I'm looking to find if anyone else has had this problem with her with this litter of puppies?

In September 2013 I purchased a male puppy from Teresa Haver Kabeara Samoyeds, Lockport, IL. The cost of the puppy $1500.00. I paid an additional fee approximately $400 for shipping via air freight from Lockport, Illinois to Elmira, NY.

I'm not going to address the fact the puppy was infested with Giardia and was treated by my vet within two days of his arrival. I was also informed by my vet the puppy had an umbilical hernia making him not suitable for breeding if it was congenital. Teresa knew at the time I purchased the male he was to be mated with my female Samoyed. At that time she suggested I purchase the one she sold me not the one I originally asked for. The one I asked for was $300.00 less expensive. She advised me, this male would be better suited for breeding purposes as I sent her all of my females lineage.

I addressed the issue concerning the umbilical hernia with Teresa and she assured me it was due to over anxious dame at time of birth, not congenital. My vet takes issue with that.

The problem is Teresa is withholding AKC Registration Number. I've contacted her numerous times on this issue. I told her I would be contacting her weekly until I had the AKC # for my puppy. Teresa assured me she was working on the paperwork several times. Last conversation resulted in her telling me go call your attorney and she hung up on me.
This puppy has “show quality” without AKC registration he can't compete in any arena.

According to her paperwork forwarded to me the sire is Buddy Paws of Kabeara WS324706/01 & dam Kabeara's Kathleen of Teena Kayasar WS306981/01 she refers to my male puppy as Kathy's Male 866.

So, I've filed a complaint with the BBB hoping this issue can be resolved as of 1.12.14

Well, we will see...I'm delighted with my puppy he's wonderful, and healthy now. As for his papers well if legal doesn't get it, media might! BBB & AKC has been contacted on my behalf so I'm ready and set to go...
I can be a real pain in the butt and leave no stone unturned. I want ALL of what I paid for, meaning an AKC#.
I feel others may have encountered this problem with Teresa of kabeara samoyeds and just let it go, I will not. She was all sweet when I was buying the puppy and then became a ghost when I wanted the AKC#, couldn't get her to give a straight answer. So, I think people should know. Teresa is not a good person to deal with and I don't really think she cares about the puppies. To many litters at one time, bad breeder ~ puppy mill.
I gave a "glowing" guestbook note before, I knew what she was up to only because she asked me to sign her guestbook. I have asked her to delete it as of 1.13.14. As usual no response from her.

"discredit Theresa and destroy her reputation" No, not my intention. Maybe, your her friend (kinda think you are) or maybe you got your paperwork, in either case I don't believe your post.
For what I paid Theresa I should have gotten all the AKC pp/wk, I should have gone with "white magic" and not her puppies. At lease, I would have gotten AKC pp/wk and a beautiful puppy.

Therese is a bad person to do business with.

Alice

I have been told by Lisa Johnston at the AKC that Mrs. Heaver did NOT reply to multiple attempts by them to get HER side of this dispute. I also sent a notarized, certified letter to her myself and the post office said they have tried 2 times to get the letter to her and after the 3rd try they will send it back to me. Does this lack of response indicate a REPUTABLE breeder?

Teresa Beaver has lied to me from the day I purchased my puppy. I have called her multiple times and have been given a different story every time I've tried to get his registration papers. I tried contacting her 5 times on 10-25-17 and each time she screamed at me that she didn't know who I was even as I tried to get a word in and she hung up on me. On the 5th try she agreed that I would send her a certified letter. I have also contacted the AKC. She has NOT RESPONDED TO ANY ATTEMPT TO FULFILL HER OBLIGATION TO GET MY PUPPY'S PAPERS TO ME. I will be pursuing other means of holding her accountable.

I purchased a male Samoyed puppy from Teresa Heaver at Kabeara Samoyeds on June 16, 2017. I have experienced the same problems...NO REGISTRATION PAPERS. I have contacted the AKC and have been told that my puppy's mother was NEVER REGISTERED AND NEITHER WAS THE LITTER HE CAME FROM!

If you look at kabearas line, white magic started with kabeara pups. Just saying. I have not gotten paperwork yet either and am purchasing another . they are gorgeous and arrive clean and healthy. These dogs are very smart and i have every confidence i will get my paperwork. I have the paperwork for the !ine and that is what akc will ask for proof. Usually the whole litter is registered not dog by dog. They send the correct amount of reg. Numbers for each pup and you register your pup. I guess she does all that. Well see.

Have you had any luck? I'm having this same issue with my aussie breeder. Akc investigation is underway & then I'm looking at other avenues. Has bbb helped? Have you found other places to take action? Small claims court, attorney generals consumer protection division? Just trying to go down every road I can too.

I have tried to post on this site three times with no success. I am questioning the legitimacy of this site currently. I purchased a puppy from Kabeara Kennel roughly 5 years ago. My first visit to the kennel I arrived unexpected and unannounced as I was simply trying to locate the kennel at the time. I found the adult dogs outside in covered, clean runs with roughly 2 to 3 dogs per run. The dogs were all clean and well groomed. Although the dogs did bark at me they did not show any aggression at the time. I knocked on the door of the kennel to see if anyone was inside with no response. I looked in the windows but did not see anyone inside. The inside of the kennel was clean and well organized. There were no dogs inside and no cages or kennels stacked on top of one another. My second visit to Kabeara I arrived to talk with Theresa about purchasing a puppy. I had to wait about 15 minuets for Theresa to arrive. All of the dogs were inside the air-conditioned building since the day was much warmer then on my last visit. Once inside the kennel, Theresa immediately let the dogs outside. The dogs came back inside in an orderly fashion and went directly to their sleeping areas which were clean and well organized. The dogs once again were also clean and well groomed. One my final visit to pick up our Bailey I found the kennel in the same clean and orderly condition. The puppies were divided by sex into two large open pen areas. I was allowed to select the puppy I wanted. Our Bailey has been a very healthy, sweet and kind tempers and amazing obedient. Even though we purchased Bailey solely as a family pet with no intention to breed or show, we did receive all of his paperwork at the time of purchase. I suppose things can change over time but considering the post from 2013 telling the same tale as my own, I assume it has not. It is interesting to see that those of us who have been to the kennel have a dramatically different opinion of it than those who have not been to the kennel. It begs the question... is this thread simply another breeder wishing to discredit Theresa and destroy her reputation. We would purchase another puppy from Theresa based on our amazing boy Bailey and our past experience. I have enclosed a picture of our sweet boy. As I said he is a family pet and the girls thought he would look even more beautiful with a headband on.
