Kmart refund policy

I have never been thru such crap and bs in my life. I ordered on line a wedding band, last november2010, before the black friday sale. On Christmas day, I gave it to my partner, and really it was not well received. I wanted to return it. All over the receipt, I had 6 months to return, printed all over it . Took it to the store, and was told no, I must return it on line. Called them 4 different times, they confused it with a purchase from Sears. What a mess. Meanwhile, I lost my job, had to delcare bankruptcy. I asked them many many times, to please mail me a check. I could have used the 101.00 for food at this stage of my life. They did a credit on my old credit card, which I no longer have. The account was closed. All I ever wanted to do was speak with someone. All of their email stuff are third world people, and they are so misinformed. Not against them, just want it corrected. Just got another email asking me how satisifed I was with Kmart. Never, and I mean NEVER buy anything on line from them. They are horrible to deal with. Just horrible. Same for sears, I will never step foot in either store again. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT shop at Kmart or Sears. They are terrible about returns. Thanks for listening and reading.

You would have been a lot better off going to a pawn shop. If you needed to return the item, they would most likely not given you 100% back, but most of it. Jewelry stores and dept stores are too overpriced.

Kmart insurance policy not honored

Was told by the cashier it would cover pretty
much anything I could think of before purposely throwing it out the window. Well, I accidently left a spoon in my soup bowl
and it "blew up" the microwave, so I gave them a call to see about getting a replacement microwave. They replied saying
that the insurance policy will NOT cover the "blow up" and that I will have to purchase a new microwave myself.

If indeed the policy wasn't going to cover the microwave in this instance, then K-Mart should be correctly informing their
employees about the insurance policies so that I know exactly what I'm paying for. This leaves me to replace my
microwave and also I lose the amount paid for the insurance policy that does nothing for me. What a waste!

Location: Bought microwave at 1500 Coshocton Ave, Mount Vernon, Ohio [protected] and called the Fairborn,
Ohio location to see if the insurance policy would be honored.

Insurance doesn't cover stupidity. You think you could do whatever you want to the microwave and they would replace it for you? I suggest throwing it off a cliff into the ocean and seeing if they'll replace that.

Kmart cafeteria service

My wife and I are long term customers of Kmart and frequent users of its Cafeteria. For the past two Sundays (noon time) the cashier handles both the serving of food and the Cash Register, an unhealthy practice that is contrary to the rules of local government Department of Health. Kmart they took my money and never sent order

Placed order from Kmart.com, paid for expedited delivery, confirmation of delivery date by customer service, order confirmation and checkout process. Website also offered free standard shipping, thought I was getting free standard shipping and paying only for upgrade but got charged full shipping. Called back to add item to order that hadn't gone thru, said couldn't add to order charged me another expedited shipping charge that I paid as I needed items for gifts. Then, called to find out why items still have not shipped but showed up on credit card. One item has a tracking number showing that a label was printed but they never gave the package to UPS. The other items all stated in stock when I ordered. They never contacted me to tell me anything was not available, now are saying items will ship expedited when available. I explained the terms of the agreement I paid for were for specific delivery date and told them to cancel the order.
Now, they say they can't cancel the order, are still going to charge me for it, but they still can't tell me when order will ship and that I will need to wait for order to be shipped (if ever), refuse delivery and wait months for a refund of items I've paid for and never received.

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER order from Kmart or any of its companies that it owns such as SEARS, LANDS' END, etc.

Order from Kmart online, charged for order that never shipped. Plus two bogus $1 charges from Kmart that were not authorized. Went round and round with customer serivce and left message for their legal/PR department which was supposed to call me back within an hour and they refuse to get back with me.

Kmart no refund / return

I ordered a pair of size 11 boots for my grandson and a pack of t - shirts on january 27, 2011. The order took a week and a half to arrive and the boots were sent in a size 8. I promptly filled out the enclosed return slip and placed the items back in the original packaging as instructed on the site. Ups was unable to use the return label provided as it was incorrect type of label. I called and spoke with customer service 5 times since, and finally requested a manager at which point today i was told they would not put one on the phone. I even called ups and was told it was as easy as kmart pressing a shipping pickup button on their computer since they have an account, which they refused to do. I do not want to pay return shipping. I do not want to go to the store 20 or more minutes away with a bad back and a cane after following all required directions. I have been promised from the first phone call that the package would be picked up. They need to follow their own return policy! My order number is [protected]. I have encountered polite customer service people on the phone, however they have accomplished nothing and i will never shop at this site or store again and would advise others to beware!

