management
300 Brighton Park Blvd, Frankfort, KY 40601.
I put in an application at the store address above. A week and a half went by after my interview and i haven't heard anything. So i went to the store talked to the store manager behind the counter up front and explained to him what was going on. He told me the i would find out something by the end of the day. That night a woman called me from kroger she was the rudest person i have ever talked to about getting a job . she would not listing to what i had to say and when i could say something she turned it around. Your store needs people i needed to find a job i would have been a very good employee for your store and i will be going back and tell the manager what happened with phone call.
unsanitary conditions
There's an employee at the #259 Buckhead Atlanta, GA store his name is Gary. Gary works in the bakery department. Myself and other employees watch this employee on a daily do the baking with his hands. This employee never uses gloves. He has a very bad cough and he coughs on the bake goods without covering his mouth. He also eats the products with his bare hands while baking them. It is on camera December 12th, 2017 approximately 9a.m.-9:04a.m. On December 11, 2017 he was baking, making pastries with his hands no gloves from 7a.m. and for the rest of the day. All of the other employees wore gloves but he do not. There's a lot of conversation in the deli/bakery department about him not wearing gloves and coughing on the food. Employees feel as though he don't follow the rules/policy/regulations because he do not feel as though he have to. There have been previous complaints about his unsanitary habits but to this day nothing has been done. Hopefully now he will cover his mouth with his shirt while coughing and wear gloves when cooking/or baking.

unethical behavior
As both a Kroger employee and a customer, I am absolutely disgusted by how employees are treated at store 724. They will not work with you in terms of hours no matter the reason, they play favorites, they force schedule changes onto you for no valid reason and without approval, they make it impossible to get full time, union rules are abused and broken constantly, they always back the customer even when they are clearly in the wrong, they never replace anyone who quits (and 90% of the new hires do), constantly cut everyone's hours for no reason, only attempt to discipline those who work hard (laziness is rewarded), play games with employees who have been around the longest to get them to quit to replace with easy-to-manipulate teens, and the list goes on and on.
Once I leave I will be telling absolutely everyone not to shop here.
Talking to HR and the union is next to useless...if they do anything at all it takes them forever to do it. And this isn't even all of the issues, just the tip of the iceberg. I realize retail jobs are rough, but Kroger used to be a halfway decent employee to work for. I've been with Kroger on and off for more than 10 years.
Unfortunately this is the true nature of the majority of retail. If actual policies have been broken however, you should inform the human resources department and/or the union (if you are unionized).
bf ch brisket
I was appalled to see the price of brisket $8 lb. For a cheap piece of meat this is more expensive than steak. I paid $62 for 7 3/4 lbs. Is this price gouging because of chanukah next week? Also the amount of fat was unacceptable (picture attached). I have been a customer since 1975 and have never registered a complaint. I am extremely disturbed about this and would appreciate a reply from you.
pharmacy
On 12-6-17, I dropped off a prescription for my daughter at 7pm and was told it would be ready before close. I didn't make it back before close so I returned in the morning because the medication treats adhd symptoms for my daughter as she cannot focus. When I arrived, I was told the medication was not ready, but would be at 1pm that day . I left for work, but ended up going to the doctor for my own illness and returned to the pharmacy at 6pm. I dropped off a new prescription for myself and waited one hour in my car to pick up my medicine. First, they told me my daughters medication was not ready for pickup that day, but again would be ready another day at 1pm. I would also need id to pick up my medicine. I left, extremely irritated. I called to complain of the service I was receiving. The young man who answered listened to my complaint and then stated " I want to help you, but it doesn't sound like you want help. I'm hanging up now."
Never did anyone apologize for the poor service or disregard in not calling and letting me know the issues with my daughters medicine or anything. I then returned to the store and asked for all my scripts back and went to Walmart pharmacy where I will stay. My family of 4 may not matter to your pharmacy employees or your company either, but what I do not have to do is put up with poor service.
