Kroger customer service

My family has been shopping at the Richmond Hill, Ga.31324 location since the day it opened and for the most part have always enjoyed shopping here. We purchase all of our groceries, prescriptions and fuel here.
Lately we feel that the level of service we have come to expect has gone down considerably.
1st-Your rain check policy in this store is not known to every customer service person. About 2 weeks, I requested a rain check and was told by Teresa that rain checks are only issued on the last day of your weekly sale and that I could check back daily for the item I want or come on the last day for a rain check. Why even offer rain checks if it is to be so inconvenient and difficult to obtain one. She told me it is because some customers take advantage of this by purchasing the items and also getting rain checks. I agree this is wrong, but I did not do this!
2nd-My wife came to your store on Sunday Jan.20th @ about 8:15Pm and decided to use the self scanner system. She took her time and finished up @ about 10:00Pm, when she went to check out, Sheila simply snatched the scanner from my wife and said, the cut-off to self scan is @ 9:00Pm, WOW! This left my wife in tears after spending all this time scanning and organizing, just to be so rudely halted. Fortunately another cashier noticed this and offered to help scan everything. My wife actually had to bag her own groceries that night (this is pretty common). I feel like maybe a storewide announcement may have been a good idea.
We can shop anywhere but we chose Kroger. I don't like being treated as if I am trying to get over or as if I'm some kind of nuisance. I would like to know that when we come to your store, our business is appreciated. I know not everything will always be perfect but lately it has not been good at all.
I can be contacted @ [protected]
Thank You
Robert Cline

Went to Kroger in Forney, spent a long time shopping for groceries. Loved the store until came time to pay for my items. I stand in line a long time, then when its my turn I had to use a pin for my debit card which I don't know d/t never using a pin. I then wrote a check for the amount and it was declined. The cashier asked me to move out of line and call the 800 # for a check writing service which keeps information about consumers and sell this information to merchants to let them know if you are trustworthy of writing checks or not. According to this check service I was not even though my bank account says different. I was on the phone for a good 30 minutes in which I had to ask the manager to get his supervisor several times. He finally did and the nice lady ran my check again and it was again declined. Why does Kroger require a pin for your debit card when nobody else does. I don't think it was handled the way it should have been. I went home after waiting without any groceries. I will never shop at Kroger again and anybody who asks I will tell them what happened. Im going to complain to the consumer report and federal trade commission to get to the bottom of this. Im 60 years old and do not deserve this treatment. what happened to the customer is always right. Weve come a long way. Not happy.

Kroger not receiving the 25 cent discount at the kroger gas station even though I have the kroger credit card

I have had a Kroger credit card for months. However, it says on the pump that I was supposed to get 25 cents off at the pump for a year, and this is not happening. Why did I get the card? For this discount.
No one at the pump knows what to do to help. The employee in the store said they are not trained well enough to help the customer at the gas station. This is not fair. I certainly believed the ad on the pump but actually, in this case, it is false advertising.

I have a Kroger credit card because I believed the sign at the pump that says I will get 25 cents off a gallon at the pump, but this is not happening, and the people who work at the gas station do not know why.
This is false advertising!

Also happening to me. I received a letter from Kroger and USBank saying I would get the $.25 extra. I scan, I use the reward of 100 points. I get whatever amount I chose and no extra $.25. Not sure what I am doing “wrong” and like you found, no workers have a clue. It seems like we are being lied to.

Kroger pharmacy

On Jan 11, 2019, I requested that my insulin prescription be transferred from Kro 527 (Bellevue, TN) to Kro 843 (BelleMeade). I got a text later that day from BelleMeade Kroger, saying they had a new prescription from my provider and if I wanted it to be fill, to call and confirm. I called, and nobody knew about why I was sent that message, 2 people saying nothing is here for you. I ran completely out of insulin on Jan 16. I called and the Tech said she would get it filled and I could pick it up around 7pm. When I got there, they said my prescription had expired, and I needed to call my Dr's emergency line to get more. The pharmacy was closing at 8pm and I couldn't get in touch with my Dr before they closed. SOMEONE should have let me know that my prescription was expired and I wasn't going to get it before I completely ran out.

