Jewel-Osco juice cooler

While shopping at Jewel-Osco at 12803 S Harlem Ave in Palos Heights, IL. 60463 this evening, I was walking through the juice and iced tea aisle-as I was looking through the options, I noticed that all of the juices and teas looked very bad and were not cold. It looked like the juices were not being kept cold enough and had spoiled. Upon further inspection, I noticed that there was MOLD all along the bottom of the cooler, which is very unsettling to me as I shop at this location weekly.

Jewel-Osco manger

Jewels in Oak Forest IL manger Bill L has a bad chip on his shoulder..I'm a vendor for Red Bull and I always have to speak with a manager when I arrive. My very first time working the store, I couldn't find a manger so I asked a store employee to help me find one..So the young man pages him and he comes to where I was in the aisle.So I tell him who I am and he's upset bc I made him walk to aisle 4 and said I didn't look for him..I tell him I did look for you, and that this is my first time working this store and I didn't know what you looked like..So he just has the nastiest attitude whole time I worked..

So I have to work this store again mind you I haven't been back for a whole month bc I was trying to avoid it bc of what happened to me the first time... So this past Saturday I get to the store and start looking for a manager and to my luck it's him again Bill L..He must have remembered me and tells my where to find my back stock but there's pallets in the way..So I ask him a simple question and he just goes off on me saying you've been here b4 you know where it is...So I'm like whatever I just wanna hurry and finish. I start to move the pallet out my way and spices start to fall from the top of the pallet cuz somebody didn't place it securely on top and he comes over and oh lord he starts snapping on me..He goes this is not where the item is and your breaking things and tell him it's not even my job to be moving pallets out the way & somebody didn't put this stuff up right and he's turning beat red and getting loud..So again I respond back informing him that he said my back stock was in back of it.. And again he gets super loud and tells me I have a nasty attitude, so I tell him I'm done and that somebody else will come and do the job and that I will never ever come back to this store bc I don't have to deal with crazy lazy people

Jewel-Osco item ordered (canned ham) was not available as promised

The week before Thanksgiving, I was told by Matt from the meat department that he would have canned ham available on the Saturday before Thanksgiving that I could pick up on Tuesday or Wednesday (11/20 or 11/21). It never became available and I had to buy a bone-in ham (because I promised to bring ham to the Thanksgiving dinner). This was not a reasonable solution to the change of plans because I wasn't happy with the end results.
A possible resolution would be a 20% discount on a future grocery order since I used the 20% discount I had to purchase the ham I ended up buying and was very unhappy with the results.

Jewel-Osco pharmacy

My parents have been using jewel pharmacy for years. And I dont know for how long but they been having nothing but issues. Never calling the doctor for refills they really need. Giving meds they dont need and just assume it and dont ask. They never call my dads doctor for his PARKINSON'S DISEASE and he been out for 2 days my mom calls again and they finally decide to tell her they never called the dr...why!?!? What are they doing that they couldn't call. And this isnt the first time neither. Along with my mom with her diabetes. My dad without his meds for his disease is not good at all. But who cares right! Unreal

Jewel-Osco manager

As i walked to eric which is the manager. I was giving my resume because i was apart of the hiring event but didnt get interviewed because of family emergency. While i was talking he started talking to another customer and walked off. As i waited 10 mintues, he came back and he cutt me off again just to tell me that he have to help another costumer. All i wanted to know what i should do to getting a job and telling him what i had in mind and i was cutt off like getting a job isnt important. Im a costumer too and i need help just like everyone else so he didnt want to talked about it. As i walked off he asked what did i say and gave me my resume back . which also very rude

Jewel-Osco customer service

On 11/12/2018 at approximately 7:30-8PM, I faced discrimination by your bagging employee. I am a deaf individual and I was at the register checking out, when I was treated with disrespect because I could not hear what the bagger was saying to me. I asked her three times to repeat herself and she displayed more and more anger each time. I can not help that she was speaking softly and that I'm deaf. It was loud and a lot was going on, finally I told her "I'm hard of hearing, I'm sorry" and she became even more agitated and rolled her eyes. I was with my sister when this happened. I was so hurt I left the store in tears and my mother went back to the store when I got home to speak to a manager about this employee and then the employee came over and began to deny anything happened. My sister was with my mom and also confronted her that she was there. There was no apology or anything. How do you pride yourselves on hiring disabled? Are you using it as a cover up to hide the fact you're discriminatory? This was horrible and I want justice, I will be talking to lawyers. Thank you.

