Kmart horrible customer service

I bought a microwave oven at Kmart 6 months ago, it just stopped working. I got out the book, spent an hour on the phone with Sears/Kmart customer service, got transferred 3 times, and ultimately ended up with "D. J." from Kmart Customer Service. I told him the microwave was 6 months old and I had the box. I told him I did not have the receipt, I said if I take it back to Kmart, will they exchange it for me? He said yes, just take it back and they will exchange it. My car is a long walk from where I live, I lug this huge box back to my car, up to Kmart (Streetsboro, OH) and in to the store, for them to just tell me sorry, we have a 90-day return policy. Then, why after I spent an hour on the phone would the customer service guy tell me to take it there? I never would of gone through all that trouble otherwise! The store manager; Chris Flood, was quite a little twerp. Went back home called customer service and all I got was I don't know why he told you that, but you'll have to call the manufacturer (Kenmore, I don't recommend them) and get it serviced! It supposedly had a 1-year warranty when I bought it I can�t believe they won�t exchange it � Microwaves should last longer than 6 months! I don�t want to know where I am going to have to drag this thing next and how long it will take. I am so pissed! I use it everyday.

Do yourselves a favor people; shop Wal-mart, the customer service is much better. No wonder Kmart was going under until Sears bought them, now I hope they still do.

The customer service at KMart online is just horrible. If you need to contact them about an order by email, you will get an unhelpful email form letter. If you try calling, their call center will put on hold for hugely long times. If you ask to speak to a supervisor... well, just forget it. You'll be put into "on hold hell".

You are right, Now days you have to pay extra to cover the warranty. That is so stupid! Plus, I love Walmarts, but lots of people talk about how miserable their employees look while helping you. And most of them really do. Mostly young people though. They just don't understand the value of a job these days. When they're standing in that unemployment line though, I bet they will. Be happy! Whistle while you work! At least until someone tells you to shut up!

ANY STORE has a 90-day guarantee. HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN SHOPPING, LADY? You need to wake up and realize that ALMOST EVERY STORE HAS A 90-DAY GUARANTEE... "WITH RECEIPT!" Wal-Mart isn't any better. They employee juveniles who don't care about their work only their pay-check. At least when you go to K-Mart, their staff is made up of local people who have been employed with K-Mart for an average of 15 years --- find that at Wal-Mart!

Linda at the service desk is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and she will be more than courteous to anyone - BECAUSE THAT IS HER NATURE! Find that at the Streetsboro Wal-Mart... it won't happen. Rebecca is wonderful too. Roxanne is more than willing to help the customers. Why are they more polite than Wal-mart workers? Because they care about people - not volume business that prides itself on imported products from third-world countries who pay their employees nothing short of dirt.

K-Mart in Streetsboro has survived better than imagined AND THAT IS BECAUSE THEIR PEOPLE GENUINELY CARE. AND JUST LIKE ANY OTHER STORE, THEY CANNOT HELP WHAT CORPORATE RULES ARE... AND THAT GOES FOR WAL-MART AS WELL.

YOU SHOULD HAVE SPOKE WITH THE STORE BEFORE YOU WASTED YOUR PRECIOUS TIME RETURNING AN ITEM YOU THOUGHT WAS "RETURNABLE." I GUARANTEE YOU THAT WAL-MART WILL NEVER BEGIN TO THINK OF TAKING BACK A PRODUCT AFTER 90 DAYS... ESPECIALLY WITHOUT A RECEIPT! DO YOU THINK ONLY K-MART SALES THAT MICROWAVE? MY GUESS IS THERE ARE PROBABLY ANOTHER 30 PLACES THAT CARRY THAT SAME MODEL. SO, WHAT MAKES YOU THINK ANY STORE WOULD THINK IT WAS EXCLUSIVELY FROM K-MART AND WHAT DATE IT WAS PURCHASED? my complaint is about the manger at the kmart store 3029 -----recept# [protected] --12/13/08 2;05 pm [protected] my wife has a back problem's ---dr's are trying to help her but that's not the issue here - she goes out shopping with her friend the first 1hour to 2hours she ok after that she needs aq little help she hates to but she has to have help motorize wheel chair would help keep some indepence to her but the manger at this time was 100% {###} to my wife ---it is my under standing that mangers are to offer help to coustmers and if the manger is having a bad day her time of the month, a bad employer, she's to keep all problems under her breath till she can deal with them one on one not take it out on coustmers with a [censor]ie ### att. lawrence hensley

Kmart no service at jewerly counter for 20 mins once and 25 min the second time landed up walking out of your store

I went in the inverness store to purchase a neclace, I waited for 20 minutes, I then went to look for some shoes, I came back waited for another 25 minutes, still no one came around.
I then left my cart and walked out the door.

