I turned in 4 rain checks for the chicken meal because I have 3 kids. When my rain check coupon came today it was only one. When I called to find out why I was told because it is 1 rain check per envelope. I was also told that 1 was all I was getting even though I turned in 4 which was how many you were allowed to turn in. In my opinion if you do not want to honor a special do not run one.

If you were forced to get a raincheck file a complaint with your state's consumer affairs department. I don't believe it's legal to force people to acccept a raincheck for something that is in stock - false advertising.

I printed out 4 KFC free meal coupons and went to cash in 1 at the KFC in Orange Park FL. I was told that due to the huge demand they would'nt be able to honor the free coupon at this time. There were 2 cars in the parking lot and an entire tray of grilled chicken in the clear case behind the person telling me they didnt have enough chicken! I asked what if I wanted to buy some grilled chicken and she said then I could have some. I was told that I have to fill out a form, giving my name and address and attach my coupon to the back and another coupon would be mailed to me at a later time. Wow so KFC is going to try and recoupe some of its losses be selling millions of names to ad companys! I filled out the form but made up a fake name with my address just to see how much junk mail I will get with the bogus name and for every piece I'm going to sue KFC.

KFC came on Oprah friday web cam and stated he was sorry for any problems that accrued by the free meal coupons and that one can go to any KFC or KFC.com for the rain check info and plus u will get a free drink with your meal that way the restaurants won't get overwhelmed at one time but they are going to honor thier coupons. And I am the one that started this mael oops meal complaint it was just easy mistake if u had took the time to read my complaint u would have noticed how mael oops is spelled I am a LPN and I cook at home and I'm not running around looking for freebies. But thank each of u for your suggestions and comments negative/positive ones THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN SOLVED!

If you are really upset about the KFC coupon give away and their subsequent actions of not providing the free meals, contact your Attorney General and make a complaint.

boycott

Everyone who has been scamed by KFC on the free meal should boycott KFC. It has nothing to do with getting a job or cooking at home. It's the principle of the matter. KFC shouldn't offer anything that they're not willing to comply with. The overwhelming response is no reason to not do what you advertised to do! I have a job, making good $$$$$$ and cook at home but I expect the industry to do as it advertised. KFC is not my first choice nor my only choice.

As far as complaining goes, I did not bother to make a call. I simply choose not to do business with them, or any other YUM food outlet. That plus talking to everyone you can and let them know what happened. If they dont like long lines maybe they would prefer empty restaurants.

not having it
Douglas, US

This problem is existing in the Douglas, Ga area as well. I tried to use the coupons at the KFC in Douglas and they were not accepting them today(May 7, 2009). I called the manager, Joe, and she said that they weren't accepting them today because they accepted them yesterday. She said that she doesn't know if they will accept them any more after today. This is a scam if they're not honoring their own free 2 piece coupon that is printed out on the KFC site that is valid from 5/5/09 thru 5/15/09. The coupon stipulates that you can't use them on Mother's Day (5/10/09) only. What is the complaint telephone numer to KFC headquarters? This is happening in every city. We, as a people, should complain.
