First, I would just like to say that I feel bad for anyone who has wasted there time and really thought that they were going to get a good paying job because of some kind of false advertisement. These false advertisements can really put people's hopes up and make people believe that they can actually get an easy way out and make some actual decent money. The truth is you really can't get a good job at any place without any type of education, work experience or reference. Especially if you have any type of criminal background attach to you. Another thing is, if a company is being secretive about their business and does not discuss to you about your salary or position that you are applying for before you even start your job, then something is just seriously wrong. It just common sense when you can tell a professional business to an unprofessional business. When they are using profanity more then 5 times and seriously ignoring you when you are asking them some serious questions, that is just a sign that they are just looking for innocent people to use and manipulate to make them selves some money.

Second, I can understand why some people who worked at Kirby or is still currently working there may get mad at some people or their ex employees for complaining. It is their job and who likes people putting down their job. But the honest truth is they know the Kirby business has been doing their employees and customers wrong from day one after their training. If they are stupid enough to not realize that then they can just tell them selves that they are a selfish person and don't really care about anyone else's feelings but their own. Be honest with yourself and put yourself in your ex employees and customers shoe. Would you want to be lied too when you work your butt off and never get paid for all the hard work you've done for the past week? Would you want some creepy person that you don't even know come knocking at your door at 9:00pm pressuring you to by a $2000 vacuum? I mean come on. Be real! Most people that were in this Kirby business did not even get a back ground check or even a simple drug test. How could the Kirby business even think about hiring people without checking their back ground knowing that they are going to be going into peoples home? THAT MY FRIENDS IS BAD BUSINESS!

You may get mad at me for telling the truth or even agree with me. But the matter of the fact is open your eyes and really understand and know what you are getting yourself into. Take some time to look up what company you are applying for and make sure that they are professional. To customers and employees, I do feel bad for all that you had to put up with from this business. You should always know never to open your doors just to anyone even if they say it's to help them win a trip that you're not even invited to. To all the employees working with the Kirby industry, I don't mean to burst your bubbles and tell the truth to the world but it's just something that seriously needs to be put out there. If you guys were so great, then why is it that your company has some of the worst complaints talked about everywhere? There's something for you to think about. Oh and for the record, the only reason why I am writing this is because my mom and dad did get pressure into buying a Kirby and I am an ex employee for this company. That gives me every right to state what I have to say about this situation.

I completely agree with these articles i was a former employee i worked at the kirby office in Aurora Colorado i worked there for about 3 months. My boss had told us we were going to be getting paid $2, 500 a month so for a full month i went and rang houses did my 50 demos and got some sales to and when it was time to get paid there i was expecting a $2, 500 check but all i got was 330 and all he had paid me was the $300 he still owed me $30! about five days later after they left and came back to town i wen't to get the rest of my money i drover over to his office and saw a few more of the other employees standing outside i asked where he was and they replied they didnt know that his phone was turned off and noone had heared from him. So i called and sure enough it was disconnected. i was like what the frick? so i preceded to call the Denver office and they to hadnt heard from him. As i was talking to the other employees they asked how much i was there to get i stated my $30 dollars they then procedded to tell me that he owed me alot more than that. it turns out that he owed me a whopping $1, 530. Well im figuratively out for this guys head now. His name is KERRY ALAN HETTICK and the big boss man of Denver's name is MIKE LICATA. Buyers and job searchers beware DO NOT BUY FROM KIRBY! Definate SCAM!

KIRBY vaccuum showed up not to long ago, up a quareter mile driveway, through a closed gate and then proceeded to spray my dogs which were in a fenced area, and thought I would be happy to see them! Now today entered through 2 closed gates, , , I have no carpet in my home! I did not call them! Did not register no sweepstakes at the fair or online. I have a rainbow! What the hell gives them the right to enter closed gates and spray my animals when uninvited!

I AGREE WITH ALL THAT IS SAID ABOUT KIRBY AND THE PEOPLE THAT THINK THEY HAVE A JOB. I WAS ENPLOYEED WITH THE DAVIS COMPANY IN EVERETT, WA. I WENT ON A CANVOSING WITH HIM IN TULALUP AND HAD 5 HOUSES. HE LET ME GO WENT BACK TO TULALUP AND COLLECTED ALL THE 5 HOUSES CASH AND I STILL HAVE NOTHING YET. EVEN HOUSES I GOT HE WENT BACK TO REVERSE THE SALES FOR HIMESELF THAT I HAD.

Kirby tells you you get a gauranteed base salary and that your job is to demo, not to sell, they are gonna pay you good money to just "do your appointmentS" whether they purchase or not. They tell you they will make the appointments and then take you to them, then when your first day starts after your training, they take you to a neighborhood and drop you off and tell you to go door to door! They do an amazing job lying throughout three days of training, and most people are so desperate for a job by the time they find out the truth they just go for it anyway. I suggest they get an education and a real job where they help society, the Kirby product is a great product, the Kirby company is CRAP scam artist. They have the employees tell the customer all about the great trip they can win, which is real, but the customer can't go, so why should it be waived in their face, there are very few companies who do what's right for their employees and their clients/ customers, and Kirby is NOT one!

First of all you should stop using the word "employee" and educate yourself about the Kirby business. Second, every business in America has complaints, not just Kirby, try looking up McDonalds, or BestBuy or DirectTV. And third, you dont have an idea about what you are talking about. Do you know how Kirby rates in Consumer Reports? Do you know Kirby is a Fortune 500 company? Did you know they have never had a strike or a lay off since they opened the doors in 1914? I could go on, but I think I have proven my point. Good luck finding a job bud, you're going to need it!

My partner started working for Kirby in Manchester last week, from day one i told him it was a scam! as if someone is going to give u a wage like that for not selling! who is going to want a hoover for £2000 when u can buy a Dyson at Tesco for £200? I am so angry i am going to smash their hoover to peices, either that or take it up there and ram it up the boss' [censor]. Thanks to everyone that confermed my suspision, you have saved us so much heart-ache!

Just went to the so called great job at kirby they want me to go to 50 houses in 30days and if i dont do that i dont get paid. The person i saw in the interview was just trying to get me to bust my ### so they sit back and make all the money. Kirby just uses there employees to get paid they make u work hard for little. I asked in my interview if this was a hourly base pay job and he said yes. Just to get me to there bunk ### oriention that i was at for 4 and half hours and i didnt get a dime. I will never say one good thing about there company. Anyone who thinks that its ok to treat your employees like crap will never get a good word from me. WHAT A WASTE OF MY DAY ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

One thing i want to know is how long did you work for the company? were you another 1 day employee? and the kirby is the number one vacuum in the world. the reason why kirby has complaints is from lazy people who in all reality would have made money if they first of all WORKED, and second payed attention to the contracts stated how they will be paid. It's not Kirbys fault for lazy people, in my opinion it's the parents fault for raising that. and second i don't know about the office that you worked for but every office pulls background checks. i see a lot of opinions and no facts, so before you start posting opinions like that maybe you should have actually facts and evidence against who or what you're writing about. i could easily post a lot of opinions about someone right after meeting them, those are called rumors, and you're probably just another freshly graduated person who has never had to work a day in there lives, and shuttered at the sound of it. and these trips are real, why crush someone elses dream when you obviously don't have one? wake up and smell the coffee, you failed and want someone to blame. admit it, grow up and move on.