Just remember word of mouth is the best advertising there is.

I was in there on dec 09 2008. The number of the store is 9793 in inverness fla.
I would appreciate some feed back or some kind of an explanation, because I enjou shopping at k-mart far more then I do even wal-mart.

The jewelry counter is operated by a Kmart employee who is working nearby but in other close by sections of the store. They keep checking to see if anyone is there at the counter needing help. But if no one is there then they have other duties such as stocking and straightening the area merchandise. The Service Counter is a close by and in sight of the jewelry counter and they can page the employee to the jewelry counter if a customer let's them know they need assistance. Like in any store if you need help you go to an employee nearby and ask for it.

Kmart bad service

i live in greene county pa, and i had a laway put on in uniontown pa kmart, i was told i needed to have my layaway out by dec.5 i traveled about an hour to get there stood in line for almost 3 hours it was about 10 till 10 pm, and im told i wasnt getting my stuff cause they were closing at 10, told to come back next day first of all i dont drive had to get a way there and then be told i wasnt getting my stuff was a bunch of bull ###, found a way back up the next day and it was very bad driving conditions we slid all over the road saw 5 wrecks and one was almost us, but i will never and mean never use that store to do business at again and would not recommend it to any one elese either that was just ingorant and inconseridate of the store, it is christmas and they were getting my money.with gas prices and the econmy it is hard on myself and a lot of other people.will never use kmart to shop again.

Kmart couldn't cash my check

I went thru the check-out and paid by check also showing my drivers license. Cashier jody said it wouldn't except my check. I said "why not" she said it doesn't tell me, just call 800 number on back. I paid for my purchases with cash that I didn't want to use. That was so embarrassing. I have never in my entire life had that happen before. The check-out lines were long and everyone was getting mad that I was taking so long. I called the 800 number and they told me that an extra 4 was added to my driver's license number, that is why it was rejected. It was the cashiers fault for not doing it right and caused me all the aggravation. Next, I called the store to talk to the manager, the girl who answered said to hold on. For 15 min. I held on like a fool.. And no one picked up. This was totally uncalled for. I am fed-up with being treated this way.

Kmart scam-scam-scam

Made electronics purchase and got receipt that offered a possible $2500 gift card for completing an on-line customer service survey. After finally getting to the survey there were some suspicious instances during the survey whereby you cannot continue without giving information that has NOTHING to do with customer service at K Mart or anywhere else! This needs to be inquired about by someone in law enforcement, fraud division.04fdc

Kmart horrible pictures/customer service

We went to K-mart and we saw what we thought was great deal for Olan mills pictures . We went On a sunday at 4 Pm did not get our pictures taken till 6:00pm with a fussy 1 yaer old and two teen girls that was not an easy task. We were rushed through the pictures . They came out horrible some arent centered right you can see the background more than you can see us, another picture my head is overshadowing my husbands face and another picture my babys legs are sticing way up in the air...the complaints are endless and on top of it I would up spending 100 dolars more than they said I would need and you know I would not have minded if the pictures were good, but they are NOT!

I just started working for Olan Mills, and I am in my 4 week training period. I feel comfortable in the camera room and I have over 5 years of experience working with infants and young children, so I love that part of the job. It's the sales end I wasn't as prepared for. I know sales is a "skill" that you learn, but I don't enjoy it, and I can't fake that I like it either. I tried selling Mary Kay last year, and hated it because I felt like I was annoying people, and with the aqusitioning, that's what i'm afraid of. I also will be working the studio alone, and I am a little intimidated by it. I am just really unsure of what I should do. I don't know if I should see the rest of the training through, or just tell them I don't want to waste their (or my) time and hope they can find a better fit for the entire job.

bad apples? Upper management are bad apples and no they don't only make checks every 2 weeks. They can print a check for the customer whenever they want to. Olan Mills will be upfront with you only on things you need to know how long have you been there wait you will see what I mean!