Jewel-Osco buona beef and store manager

In response to my complaint sent to you last week I received a phone call from Store Mgr Jennifer Oct31.She told me that she placed order for 16lb Buono Beef and it should arrive next shipment, and should be in cooler with other products.I visited the Prairie St Jewel store two and three days later. No beef! Two members from Meat Dept searched and could not find any product. I stopped at Service Desk and was told Jennifer was out. I explained my story and asked to pass on to Jennifer. I stopped at store again yesterday November 8th, still no product.

Very poor customer service reliability. I would have checked that next day shipment and called the customer back to say product had not arrived. I will tear up my rain check and purchase product at Costco. No need to have anyone telephone me. My decision to shop at that store will be reduced based on this and other experiences.

Jewel-Osco pine cones in jewel-osco

To whom it may concern,

I work in the Edward-Elmhurst Walk- In Clinic located in Naperville, IL inside the Jewel-Osco and the aroma of pine cones has caused myself and other employees within Jewel headaches and migraines. We have politely asked for them to be removed once, but they returned in a higher volume a week later. It is extremely difficult to work for 12 hours with the smell of the overwhelming pine cones. For our staff, and patients, we would like them to please be removed.

Jewel-Osco a cashier

I puchased apples which were 99 cents per pound on sale, but the cashier ( Diane U ) checked out as 3dollars 80 something cents. I said it was wrong. The price was 99cents per pound. She said they were 3days sales. Yeah. I knew 3days sales which means until today ( Sunday Nov. 4) She looked up weekly flier, and called someone who can reset the wrong register. She checked out again, but this time also she demanded the same wrong price. Is she a new cashier? I asked how. I said it was wrong again. She called the person again, and reset again. I am not blaming because she made a mistake. Everyone makes mistake. I am saying she never apologized me, although obviously it was her fault and I had to wait for a long time.

Jewel-Osco the manager

Your manger in Bourbonnais, IL (Mike Buchanan) is a piece of scum. He is disrespectful to his employees and his costumers. He has no right being in a position of power over anyone or anything. Total misuse of power and shame on you Jewel for not seeing the writing on the wall when it comes to this arrogant piece of garbage. Send someone to view his interactions with others, prove my point, and get rid of him; or just take this complaint and shove it. I won't shop there again until he is gone.

P.S. I'm very a very popular blogger and I WILL go viral with this complaint if it's not solved and you will lose a lot of business.

I can’t believe he is in a management position. He totally abuses his authority and treats customers, employees and vendors so disrespectfully. I have witnessed this on several occasions. The next time I do I am going to video it and post it on social media. Maybe then his corporate office will take complaints seriously since nothing has been done to him!

I shop there and I was surprised with his attacking attitude when I was returning some items. He was accusing me me of bringing garbage to his store. I asked him nicely saying that he can check the items and return whatever can be returned and leave the rest but he kept his negative attitude saying “Where did you get those items from? As if I stole them or as If I’m trying to make money of something donated to me”,
It is not what you say to your customers but it I should how to say it as he completely lacks the emotional intelligence that qualifies him to DEAL with customers.
After he checked my items he asked his employee loudly “Where is the sanitizer?” I’m a big sanitizer user but I don’t scream at people asking for a sanitizer when I touch their items as if I’m dealing with scum.
It is the corporate decision to put him on whatever position but honestly he can only work at the warehouse away from human interaction.
Good thing I have Kroger, Meijer and Walmart too close to me where I don’t have to see him again

