We don't know much about how KFC handles customer complaints outside ComplaintsBoard, but what we see here, on our website, is quite disappointing. We think there might be reasons for the company's actions (like not knowing about the complaints), and we would be happy to see them among customer-focused businesses that easily solve customer problems. KFC bad service

I eat in restaurants very very often. The last 9 orders at Parys KFC has something wrong ranging from incomplete orders to products beyond the sell by date - like in long beyond.
Today I was told that I will have to wait outside for 15 min for my order. After 23 minutes and only 3 customers I went inside and they did not even start with my order. I had no other option than to request my money back as I did not had another 15 minutes to wait in the sun.
I am sure KFC can not afford to have franchises doing this to their name.
Well some other franchises in Parys is just as bad - perhaps the problem is Parys

KFC rude employees, not willing to help with allergy concern

My mom and I were in Charleston, South Carolina for our annual trip. We were staying at the Best Western near downtown, which is within walking distance to KFC. We decided to grab something quick to eat, so we went there. Having a severe allergy to peanuts, we asked the girl up front what kind of oil they cook with. After she finished vigrously scratching her head and adjusting herself on the stool she was sitting on, she looked at us, shrugged her shoulders and said "I don't know". As she continued to dig at her head, I was starting to make my way towards the door when my mom asked her again and made it clear that we were asking because I had an allergy. The girl huffed and puffed and yelled (literally yelled) for the manager. He walked up front, rolled his eyes and demanded, "what?!" The girl asked what kind of oil do we use, and he said very abruptly, "peanut", rolled his eyes again, and flung himself around in the direction he came from. The girl behind the counter said to my mom, "well, is that what you wanted to know?!" My mom simply said "no thanks". We left.

KFC filthy restaurant

Driving in from AZ to CA - this is the only KFC at a main exit in Blythe, CA. We'd forgotten that a couple of years prior we had stopped here and that it was terribly dirty. It still is: floors were filthy, tables/counters unwiped and bathrooms unusable - horrendous. One can imagine what the cooking area looks like :( Eat elsewhere!

You don't seriously think any of that is left in such conditions when closed overnight, do you? No, they clean it every night so that every day, more fat [censor] customers can come in and [censor] all over the place and leave it looking like a pig sty. I can see why the employees have stopped bothering about it at this particular branch, especially as it doesn't stop people like you eating there.

KFC why I will never go to kfc again!!!

I Came in kfc one day and ordered a Fully Loaded Box meal. The first mistake the cashier made was when she forgot to give me my drink. Then when i got my drink I waited 30 minutes for my food.As I stood at the counter waiting on my food, I asked the cashier when was my order gonna be ready and, she said Well, They aint got no Chicken Ready maam, Do you wanna wait or do you want a refund?So I asked to speak to a Manager, because the cashier had a really nasty attitude with me, from the time i walked in the door until i left. I don't know if it was a guy or woman all I remember is a Yellow, Orange Multicolor bracelet, on it's wrist, and a cellphone holder on the hip. As it walked away I heard mumbling under it's breath, and things like Oooh, these Muther###er's be getting on my nerves! When a White lady in her 30's came to the front and said she was the General Manager I started explaining to her what was going on, Because, I know this is not the way A buisness should be conducted .I told her that I overheard her employee's cursing at each other, and I was the 3rd person to order, that they were clowning and acting so Immature and I had my sister with me and she was waiting on her food as well. The white lady that was making her food did'nt even have gloves on! She was coughing like she had the West Nile Virus ! Yikes...and If she was sick we don't know? I have never been that afraid to eat fast food until I saw how Unsanitary this place was.When she was making my food someone called her cell-phone, and she answered it, continuously touching my food with that same hand, I truely feel like I wasted my time and energy to be so very unsatisfied with the whole situation, it was chaos when they were cursing at the Manager and she cursed back .That's not right.I don't know what kind of buisness this is where people don't respect the customers, and they make the orders when they feel like it.I should have went in drive-thru. Anna Ramirez.. No need to contact me i will never eat there again it's just not my cup of tee.But I thought i would share with other fast food lover's as myself.

