Kool Smiles appointment service

I was on the phone for 15 mins trying to set up a new patient appointment for myself! I said I am at work, if I hang up do I have to start over? She said yes. Anyhow she gives me an appointment for August 6, but doesn't know the location so I'm waiting AGAIN for her to find the location I had to hang up. I call back to see if the appointment did take, the next lady said no, and that the next appointment wouldn't be until FEBRUARY! I said the other lady just told me August. She said well I don't know what to tell you, it's not until February! I think that's ridiculous! And definitely NOT a good look! And I don't have a direct number to call the office!

Kool Smiles unnecessary dental procedures

My son whom is now 12 has been receiving dental treatment from Kool smiles located at 4054 Buford Hwy NE, Atlanta, Ga 30345 for over five years. Each time I take him in for an annual checkup I am told that he has a minimum of 3-4 cavities even on newly erupted teeth, though he goes to the dentist on a regular basis and when he is home I monitor his brushing. I mentioned my concerns to the dental assistants because the dentists at this location never make themselves available to speak to the parents and I'm told that my son is not brushing well. Also, when I mention sealants as a preventive method since my son "supposedly" acquires cavities quite frequently, I'm told that he already has cavities on his teeth which prevents the dental assistants from applying sealants each visit. However, I am a dental assistant and it is rare that a child whom visit the dentist often and brush regularly to have numerous cavities each time he or she visit the dentist unless that child has some type of deficiency that causes his or her teeth to decay more rapidly than normal. I'm concern that this dental office is practicing bad dental practices for the sake of making a profit and that my son is receiving treatment that is not necessary. So, I've decided to not only complain but also I'm in the process of switching my son's dental provider. Additionally, I looked up several reviews and complaints about Kool Smiles and I felt that this was necessary to do because Kool Smiles has been involved in a lawsuit for these same practices. Furthermore, WellCare which was once affiliated with Kool Smile has also disassociated themselves from Kool Smiles because numerous complaints has been filed and investigations of Kool Smiles has provided sufficient evidence that Kool Smiles has performed numerous dental procedures on children that were not necessary. I'm betting it was all for monetary value as usual. "Free the dollar bill and gain some integrity Kool Smiles". Hyperlink below gives insight to those whom want to know.

Kool Smiles kool smiles commits fraud by torturing children for profit

DO NOT bring your children to Kool Smiles.

Kool Smiles has been convicted of fraud in performing unneeded treatment on innocent children for money.

Kool Smiles illegally says you cannot go back with your child—A LIE—so they can torture your child with unneeded work to make more money.

Kool Smiles tortures Children by wrapping them up in papoose boards against Dental Board recommendations all so they can carry out their unnecessary treatment more quickly. They don't care if they hurt your child. Your child will have permanent psychological problems, but Kool Smiles doesn't care.

Kool Smiles hires incompetent, new dentists that know nothing about working in children, and lie when they say they have pediatric dentists, so they can save money.

Kool Smiles is 50% more likely to carry out baby root canals, place silver crowns and pull teeth, all unnecessary to make more money. Your child's teeth will be permanently ruined but Kool Smiles diesn't care.

Kool Smiles pays bonuses to their workers the more treatment they carry out, so your child will be getting unnecessary work by greedy, sadistic cretins.

Kool Smiles has literally killed children—2 recently—all in the name of making more money.

If you have been injured by Kool Smiles, please file a complaint with your state dental board and please join the class action suit against Kruel Smiles.

Kool Smiles staff and management

I called and complained about the way my son and I were treated at the the Shreveport Louisiana location on Jewella Ave. My son was just and scared and I was disrespected and humiliated by the staff. I never even got a call back. I am disgusted when I see your commercial on tv and my son never wants to see a dentist now. The lady I spoke with when I called the corp. number said that she would send the complaint in and i would be contacted, but I never heard from anyone. This experience has made my husband and I to contact someone who will care being nobody in your organization has the decency to call me back.