Well Mary Leopard. To sit and insult these hard working women is ugly on your character u must be from or know or even be making your money off the backs of over worked employees n I see yall stand together off of over worked labor .I take pictures a lot my son enjoys them and when it has come to u bringing your own props that's sad. One person to take pics while phone ringing kids can't keep steal cause they are boxed in like a animal customers in line trying to pick up orders and u sit there on your little key board degrading these women. Honestly u ever realize u call to set a apt and the answer machine picks up . Cause there is only 1 person working these women proved to the company they have earned there position in olan mills and what do they do they fire people to hire people with less experience and less pay. And push till they quit so they won't have to pay unemployment.u are apart of the problem not the solution and the economy is getting worse so when its your job on the line will u say the same for your job they let u go cause of the recession and hired someone with less experience for little pay but they still a good company and they must have let me go for my attitude hell no u won't u might try learning HUMILITY I take better pics of myself rather some new 19 year old that took the job to have a summer gig and there's women who needs to feed there kids and pay rent but hey a big company only care about what tax right off they can make and buying a new house now how u feel Ms.Leopard have u ever heard the story of a man name Jhon henry

Wow. I read your complaints with interest. Too bad a company that has touched so many Americans' lives is accused of treating its employees so badly. For the girls who gave so many years of dedication to Olan Mills, please try to start your own studios! If I had a loyal customer base, I know they would follow me anywhere. Good luck to you. Actually, mary leopard, I too have worked for Olan Mills for 8 years. I have worked in many different studios, and every studio and every district has the SAME ISSUES: overworked, underpaid. Studios are disgusting, outdated, same props have been around for literally 20 years. We never get new backgrounds. We have been threatened to be fired if we did not clock out for a full hour for lunch, even if we never got a lunch at all. If you think I'm the exception, consider the fact that Olan Mills settled a lawsuit in August 2010 to the tune of more than $3 MILLION, for this exact reason. Google it.
Ever since Mr. Mills is no longer the CEO of the company (hasn't been for years), lots of very bad choices have been made. For one, the choice to go into KMart stores. Also, they only want ONE employee per studio, unless there are a MINIMUM of twenty appointments scheduled to be photographed... not including the dozen or so people who are scheduled to pick up there portraits. We are supposed to book appointments at least every 15 minutes, shoot 30 plus poses per sitting, and show and sell them; answer the phone and schedule appointments, and try to squeeze reorders out of everyone who is picking up their photos. Obviously this is humanly impossible, so the result is LOTS of angry customers who want to complain to a district manager. However, we are absolutely NOT allowed to give out their phone numbers. When we mention these overscheduling problems to management, we are told "OH well, they will just have to wait." They NEVER deal with the complaints. I too have around 50 merit awards, gallery prints, online gallery portraits, and many awards where I had the top sittings, sales and average for my entire district, for the entire year. I have only stuck around because the health insurance is great. Olan Mills has lost countless great employees because of their ridiculous policies.

i feel like you all are a select few that have had bad experiences. the company has been in buisness many years and has established credit all over the country. try and keep ur negativity else where just because you did not like your job. every job no matter where has obstcales u must face and over come. however when u are negative it shows up in your work. well good luck in your lives and quit putting down a very good company.

My wife is going through the same crap. She has been with them for 10 years with multiple merits and a gallary print. She has a loyal customer base. She is being screwed over with labor hours because she needs so many sittings to allow for the part time person to work 15 hours with her yet the "outtrainer" for the area's labor hours go against her studio because it is a high business studio and the outtrainer never works in her studio. They are double and triple booking the studio and even booking during her lunch breaks. My wife is working through her breaks unpaid because she is afraid of getting fired. She bringspaperwork home unpaid. She has to use her personal cell phone to call out of area customers because the studio phone wont call long distance.

Kmart sweepstakes

I recently purchased a pair of gold hoop earrings at the Walnutport, Pa kmart. I received a receipt to enter a sweepstakes for 2, 500.00 if I filled out a survey. When I reached the page, I was directed to, the content was strictly about joining other surveys and I was unable to fill out the survey for this store. To me, this is false avertising as well as a scam meant for people to join other surveys.