Kmart fired while on medical leave form a doctor

went on second medical leave and hr fired me because my boss /store manager was not there for the weeken so i talk to the other store manager about it and he said it was fine witch he is also the boss as well so hr told me i talked to the wrong boss i always liked kmart and shopped there in intill they screwed me over and its weired casue i talk to the same store manager on my first medical leave i dident get fired a few months later i had to go on medical leave again and they fired me

Kmart rudeness

I went to a K-Mart store in my neighborhood to return some bras I purchased on 01/29 11 I needed a bigger size.I did not try them on at the store; because I purchased a size I normally get. Because they were made different which I did not accommodate for I felt it was my right to return them; only thing is I had taken the tags off and placed them in my drawer. Tuesday 02/01/11 I decided i would wear one which is when i discovered it felt too snug so I proceeded to try on the other one and found out it was to snug also. I had my reciept; told the lady who waited on me who's name was Monique I wanted to exchange them for a different size she proceeded to inquire the reason for their not being any tags and wanted to know if I had worn them and then washed them before I brung them back. I was soo insulted by this comment. Under who's authority does she think she has the right to assume I would do something like that I even went as far as to ask her; she commented thats what they do all the time i don't know yet if she assumed that because I am an African-American but i will not spend money in a place that thinks they can get away with saying and categorizing all people because of their color or her ignorance.

I has been a loyal customer and avid shopper as well as my family and friends at the Kmart Somerville Massachusetts store for as long as I can remember. There is one particular person who makes it incredibly hard for me to even walk into the store without feeling completely uncomfortable almost making me want to shop at another location. The individual I'm speaking of is a customer service representative by the name of Linda, honestly I couldn't tell you her last name I haven't gotten that close to her to even look but know for sure. i dont know who hired her or why they haven't fired her yet but and she is very unprofessional extremely unpleasant and in my opinion should not be working in front of the store at the customer service desk, let alone in the back where nobody would ever want to work with her. My only hope is that somehow someone finally sees in corporate enough to just give her what's coming to her, and deserving of the award in middle of giving her her walking papers aka pink slip . If she leaves she'll be doing the company a favor let alone the customers and the unfortunate ployees I have to deal with her sorry so far on a daily basis I can't imagine even having to live with her must be unbearable she doesn't deserve to to have a job working with the public when she is too busy talking on her cell phone taking care of personal matters on business time .Please somebody, anybody take care of this before a customer takes this into their own hands it's only a matter of time before something happens.

Most department stores will not let you return bras after purchase. They have the right to inquire whether you wore them and washed them before you brought them in, your race has no bearing in this case! Honestly, would you want to purchase a bra from a department store that someone else wore. You would have been better off donating them to a woman's shelter or to the homeless.

Kmart service

After waiting 5 min for the 1 and only cashier to finish with a customer who had many questions and problems another customer asked the employee that came near us if they could open another register and was told no maybe the jewerly dept could help - oh no she's busy. That was the end of the discussion since she then walked away. The customer asked for the manager but got no answer. Another cashier came from the return desk to use the computer there and we asked her if she could open another register and were told she was busy manning the return/complaint desk (where there were no customers). After another 5 min she had cleared the next 2 customers and it was my turn. I had toilet paper, tissues, and 2 bottles of soda. I had a super coupons for the toilet paper and soda. When I bought the Dr Pepper, it was on the display for Pepsi products with a sign that said 10 for $10, the coupon was for $.88 limit of 2. Of course, it didn't work. Only Pepsi would work according to the cashier. The coupon was in the Sunday and Thursday ads and reads " Pepsi 2-liter soda, assorted varieties, purchases greater than 2 are 10 for $10." The $.12 cents isn't the problem, it's the store. Every time I go in there I sware I won't be back. They're service sucks. But you have wasted so much time waiting in line you don't even want to think about waiting for the non-existant manager.

we at kmart broadway and dobson in mesa arizona they were rude, not friendly they tried to refuse a $20.00 bill that i got from the bank that day because they said it was to be recycled they were slow not enough check outs were open they refuse to check the prices on childrens clothes the were marked down on the clearence racks espesally when the tags where less than that they rang up! THEY WERE LOUZY PEOPLE

I am an elderly person who cannot see the items that are being scanned on register. Also the cashier does not count the money I am to recieve as my change, she just hands me the change with no smile.

