It blocked my programs, and kept me from using system restore. It is time for revenge! I am currently trying shut down security tool from the world. Microsoft needs to know this. Wish me luck... It was only the warnings from others that saved me from wasteing money and becoming victom to bank/identity theft Thank you.

This is what happened to me, too. I was alert enough to go to START/All Programs and found the program listed there. I deleted it - HOWEVER, it did NOT delete the program - I just kept getting messages that I had xxx number of virus attacks - it is intersting to note that the number of attacks listed was NOT consistent. I finally had to RESTORE my system and this wiped out all of my E-mail messages and a lot of other things. However, it was worth it to get rid of that intrusive software. There is a way that you can restore a lot of the 'deleted' files, but I didn't go through that effort. I noticed that NORTON didn't catch this virus and noticed that NOW I am getting frequent messages from NORTON that they have blocked suspicious software. Have you noticed that NORTON has frequent pop-ups to inform you that you have not backed up your files recently? Well, OF COURSE NOT - they have nearly filled up my hard disc with their backups, most of which I would never use. The point is, they never tell you how to delete those backups. There is always some program(s) that has an "ARCHIVE" attribute, and even if you reset it to READ/WRITE, there are some programs that you just cannot delete. You CAN copy the backup to (I have a USB drive) to the auxiliary disc and you can delete that copy with the delete option - but you cannot do it to the original that resides on you C drive. Of what use is that? Has anyone else tried to delete a backup??? Will