This is not a complaint. I just wanted to let people know that I contacted kmart customer service on their website and they sent me a link to the sweepstakes site. It is actually www.kmartfeedback.com. I clicked on and was sent to the site. I hope this helps others.

Kmart unhappy services

I went to pick up my layaway, the cashier name brandon, took my money had me to wait for my boxes, ask me to step to side so he can wait on the costumer, I step out of the way, checking my packages, I noticed all my items was not there, brandon check my receipt, said because I step away from the register I have to wait, the other guy who brought out my boxes is the one who will have to go find the other missing items. After 45 to 50 minutes waiting I call for a manager to come to the layaway area, told my story, she ask brandon, who is looking for my other items, he said the guy name, but come to find out the other guy was on lunch, not in the back looking for my lose items. Total wait time 1 hour 15 minutes I had to wait all this time when no one was looking for the lose articles. Very dissappointed with kmart.

The e-mail address does not exist.

KMart is misleading people through fraud and misrepresentation to frequent their stores. In my humble opinion this is false advertising at it's finest.

They should be stopped by legal authority as they are praying on their own consumers.

I just completed a Kmart survey with no problem. Perhaps people would be able to do so if they tried using a different browser. I used Mozilla Firefox. Another possibility is that some people didn't include the www. in the address. I know it's stating the obvious but some might forget to include it. Good luck!

Kmart overcharging

I was shopping at the local Indiana, PA store. Checked products when I arrived home and found that as I was removing the paper sale price, the original tag under the sale tag was $3.00 less expensive.

Merry Christmas...Scrooge must own KMART.

Will I shop here again...no!
Will I inform friends and family...YES! Will I inform management...oh, yea.
Really makes you wonder what else they overcharged you on.

As I stated they have a sale on the item but when you get to register rings up wrong, then when you comfornt the cashier she goes Z& removes the sale tag & puts it on another item. I saw her do it. Then denied it. Needless to say back to walmart I go & they aren't much better, but don't remove the sale tags like Kmart!

Kmart kmart values your feedback!!!

As a single mother of 3 and not knowing how I am going to get any gifts for my children for Christmas I thought, "Why not I'll give the company feedback for the chance to win. Where is it that I do this? I think this pisses me off more than the idiots you have working in the store I went to! Tehachapi, CA store# 4751 Please e-mail me if I am missing something because I do not wish to put my receipt number on here to have someone else use it. Thank you. P.S. I drive AT LEAST 30min to shop at your stores.

While in K Mart everything went well till I came to check out. That was the worst part of the whole experience. I guess I had to wait for a least 15 minutes while the cashier worked out a problem and since there was only one cashier open at the time I had no other choice but to wait. There were finally other cashiers called up front but only after more people came up and waited. The thing that got me so bad is the fact I was like the next in line and shouldn't have had to wait that long. That is why a lot of people don't shop at K Mart any more in this area cause the wait time in the check-out is so long. I only go in there if I have to and yesterday was one of those times. There needs to be something done about customer service in the store here.

Attention all shoplifters attention all shoplifters! Kmart new policy on sho i if a shoplifter run we just let them we just let them go so if you plan on shoplifting all you have in theloss prevention agent or and the loss prevention agent or manager must let you go. this makes a loss prevention agent or managers job almost imposible. Also another policy that Kmart has has imposed is no padding down shoplifters while they are in custody. This policy is not only dangerous but outright ridiculous. The policy is made to cover kmarts ### but at the same time causing a dangerous work enviroment for there lp agents. One day we are going to read about a lp agent getting stabbed or killed to to kmart cover your ### policy. So shoplifters just remember all you have to do is run and you won't get chaced anymore by kmart lp staff and if they chace you call the idiot dlpm and advise them that the staff broke k mart policy.