KFC dirty greasy uniform tops

everyone who come to work each day, comes with a dirty greasy top on, as this is supposed to be part of their uniform. The place is also, dirty, blinds are broke, closed all the time, dirty, greasy and its just a scummy place.The government needs to come in and close them down. Or give them a surprise check. Everyone hired there is DIRTY and GREASY.Hair and uniforms.Wearing dirty caps on their messed up hair.They shouldn't even wear those caps! This restaurant should be closed.Its been like this a long time and no one cares.It is filthy.They should all come to work with clean uniforms, each and every day. Why can't anyone do anything about this? I know many friends who say the same thing, that they aren' going there because its so dirty and unclean and scummy people with scummy uniforms.

KFC unfair treatment/illegal

I work at the KFC in Mount Vernon, Ohio. Our boss Shirley Robinson, clocks us out earlier than she should. She clocks us out, while we are still working! She, along with other managers make us stay, after we are clocked out, at KFC. We are not allowed to leave, until everybody else is clocked out. Which many times has taken over 20 minutes. By law, we are supposed to be payed. This is illegal and action should be taken.

KFC poor service, poor food

Good day,

I would like to inform you that:

1. Heidelberg kfc's service is poor, but not as poor as

2. The food - if you buy the burgers it is so dry you can't swallow it.

3. The chicken is so oily, you can't get it into your body

4. And worst of all, yesterday we bought chicken, the pieces were not so oily but a green piece ball of hard fat or whatever was stuck under the chicken crumbs - I don't know what it was, but it look awful and we could not eat further - the pieces were not cleaned before cooked.

Why does this not happen to us at other kfc's, why is the service there so great and the food excellent.

Is it the quality of the workers?

KFC bad food/bad service

I went in to huyton branch for round 6pm on tuesday last week for a family bucket for us. Bought 8pcs chicken deal family meal, got home looking forward to eating it and me an family, but the whole 8 pcs chickens ended up going in bin as all chickens had a funny smell as if it was off and very oily like if it was re-cooked and the fries look like been re cooked very bad condition and oilychips bags were oily and ripped in bits inside bucket.

The only thing was ok was the coleslow which was prepacked, all three of us in the family thought the chickens were off so we ended up going to macdonalds for fresh food,
I must mention that this is the first time im complainning from many bad things that I have experinced from this paticullar branch, this is my local kfc as I live near them and I do my best not to go there usually I go to other branches.

Also other problems in this branch is the place is always dirty, floor, tables are never cleaned, bins always have rubbish hanging out of them, the staff are very unhelpfull always having bits missing from ur order and forgetting to give u things like forks for coleslaw tissues, missing out the gravy, salt etc etc when u sitting in or take out and so forth.
U never see a manager in front incase u have a complaint only some young girls which when ur food is late or missing no apology or anything, eg they have missed out ur popcorn or miss pcs chicken and u have to come bak from car and wait in quee again to get them and with a bad attitude they just put it in the bag and handed to u as though the customer is in fault, no sorry or anything from staff, I get better service in the local chip shop if mistakes happen. There is always a issue with this branch I think the management needs retrainning properly like ur other branches.

I tottally agree the kfc in huyton is always dirty with over flowing bins and bad attitudes off the staff i also live nearby and avoid the place because of the hygeine problem they have .

KFC foods

whom it my concern.

My husband and I went to KFC on Jan 22 nd @ 7:38pm. We ordered a two piece meal with to sides (two meals). To my dismay it was very old rubbery chicken. So bad that I threw my piece out. The side you could tell where sitting there all day. Even the biscuit was as hard as a rock. I do like to go to KFC again but I just don't think I want to experience that again. All and all both me and my husband are extremely disappointed.

If you get poor service or food at any restaurant, call the health department and complain. All restaurants HAVE TOO abide by certain food serving laws. Then contact the head management and pitch a royal ###! Then call the stores manager and complain.
You'll find that not only will they get inspected and written up by the Health Department but there is always a chance of getting closed down if there are too many problems at a particular store.
I had poor service at a KFC/Longjohnsilvers a couple of months ago locally, and I lost it on them. I called the Health Department and complained and told them of all the violations that I saw then I called the Store Manager and ripped a strip. They completely replaced our entire order and the next time we visited the place was polished. It was evident that they had made many changes to not only thier service but to the care of the store and customers.
If you don't complain changes don't occur, now I used to be an assistance manager of a KFC so I know the food service health codes and laws and I know that, knowing them stood in my favor but anyone with half a brain can go on line and check the local laws and compare them to thier problem.

