My children have been court ordered to attend reconciliation counseling with Ms Seidel. During my first meeting with her she manipulated my words and wrote lies in her notebook even after I stopped her and told her it was completely incorrect. My 2 boys age 10 and 11 are refusing to go to speak with her. Because of this, she told me to park the car outside her Toronto office, open the doors to the car and leave the area so she could have
"Private space". She wrote to family court repeating the lies and manipulations she had wrote down and completely denying that she had told me to abandon my boys in the street. I am horrified by her behavior and the stories I have read. I am asking if you would be willing to tell your experience in the form of an affidavit. It is the only way that I may persuade the court to spare my children from this woman. I understand that this is a lot to ask ... It is my only hope. Please contact me at [protected]@live.ca

Dear Please Help! I very sorry you had this experience, Seidel and her "Little Shop of Horrors" is supposed to be protecting children. Instead, all this firm wants to do is take your money no matter what the risk. I too was forced to use this firm years ago through a court order. After signs of deception, falsifying her records and the court having believed the evidence I put forth, that my son and daughter were both at risk of extreme danger under this organizations "so called" care. I fell on a good judge the day my case was presented, who happened to have done her due diligence and listened to all the evidence. She ruled to have this firm changed, although I don't know if there were any other consequences to Joanna Seidel. If she's still in operation, then probably not. I wish other parents are spared the pain of watching their children unwillingly walk into harms way, as you stand watching, hoping that nothing will happen on this visit. I thought I was the only one whose family had experienced this kind of horror, but as I read these posts, I realize NOW that I was not alone. At the time, I felt desperate and alone. Had I been unable to hire a good attorney, who fought for my children, then I can only imagine how this could have turned out. What about all the other parents who may not have the ability or the necessary means to fight in court? My children's father was incarcerated and I am so lucky that they are free of the brutalities of the court system and the vultures who sit in the periphery waiting to make money from the most vulnerable population. Our children. Shame on you!