I have never been treated so rudely by people who are suppose to help you. I was at the store on 8-17-09 and they doubled coupons up to $2.00. One of my coupons was for $1.50 but it did not double. The girl at the register told me to go to Customer Service but there was a long line, I was on my lunch hour. I called when I got back to work and they told me I could come back the next day, which I did. There was no one in line behind me and when I showed the girl my receipt she said it was up to $2.00 so I should only get back .50. I told her it was double up to $2.00 so I should get back $1.50. As I was still talking, she turned around and walked away and another woman who was standing there just totally ignored me and looked off into space. I have never been so insulted. I have been a fan of K-mart for almost 50 years but Wal-Mart looks better all the time. I can understand why people rave about it. I am not so anxious to come back to your store if that is how your employees treat people. It's not so much the $1.50 as much as it's the way I was totally ignored. One of the worst experiences I have had at a store like that. You have lost my business but I expect you will ignore this too and I won't be surprised.

I purchased several items at our local Lewiston, Idaho Kmart store on 12-16-07, some of the items I purchased were on sale and the sale discount was not reflected in the price I was charged for the items. Unfortunately, I did not study my receipt until after I had wrapped the items for Christmas. I was overcharged on two Maxim calenders, ([protected]) they had $4.99 stickers on the outside wrappers but they were scanned at $9.99 each, so there I was overcharged nearly twice what two of them ran. I usually try to watch very carefully when I shop at KMart, since I have been overcharged on all of the last times I have shopped there. Why I did not study out my receipt before leaving the store, considering past performance I don't know, believe me if I ever go back I will be extremely careful to check my receipt before I leave the store.

It shows me how you make your profits, by failing to update your computer system when you have sale items, instead of entering in the sale price, you just leave in full retail and rely on the customer to catch the fraud. Sometimes we do and I would imagine that many times we don't which means free money for KMart.

I visited the store and found a couple of bargains? A blanket reduced from $50 to $20 and a set of towels for $10, they were $17. After leaving the store I realized that the total price of my purchases was above my estimate. I checked the docket to find that I had not received the reduced price. I returned to the store where I endured a long wait at the customer service desk. I told them the problem. They replied they would refund the difference. I queried what had happened to the policy where they refunded the entire price if you were overcharged. They said that they don't do it anymore. No apology was offered and the attitude was taking it or leaves it. This fact has never been advertised by them. Why no big advertising campaign to notify their clients they were not adhering to it. When I tried their toll free number to complain I had to listen to a good 10 minutes of their spiel touting how good they are as a company and customer orientated. I eventually hung up in disgust.

My complaint is that I had shopped at K Mart and bought a number of clothing items on 3/15/08 at 5:58PM in the Pleasantville, N.J. store #3596. One item rang up wrong. It did not have tags on the jacket but a sticker of $10.00. They were having a clearance sale at 50% off. When I got home I checked my receipt and was charged $6.00. The cashier did not even respond to me when it was my turn and I had said hello to her. Anyway, I forgot all about the item not having tags on it or I would have asked her how she came up with the price she did. I had 10 items total. Anyway, I returned to the store today 3/19/08 and asked the assistant manager--Randall--at the costumer service desk about how the cashier came up with the price and he said that she typed in the numbers on the tag inside of the jacket. I asked why I did not get the 1/2 off of the sticker price on the front of the jacket. He said someone must have put it there. I asked to return the jacket and he said he could not do that because the jacket was worn. I said it was not because the K Mart sticker was still on the front of the jacket. He said it was worn. I did not wear the jacket. I had picked it up off of the K Mart floor because I was looking for a 3X fpr my husband and there were none on the racks. The store was a total mess and I thought I had gotten lucky finding one in my husband's size even if it was on the floor. When I looked at the receipt when I got home I did not even take the jacket out of the bag. If the assistant manager had looked at my receipt and saw the jackets I bought including the one I was wearing there was no fuzz or anything on my jacket. I had my jacket on all day at that point. So if it had stuff on it-- it came that way and my eyesite is not the best. I told him that someone must have returned it prior to me buying it and returned it and then it must have been put in clearance for sale. He did not want to hear it. I am sorry that I have to feel I was made a liar. It was bad enough I stood in line for him to help me for at least 10 minutes while he helped the cashier next to him who did not know what she was doing. This is not the first time I have had a problem with this store. I told my husband that I feel like cutting up our Sears card and be done with with Sears and K Mart forever...