Jewel-Osco fda violation

On October 28th at 6 PM a customer had a non-service dog in your store at 1224 S Wabash Ave in Chicago, IL. She walked up and down several aisles passed multiple employees. One employee went to investigate it, but then did nothing about it. She even went to through the check out where at least 6 more employees saw and said nothing. When I spoke to your customer service, rather than handling the situation she said, "Well, we try but we can't really do anything about it." I suggested that maybe an employee should ask the customer to leave. She deflected and said that it was security's job and I should go talk to them.
Is that your customer service policy? Is that your policy when your company is made aware of a federal law that is being broken in your store. I have lived in the neighborhood and have shopped at your store for over a decade. I will not be returning to your store if this is the way things are handled.

Jewel-Osco bakery department

I called the jewel today 10/26 in the morning to order 18 cupcakes for later on today. The lady that answered the phone her name was ASHLEY, she informed me I needed at least one day notice in advance. I kindly told her I was unaware, it was only 18 cupcakes and if there was any way possible she can do an exception. She told me NO. I am very disappointed at the type of service that I received by the phone rep and also in disbelief she could not accommodate 18 cupcakes. This is kind of an up surd policy. This is very poor costumer service that is being provided to jewel costumers.

Jewel-Osco jewel delivery

I ordered jewel Osco delivery and when it arrived many items were missing. I told my driver about this and he checked his truck and told me he didn't have my other items.

I called the number he advised me to (and the number listed on the receipt) and told the person I charged for items they didn't deliver. They said I would receive a refund for these items AND a $20 courtesy. After days went by and I received no refund whatsoever, I called the number numerous times and emailed 4x. The number continues to ring but no one picks up. In fact, the auto phone message indicated my hold wait time would be 127 minutes! I put my number in to receive a "call back" but of course that didn't happen. I have received no refund and they will not communicate with me in any way. This is quite a scam they are running. If this happened in store, it would be resolved quickly and efficiently, but this online delivery service is HORRENDOUS and the lack of customer service is astounding. Rip off!

Jewel-Osco pharmacy

i started on provigil and after a week was on 200 mg. (august) finally a med to help severe chronic fatigue. i am on disability and gdt pain only once per month. i picked up my script forr september and the dr. faxed it.on correctly 100 mg 60 tablets. my insurance does not cover this, and i depend.on coupns. the first.time i used a coupon for 42.00; this time, the pharmacist didnt even check the previous script or instructions, and pnly gave me 30 tablets. careless and big mistake on your part. to top off the coupon they printed was 56.00. i paid and left, so NOW DO.I HAVE TO CHECK EVERY PRESCRIPTION T DOUBLE CHECK.THE PHARMACIST? THAT SHOULD NOT BE MY JOB! Now middle.of.the month and verified with my dr. that they did send for 60 tabs, and NOW I CANNOT AFFORD AGAIN ANOTHER 56.00 - WHEN MY PREVIOUS SCRIPT WAS 42. AND FOE THE CORRECT AMOUNTS. THEY DIDNT DPUBLE CHECK WHAT I WAS ON THE PREVIOUS MONTH AND SHORTED ME 30 TABLETS - on a medicine that was life changing and now i have to go thru withdrawl withput the funds to pick up the remainder of OSCO MISTAKE. i was talking to Michelle and she repeatedly kept telling.me basically [censored] out of luck they cant help me and they do not owe me any tablets. WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE.IS THIS AND FROM A PHARMACY NO LESS, WHO I HAVE TO BE ABLE TO TRUSDT WITH MY LIFE! I PAID 56 BUCKS. AND SAFEWAY HAD A COUPON THRU RX, FOr32.OO (20.00 cheaper!) someone at this pharmacy should have alerted me, that it was 30 less, and i can get much cheaper coupns thru other pharmacie. a twenty dollar.difference is huge to someone low.oncomw who has to decisde between food and medicine. i want osco to make this right amd give me.the tablets shprted and at no cost so i will not have to witbdrawl foe 15 days because someone, didnt take the time to double check. unforgivable and this should be made right.on your end! absplutely absurd abd to top it.all off, MICHELLE hung up on me mid sentence when.i asked her to have the manager call me tomorrow when he was in. that was too much to ask of her, i asked, ypu cannot follow through.and up with a dissatisfied custo... click outrage! this is the third time this year.that there was a mistake on.script and they have never been made accountable, it is and becomes my.problem, not this time! the last error could have killed me had i not caught that one when i got home.- i have records of the mess ups, but this.time, no! if this is not.resolved on 48 hours, i will be filing with better business bureau and bring up all three errors that osco has made at my expense and once my life. call pls. MICHELLE LAUZON 6/12/64 - AND, the michelle i spoke with on the phone, seripusly needs tp be reprimanded for rudely repeating herself four times word for word as if i was a stupid child - and then when asking for a resolution or follow thru she hangs up on me. i am going to start recording.my conversations from now on. i have never had a pharmacy make this many muisakes, in fact NEVER - and the to treat me that way, AND HANG UO? On Sunday 10/14/18 went to 1341 n Paulina jewel about 1:00 1:30pm to buy and bought rain chk Colombian coffee went to chk out elderly dark short hair 7 earring right ear employee ring up my coffee gave her rain chk of which almost overcharged me had to go over again I asked her for rain chk for remainder she said no she done that's it bad attitude I told her to give me rain chk with different date for remainder still refused told her to call Mngr Justin golemo he came I explained said rain chk from other store I was jewel honors all their rain chk s he went to shelf to chk came back scratched off 9/14/18 he put 10/14/18 signed it gave it to me poor srvc you actually pay employees but d do an apology told him email complaint he said what did u do? Retrain or hire people that know what there doing you competitors are ahead for a reason better customer srvc