Kroger employee complaint (reported to union but no response)

Over the past six months or so, I have noticed several adverse changes to kroger's management that have been of concern to me. I have been reluctant to bring them up (as well as several of my coworkers) due to fear of retaliation, but I now need to formally express my concerns because things have not improved after verbally expressing my concerns. I believe kroger as a whole and this specific location has always been good to me and I used to enjoy my work until recently. The following are my list of grievances that I would like to bring to your attention.

1. Since july, I have been working at the bakery department about 1-2 times a week, when my job title at kroger clearly states, "front end/ clerk". This being said, it seems that I have been the only one or for the most part, told to work at the bakery department, while I do not see anyone else other than one other employee, from another department, providing a hand in the bakery department as I have been. Section 9.02 from article 9 on working conditions states "senior employees affected will not be forced to work" and section 9.08 from the same article states "where additional employees are needed the junior employees must work in inverse seniority order by store" (ufcw local 1000, june 2014-june 2020). I have been working at kroger for over 10 years, so to keep in mind of my seniority level of working for over 10 years, other employees that have been working for less than 10 years should really be the ones to help out in other departments, if needed. Though I have told my store manager, jesse, and department superior, muhmmand, multiple times that I do not wish to work at the bakery department since it affects my health at my age (causing my heart rate to rise because I am asked to work faster and faster that I can't keep up with), they still continue to force me to work there against my will. To add, I had been told in the beginning, by muhmmand that this is only temporary until they hire an employee to work at this department; however, it is now end of december, several new employees have been hired since then, and still I am being told to work at the bakery department.

2. December 28th at around 1:30 or 1:35pm, I was asked to take out the trash by the bakery manager, roderick, before I went on my break. I ended up taking about 5-10 minutes extra on my break due to the reason that I was feeling a bit light headed. After I returned, roderick, told me that I had taken an hour break, which I did not, and that he would inform this to the store manager, jesse. I stand against this accusation, which is incorrect, and if need be, please feel free to check the store camera for verification.

I feel like I am constantly being harassed here and lately it has been worse, which is affecting my health by the time I get home after work. A lot of these issues have not been brought up until now because I felt that I would be reprimanded for bringing up these grievance to the union, since this has happened in the past, where my work life has become more challenging.

The above-mentioned statements are true to my best knowledge. These list of grievance are not intended to be directed towards any specific person. I only wish to resolve them professionally and adequately.