I put $300 worth of items on lay-a-way with KMart thinking it would be a benefit. The day that I went to pick up my items, I stood in line for 2 hours! waiting to get to the counter where one person was working the register and one person was getting the items from the back. After paying, I then waited another hour! to get half of my stuff...the other half was missing. I then had to shop for the other half and was told to just leave when I got the rest of my stuff. I was unable to find several of the items that I had already purchased, but could not address this with anyone. Customer Service told me that I would have to go back to the lay-a-way department, but the lay-a-way line was longer than the first time I stood in it. When leaving, the store security system went off cause of the items that I had been told to find and leave. This caused a HUGE embarrassment for me, cause I am not a thief and was only following what the store employee said to do.

Least to say, I will NEVER return to a K Mart...whether for lay-a-way or with cash in hand. I think the store was not clean and had little organization. The employees have an attitude that is equal to that of Walmart employees. No wonder there are not many K Marts left, cause they are a poorly ran store.

When my husband and I walked into KMart yesterday we were handed thes flyer and she said by any thing in the store and you will get addition 10% for your item. We bought a fireplace and I handed the cashier the coupon and she said can't take this off and I said yes cuz that what we were told by couple of the associates in the store. Her supervisor called and they said no way can you take 10% of sales items I dont think that way fair cuz we were told we could have it off. Plus those ladies were kind of rude about it also. Then they should had a meeting before they handed out those flyers and the associates said anything. So I don't know what can be done but I still think it is very unfair. This fire place costed 190.79 with tax. No body could answers questiont either about the product. It isn't what we thought it would be. But it is to heavy to take apart and bring it back. So in a way I feel we just wasted some money because no one could help us and plus we were mis lead.

I just stood in line on Black Friday for 45 minutes to make a handful of purchases (4 items!). An assistant manager came thru and gave us all
Blue Ligtning Cards to expedite our trip thru the cash register, the girl at the register ended up scanning the card and then scanned all my items
and I got double charged! Didn't notice it until I was on the way home, I live an hour and a half away from the store and can't go back now, it wouldn't be worth my trip.

On 5/5/08 I shopped at store #4315 in Iowa city, Iowa and my register tape said to register for $2, 500 gift card on website kmartfeedback.com and there is no such website - what do you have to say about that? Also about a month ago I was at the same store to pick up a picture that had motion and sound. I wanted something like this for a long time as I suffer from depression, anxiety, and insomnia so I thought this would help. I got the last one and when I got to the register the clerk picked it up and said, oh this is broken and the other employee was to have taken it off the shelf. He didn't do his job and I was out a perfect solution to my many problems. Would it have hurt them to contact another store to see if they had one? Never offered. No apology either. Plus pay the utility bill at this store as it so horribly hot in that store in the summers. The clerks have to have fans at the registers. What about customers? The bbb probably would like to hear about your antics. I will probably be shopping at super Wal-Mart from now on.

—i checked out and forgot about my 5. Oo off coupond, had 2 wait in line at service desk and then she gave me a hard time about using it, I didnt know she would have 2 ring every thing up again 2 see if I was able 2 use, I just did it at home and I qualified 4 the 5.00 off I spend alot a money in your store and I dont think that was right to make me stand there and listen to all her bull. Kmart layaway

had a swimming pool on layaway and went to pick it up clerk was a snot and treated me like I was an inconvenience they had put my "pool" back on the shelf as it was after the contract date to pick up. I didnt get a phone call and was home sick unable to pick up on the exact day. The clerk said well we will give you your money back except for the fee. She went to give me my money but had none in the drawer and muttered something. I was getting over being sick and asked her if she could look if it was back on the shelf and was in stock. She said I could look, she didnt offer to look and it was completely on the opposite end of the store. I noticed a manager that was at the end of the isle and I am sure he saw I was obviously not happy but he did nothing. I left the store thinking why wouldnt they call if there was only the last payment left? then two days later I did get a phone call to remind me to pick up my item. It was automated and I couldnt tell them that it was too late according to thier snotty clerk. bad experience and wouldnt recommend going to them for anything.

it is up to you, assuming you are an adult who can read a receipt, to know when your layaway payments are due. That entire time it was in layaway, it is off the sales floor, which means it is not being sold until you go in and make your final payment, which since you didn't show up on time, they have to assume you never will.

