Kissling Interests, LLC / submission of rent by mail equals frequent late fees
I am writing to complain formally about the rent mail-in system. Kissling not only did not have easy and convenient access to their office downtown, due to location, which was bad enough, but they then ended being able to drop-off your rent and mandated renters mail in their checks.
They have very unfair mail collection habits and an extremely unfair and, in my opinion, unlawfully strict "late policy" that has resulted in several $35 late fees with near absolute non-forgiveness allowed. Furthermore, they mandated renters mail their checks to Albany of all places! Together with the unfair policies already listed, this increased dramatically the frequency of late fees.
Kissling has been saying for a couple years they are working on a system to pay on line. All of this combined, I can't help but wonder if they are purposefully NOT allowing online rent pay so they can continue to make a lot of extra money each month with their unfair and overly strict policies.