Sincerely,

Devyani patel

Kroger pick up vs delivery service

I started out using your pick up service but changed to delivery not too long ago because my husband had major surgery & I needed all the help I could get & time I could save. At pick ups I used my coupons but upon my first delivery, the instacart shopper apologized & said that they could not take my coupons. Who knew!?!
I also had a reward check for $25 she could not take (makes sense on the check it was from & payable to kroger.)
This all may seem like simple logic to you, but I don't work at a grocery store nor have I studied the way coupons are utilized/transacted... I bet there's a very good reason why things from your end have to be done this way. But... Just to make sure... I called after that delivery, hoping the information from instancart was wrong because I use quite a few coupons - I actually need the savings & if I really couldn't use paper coupons on deliveries I would need to rethink delivery service & go back to pick up or shopping myself.
I hate grocery shopping & boy was I happy when the representative I spoke to at kroger said that instancart was wrong - that they could, in fact, take paper coupons. It was no real loss that first time because I would've only saved a few dollars &, the check could be used anytime.
Today, I thought it would be wise to just double check on that information because I had almost $20 in savings with paper coupons & if I was told different than before I wasn't going to give up that amount of savings. I called to get a back up "yes" (better 2 people telling me the coupons could be used) before I placed my large order.
Today I called kroger & spoke to "carolyn" (number on the website where I was ordering) & I said "carolyn I want to verify the policy on using paper coupons for delivery because i've had 2 different answers... One from kroger & one from instagram." I told her the story & she assured me that yes I can use my coupons on deliveries. She said the last person that delivered was wrong & that, the kroger rep was right & she emphatically said yes you can use your paper coupons..."I asked her name & if she was positive." I told her I did have a $25 gift card & I realized that I could not use that but I did not want to place my order for delivery if I could not use the coupons because I did not want to lose almost $20 in savings. She said "absolutely they will take them & they will also take the gift card."
So... What are we going to do about all these issues... One after another?
Obviously instancart & kroger are not on the same page & your representatives are apparently the party in the wrong?! I am paying you... Kroger... You're getting my money & at this point i've lost quite a bit.
Both women who delivered to my home were delightful, caring, friendly, & they seem to know their jobs & are very conscientious. Today (meagan felt awful about this but she couldn't do anything about it.) I didn't take this out on her & I told her the story. This was not the first time she's heard this same story!
Today, I ordered almost $200 worth of groceries & expected to use my $25 gift card & the paper coupons. I can always use the gift card, but I purchased items because I had coupons & was told absolutely they would be accepted but this time it's quite a bit more than the last.
I don't know if you value my business but look me up with my plus card or whatever, & take a look at how often I shop & how much I spend in in your stores. Life is busy, problems are frustrating & my time is limited. I'm okay with mistakes but I did my due diligence & double checked on the information I had & was told yes they must take your coupons & your "check/gift card" not just once but twice!
I am the only caretaker for my husband. I'm 64 years old & if something has to be done, taken care of... I'm the one who has to do it. I don't have this kind of time or money to waste. I pay extra for service because its supposed to save me time & energy! These experiences with (not instancart) but with kroger are frustrating, stressful, expensive, & major time wasters!
How about stepping up & correcting this - I know you're a giant & making money is your business... But must it be done in a way that causes individuals like myself to go through all this nonsense?
I live on the westside of cincinnati - parts of it are seedy & parts are middle class. We have a wal-mart (with the highest crime rate of all the wal-marts in the u.S.) & there's an aldi & a target. The kroger store that is closest to me makes me want to scream! There's no assistance, the self checkout lines are ridiculous... It's a lucky day if there are 2 human cashiers but well... No, because the food in your cart could spoil before you get out of the store!
Then what...? I stand there thinking about leaving my cart but then again... Stuck! I've spend lot of time shopping & if I leave, at some point in the near future, i'll have to come back & do it again.
I'm ranting - & this time you're it! I apologize if you're just as frustrated working there as I am with being a customer.
Customer service has generally become a oxymoron - everyone I talk to agrees. I held out hope for amazon & kroger & lands end - too bad lands end doesn't sell groceries because they are the lone ranger when it comes to customer service these days.
If I were you & I read this email I would laugh. I know... I know. But i'm not nuts... I'm a fairly normal person who has ran out of patience. I choose not to remain meek & mild right now because this is insanity...
It's like that movie years ago with the famous line, "i'm mad as hell & i'm not going to take it anymore!"
Make it right, kroger... I've heard this & other stories anyone & everyone when this subject comes up.

If this is actually instancart rather than kroger, please respond so I can chew out the right person/place/entity! I don't want this book to go to waste...

Btw this is the third time i've sent this terribly long message. The first time it went to instancart - the second time I sent it through the link... Now i'm sending it via email...
Is someone going to respond &/or do anything about this mess?
Thank you...

Kroger kroger brand seltzer water

I went to open a can of your seltzer water - Cranberry Lime Flavor and it exploded out of the top last month. The noise was so loud that I had ringing in my ears for the rest of the day. I thought that a bomb went off and felt lucky that my newborn just happened to be in my husbands arms instead of my own at the time. I regularly drink seltzer water of various brands and this has never happened to me. I am seriously afraid to purchase any more of this product made by Kroger.

Kroger pineapple tidbits

I Beverly Slater still trying to reach out to whom I need to about purchasing a package of pineapple tidbits and a roach leg was in container I was eating from. Here is a couple of people whom I have spoke with on the issue Katherine B. Knox, Shelby Riley, Kristal Howard, Teresa Dickerson and sent email to Rodney McMullen CEO of Kroger and I don't think any have took the issue serious at all but I will continue until I reach the person I need too speak with. I was informed to send leg to Pacific Coast Producers/Travelers to view it broke as I was putting into container so I still have other part once viewed Pamela Mee called me and said it look like a stem from product I did inform her at that time it is a piece of roach leg and the company need to get another viewer because I am sueing for $20 Hundred Thousand Dollars for having roach leg in food I purchased. This message really goes to Kroger company where I bought product and Kroger can contact Pacific Coast Producers who viewed roach leg and said it was a piece of stem by Pamela Mee.

