 dollars in charges that’s as of today no one wants to credit my account I spoke to the manager of the club his name is Renato he is cross eye and all he tell me is I am sorry for those charges and I asked him how can they charge for services that I never received and he does not care. So I guess I will talk to my bank because they are refusing to give me my money back this to me is a gym with a license to rob anyone. Then the manager all he did was laugh next to his co workers. That’s how ethical this gym is that they make fun of the over charges.

la fitness manager unlawfully and without member’s permission, cut out the lock of the member’s locker, opened the member’s bag and searched through personal belongings, claiming that another member left her belongings in the same locker earlier. police was called, told the manager she did not handled it properly and professionally, called her an idiot but could not find a criminal intent, since nothing was missing. la fitness corporate offices could not be reached via e-mail. any suggestions?

I am commenting about some lack of strong management at this gym. First, I have noticed that the male trainers (working or not) seem to talk a lot to the attractive women while they are working out, even though it's a policy to keep conversations to a minimum. It's pretty clear to me these guys are looking to use the place for pick ups, and frankly, any other profession would clearly not find it acceptable to prey on customers in that fashion. I attend daily, am an avid fitness freak, and am not female, but am married with all daughters. So, I can just say, I wonder what all those fathers out there would think of their daughters being preyed on. Second, no one at the facility enforces the rule to put your weights up when your done. I hope those lazy persons would consider that their mother or father may not being able to pick up those weights you leave laying all over. There's plenty elderly out there that may trip or get hurt picking up after the mess. So, I look to see if anyone is enforcing, and they just simple AREN'T. The workers congregate at the desks and the trainers sit in the offices and stare at the women working out. I think I have seen the manager, and he flirts with the women along with the rest of them. The trainer that touched the woman on the first comment, I think I know who that was, and that guy is a creep. I would have wanted her to make a bigger deal of it, like "please don't touch me like that" very loudly, so other woman can see the creep for what he is. I don't talk to anyone at the gym, and frankly don't use it as a social medium like others. I do my workout, do not intrude on others working out, and try to remain respectful. If there's someone that decides to work out next to me that makes me feel uncomfortable, I very obviously pick up my gear and weights and move to the other part of the weight area. I feel sorry for the women going to this gym.

I'm nowhere near L.A. ; I actually live in Australia, but as a personal trainer myself I find this absolutely disgusting. Firstly, nobody should be touched unless they wanted to be. In fact, we're taught that you should instruct someone by explanation and demonstration and only then after that, with their permission, be 'hands-on' in instruction.

What disturbs me more is the attitude; a woman's dignity in question because she's 'exposing' herself? What sort of gym is this? This is inappropriate conduct and should be dealt with accordingly. Also, why are they ignoring a paying customer to inform someone else that they're 'losing their dignity'?

This business should really re-consider their work ethic and adjust it to the 21st century.

I sighed up to be a member at LA Fitness in Monroeville mostly for the dry sauna and late closing hours. Shortly after few visits it started to become a problem, cleaning staff always shutting down the sauna for cleaning reasons and being very rude about it. So if you are like me, who likes dry sauna, and has sore muscles that need to be loosed up, find another gym that is more sticked to their employees for customer service.

Ok here is a story of LA fitness

I called the Alhambra Branch located at 412 East Main Street, Alhambra and I spoke to a person name Tony, he offer me the membership at $799 for 2 years and then 99 for renew plan. I told him I will think about it, I called another branch at Pasadena at 201 S. Lake Avenue Pasadena, CA 91101 the person who I contacted with is name Edward Vazquez, he give me the same deal, except I only have to pay 600. So naturally I took my time off work, drive to Pasadena (traffic with hell, took me over 1 hour drive, then I have to pay for the street parking as well) and sign up with Edward. Later that day Tony called me and found out that I sign up with another branch, then he proceed to sabotage my deal on purpose (which I didn't give him any permission to look into my membership plan), he called his superior and then later I got a phone call from some guy from the Alhambra branch told me the deal I had is canceled, he told me the deal I got was not legal. Then I asked him how was that not legal? I called your Gym phone number, speak to your employee, got the quote from him, I drove down there to sign up for membership, at what point the action I did was illegal? He didn't answer that, then I asked him what is your name, what is your employee number, how can I know you are legal and what you tell me is legal, he give me his name as Edward with no last name and did not give me his employee number, then hang up on my face promptly which I did not finish talking with him. I called back on the phone he called me from the phone number he called me, and there is no one name Edward work there, basically he flat lied to my face. I now hold in my hand a legit contact of my membership which I paid for with off work time, and just by 1 phone call from them, it is now a worthless piece of paper. This is