Kmart stay away

I put in a Kmart layaway online in November of 2010, I paid a little down($5) and paid the remainder($40) when I picked up the layaway at the Harrison OH location shortly before Christmas. There were 2 items total, a set of sheets and a Baby Alive doll, my daughter received two of these dolls for Christmas so I decided to return the one I had purchased. I could not find the receipt, however I did have the packing slip which came with the items when I picked them up. The packing slip includes all of my information as well as the information on the two items I purchased including their item numbers and price.

Since I could not find the receipt, I assumed this would be okay to take with me back to Kmart since It had all my information on it and they should have my information in their system anyway because I've had several layaways through them before. I stopped by the Hunt Rd. location (near my work) and tried to return the Baby doll(still in box in perfect condition). The lady tells me that without the receipt they can only offer the lowest sale price which is $12, I paid $25, obviously that is not acceptable. I cannot understand why they could not use the packing slip as a receipt, I obviously paid for the items because I was able to get them out of layaway and I was given the packing slip. At the very least she should have been able to find my information in their system due to the fact that I had a layaway with them. A few days later I called the Harrison location where I picked the items up from and was told the same thing, they could give me the lowest sale price, less than half of what I paid! I asked for a manager and they took down all of my information and I'm still waiting on a call back.

Kmart horrible service

I have the misfortune of having to desal with Kmart's Pharmacy in Guam. No Walgreen's here. All the other pharmacies are local owned and do not accept BC/BS.

This has to be the largest pharmacy on Guam and has absolutely the worst customer service you can find anywhere in the world. They are always understaffed. Waits can be an hour. Calling in to the automated refill service has never worked. Call it in, go in the next day, wait in a long line to find out they have no record. Simple transfers of prescriptions from Walgreeens turn into nightmares. They run out of some drugs that can take a week or longer to get in. They never call and tell you your prescription is ready. They have a take it or leave it attitude towards customers. Or at least white customers.

I just spoke to the pharmacy lady that said she was there alone and will get to my transfer maybe tomorrow if she has time. Absolutely ridiculous.

Kmart advertising fraud

Saw the proctor silex white 0.6 cu. ft. microwave oven with digital display (ps-p60b17l-d) on kmart - on-line for $39.99. on-line said go - get it today at my local kmart. i get to the local kmart and they charged me $44.99. $ 5.00 more then advertised. kmart in my mind is a fraud, and using deceptive advertising. no where on that on-line advertisement did it tell me that i'd pay $5.00 more if i took the on-lines advise and picked the item up at my local kmart. i called customer service department placed on hold for over 15 minutes. i was told that i should have ordered the microwave and then have it sent to the store for pickup. why were those details not given on the kmart on-line. there was plenty of product in the store, kmarts on-line told me to "go to the store" i went to the store based on the price that was advertised on-line and was ripped off. the on-line customer service folks blame the store and the store customer service blame the on-line customer service, problem is its all kmart. consumer fraud at its best at kmart.

Kmart horrible service/no action taken

On 12/22/2010i went into the manhattan store to purchase my layaway no one in the department when I arrived I pushed the bottom for help the young lady came ask me what did I need, I responded to take out my layaway, she ask me for my drivers license. Then she left to get my items she came back with this oversize box handling it over to me when I said to her you are to open it and check to see if all my items are in there. She rolled her eyes then drop the box on the floor she didn't not know if there was something breakable in the box or not them she began the take the items out and wanted to stuff then all in one medium size bag could not hold everything I said you cannot put all of those things into that one bag plus as she was doing this a security bar was on an item that she was about to place in the bag, her mannerism was still horrible she ask me how many bags did I need for there was a lot of things, that's when I ask for a manager to be called the area began to be fill with other customers, the manager did come along with some other person, I told him of what took place and that could take all these items to customer service and take my money to the mall, target, walmart, etc. He smiled as he was writing down something. When I arrived home there was still another security bar left on a item so I had to drive all the way back to the store to have it remove before I left to go out of town for christmas. This so unacceptable when your in business that need customers to come in and purchase your items and you cannot hire better people that this or train them to use excellent customer service it's not that we do not have the money to spend it's giving it to a business like yours that operate on the poorest level possible. This story was talked about and made known to others.