KFC cold food, inedible chicken, poor service

My husband went in to KFC tonight & ordered me a 2 piece chicken dinner with what was supposed to be a breast & a leg. I opened the dinner & took a bite of cold mashed potatoes & gravy & told him they were disgusting, so he went back in & told them that the potatoes were cold & asked them if he could have an order of warm mashed potatoes & they told him that they were warm & they didnt have any more & it was close to closing time anyway & gave him an order of coleslaw which I didnt want an extra order of coleslaw or I would have ordered an extra one in the first place. While he was in there trying to get me some edible mashed potatoes, I seen they gave me a wing that didnt have any meat on it in place of the leg that he ordered. Then I couldnt even get the fork into the breast, it was so tough. The chicken tasted plum nasty also. I would suggest that they start closing earlier & go home, since they arent doing their job anyway.As far as I am concerned, not only did we get ripped off more or less paying $8.00 to $9.00 for an order of coleslaw & a biscuit ( the only 2 measly things edible out of the whole dinner), but whoever is paying the employees their wages there got ripped off too, because where I come from, if you are on the clock & you arent doing your job, you are stealing from the company & losing customers for your employer also, which neither my husband, my son, or I will ever go back. By the way, this event took place on Jan.23, 2010 in case the ONE who signs these particular employees' checks would be interested in knowing which ones of their employees are lacking customer service skills for a starter.

I usually make fun of these complaints. I have been in management for more than 20 years. Mostly food service. The unfortunate reality is that the fast food industry is the toughest industry to find good help. The pay is poor, the hours are poor, and the truth is, you are relying on 16 year olds to cook your food properly and serve it with a smile. These same 16 year olds grow up a few years later and join the ranks of the management team. They do not change their views on you the customer. They just have better pay. It is unfortunate that this is the case, but it will never change. I find the restuarant that gives the best food and service in my area, and never change. I would suggest calling the store and requesting the corporate number or district managers number. If they will not give it to you, call another KFC in your area and chances are they are owned by the same people/company. In a NICE way, explain to them that you want to make a formal complaint on ANOTHER store. Tell them that their place is great, and the other store should follow their example. The management team at the "good" restuarant will be glad to help, because when you finally get the district manager's number, you will tell the district manager that you had to get the number from the "good" restuarant. Good luck to you. They will most likely appoligize and possibly give you coupons for your trouble. Give them a chance to make it up to you. They do not want to loose a customer.

KFC terrible food

I haven't eaten at kfc in a while, while on a business trip I stopped at the kfc in Gonzales, La. This was about the worst fried chicken I ever ate. I also ordered a Coca Cola and they didn't sell coke. I then cancelled the order for a drink and the server told me it comes with the meal. Therefore i was forced to have a pepis.Other than having soggy cooked chicken an d ridiculas pricing for a three piece meal, which I started eating and then discarded, I decided not to eat there anymore. I am a fried chicken lover and never thought there ever was bad fried chicken.

UH...KFC is owned by PepsiCo. Of course they are not going to have Coca Cola! And KFC chicken is vile anyways. You couldn't pay me to eat chicken at that place! Now the sides are awesome!

KFC poor service / ignorant manager

Tonight stopped in to KFC for a quick meal @6:25 P.M. CST. Tried ordering honey barbecue wings, said they were out, so ordered the new grillers which the manager John said he could toss in the sauce, we agreed and completed our order. Low and behold, get home, and yet once again the order is not right. The chicken was tossed in hot sauce, I was absolutely unable to eat it. I called the store and asked to speak to the manager, John (who answered) said he was the manager, I explained the problem, and he proceeded to argue with me telling me I wasnt the one who even ordered the food. I said I was sitting in the car right next to my husband, he claimed my husband asked for Hot wings, which he didn't. I askede for a name or number for someone that was above him so I could complain, and he told me that there was no one above him. I asked for corporates number and he said they don't give it out. I asked for his last name so I could file a proper complaint with corporate and he said "No way" and hung up on me. I will scream from the roof tops if I have to... KFC in Minooka Illinois practices very poor business ethics, & have no idea how to treat customers that provide those weekly paychecks for them. I will not EVER go back to this place, and I personally can't wait till the day they board it up!

See how stupid it sounds when someone that you do not know is angry about something you can not change ...and they want your full name.