I was also checked for stealing at this same store even though I never went out the door with my purchase and had a receipt for cough drops in my bag. It was the only thing in my bag. I won't go back to that store and maybe no others.
ventilation
I am highly allergic to seafood, avoiding the area where the seafood is has not been the problem. The problem is when I went down there different isles that were away from the seafood I got hit with the smell of it. This is the second time it has happened. My allergy is severe enough the smell will cause me to have a reaction, I almost went to the hospital yesterday. I will no longer be going to that Kroger because of the continued issue.
check out
I was at the Athens GA Alps Rd store this evening with my daughter. It was quite late, I was quite tired, I hadn't expected to be in Athens however the University van service didn't pick up my daughter from her final - which didn't end until almost 10:30pm. By the time I fed her dinner and went to get her some groceries for the next week it was almost 11:15. I say all that so you know the last thing I needed was attitude from your staff.
At that time of night only self check-out was available. Which I hate and never use normally - given I was unaccustomed to it and I had a cart full, add in exhausted, I was not the quickest. Throw in an exhausted daughter who has visual spatial issues who was trying to bag for me and figure out where to set bags as ran out of room it was not a quick check out.
So excuse me if I didn't realize this Kroger couldn't sell wine after 11:30. When I rang up it just said attendant will check (because obviously one would check ID). Then it cleared and said continue checking out on screen. I handed it to my daughter (who is 22 btw) and said just set up on shelf they'll need to check ID. She no sooner set it down than the attendant snatched it up and snapped - and yes I do mean snapped at me hatefully - that I can't buy alcohol after 11:30pm. I said oh I'm sorry I thought it was midnight. To which she snarked that it was state law 11:30.
1. I was pleasant even tho I'd had an exhausting, trying, evening. Don't speak to me in that tone of voice. I hadn't done anything wrong. I didn't argue. Truthfully I wasn't wearing a watch and didn't know the time. I kept a nice tone. I didn't expect to be snapped at like that not once but twice.
2. Maybe this Kroger should post a sign by the wine. The bottle I got was at back end of store and I looked - didn't see one. Turning lights off along those coolers would help too, they were all on.
3. Actually it is this particular district. Which explains why in my area (I live an hour and a half away - keep in mind I'd had to drive up in bad weather no less) I was right - our grocer sells wine and beer up to 11:59pm. Given many come into the Athens area from elsewhere it is understandable we come from places with different policies and local rules...and different states. So seriously, I don't need attitude. Attitude which continued even afterward as checking out. Obviously your attendant is not happy working there and takes it out on customers.
I'd probably have let it slide but honestly, earlier this week while in my local area Kroger (not Athens) - and the time before that - your staff was on the scale of attitudinal to down right rude. Only one staff member stands out as pleasant there and that was before Thanksgiving. No one seems to care about their job much less appreciate a customer. So much so I was already thinking I would go to the Publix near me - same distance just other direction - because for the amount of money I spend weekly on groceries and meds I don't think it's too much to ask to at least be treated courteously.
So please know it's not that I couldn't buy the wine. It was the hateful tone, disrespectful condescending attitude like I was an irritating problem instead of a customer. A problem that apparently is system-wide with Kroger.
I know one thing. We will never step foot in the Athens Kroger again. There was absolutely no reason for her to be so hateful to me. She wasn't nice to anyone that I could tell - like I said I had a cart full of groceries so wasn't a fast checkout and could hear other conversations around us - it wasn't just me.