Kool Smiles service and customer service

The Kool Smiles that I took my kids to back home was awesome, this one in okc is not. The very first appointment was great, my youngest son had a root canal and the dentist was just awesome. So I scheduled my other two there for exams/cleanings despite it being an 1 1/2 HR drive and scheduled another root canal and prepaid 166$ co-payment. When these appointments come about I am told that the first two kids appointments will need to be rescheduled because their hygenesist did not show up for work and they were sorry they didn't call, (tho I did receive a text that morning for me to confirm the appointment, which I did). The Dentist my youngest was scheduled for had taken a vacation and they said this other dentist would be seeing him today. So we waited an HR past the scheduled appointment to be seen by a young dentist who was blunt and short in speech, and who had more attention for his lovely flirttascious assistant. So my son was not having it, and says he is just going to refer him out. I ask the receptionist if I could please reschedule with the dentist I had seen before because he was really great and made my son feel safe, and brave! She says no problem and sorry for the confusion that morning. So a few weeks later, I believe it was may 14th, I bring him back for the procedure with my favorite dentist, well upon arrival they again say there sorry but they should have called me, that his schedule had changed and he would not be available, that they could fit me in with a different dentist, I said not if it's the guy who saw me last time, she laughs and says something about him filling hrs, so I wait in the office for over 2 hrs to finally be seen, and no disrespect implied, a Indian woman with a heavy accent sees him, which she was extremely sweet but hard to understand and i believe that the communication barrier was the problem. Anyways I ask the receptionist if I am going to receive my money back since I already payed and am now being referred out. She says yes, I'll put that in right away but it can take up to six weeks for you to receive a check from our finance Dept. So around June 10 or 11 I call back and ask for the status, the guy says he will put me on a brief hold, and after about 10 min waiting, he gets back on and says they must be really busy because he can't reach them and he will have them call me later that day. So I never heard from him and 2 days later I call back and I'm told that isn't dealt with in there office that I can call the 855 number to reach that Dept. So I call and a man says he will submit the refund. That I should have it within 10 days. So around the 25 I call because I still haven't received it, and I'm told he's having computer issues and having trouble looking up the account. That he will have to call me back, so the next day I call back not ever receiving a call back, and this real snotty rude fellow starts telling me well honey, it was just put in this morning, and it's gonna be ten days like honestly you need to wait. Now I'm "honestly" pissed. So I'm like you know what I've been hearing all sorts of [censored], I want my money back so I can get my son's work done. I've already had to reschedule it once, now I am going to have to once again. Well honey that's all I can do for you. So guess what happens now? I just got off the phone with a woman from that 855 number about a half he ago and she says they approved the refund but there waiting on the finance department to release it, that it should be released within 10 days, I say lady it's July 9. And she says yes but it was only approved on the, she pauses, apparently trying to calculate the days between June 26 and July 9, well I don't know I'll have to email the finance Dept and call you back. I say listen, I'm really irritated with this whole situation can I please be transferred to that Dept. She says no she can't do that, so I say well can I speak to a supervisor in your dept? No, no I'll just have to call you back, I said you realize I've been told that numerous times and it never happens. Well that's all I can do, I realize that so can I have an email, no- can I have the address so I can write the corporate office a personal written letter, she starts laughing and says this is corporate, I say yes but I'm going to start needing physical evidence of this companies failure to relinquish finances, she isn't laughing but I have to have here repeat the address twice because I couldn't get it written down as fast as she spoke it... So here I am ranting online too, maybe someone in the finance Dept will see this? 😒 Smh

Kool Smiles tooth extraction

On May 1, 2018 my son had a 3:00pm Appointment with Dr. Everlyn Collier for his front teeth to be extracted. Dr. Collier begin by using the numbing gel on his gums then proceeded to use the needle to numb my son even more upon realizing he was getting a shot in his mouth my son began to cry, cover his mouth, turn his head from her. Dr. Collier became frustrated from my son behavior she made the comment " I can't work with him", and walked out the room where my son and I were. My son is only 6 and any child would be terrified to get a shot in their mouth. After about ten minutes Dr. Collier returned and extracted only one tooth when both needed to be out( front teeth). I tried to get my son to apologize to her for his crying aloud and be afraid, but bluntly ignored him while he apologized and finished up her paper work and left the room. Dr. Collier made me feel very unpleasant and that was the worst visit we've had at Kool Smiles. The assistant was really genuine and friendly. I will never bring my child there again if Dr.Collier is there, she will never be able to do work for my son. She didn't give me any after care instructions or after care procedures to follow up at home. Dr. Collier didn't try to soothe my child y'all him into thinking it was ok or coach him into trusting her to extract his teeth. Dr. Collier isn't a pediatric dentist so kids are not who she should work with, especially difficult and scared children.

Kool Smiles staff at louisville, kentucky kool smiles location on broadway

I do not have a compliment for this business. I went there one year ago and was treated well. X-rays were taken of my teeth and I did my annual teeth cleaning for adults. This year on April 11th I was unable to get my teeth cleaned because I refused the X-rays. Not what was the problem with me not wanting the X-rays. I called my insurance and they informed me that this dentistry was trying to rack up the bill by asking me to have X-rays done every year as an adult. now my teeth couldn't possibly have changed that drastically over the course of a year- I'm an adult. On top of that a manager came out and made like I was a problem client and escorted me out of the building. I have reported Kool Smiles to Passport so that they can not that in their files. Businesses like this often loose their Passport privileges. No thanks to any of you. And I won't be back- no apology needed.