NO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GYM, they deliberately sabotage their own customers, and fight among themselves, they do not keep their word, they are not honest to themselves, they are by far NOT honest to their own customers. What you are dealing is the worst of the worst of corporate American, avoid this LA Fitness at all cost. Never join them if you can. And feel free to copy this message into other forums or message board if you want. My email is jackliu239@gmail.com I can provide you with all evidence what I talked about today. If you need a copy of the contract or my phone record, just email me. I want to expose to the world the true nature of LA fitness.

(1): ALL major gym chains are in fact out to get as much of your money as they can. I have worked for a few and let me tell you...it's your [censor] if you don't meet quota. *however* ...damn them for turning a profit (lol). Not defending them, just pointing out that a lot of the complaints I saw and read now are from people not getting what they want. Go buy a car and figure out in a year you can't afford it. The bank will sure take it back, but your credit will take a beating and they are going to try real hard.to get the remainder of what you owe, even though they got the car back.

On to personal trainers. This is a 50/50 gamble. You don't generally find so-so trainers. They're usually really good or total crap. I have to give 24hr fitness some credit there. Their trainers are typically good. If you are new to fitness and your trainer isn't spending a significant amount of time showing you the CORRECT way to do the exercises, run like Gump. Otherwise they are allowing you to simply go through the motions. Cardinal sin. (Fwiw, I've been a certified personal trainer for 12 years).

Lastly, I work out at la fitness. The front counter staff is quite courteous, the trainers all suck, and the sales staff gets rotated like perishable foods in the grocery store. The equipment is decent and the monthly fee is reasonable. My complaint is that they seem to have been really pushing for memberships lately and the gym has gotten crowded. They put up some huge 42" screens to advertise their services on while there aren't enough of the personal lockers (the small ones on the workout floor used for personal belongings. Oh, and I don't feel sorry at all for the person who had their lock cut off. I mean this with a little humor, but it has always irritated the [censor] out of me when people "lay claim" to a single locker. 24hr has a separate locker room for people who want to pay monthly for a personal locker). I will be leaving la fitness to go back to another, smaller gym in the next few weeks. I am glad I found some info from all of you about their practices, at least as it's been perceived by those who posted here. I will sure as hell send any paperwork certified mail, signature required.

LA Fitness International la fitness membership cancellation cheating!

I've read nightmare stories about canceling LA Fitness memberships. At first I could not understand why people were having such a hard time canceling their memberships.

Its as simple as filling out a form, placing it in an envelope, throwing a stamp on it and dropping it in the box. Approx. 3 weeks after doing so, I have not heard from LA Fitness and am getting the usual run around every time I call. "We have no record of your forms on file." (Exactly the line from the nightmare stories.) The member services rep says, "It usually takes about 2 weeks to get here and process."

Two weeks from NJ to CA via snail mail, and for someone to open it and push a few buttons in the computer to cancel auto billing. (Could this not be done over the phone? VIA fax?) The form doesn't even require a signature.

Theres no way to prove it because its been shipped standard USPS (for all I know it could have been lost/not processed yet/placed in the garbage). So last week, I re-send the forms via CERTIFIED Mail so I know when it gets there. To avoid being charged another month for an already canceled membership, I freeze my account over the phone. I figured if I'm going to lose money $10 is better than $34. Several days later, they call me up to update my credit card info but I refuse.

Later that day, I call to inquire the status of my account and its magically active. How about that? What a mess.

I have been a faithful member for many years and I frequent the La Fitness Clubs in PA near my home. Many people join LA Fitness because they have a pool/sauna/spa. With that said, the Montgomery County, PA clubs always have issues with pool or spa and more than half time it's closed for maintenance!

PLEASE FIX AND KEEP IT SERVICED FOR GOD SAKE!

