Kmart Stores / not being able to exchange item

I came to exchange a belt that is too short, I was told not without a recipt, I asked for them to check my rewards card and...The manager of the kmart in Roswell nm, chris was rude, and will not help. Service desk, John was awful. Customer service said it shouldn't be a problem when I called on the phone, but no... I have to eat the $20 ! Store # 7017.

    If there is ever a chance something might not be an excellent fit, it is your responsibility as the customer to keep your receipt.