25 days of christmas
I have been nothing but a loyal customer to u shop at 3 different Indiana stores and u have this sale make a huge deal of it and then don't send the toys listed to the stores for it have checked all 3 stores daily and had my sister also interested in toy items that you never even had we both worked hard at obtaining these and feel you falsely advertised items and wasted our time extremely dissatisfied with you.
service
I ordered a dozen eggs for Thanksgiving 3 days in advance. Went to pick them up and they were not there. I was upset as I signed up to bring them for dinner. Also, the last two times I shopped there they forgot to put my groceries in basket. Had to go back and pick them up. This is on Echo Lane by Memorial in Houston. They dont care. I called to voice my complaint and they hung up on me. Terrible customer service and Mr Hernandez, store manager is clueless.
self checkout worker
I was shopping at Kroger store on Fremont in la Port Texas and one of my digital coupons weren't working so I asked the older lady working self checkout for help and she was no help at all and being so rude then she walked away so I decided to void the item which I've done at many other Kroger stores and Wall-Mart stores before and never had a problem she comes up behind and says you can't void an item we have to do that I said I'm not a [censor] she said what did you say I said I'm no a [censor] I've done this many times before and then to complete the void I know I need to hand it to a staff member so they can complete the void and she was still very rude me so I told her to forget it and stormed out of the store very pissed off I'll never be shopping there again especially with that rude woman there
employee
I went through the self check out lane at Kroger in Jeffersonville off 10th street. I had 9 cans of baby formula and 4 packs of baby wipes. I am a WIC costumer, I processed to use my wic card when it showed it was not accepting my purchase. They moved my order to the end of the lane to have an employee help me. She informed me I had grabbed the wrong kind of formula. So she took all items from my cart, which again were 9 cans of formula and 4 things of baby wipes. I take my cart to go get the correct 9 cans of formula. When I return she tells me she was only able to void 7 cans of formula and I had rang up 9. She asked me where the other 2 cans where I told her I didn't know considering she took all the bags I had. She then proceeds to grab my purse and ask if they were in there. I told her no? But she continued to look through my personal belongings. I noticed she had sat one of my bags on the floor and there lied the other 2 cans of formula. I am very upset with the manner of this woman going through my personal things and accusing me of stealing when it was her error to check all the bags she had taken from my cart. I told a manger and even had a witness who was behind me in line say she witnessed the whole incident. I was given a $30 gift card but I do not feel this is appropriate for the situation that happened to me. I will not be returning to that Kroger ever again. I have been a valid costumer for the past 6 months and I shop there weekly.
I certainly understand why you're upset. Besides an apology however they weren't necessarily required to offer anything else. A $30 gift card was a nice and generous offer. It's very likely that they will speak to the employee privately as well (since you're a customer you won't be privy to this, of course). What resolution were you looking for?
She probably wanted free sausages and a bunch of other free [censor]. She's on WIC, so you can only imagine.
I think at the time I was so upset I wanted something done, and money wasn’t the answer. I believe if your integrity is questioned it really hits home and money doesn’t make you feel better. I have made peace with the situation and let it go.
cereal
My wife used to purchase several boxes of your peanut butter multi-grain toasted cereal a week for her and a friend. However, you have changed the recipe by doubling the sugar and calling it 'sweetened'. She will not buy cereal with so much sugar. I can understand that this might appeal to children (and purchased by unenlightened parents), but can you at least bring back the less sweetened version so that others can enjoy? Surely the additional choice will be welcomed by your shoppers. Thanks for your time.

$300 worth of moneypak green dot cards purchased with $0 money on them
On 9/10/2017, I bought 5 green dot money paks or $50 each at the kroger located on lowes drive in clarksville, tennessee, totaling $300.
Unfortunately, when I got ready to download the money paks to my green dot visacard, on 10/26/2017, the online transfer said that the card had already been used. I am disappointed because I did not use my money prior to trying to download it. I contacted green dot and was told to go to www.moneypak.com and file for my refund. I communicated with this online site on october 27th, nov 2nd (4 emails), nov 4th (6 emails), nov 7th (6 emails), nov 10 (6 emails), nov 14th and nov 23rd and received some miscellaneous comments:
"we have completed our review and determined that green dot is not liable for returning any funds for the reasons(s) listed below: you provided the moneypak information to the recipient. There were no funds to recover."
