John Christner Trucking The managers didn't care about the employees, if it didn't concern the job

I have worked for the company John Christner and I can confirm that this company pushed their drivers to change the trucks, when the drivers didn’t want to. Also the manager asked us to change the miles in the reports. They have hired me as an independent driver, but I needed to do everything what they have asked me to. But two weeks ago I had an injury and I needed to visit the doctor, but the manager said that I needed to work. They don’t care about you if it doesn’t concern the work.

John Christner Trucking They lied to me and tried to fire me after an accident

I was recruited by the company John Christner Trucking. I thought that I finally found the company, which would be good for me, but these guys started to scam me. I started to notice it, when they haven’t paid me the full payment for the job. They found some excuses and I couldn’t prove that they lied to me. After that I had an accident and they tried to fire me, and no one gave me the chance to explain what has happened. Also they wanted me to pay for all expanses, which they needed to pay because of this accident.

John Christner Trucking TRYING TO GET PAID

I WAS A SECOND SEAT DRIVER WITH JEREMIAH BUSHNELL TRUCK L2286B. THIS FOOL HAS NO CLUE HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS. HE'S FAT AND LAZY AND DISGUSTINGLY NASTY. HIS TRUCK WAS A MESSED WHEN I GOT ON IT, I EVENTUALLY HAD TO CLEAN IT UP, BECAUSE I CANT LIVE LIKE THAT. HE USED TO SPEND HIS DRIVE SHIFT FLICKING BOOGARS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AND THE WINDOW. HE WOULD DRIVE FOR THREE TO FOUR HOURS THEN HIS LAZY ### WOULD HOLLAR ABOUT HE NEEDED TO TAKE A POWER NAP. HE EVEN HAD TO USE MY PHONE BECAUSE HIS IRRESPONSIBLE ### COULDN'T KEEP HIS PHONE ON. WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND LET THEIR PHONE BILL GET UP TO 6500.00 WHAT AN IDOT. SO NOW THAT IM NOT ON THE TRUCK HE REFUSES TO PAY ME THE MONEY HE OWES ME BECAUSE HE NEED TO PAY HIS PHONE BILL. WHAT COMES AROUND GOES AROUND. I ALSO FAULT JCT FOR ALLOWING THE LEASE OPERATORS TO GET AWAY WITH NOT PAYING THE SECOND SEAT AFTER LEAVING. JCT IS A ###ED UP COMPANY TO WORK FOR AND JEREMIAH BUSHNELL IS A FAT ### ### MUTHER###ER, WE WILL MEET AGAIN...

I have been a fleet manager and know what a dispatcher can or cannot do. That's why we have email, telephones, and other communication devices so loads can be planned the most effective way. It is the dispatchers responsibility to ensure drivers are making check calls and if not why? What is their status, on route, delivering, unloaded, available hours, log violations I'm sure you get the point. If loads are not there I have been in situations where I have called customers and asked for their business. Jack of all trades is what a dispatcher is, not someone who is going to allow a fellow team member fail, or turnover rates go through the roof. So for the person up top how hard would you work for your drivers? I am a owner operator and have played both fields so I am just curious what you think builds a good team?

Your husband does not understand trucking at all he must be a X swift driver. Dispatchers can not ### loads like a lot of drivers think they can.

I'm going to stay neutral to the above complaint, but want to comment on the above comment. My husband hired on with JCT the end of May 2012. From that point until now, mid July 2012, he grossed around 18000.00 and has brought home less than 3000.00. What a disappointment. He is one that prides himself on being "on time" and has been early even by a day for this company...then gets such a pat on the back by sitting for 2 days after his delivery waiting for a load. The sitting time is killing his settlements...here's a for instance, last week he only drove 1150 miles because of the way the trips fell and waiting on the wonderful load planners to figure out what they had for him...his settlement today was -479.00. Wow! And, to top it off...making under 3000.00 is utterly ridiculous, especially in these economic times. To the above comment, my husband has in 25 years of experience...so yes, we do know what we are doing. Also, Keith Salley and Royce are a joke! They give their word on something and it means nothing. For example, my husband's truck blew the turbo on week 2 of driving. Of course we had to get it fixed, we need to work. The mechanic told him that the turbo was bad before we had leased it...so, the mechanics either missed it or neglected to say anything. My husband called Royce, Royce and Darrin were on the phone with my husband...both agreed that the company would "eat" the price of the turbo due to their faulty mechanics. Low and behold, this week...his maintenance account is now -1886.00...guess they changed their minds and decided to make my husband pay for it. My husband has been searching for other employment, and has been accepted at another lessee company (thank goodness). We just cannot afford to work for JCT, John Christner Trucking, and he does has the experience of being an owner operator (aimed at the above commentator). Funny thing is, they have done everything in their power to keep him from quitting, but haven't justified why no money. I want to personally warn any future drivers out there...be careful with JCT. Make sure you do your homework, because not every story is a happily ever after as above...they have bit us in the ### one to many times in 6 weeks. Good luck!

My husband has been driving for JCT for 12 years...sure, we have had problems here and there thru the years, but if you are a PROFESSIONAL driver and conduct yourself as a mature adult, they will treat you with respect. If you go in whining, ###, and blaming everyone else for your downfalls...no, you probably won't get the results that you demand. Grow up...My husband has made enough of money through the years that allowed me to quit my job and go to college. I was able to obtain my degree and pursue my dream career. Every company has its issues - some are worse than others. If you think that I'm writing this from a wife's blind point of view..you are dead wrong...I personally have been in the transportation industry for 24 years on the other side of the coin...in the office. I understand the company from both sides. If JCT was as bad as "Moondoggie" says then it wouldn't have grown as much as it has in the past 12 years. It's probably a good thing that you parted ways with them because you definitely aren't JCT material. Good luck with your future endeavors and my wish for you is that you mature sometime soon and stop blaming everyone else for your shortcomings... For the others who have had problems, I have to wonder if you've had problems at the other companies that you have been with? If so, may need to look at the commonality there...To sum it up...there isn't a single company that will have 100% satisfaction, but JCT is by far the best company for our family and I stand behind them (even at the times that I disagree with them). Because I understand the business. I personally know Keith Sally, Marty Means, and Charli Brown..they are all good people who have many many years of experience (probably more than any of you who are complaining about them).

John Christner Trucking - Rude to drivers

In 13 yrs of OTR, I have never experienced such rude and demeaning behavior, directed at truck drivers, as I have with John Christner Trucking. From the initial orientation, when the presenters were condescending, impatient, and disdainful to the tentative drivers, to the shop, to the driver managers, this place is the truck driver's enemy and should be...