I don’t usually do this, but I really feel compelled to let you know about an exceptional employee in your Ripon store. My daughter and I were there the other day and a very polite and charming young man was our cashier. It was very refreshing to have a young person be so courteous and friendly. His name is Dustin. A very personable guy, who appears as though he must really like his job (not to mention this was early in the AM… the store had just opened.. on a cloudy miserable day! Yikes!). This didn’t seem to alter his mood at all… lol I have had many experiences when I go shopping, where the people that check you out, are flat line personality and seem as though they would rather be doing anything other than the job at hand. So many of the younger workers, can be quite inappropriate with customers or with coworkers regarding conversation etc. As I left the Ripon Kmart, it just struck me that he should be commended for his professional demeanor and his customer service skills…. Not to mention a great, friendly smile. Hope he is there again when I have to do my shopping….

If I cant trust you why should we as consumers spend our hardworking money at your store? I think compensation is owed to those who have been deceived for months. Kmart 2500 gift card scam

Just decided to go to look up kmarts 2, 500 hundred dollar gift card found nothing but complaints. So i decided to read some of them went down first page read all went to second page and guess what i did not read one more complaint i was not going to judge what others wrote was going to check it out for myself. So my eyes took me to the left of the site I see "500 dollar gift card so I click on it and low and behold no site to be found I am very dissapointed about this I have spent over just this month alone at my Kmart est. 2000.00 dollars on average I spend close to 600.00 a month I am very well known and always treated with smiles I actually prob. spend closer to 1200 amonth average and receipts to back it up this is a rude awakening for me If this is the lowest Kmart can go I will altogether never buy a ###ing thing from them and bring it to the attention of the public news, I would like to know of one single person who has received a gift card other than a store credit for an everyday return without a receipt

Kmart everything

The bathroom is filthy, the candy has mice droppings in it, the service(when you can find anyone who works here) is the worst i've ever experienced, the manager of the store looks as filthy as his store does. This place should be shut down for health reasons. Other Kmart stores around this area are not this bad. This one should be shut down before someone gets sick.

Hello, 6 months ago I went to Norwalk, Ohio Kmart.Looking to buy a hat.Found one but could not find a mirror to see how the hat looked.
Talked to 2 employees about this.Was told they will see to this.Was back in the store 2 days ago.Saw another hat for the sun, still no mirror.Walked all over the place no mirrors..Than I went to the area where the Goodsense Nicotine Gum was to buy some to stop smoking.Was a shock to see the polacrilex box of 110 pieces of 2 mg was DOUBLE that of Drug Marts same thing, I paid for 1 box at Drug mart 24.00, Kmart price was 42.00.I left the store with nothing from Kmart.I will never go back again.I am 73 years old and need to save but with your out rage prices, I do not need to shop Kmart.Thank you Barb Van Fleet

Kmart rain check

Since October 28th I have been carrying around a rain check for a Panasonic DECT 6.0 phone system with 3 handsets for $69.99. I began calling the store daily to see if they had received a shipment. Then continue calling every other day, now every 3 days. When I was in the store on Wed of this week I was told to call the beginning of next week. When I call someone always has to go look to see if they came in. Wouldn't you think when a product was called for daily or regularly someone's tentacles would be up and watching for that particular product when the shipment is unpacked so I can be told immediately whether or not the product came in? And...is there any chance that this particular shipment will ever come to the Vails Gate store? How can you advertise a product that you do not carry? This store is 40 minutes from my home so I cannot go there every day to check. Is there any other way to get this phone?

Kmart automatic refill system

Couple months ago, the automatic refill system was introduce to the customer. There was a voice messages promted when you call for refill that the K-mart having the autometic refill, just inform to the associate worker or phamarcist to enroll the program. I have never enrolled for the automatic refill.

This afternoon, I called in for refill the medication. The Pharmacy tech. told me that there was no refill left, she would call the doctor. She was then told me that it was her mistake, the last refill was filled on 11-14-2008 and ready for pick up. I was confused and asked how come? I did not call for refill. She explained that the automatic system allows her to refill this and it is ready for me.

I was surprised, since I did not ask to be enrolled this system; why it happens? I spoke to pharmacist in charge at the moment; he said that before you have to enrolled, but now you don't have to it is the K-mart pharmacy policy that we refill the prescription for the patient who has refill every month, and you will informed by phone that the medication is ready for you. I said that what is happening if I do not need to take anymore. He said that the medication will be restock/ When I asked is your policy. He said "YES". I said you better give me the K-mart policy in writing. He said well if you do not like he will take me off the automatic refill system.

