I would like to file a report against the above named company that offers extremely bad business practices, and will not refund my money for services never rendered.

The company name is, “J.S. Paluch Company, Inc”, a company that does adverting for businesses, mainly church papers. I have listed all necessary information below.

The person that I was first in contact with was, Katie Unbehauen. I have the paperwork to support all claims. I first spoke to ms. Unbehauen on January 2, 2007, concerning running an ad in the “LOPH” church paper.

After repeated phone calls by Ms. Unbehauen, (Many which I have on my answering machine for you), I finally told Ms. Unbehauen that I thought her price of $9 a week after an $80 deposit was too much. I own an appliance repair business. I told her I was not interested.

On January 8-9, 2007, Ms. Unbehauen called and lowered the amount to $7 a week. (Again I have both contracts).

After speaking with her, I agreed to these terms. I sent a check for $80 on January 10, 2007. Ms. Unbehauen stated that it would take 2-3 weeks for my ad to hit the church bulletin.

On January 28, 2007, I called Ms. Unbehauen to ask why my ad wasn’t in the paper yet, and-or why she hadn’t cashed my check. She stated that she did in fact receive my check on or about January 14th, but hasn’t sent it in as of yet, and that she would do so.

When I did not see my ad as of the February 5, 2007 church paper week, I called the JS Paluch company and they stated that they had just received my check, and my ad would be in the last week of February.

This was unacceptable to me. This makes a total of 7 weeks since I spoke to Ms. Unbehauen about my ad, and I no longer trusted this company, nor wanted to do business with them.

I asked for a refund on Feb 5, 2007.

As of today, February 12, 2007, they are now stating that it could take up to 2 weeks for my check to be sent to me.

This is a total of over 2 months that my money will be tied up with this company.

I will continue to write to every news portal, news outlet, and other church and consumer news sources to warn them about doing business with this company.

Please file a report on my behalf. I understand the local newspaper in Philadelphia will be running my complaint on Thursday.