I got ripped off to the tune of about $150. I went regularly. The story is a long saga but they were able to lie about refunds and used a NEW card they said they needed for crediting the refund. They charged it instead. Do not trust them if they say they will refund but need a different card. It's a way to get around legitimate cancelations and get extra money by deception. They weren't locking the doors at night due to staffing issues and staff was quitting regularly due to safety. The treatment by male manager was at best unacceptable. They played music like "Black Betty" FREQUENTLY. When asked to at least turn it down... they turned it up. The treatment by the corporate male staff was even worse. He called me a liar. The women staff quit. No one gives a damn nor can anyone do anything about it.

Today I realized that I was charged a monthly membership fee ($37) after cancelling my membership.
I've experienced bad business practice before so I was careful to photocopy my cancellation document.
Who knows how much time and money I'll have to spend to correct this fraudulent charge.
I mailed my notice on May 21 and was subsequently billed as usual on June 17. I'm tired of giving businesses the benefit of the doubt when things like this happen. It is just plain fraudulent. I'll be spreading the word and reporting to the BBB. No more Mr. Nice Guy. Consumers - BEWARE !
LA Fitness is hurting for cash and will likely do anything to stay afloat.
I'll do whatever necessary to protect myself and help others fight this type of CORRUPT business practice.
Let's all work together to HIGHLIGHT these bad actors and have them pay the price for bad behavior.

My name is Tiffany Carresi and I canceled my membership in July 2018 and only recently realized that I was still being billed up until April 2020 for my canceled membership.

I am requesting immediate reimbursement for charges billed from July 2018 until April 17, 2020.

I never used my membership since believing it was canceled in July 2018.

Good luck getting your money back. if you're lucky maybe they'll refund the last month or two. of course they'll try to keep your money. this looks like a very expensive lesson learned...
Never trust any business. they don't trust nor respect you and they'll take as much of your money as you allow.
I suggest you always check your statements at least monthly to prevent this kind of theft.
Consumers - beware!
If they continue stealing your money, you may need to cancel that credit card that they continue to bill.
Contact the bbb and report this bad business practice. beware of any business during this time as they may resort to fraudulent billing and corrupt business practices while their cash flow is interrupted.

I have had executive membership for years.
I payed 50 dollars for anual fee.
LA fitness facility closed and opened signature club in Ann Arbir Michigan, and my old membership is not honored, I have to pay
new initiation fee and monthly due as a new member. There is no regular LA fitness facility in town.
Do I have to take legal action?

Update
Soon after I wrote my grievance of Sep 3, 2018 on this website, I filed the dispute with my mastercard company. They wrote that the merchant has 45 days to respond and that I will hear back from them. Since then, the charge for the personal fitness training has been put on hold and I do not need to pay it for now. The credit card company has put a credit on my account for this amount. They wrote that they will get back with me when they have heard from LA Fitness.

Also I have called LA Fitness several times and have spoken with and left a message for Sarah. She called me back, and I was surprised because she had put me off many times and days, but she said that LA Fitness has cancelled my contract and will not charge my credit card any more. I asked her if she would send it to me in writing and she said she will send me an e-mail. I thanked her. I was really glad, but did not trust her. I have checked my credit card statement online daily since then and there has not been a charge on it, so it looks as if her word is good, but I have not received the confirming e-mail as of this writing.
After I had hung up I remembered that I had not asked her for a credit of the first monthly charge for the personal fitness training, but I think this will be resolved one way or the other.
I urge all the people who have been wronged by LA Fitness to contact their credit card company and file a dispute. I think filing the dispute and their contacting LA Fitness has brought this reversal about. Maybe your credit card company will do the same for you and hopefully will help you get it resolved.

I had a 6 months agreement which had run out. Then they created a new agreement with a new number and new processing fee and a new enrollment fee for 12 months and electronically signed that contract S o F. After I saw the charges on my credit card statement I called LA Fitness and asked them what that means. They said it means Signature on File. So when my agreement was finished they started a new one, for twice as long as I had before, without telling me anything about it. Not only do they have my signature on file, they also have my credit card on file and can charge it whenever they want. I called my credit card company and asked if I can cancel it, and they said because it is a master card they can still charge on it even if I cancel it. They said I should file a dispute with them and they would contact LA Fitness and try to get the agreement cancelled. They also said that LA Fitness can take 2 billing cycles to respond to my dispute. They will surely charge every month. When I hear back from either one, I will post it here.

We write corporate every week and send pictures.

They do not care.

There is no club pride at LA Fitness.

All we want is a clean gym to work out in.

Again we write emails and send pictures every week and there is no change.