KFC delivery service

I am from peshawar and peshawar is a land of hospitality, on 11 jan 2010 at 11.24pm I called at peshawar office [protected] and booked the order for Admore pump old haji camp G.T road Peshawar of (2 Mighty Zinger, one Hot Shot and another discount package), your order reciever told me that it will reach in half hour and your bill amount is 985 Rs, After 35 mints i called again and they said that there is no order on your name, Dear sir we are pathans and we valued our guest and at that time guests were with me and i realy ashamed in front of them, and i booked the order for them and when i told your order reciever, he behaved so rudely.

KFC hairs in food

I waited in the que for about 5 minutes. When ordering I was told that I had to wait 15 minutes because the chicken wasn't ready; I excepted this and waited patiently. When I got my food I was about to start eating when I found I hair on my chicken, the hair was a different colour and length to one of my own. As I investigated I found 6 more hairs. I took the two pieces of chicken that contained hairs up to the till and I issued a calm but stern complaint. I was arragantly and rudley spoken too and all the manager could do was refund the chicken that had hairs on them and gave me regular sized fries even though I had paid for a large. The manager said that he couldn't refund the whole meal. I was outraged and I wish to take the complaint further.

KFC bad service

i went down to have my meal at kfc teluk intan today and very very dissappointed with the service given by staff and managers. I was there at 11.45 am to have zinger meal set and to my suprise, only 1 counter were opened! There are 6 counters available but only 1 counter in used! What the hell is hapening. I saw 2 useless managers, one of them wearing name tag with ZANA, i guess cause they are wearing neck tie with different colour uniform. What i observed that the managers not botherd, not cheerful, not friendly at all. Come on, is this the kfc standard employ such kind of people to manage the international restaurant. I saw a chinese girl managing the counter by herself with full of tension since there was a long que. If i not mistaken the cashier name was PIN.Why not the manager open the counter to clear the customers? I have waited for 15 min in the que and just cant tolerate anymore, i left the restaurant with full of frustation and angry. I'm just puzzle and want to know any higher management, country manager are looking on this service issue or they dont care what is happenig. Please wake up and do something to improve. Do not let your service run in the drain. I prefer to go to Mc D now.

KFC waiting for kfc delivery

There seems to be a issue with kfc delivery and customer service they charge me 10.00 for delivery within the barrie area. This is the last time I will be ordering delivery from kfc. I hate kfc they can go to hell

Dealing With Poor Customer Service

All companies are only concerned with their bottom line. All companies have very poor customer service representatives. My advice:
1. First try to settle the matter with the company’s CSR. It will not do any good but you have tried.
2. Be polite but firm.
3. Ask for the name, number and state the CSR you are talking to is from. If you are transferred to a foreign country ask to speak to a CSR in North America.
4. Keep written copies of all your correspondence. Insist that all replies from the company be in writing. Good luck on that one, companies don’t like to leave a paper trail.
5. If you don’t like writing, record the calls, advise the CSR that you are recording the call.
6. If you have an attorney and three-party calling, arrange to have your attorney on the line before you call the company. My attorney advised me that you are not required to inform the CSR or company that another person is monitoring the call .Keep copies of all of the bills you receive. The eventual lawyers, FCC, BBB and state attorney general will want copies of all of your paper work.
7. File a complaint with the FCC about your cell phone carrier, it won't do any good, but it's on record.
8. If it is not a cell phone carrier, file the complaint with the FTC, or whichever of thousands of government agencies that handle your issue.
9. Please realize that all government agencies are overworked and have been paid off by lobbyist.
10. Join any class action lawsuit against the company.
11. File a complaint with your local Better Business Bureau.
12. Contact your state attorney general.
13. During this prolonged economic rough patch all companies are out to make money anyway they can.
14. Join any class action lawsuit against the cell phone carrier. The lawyers will take the bulk of the settlement after years of ligation. When the company finally settles they will pass the cost of the settlement onto their customers, write if off on their taxes or both if they can get away with it.
15. Do this with any company or service you are having problems unresolved problems with that company or service.
16. I realize this is a lot of work, but it’s the only way to get things to change. Don’t expect overnight results, they won’t happen.
I give you this advice at no charge.