This is non sense:
* do not want to be bothered and surprised when someone call "medication is ready for you!"
* what else they are trying hide? Are they going to bill the insurance and the Medicare/ medical? A senior over 70 years old does not care if the K-mart bill to the Medicare/medical. Only the people paying tax who cares.

Next time, when you fill your medication. Do not let them enroll you to the automatic refill system.

I personally did not believe there is a policy; they could be in trouble if they want to disturb people by calling “medication is ready for you!"

I couldn't have said it better. Of course doctors change prescription and patients are admitted
to hospitals and other institutions that provide in stay medications. Patients also die and no
longer need the Rx. Automatic refill is tantamount to a years Rx for maintenance medications.
Patients that are old and dieing are being used as a means to milch medicare and other institutions.
It's hard to keep off automatic refill for the obvious reason that medications will be dispensed
whether they are needed/used or not. Especially at a time like this when the price of
health care is under scrutiny, this gross mismanagement should be put to a screeching halt.
Simply fraud under the guise of better service.

Kmart Corp. routinely enrolls customers for AUTOMATIC refills, whether they refuse this service or not. The company has a software application that searches each store's prescription database and switches the patient profile to AUTOMATIC refills & billing even if the pharmacist opts the person out of this. This is the corporate practice! Additionally, the computer system under corporate control TELEPHONES patients at home to remind them to pay for their prescripts up to 1-2 weeks after the prescription has been purchased. Corporate HQ is aware of the tremendous number of complaints from customers, but they refuse to remedy these practices because they believe these increase the number of prescriptions filled and enhances sales figures.

There is more to know. I am aware of one pharmacy that stores medications (insulin, other cold items) in a refrigerator that does not work. As long as the latest batch of medications to be dispensed are placed in the working fridge an hour or so before use, the company refuses to spend a few dollars to keep the medications cold as specified by the FDA and federal law. This results in loss of potency for many items, including insulins. In turn, this may lead to a doctor’s visit for poor glucose control (because of bad insulin) and further prescriptions for more expensive types of insulin or other glycemic control medications (i.e., more business & sales).

While most all large pharmacies have standardized "E-Script" software that allows doctors’ offices to send a computerized prescription directly to the pharmacy computer, Kmart software is the only of the large chains with software that is incompatible with this safety service. Worse, Kmart "encourages" their pharmacists to promote their "E-Script" services to patients and doctors offices in order to appear to be state-of-the-art. The truth is that each E-Script received by Kmart usually produces 6-7 separate prescriptions in the computer that all contain errors. Pharmacists are expected to pick and choose what they "guess" is the most likely correct info for each piece of information. E-Scripts never arrive without multiple errors---which is unacceptable under FDA regulations, state & federal laws, and it contrary to accepted standards of professional practice.

So much more..."secret source" generic drugs are shipped to pharmacies without a paper trail. Fraudulent insurance billing practices (bill for one product and dispense another), etc. and an array of other ongoing violations.. How does Kmart Corp. handle suggestions to help correct these dangerous deficiencies? They threaten and attack anyone seeking to make their customers happy and safe. This is a slap in to the face to the entire USA public by Kmart Corp. and the regulatory government agencies. The government offices will ultimately inform anyone that seeks assistance with these matters that the agency must protect the PUBLIC, not individual persons who constitute the public. The government agencies act to protect the large business with complete ambivalence to the hazards and harm caused to American citizens who trust the government to protect them.

The automatic refill is good If you wanted and enrolled.

I have issues in the pass that the medication just automatic appears in my mom's mail box from one of the pharmacy even though my doctor already changed her medication. When I called they said someone called for refill. They wanted to get money from the money from Medicare. My mom by the way, she was 80 at that time, she did not care...

K-Mart should ask there customer before they enroll them to the automatic refill system.

CVS also has this automatic refill system. I find it is so much quicker than having to call every single time I need a refill. Geez...maybe you should excuse Kmart for trying to make your life easier !

mix up on charging of prescription cards, not filling all
prescriptoin on a will call. and very rude young woman
at cash register acting like I should not bring this to her
attention. I have used this pharmaei for along long time
but no more. I had my to krogers. just though kmart
would like to know