Kmart gift receipts

I purchased 6 items on the same transaction that were going to be for christmas gifts (thermal shirts and pants, and an organizer from automotive, plus some other items that were not gifts). I was going to give a gift to 6 different people. I asked the cashier for a gift receipt for each item. I was told that she can only give me one gift receipt and it would have all the items on it. I said that I didn't want all the items on each gift receipt. She then told me that I would only get one gift receipt. I told her that at other stores they can give you separate gift receipts. She went over to ask how she could do that and was told that in order for me to get a gift receipt for the items I want, I would have to purchase each item separately. I didn't want to do that. But bought the items anyways, but left with no gift receipts. My question is, could I of received a separate gift receipt for each of the items I wanted? Or did I really have to make more than 6 separate purchases one right after the other?

you can get as many gift receipts as you want but all the items you purchased will be on the gift receipt not just one item...what difference does it make you cant see the items or the prices on a gift receipt anyways it is just a bar code hello...

the whole receipt is on each gift receipt you only need one per person or family but we can print 9 at a time

It depends on the computer system. Many registers can only print out one receipt. More advanced registers could print out separate item receipts. I once worked at a store that could only print out one gift receipt per transaction. The only way to get separate receipts would be for separate purchases. So it's very likely if your cashier said she couldn't do it, then she really couldn't.

I don't work for KMart but I have worked for other large chain companies. At those places yes, you would have to make each purchase separately in order to receive separate gift receipts.

Kmart full of it

I went to buy gas 12/01/2010 and the cashier applied the money I paid with a debit card to the wrong pump. He charged me once then I explained what happened he told me to pay again and it would credit back to my card. I paid and left. A few days went by and no credit back to the dabit card. I went back to the store on Dec 5th 2010 and the cashier Angela Y. said she couldn't give me a refund because her manager, a Muslim didn't work on Sundays for religious reasons, wasn't present. I came back on Dec 6th 2010 and met the cashier who overcharged me. The manager saw my two receits from the incident and refused my refund, even though the debit card number is plain on there with the time I purchased the gas and the actual cashier present.

Kmart absolutely terrible!

Dealing with these people has been an absolute nightmare! Firstly, my fiance and I are planning to get married on December 27th, this year and we wanted to buy our wedding bands at K-Mart, because K-Mart has the matching band to my engagement ring and they had it for a really decent price. I went on their website on the 27th to purchase my ring and his, only to find their site was down. Kind of bummed out, their live chat support said to try the next day. So, the 28th, I went back on their website to purchase the rings. The prices were different! We were frustrated, so I called their customer service department and spoke to a really nice woman and I explained to her my situation and how they should still honor the sale prices from the night prior because their site was down. She couldn't do that but offered me 10% off of the entire order, I figured, fine better that than nothing at all.

She processed my order on the phone all went well and the order went through. Until my fiance got an email confirmation for the order and noticed that his wedding band was not included in the order. She then told me that his ring was out of stock. I wanted to cancel my ring and she said she cancelled the order. I informed her I would call back on Monday the 29th. When I called back on the 29th, the rep I spoke to, said that the order had NOT been cancelled, she cannot cancel it and, AND the 10% discount was never applied! I was furious. She said I'd either get an email saying that they would ship or they cancelled the order (this didn't make any sense to me considering she had already told me that they could not cancel the order) but whatever. About an hour later, I got an email: Unfortunately, the merchandise has already shipped or released to be

shipped for your order reference number [protected], therefore we are

unable to cancel the order, as you requested.

Funny. Here we are a week later and I still haven't received my wedding band when delivery was promised by 12/2. My fiance called back twice tonight, first got a supervisor, Brian, Brian kept telling him that their computers were down and he couldn't get any information regarding my ring and what the hold up was. He honored the 10% discount and said to call back and speak to some one else within a couple hours. At this point, my fiance was reluctant, but decided to go ahead and repurchase his ring again because Brian notified him that his ring was NEVER OUT OF STOCK! Even though two reps before him told my fiance that it was. He just called back and spoke to another supervisor by the name of Pamela, she did NOT HONOR the 10% off, gave a bogus excuse that Brian didn't put it in the notes. Again, reluctantly because we have our hearts set on these particular rings, he decided to go on ahead and order his ring, AGAIN, for $20.00 more than the sale price. He was instructed to call back on Monday to get an update on where my ring is, as PAMELA'S COMPUTER SYSTEM went down again. (What is wrong with their computer systems?) Of course she managed to place his order through before this happened. (What a coincidence?) Just now checked email for confirmation and guess WHAT? This order for my fiance's ring got DECLINED AGAIN! Thank you K-Mart for screwing up my wedding. We are a struggling couple on a fixed budget that have been together for 14 years and we're having a very simple wedding at the courthouse because we cannot afford anything more extravagant. Thanks to your bogus site, well below par customer service representatives and shoddy computer systems, your company managed to completely botch our wedding to the point where we have no idea what we're going to be using for wedding bands! Beware! K-Mart as a WHOLE is just absolutely terrible and after this experience we will MOST CERTAINLY NEVER shop there EVER AGAIN! We will be encouraging everyone we know to do EXACTLY THE SAME!

