I just experienced the 'yo yo' scam myself there! I wrote Chris Bostick complaining twice, but after reading these complaints, I doubt I will hear back from him. But, I plan on making some noise, so others won't fall into this trap! Thankfully, I love my Kia, but I hope I don't have any issues with it, if they won't fix it! A bunch of Shisters! Pardon my french!

Carnival Kia of Rivergate screwed me out of a house and a car. My husband and I stopped in at the rivergate lot to look at some cars. My husband explained to the salesman that we did not have money to put down for a down payment, all we had was our trade in. We went in to talk to the finance manager and my husband told him the same thing and explained to him that we are trying to buy a house so don't run our credit unless they were positive that they could put us in a new vehicle. The finance amnager told us that he would give us $1200 for our car as a trade in and that he could definatly get us into a car so we let him run out credit and everything was great except for the fact that they did not have any used minivans on thier lot but we were told they would have some the next day. The next morning the salesman called my husband and told him the vans would be in by 1pm and everything was set. Then at 3 the salesman calls back and says that no vans came in on the truck but he could get a van off of the other lot and would call back. At 4 he called and told my husband that everything was ready and all he needed was $2500 down. WHAT! We explained to them from the begining that we did not have any money to put down. My husband then spoke with the finance manager and he told my husband that he would take payments for the down payment but it would have to be paid off in a month. He knew there was no way we could do that. So, now thanks to Kia Of Rivergate and the pack of liars that work there we have no car and have to wait 3 months before we can purchase a home!

I agree 100%...I felt like they were giving me good deal and when I got home and saw they added 1 yr to my payments, I did not get 40% off as commercial said...I paid $4000 more than what the car was listed for online. I don't know how I let them take me but really want future buyers to know the truth and I am speaking the truth...The car itself is good but I'm stuck with this car knowing I paid so much more than what its worth. Please don't trust them and put everything in writing before you sign anything. I even called them 1 hr after I got home and they laughed in my face and said it was a done deal. I had 6 friends that wanted to do business with them before this and KIA salesman said "they did not care" what the 6 future customers felt and laughed again in my face. I know I was a fool...but they did not have to rub it in so much. Its not like they sell alot of cars. Needless to say, my friends purchased Chevy & Nissan's instead of KIA so they are happy with their deal. please be careful!

100% agree. I was brainwashed by them and still can't believe they got away with this deal...I kept saying No...No..NO...and they came down on my car note but made me pay out more on downpayment and I am still stuck with 72 months instead of the 60 or less I thought they gave me and no 40% OFF! the commerical said 40% off during this time...I have no doubt I was ripped off. Please do not buy from them unless they put in writing before you sign exactly what you think you are getting. I would also have them put in writing if you see anything not right on the paperwork after you sign, you can return the car with full refund within like 72 hrs. I tried within a few hrs after I got home and saw what they did and they laughed and said done deal at me...I even had 6 friends that were going to talk to them about a car and KIA SALESMAN said "we don't care if we lose them"...They are JERKS!

Last March, less than a year ago, we bought a 2004 Kia Sodona, with the extended warranty. We had to take it back for oil in less than 2 months. They topped off the oil and said it was normal for it to burn oil. It kept using oil so we just kept adding oil. After another few months we took it in for an oil change and complained again about the oil usage, they changed the oil and said nothing was wrong with the van. After another couple months we took the van in again. We got the oil changed and again told them the van was using oil. They agreed to do a consumption test. By the time the van got back to them (in less than 1500 miles) there was no oil left on the dipstick. The dealership called after they had the van for three days (while we exist on one vehicle) and said they found the leak (which they spent a year and four visits saying was not leaking). Now they want $750 to clean out "sludging" inside the motor. We have tried to explain to them that it has not held enough oil (due to us constantly adding oil) to sludge on us and this was obviously a problem the car had when they sold it to us. I have been trying to reach Mr. Bostic at the dealership all day to try to work this out but he has failed to return any calls. I left messages at two dealerships and his cell phone. The service manager will only tell us the warranty does not cover slugging and we will have to pay. They said they did an inspection before we got the car, but they didn’t find the leak or the sludging. It took them four visits to find the leak that we told them about within two months of buying the vehicle. The dealership was quick to point out that ALL used vehicles bought in Tennessee are AS IS purchases. How nice they have an easy way out.

I was very happy with Hickory Hollow Kia. I bought a Kia Sorento. Turned out my payments were less than quoted. Thank You, Pam Owens
