I purchased a Done For You Shopify service offered by Josh Black Agency. This was on November 7th last year.
This service was to build the store, provide an online course, which I do have but it is not good. The store was to have a custom theme, products added and fulfilled so that it starts making money and was earning before handover.
I emailed their support later in November to find out when everything would be completed and on that occasion I got a reply that I would be informed when the site was finished.
My father was seriously ill late last year and I had other work on though December, so I didn't follow up again and truted them to complete the work satisfactorily.
This has not happened.
I discovered that this is a scam and the entry level into it is the offer of a complete course and the "carrot" of the done for you service. This all came to my attention when an unauthorised payment was taken for £997 on 23rd February. This is the cost of the original course and service that has not been delivered and is shown clearly as a "one off" payment. My bank is disputing the charge from 23rd February, but tell me they won't be able to get the original refund, despite a 100% satisfaction guarantee that was provided.
I was told by a friend that Josh Black is a scammer and is renowned for this.
The original transaction was processed via zaxaa.com and they have tried to help all they can. This person is banned from their service and has been for some time.
Following the unauthorised payment in February I sent support emails twice, that I don't have record of, demanding an explanation and a refund. I got no reply. I found Josh Black profile on Facebook and messaged there without reply. I emailed the alternative email address shown on the website joshblackagency.com and got no reply from that.
Recently I saw an ad on Facebook offering the same service. This offered a free consultation with Josh Black, so I arranged that. He didn't call, which is no surprise to me. I emailed again to ask if I could rearrange and no reply from that.
Having checked my site (www.justayay.com), I can see that the theme has been changed, but that takes just a few minutes to do and there is no product showing on the site. Also all the written content on each page is my own that I did prior to passing this onto Josh Black to do the work they have been paid for.
I found a video on https://vimeo.com/208128701 and a website detailing this scam just a few days ago. The website is http://mikeandjosh.com/mike-dolev-and-josh-black/
The website shown in the email is no longer live. There is a record of this offer on a different page and is identical to the one I purchased. That site is http://mikeandjosh.com/Offer2/ (new slaes page) the original offer page is http://mikeandjosh.com/Offer1/
This is to entice people in so they can take the money and then not provide the service they promise to provide.
My bank has tried to contact them regarding the unauthorised payment and, after 3 weeks, have still not received a reply.