Kroger parking

I visit your store weekly. Up to four times a week. I have lived in my house nearby for over 20 years and always parked in the same spot. I can not park there now because of the 8 empty (always empty) spaces for your pull up service. Why do I have to walk through the rain and sleet to park far away to give the space to no one. This chaps my arse everytime I go there now and as a result I will likely change where I shop. #makethe employeeswalk further. They are getting paid while I am giving you my pay stub...today.

Kroger lack of shopping baskets at entry

Today, 12/29/18, 1:30 pm, AGAIN despite numerous requests there are no shopping baskets at the far West entrance. For months now and since your recent remodel of this location there has almost NEVER been shopping baskets at this entrance.
What aggravated me most today is when your customer service staff tell me where to go to get a basket but do nothing about solving this ongoing issue like moving baskets for customers to this location. Especially when this employee appeared to not be busy. In the recent past I have taken time, like today to send this complaint and for a day or two there are baskets. However, today I hunted down a Store Manager I believe his name was Shawn. Your manager said he could order more baskets finally! My concern is if he really does it. Every time you say you will fix problem but here I am again. Please let me know when you really finally get more shopping baskets for customers so I can come back. I am very disappointed in the effectiveness of your complaint follow up. Thank you for your attention. I regret that your business has responded so poorly in the past to this request. I have never experienced this issue at any other Kroger location.
Respectfully, David Carroll, 513.541-8950, [protected]@Gmail.com

Kroger deli chicken

Fry's at 981 W Elliot Rd
Chandler, AZ 85225
This apply' s to all the Fry's in my area.
1. I stopped buying their fried chicken when they raised the 8pc price to $12.99, but now they have made the 8 pc 6.99 again I thought I would give it a try.
I arrived at the store at 12:40 pm and they only had three pieces of chicken out. I asked is they had a new batch coming out and they said it would be out in 15 min, so I waited until 1:05.
2. At 1:05 they then served the person who just walked up before they served me! So rude! They server was a new guy, but he knew I was waiting. When he got to me he made up my 2pc dark and two pc white. When I got home I was very pissed that he gave me an old dried out breast a dried out wing a dried out leg and one fresh thigh. The thigh was literally one third the size of all the other thighs in the batch, it was so small they would not have otherwise been able to sell it! The wing was bigger than the thigh.
3. I realize that Fry's is not in the business of customer service being a grocery store, BUT the deli is a customer service department. If you have a person wait for a fresh batch of chicken for 20 plus minutes then give them fresh chicken and serve them first over someone that has been waiting less than 5 minutes. The whole experience was just unacceptable and it happens at all the stores in my area.
4 I shop this store every day for the last 8 years even though I have family that works at Safeway, but with this kind of service I could just start driving the extra 1/4 mi and go to Safeway! They at least have corn and mash potato's as a side dish which for some unknown reason this particular Fry's does not! I don't need 20 different kinds of potato salad and coleslaw as a side. Corn and mashed potato's with gravy is a standard with fried chicken, so why none offered?
I am very disappointed and I know from the past this complaint line never responds back so as far as a resolution, well l that's up to you since you don't make habit of answering complaints.

Kroger clicklist offers

My local Krogers store in Mt. Gilead Ohio does not have ClickList in their store and I would have to drive 18 miles to a store that does. I only live 4 miles from my local store. Kroger unethical behaviour

Dec. 12 2018, 10:24 am. I was taking 12 pk. caffeine free can cokes off the shelf when a Coke employee came up behind me with more to replace what I was taking. He said I don't know why you are taking them off the shelf instead of getting them from the display pointing behind me. I said I did't see them usually they are not there. He said they are always there I'm here every day. I said well I didn't see the display. He said the woman before you did the same thing taking them off the shelf.
I said I feel like I'm being scolded for buying your product. I would think that was job security. He said if I was scolding you I would have said put those back and get them off the display. He said something else but I don't remember what it was. Then I said I didn't see them! He walked off.
I certainly did not expect to be treated that way by someone who worked for the product I was buying. I did report it to the manager on duty (Teresa) who asked me who it was I said I didn't get his name. He was older African American man tall and thin with glasses and graying hair. She said I know who it is. I will have a talk with him as soon as I get the chance. They were very busy at the time.