KFC insect in food

To whomsoever it may concern,
This is to inform you that I, Ameen Syed Mohammad and David D'Souza were at KFC, Quay Street Auckland on the 19th of December 2009 around 3:00 pm. We had
ordered 8 chicken pieces along with 2 fries which was $22.50.
When opening the containing packet, To our surprise there was an insect that was in the food! To our bad luck it flew away. Thankfully there was
another one that was lying dead in the food. We consulted the manager Sabah Moughal regarding this. She offered us a refund or an exchange for the food which
I personally believe is unacceptable.
Consuming this food would probably incur in our demise. We were fortunate enough to notice this or else you would probably read about us in the
obituary column in the newspaper with no one else to blame but you wonderful brand. I would also like to point out that she treated the situation like it
was an everyday event with no remorse.
I am OR rather USED TO BE a great follower of KFC and me and my mates were regular diners at your outlets. After this event I don't think that we
would ever dine at your outlets and the very thought of eating at KFC now makes me want to purge. I have the receipt of our order as well. We don't know if
you have security cameras at the branch but if you do you will clearly see us coming back with the order and returning it. Unfortunately we did not want to
create a scene at the moment so we took the replacement and left which I wouldn't eat even if it was blessed at my holy place.
To top it when we opened the new packet to look at the food I felt like I was in one of the gulf countries with more oil than the food. I seriously
believe that strict action needs to be taken against this and a reasonable compensation needs to be arranged or else we would take serious action. If any of us had to consume this food and died who would be blamed?

KFC bad service

Today I was faced with a choice, to either sit in at my office and order a delivery from a free delivery service. But I finally decided that I have been in the mood for KFC for a while now, so I got into my car to specially drive after my craving. When I got to KFC in Orange Grove, I placed my order with a lady called Bongake. She took my order, as it was just one meal order, she asked me whether I would like something extra. Appreciating her upselling skills, and trying to be polite, I decide to order some veggie bites aswell. She gave me the amount owing, I then counted my cash and was R 5.00 short of the amount owing, show I wipped out my Cheque card. Just to get a filthy dirty look, because it would mean more work for her to process, I guess. Once my card payment was approved she turned around to pack my order. I called her twice to tell her I would like to sit and eat, not take away. Her colleagues working on the other till heard me say that I will be sitting down, shook her head, after asking her to please ask Bongeka to please bring my order for me upstairs. Sitting down, now satisfied with my decision, I go on doing the bit of work I brought out of the office. Twenty minutes later, after still waiting for my order, I realised there must be something out of place. Just to walk down stairs to the counter, and there is my order. With Bongake standing behind the counter with a comment "Oh, there you are, I was looking for you". As a huge fan of KFC, this is now the last straw. After several times, recently, being treated with a no care attitude, I've decided that KFC does not need my business, from now on, I would much rather go to a take away restaurant that care. KFC DONT CARE!

while i work for kfc/ i wrote a complain concerning management retalliateing against me for calling the 1800 number for unsatisfied service i recieve as a customer .and i have not seen it posted

- as my comment to Hanzel, if you stayed 3 years in that company..its not pretty joke.its an a big accomplishment!
but if you do had that bad image with co employees, i'd rather say, dapat 1st contract palang you';re already done .
if you say so, 3 years k na sa company, maybe its your superiosr fault, why they didnt notice in earlier if you are really acting this x-type attitude.? dont they have a job evaluation, ? feedback? and updates to their subordinates..?

Sa pagkabalo namo nag end of contract mi tanan crew atong December 31, 2009. Ang among na signan na contrata sa agency hantod december 31, 2009 lang man to maong na eoc mi. so wala nami trabaho tanan dapat ato kaya lang ingon tong mga manager na nag request and amoang agency na e evaluate tanan crew nla na under sa topspot e evaluate daw and performance, kung kinsa tong guapo and performance e renew daw ang contrata pero katong bagsak ug pangit ang performance dili na daw ipadayun ang contrata ingon sa agency.

Pasalamt lang gani ko kay at least nag ga perform ko atong previous year maung nakapasa ko sa performance evalaution unya na renew ko. Pero sa case ni hanzel para sa akoa lang dili jud cya kapasa sa performance evaluation kay dili ini ana ka guapo the way cya manarbaho.

Isog na astig sa trabaho, MANGASABA PA JUD SA AMOA parihas raman unta mi crew. Sa kadugay nya sa trabaho bobo japun sa standard g pa exam gani na cya sa manager didto sa Davao para sa all star exam kay dugay na cya dapat maging all star na, pero bagsak ang score ulaw kaayo kay pirti pa jud ka gamay ingon nla 40% lang day tama bana? pinakagamay daw sa tanan nag exam ingon tong mga kauban nako na crew. 3 years na sa company unya inaana lang ang knowledge sa trabaho.