This is a crazy response. I purchased the green dot's money pak cards in good faith that I would be able to transfer them to a credit card for purchase and my money has been stolen. For one thing, kroger sold me the cards at $5.95 each in good faith. I was told that kroger's policy is the pay with cash for green dot/money pak cards. For another thing, when I went to kroger to let them know that I could not access the funds on my card, they told me to come back the next day and they would research and find out the dates, times, and occurrence of who took money from my card - as this is a standard service for vendors whose gift cards and money cards kroger sells. When I returned, kroger called green dot and there response was to have me, the client contact www.moneypak.com. Obviously, I feel taken advantage of and mistreated.
I want my money back plus my $5.95 fee per card. This is simply unacceptable.
• I filed a police report with officer shawn delle at www.clarksvillepd.org cpd17-104749
• filed a complaint with the local clarksville, tennessee better business bureau in tennessee on november 20th. (complaint id#: 583791 business name: green dot corporation)
To resolve the problem, I would appreciate your company sending me my money back plus my $5.95 for each card purchased. Enclosed are copies of my records (include and not limited to purchase receipts from kroger, copies of money pak cards, police reports files, emails from green dot, etc…).
I look forward to your speedy reply and a resolution to my problem and will wait until one week before seeking help from a consumer protection agency or better business bureau. Please contact me at the above address or by phone at 916.949.6805 and via email [protected]@gmail.com.
My next step will be to continue a complaint with:
• bbb california
• consumer complaint with consumer affairs
• fbi complaint
• econsumer.gov
• econsumer.gov and other sites to report fraud as seen on https://www.usa.gov/stop-scams-frauds#item-35157
If feel that the kroger company should not endorse companies who have obviously been known to take customers money. Apparently, green dot has been stealing clients' money for a while. This was my 1st time purchasing green dot money pak cards.
I spoke with assistant manager, john friend on wednesday, november 29th about this matter at the kroger lowes drive location.
I expect to receive my money asap.
I hand delivered letters again requesting my $300 plus $5.95 from kroger for money pak purchases on saturday, dec 2nd.
As of 12/4/2017, I have not received any response from kroger.
saturday's download coupon - 99 cent crisco
I have been a faithful Kroger customer at the Cookeville, TN location for many years. I am usually in Kroger 2 to 3 times a week, but I have started getting the bulk of my groceries on Saturday because of the Saturday digital coupon. This past Saturday, December 2nd, was a nightmare. By the time I arrived at 11 a.m., all the Crisco was sold out. I was told by an associate, I could substitute a different oil or get a rain check. There was no oil left in the store to substitute with, so I went to customer service to get a rain check. Upon arriving I was told that no rain checks would be given. In other words, TOO BAD. Needless to say, I was not happy. I finally found someone, Erin, who believed in taking care of the customer. She went out on a limb and wrote me a rain check. I am very disappointed in the customer service given to shoppers on Saturday. Besides being a mad house, loyal customers went home without their promised product.
Disappointed in Kroger, Sheila Chaffin
bagger
When you have all perishables on converor together, why would you put cottage cheese in bag with non parisables, why cake mix in bag with, I have complained constant on the bagging of groceries the right way, especially when they are already in bag order
Money is hard earned and nothing is cheap
Another,
ready made pie crust in bag with fresh turkey along with items in the crust
I keep saying no more, but have shopped kroger for years and hate that you can't train your baggers, don't say you don't have time for your checker should monitor and not talk
Plus right at noon time and have no chicken,
Not only me but another customer wanting rotisserie chicken and none available
No one to check as to why
customer service money order transaction
I shop at Kroger for all my grocery needs. I have been purchasing money orders from Kroger almost every month for the 1 years I have been in the state of Georgia. I use a pre paid debit card to purchase those money orders when I do.