Kroger ground beef

I hear in news today Kroger brand ground beef was recalled so I called Food 4 less where I bought ground beef to ask what I should do since I bought it on Sunday. Store manager stated this was an old recall and meat was fine I said no this recall was just announced today he said our warehouse already discarded meat that was recalled.
I then decided to look at USDA website which states beef should be returned to store. I then call food 4 less customer services and ask again what I should do they said return meat to store. He put me and hold and contacted someone at store where I purchased meat he was told they received email yesterday and meat was thrown out. I bought my meat Sunday so why did manger give me wrong information? I said why is manager telling me with confidence that meat was good. Called manager at food 4 less to let him no what I was told he said well bring meat back if you dont feel comfortable I said well meat has been recalled and you gave me wrong information he sarcastically apologized and spoke over telling me I could return meat.

Kroger turkey indicator

My dad purchases Kroger brand turkeys each year. This year his 13lb turkey was only in the oven 2.5 hrs. when the popper went off indicating the turkey was done. He thought it is was odd so he left the turkey in an additional 30 mins., removed the turkey and began to slice the turkey. Only the top portion of the turkey was cooked. Everything mid point down and near the bone was raw or near raw. Since he had already sliced the turkey it was kind of wasted at the point. He salvaged what he could and had to cook the rest in the oven for the dogs :( we are lucky we didn't get sick.

Not a cool tom turkey from you guys this year. very sad.

Thanks,

Kelly

Kroger black friday deal

On Nov. 23rd I went to the Krogers on Winton Rd, in Finneytown, to buy a Crockpot (cook and carry 6 qt) that was supposed to be part of your Black Friday sale. You actually advertised 3 different sizes but I was interested in the 6 qt. You had it on sale for $19.99. I showed up at 7 a.m. hoping to be one of a few that were at krogers that early while everyone else was at Walmart, Sam's or other traditional black Friday stores. I asked an employee if they knew where the Crockpot was that was on sale for black Friday. He stated they were looking for them and it was possible they had sold them all. I asked was he referring to the ones that were to go on sale on the Dec. 23rd. He stated yes. I asked another employee, just to confirm what the other employee said. She also stated the didnt have them. Very disappointed and aggravated I went to the Krogers on Hamilton ave in North College Hill. An employee there at least looked around the store, trying to find the item that was supposed to be on sale. She asked another guy who told us where there were some crockpots were. They too, had just opened and by this time it was 7:30 am. Still did not have what was advertised. This was a digital coupon that was to be downloaded prior to Friday and be redeemed ON fri, I thought. I had to go to 2 kroger's to still not get what was advertised. I did buy the 4 qt crockpot bit I got out of my bed at 6:30am to be there by 7am, someone who rarely gets up that early for anything and I feel like a fool. Again, why wasn't it available if it had been advertised all week! My Kroger customer number is [protected] 0. [protected]@gmail.com

I was accused of stealing by a so called manager at the oak Grove Fred Meyer at approximately 9pm November 24th. I came in to return a few items for in-store credit and they refused the transaction. I asked to speak to a manager and some arrogant unprofessional frumpy little man told me I had stolen the items and took them from my possession and told me to leave. I responded with the fact that the items were undiubtedly mine and there was absolutely no proof to the contrary. He said that the woman I was with had taken the items and met me outside and I was bringing them back as a scam. I demanded to see any video of the incident and he said I had no right and the sherrif would be waiting. I happily requested he contact law enforcement and that hed be wise to put my items back on the counter, considering he was the actual their. He also commented on the fact that I have a tattoo on my hand, implying myself as a substandard example of a Fred Meyer cconsumer. As an honarably discharged Veteran of the US Armed Forces I am disgusted at the arrogant and ignorant behaviour of your "managerial representative". He refused to give his name so I took a photo if him and the items he attempted to steal. This is the Worste experience I've ever had in 25 years of going to Fred Meyer for my everyday shopping. From now on I will be using Walmart down the street and will be Sharing my experience with my brothers in arms.