Para sa akoa wala may problema ang management kay na appreciate gani nako ilang effort na mutabang sa mga crew na nag gragraduate ilang gina promote sa management position. daghan na pud na cla na promote na crew pag ka manager. C Hanzel gani nadunggan nako na g offeran na cya sa management na e promote sa manager pagkahuman ug school nya, daghan pud jud nag react ato kay dili cla ka too ang uban supak kay dili cya inaana ka guapo manarbahio maglisod man gani sa crew palang samaot na kung maging manager wala pa gani cyay na prove sa pagiging crew nya, kataw anan.

Nakita nako na seryoso raba tong manager na himmon cyag manager sunod, nakita pud nako ilang erffort na tudloan c hanzel para mo improve anfg performance para ma promote sunod. Pero sa akoa lang dapat pud unta studyhan nla kinsa ilang e promote kay dili na inaana basta basta kung wala juy ibuga ang tawo dili jud dapat maging manager. sa case ni hanzel magkatawa lang ko dili nako ma imagine na maging manager cya kataw anan.

Walay problerma ang manager once maging honest lang sa trabaho ug mag provide jud ug quality works pirmi. kay hanzel kulang sa qulaity works ug dedication sa trabaho

IM HANZEL MAGNO TOROBA, AN EMPLOYEE OF KFC GENSAN WOULD LIKE TO COMPLAIN WITH THE MANAGEMENT OF THE BRANCH( KFC KKC MALL OF GENSAN BRANCH GENERAL SANTOS CITY). IVE BEEN AN EMLOYEE FOR 3 YEARS. I AM A WORKING STUDENT OF THIS COMPANY.I WOULD LIKE TO COMPLAIN WITH THE MIS MANAGEMENT OF MR. EDCEL SOLOMON AND ANET PINEDA.THEY JUST TERMINATE ME WITH NO CAUSE. IT JUST STARTED WHEN I ASKED PERMISSION TO HAVE MY BREAK. I HAVE AN 8 HOURS DUTY IN THAT DAY.WHEN I ASK HER TO HAVE MY MEAL SHE TOLD ME TO GO. "PAG ULI DIDTO NGANUNG MAG KAON PA MAN KA" I WAS HURT COZ IM SO HUNGRY . THAT MOMENT WHEN THEY TOLD ME THOSE HURTING WORDS I WAS DISSAPOINTED.THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THEY TREATED ME THAT WAY. 刚才放工去了Bayan Baru某炸鸡连锁店吃晚餐,order了最新的HOT Rxxs吃,谁知吃到一半就不对劲,仔细看。。。原来是塑料。
早前都常听说街边的小贩为了要让香蕉糕更香脆都会在油里加点plastic, 想不到现在竟然出现在某炸鸡连锁店里!虽然可以说plastic可能是不小心掉下去的,但这也未免太离谱了。在这里警惕大家在外面吃煎炸食物前请三思。。。

After my working day, i visited Bayan Baru XXX Fried chicken Francies to have my dinner, ordered the recent new item - HOT Rxxs, who knows, i found something unexpected, look carefully, ... it is plastic material.
Previously we heard of the fried bananas, in order to make it crispy, they will add in some plastic (e.g. mineral water bottle) who knows the i saw the same thing at this XXX Fried Chicken francies! Although plastic could accidently drop into the cooking place, but this is really rediculous. Just warning every of you, please be careful before you having fried foods outside.

My apologize on the bad english, I just hope people should know about this, KFC is worldwide business, if any one of the premise are doing this, might risking the consumer, it might be someone you love.

i have been working there at this company and they have recently cut my hours down to nil i have a family and need the work to provide for them . i havent done anything wrong as far as work wise and want this matter resolved i was employed in march of this year

Not necessarily, omg. When I worked for my last job (it was union, by the way), they cut everyone's hours to the bare minimum so that they wouldn't have to lay off their employees.

When a company isn't doing well, they can either lay off employees or cut hours to the bone. Especially since the poster hasn't been employed long, I'm sure more senior employees get more hours before newer employees do when they have to cut time.

For you to get your hours cut so dramatically means A) a manager does not get a long with you or B) you have managed to not follow some rule and instead of them firing you they would rather have you quit