Today 12/02/2017 my husband went into Kroger Windward Commons in Alpharetta 30004 and was treated as if he had stolen a card and had been attempting to steal someones money. He asked the woman who would only identify herself as Maria, for a money order for 1, 016. She asked to see his card..then asked to see his ID.. then after seeing his card and his ID decided to tell him that Kroger does not except prepaid cards for money transactions. Which is a not true because as I stated in the beginning we have used this card to purchase money orders from Kroger countless times.
When my husband called and told me I called the store and Maria gave me the same spiel which is not possibly true. She even went so far as to say they have fired employees for allowing money transactions using prepaid cards.
My family chooses to shop at Kroger over Publix because the prices are great and there is always a family feel when I shop there.
As a Black man in these already racially tense times, my husband found himself being racially profiled, embarrassed and humiliated first as if he was some kind of criminal and then as if his money was not good enough to spend in Kroger.
Maria was clearly judging him by his skin color in assuming that his card was stolen and I honestly expected more from a Kroger associate, especially a member of management, as she stated she was a manager.
rude, poor service
12/01/2017
I was in the self checkout line.I had an item ring up wrong and Kayla
The cashier that was in charge of self checkout came over and fix the item. She(Kayla)then went to another cashiers line swinging a broom like a baton, to go flirt with this young man and his friend that was hanging out.Another person in self checkout was having a problem, he was looking for someone to help him.She reluctantly went to go help him.I also needed help again and waited while she is swinging this broom flirting 2 lines down from where she was supposed to be. Mr. Harvey then came to help me.Telling Kayla she needed to be with her area. She told him she needed to move, because people were being rude to her, she continued to flirt with this young man...
I waited again... all in all I was in line for over 20 minutes, because she wouldn't help her customers. I am very thankful to Mr. Harvey for helping me and another person. She is not a person that should not represent Kroger's.
Very upsetting experience's.
unethical behaviour
Date of Incident 11/30/2017 at approximately 8 pm. Kroger's in Durham, North Carolina (North Pointe Store)
I have never been treated so poorly by both associates and Management ever before. The task was simple, we wanted to order 2 birthday cakes for 2 children. We had the 2 children with us along with a younger child. There was a woman there in front of us. She ordered a cake without incident then once she was finished everyone disappeared. No one wanted to help us to order our cakes, all the associates just walked off and suddenly became "dumb" as to how to order a cake. They were deli workers and claimed to know nothing about cakes, despite helping the woman in front of us. We asked for a manager. We were told the manager also didn't know anything about ordering cakes! They wouldn't call the manager and I had to actually get on my daughters cell phone and call the store from inside the store! No answer so we went to customer service and finally a cashier called the manager for us! He wasn't interested in what happened to us, or how we were treated. He was rude to my grandson, it was a terrible experience. I'm in tears just thinking about how horribly we were treated. I work for Food Lion and I have seen a lot of things, but never ever have I ever dealt with such ignorance in all my life.
very poorly stocked store
I am writing because the Kroger in Cincinnati on Wooster Pike (Mariemont) is beyond a doubt the worst stocked store I have ever encountered (and I spent high school working in grocery stores). My husband and I have experienced them being out of organic whole milk, all brands, at least 15 times. We have a toddler - we need whole milk. Repeatedly they have none. When we push them, they find some in the back but we have to wait 15-20 minutes. This is inconvenient and poor customer service. We spend $500-1000 at Kroger every month but I am ready to go elsewhere. Meyers, Target, and Costco can collectively meet our needs instead. If I have to drive all the way to Oakley for milk, I might as well just go to the Target or Meyers there instead of the Kroger, and I do now. If the Kroger nearest our house (on wooster pike) cannot meet our need of providing organic whole milk for our toddler, I will not buy anything there and instead use other grocery stores. If this was a 1-2 time occurrence it would be understandable but it happens to us at least 4 times a month for the past year. Something clearly is wrong with the way this store is managed.