Kmart bait and switch

Bought a Black Friday weekend special 4-Slice Toaster Oven and Power Pro Hand Mixer, White from kmart.com for $13.00 less than original retail price plus free shipping. Got a confirmation number on Nov 27, 2010. Then on Dec. 1 I got an email from Imran Jooma, Senior Vice President, e-Commerce saying the order was canceled and to call a number to reorder. When I called I said I didn't want the order canceled and I would wait for the items. They said it could not be reinstated at the sale price and that I could reorder at the higher price. This is bait and switch. They said it was not in stock but that I could reorder? If it is not in stock how can I reorder these items. What a crock. I called their customer complaint line and it was the same lies. Sears did not want to loose anymore money and they canceled it to cut their losses.

Apparently you are wrong. I got a call from Sears home office after emailing them and the CEO about this. They said that they were in the wrong and are going to rectify the matter for me. The representative said that they would also look into why this had happened.

Kmart faculty rudeness

I went to Kmart on November 24, 2010 where i attempted to buy an electronics item on sale. I was given the items that i needed and proceeded with the checkout. Upon checkout I was rudely approached by the cashier "jaci". She stated I was only allowed one item because there was only five in the store. I proceded to explain that that was not written in the ad. She then stated only one and thats it. I left the store dissatisfied only to return the next day and see her at cashier again. When I tried to approach her to ask a question she did not look my way. I waited ten minutes next to her until finalyy another employee saw that I was being ignored and helped me instead. I think it is an outrage that Kmart hires rude people like this.

Kmart shop rewards program

Don't bother emailing or writing them, they don't respond to complaints, the rewards program is a way for k-mart to get consumers to spend money they don't have, to try and gain sells, promising points toward your next purchase.Than you have to fight to get the correct points your due.Also don't bother calling customer service, all you will receive is a song a dance around your inquiry, as if customers are stupid...Terrible customer service in hard times, not very smart.

Kmart website rip off

Yesterday I visited the Kmart website to purchase Christmas presents using their online layaway. I made my selections and checked the box indicating the purchase was "layaway". I proceeded to provide my personal billing information, etc. and when I submitted the order realized it had not been processed as a layaway, but as an outright purchase. I IMMEDIATELY called customer service, explained what happened and the CS representative purported cancelled the order. He even told me after I explained the bug on the website that I had reached the "right person" to cancel the order. He went on to say I would have an email within 24 hours verifying the cancellation.

Today I went on the my bank website to verify a deposit and to my shock and horror found that Kmart/Sears had debited my account for the order. Not only that, they had actually debited my account TWICE for two of the items.

Again I immediately called customer service. I finally spoke with a "manager" and the long and short of it was that although she admitted the original customer service representative had given me erroreous information and admitted there was some type of error made resulting in the double charge there was nothing she could do to immeditately correct the errors made by the company.

According to her, Sears (parent company of Kmart) can immediately hold funds in my account (hence the charges today) but first, the 'cancelled' order was never, and could never be, cancelled. Two of the items had already been shipped, one item was out of stock and the final item was "in process" and that couldn't be stopped. She went on to say the double charge would "drop off" in 7-10 business days.

So Sears can immediatey (electronically) notify my bank that they want funds held - twice - but it appears they can not immediately (electronically) notify my bank that those funds don't need to be held! The errors made by a bug on the website, erroreous information from a CSR and an error by the 'system' which double charges are now apparently going to cost me to be out my money (while Sears uses it) 7-10 business days. I want Sears to immediately make amends and put the money they have taken back into my account. I did not cause this, you did.

I haven't dealt with Sears in years because of poor customer service and have never dealt with Kmart and can promise you I will never, ever purchase anything from them again. I know my measly few dollars means very little to their bottom line. I just wanted to warn anyone else that their "pride in customer service" means too bad, too sad when they make an error!