To find out that a place of business that is for children are scaming its clients and Passport is mind blowing. As if me- an adult- can't refuse certain services. I came for a teeth cleaning, not an X-ray. No one's teeth change that drastically in just one year- no one! People get cancer from not just genes- but excessive amount of radiation contact as well- just an FYI- but the dentist told me it's safe, though. But she certainly isn't going to pay for my cancer treatments when I Develop oral cancer- just saying.

They constantly rescheduling my dentist appointments, because of a mistake they have made, and I don't think it's fair at this point, they need better communication skills in this office.

Kool Smiles hadasah howard

Ms. howard (victim) is currently under the state no contact order with her child's father and is causing alot of drama on and off the job. they are constantly texting threats even tho she has been caught texting him while working, it still continues the non stop phone calls I told her turn his phone off because it's in her name but she says he needs it but when she mad she is using the phone as a tool against him on/off then asked staff to turn down all calls. Mar [protected]:00pm ms. howard leaves on her lunch break and goes to him around here to fight and ended up causing a lot of people to come outside the business in the parking lot for her and she was called and asked to come outside she refused and then she asked the staff to speak up for her but then went back to calling and texting him saying that the staff will speak for her in court, putting them in danger to whatever she started because it's clear shes being controlled by her mother I read some text even we went out and hooked her up but she don't care. she tells all the staff personal business. I was even accused of stealing money from her and she did not tell him shes always broke cus she's buying everyone else stuff to be invited places but want to blame it on people she work with instead of telling her man the truth. so she broke there family because of things she's doing on the job and breaks. etc

Kool Smiles everytime we go for cleaning, kool smiles says they have 4 cavities.

We have been going to Kool Smiles in Eastpoint Mall in Baltimore, Maryland for the past 5 years when my daughters started with Braces. Every time they would go, Kool Smiles would say they had 4 cavities that needed to be filled. Well after a couple years of this i knew there was no way my daughters had a tooth in their mouth that hadn't already been filled by kool smiles and i started getting suspicious. I checked reviews and found that kool smiles around different states had been sued for lying and saying children needed fillings and crowns when in fact there was nothing wrong with the teeth. So now my granddaughter started going to kool smiles in Eastpoint Mall in Baltimore maryland, 21224 and sure enough every time she goes for a cleaning they tell her she has 4 cavities that need to be filled.

Took my son for his wisdom teeth extraction today and they weren't able to do anything because they said they don't have a Dr for that right now (which I had asked them when I made my son's appointment earlier that week) and they also tell me they have to check with the insurance to make sure it covers it!... My son has been going to this dentist since he was 5... My question is why couldn't they verify before I had to travels 2 hours and rent a hotel the night before just to be there at 8am and for them not to be able to give him any services smh now they had to reschedule him and they still have to verify with his insurance

That is definitely unusual. Every dentist I have visited has always made sure to verify what was covered through insurance before doing anything. Have you considered switching to a closer dentist?

Kool Smiles exploitation and unnecessary charges

Today I had a 3:00 PM appointment with Kool Smiles on Highway 28 in Anderson, SC to get a loose upper bridge re-cemented that had come loose. This was my first time and I had the bridgework done when I lived in another town three years earlier so it was too far to return to my previous dentist.

I arrived and was given paperwork to complete. After a while I was called up to the receptionist desk and she proceeded to tell me that before the dentist could even look at my bridge, I was going to have to pay $265 for them to clean my teeth. I explained my teeth did not cleaning and I only came there to have my bridge repaired. She went and talked with the dentist and came back and told me that he refused to see me unless I paid the $265 for the cleaning first. I am 70 years of age and I refuse to be taken advantage of like this, so I left. What a bunch of crooks!

Today, September 22, 2017 my son had a 11:15 A.m. appointment at Kool Smiles on Keystone Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana. I walked in 2-3 minutes early and proceeded to sign my son in. The receptionist stated that my son could not be seen due to me having to fill out his paperwork before he could be seen and their lunch starts at 12 noon. I stated I am on time for his appointment and he can't be seen because y'all lunch starts at 12 noon? The receptionist stated yes. I said but I'm on time. She stated yes but our lunch starts at 12 noon and I don't know why they would set an appointment after 11 am. I stated so am I in the wrong for making my appointment on time. She stated he can't be seen until 1p.m. because our lunch starts at 12. I am so mad! They had no consideration for me or my son! I made the appointment, why couldn't my son be seen!?!