Jewel-Osco produce manager brandon talking about employees pay and white people.

Brandon cole has discussed employees pay rates which is very unethical. Venessa munoz makes 14 a hr while the floor manager of jewel only makes 16 and he brags about how shes been there so long and he makes more. He also has said how hes trying to get rid of vanessa because she is very lazy which seems like an intention hes striving for. Public does not need to know peoples private information. Also he likes to tell people how "white people" are always buying everything and that seems racist to break down to one ethnicity. Attached are texts from his phone number.

Jewel-Osco inexcusable customer service

Its been various times that an employee working at the Jewels located in North Riverside at the ticket counter has given inexcusable attitude when buying liquor. Instead of being professional in taking care of a customer, she acts hostile and rude. I would personally want to have this situation taken care of asap.

Jewel-Osco unjustified treatment

Cashier Linda from Jewel Osco in Westmont, IL at 1831 today asked my friend to unzip her jacket during checkout. I'm not sure exactly why this was asked, but it made my friend and I feel uncomfortable, vulnerable, and singled out.

After giving it some thought, I was mortified that the only logical explanation I have for this irrational and awkward request would be that Linda suspected us of steaIing. I vouch for our innocence but regardless, I don't believe Linda should have requested what she requested. I understand her concerns as an employee, but I think that she could've approached this situation differently. Her request not only made us feel uncomfortable, but it challenged our integrity and character.

I hope this will raise an eyebrow or two, because I don't think anyone deserves to feel this way.

Jewel-Osco service at the deli/chicken counter

On 10/9/18 between 4:15 - 5 pm (not exactly sure of the time) I went to the deli to chicken in response to a homeless family's request for food. I was serviced by an older woman- Caucasian, blonde, could have been mid 50's-60's. Ordered a 12 piece asking if I could get half grilled/fried. She agreed as no problem & although I can't relay that she said anything specifically rude, there was an underlying "attitude" in her tone. She spoke in a "nice-nasty" patronizing manner. I didn't ask for certain pieces, but she insisted on relaying several times the limits for the # of pieces of each type that I would get. I just wanted 6 of each, it didn't matter to me. She put both types of chicken in one bucket, my fault for thinking that she would separate them. This employee has been there for quite a while and it's always the same "edge" with her, really just not what I expect at Jewel. I would have done better at Walmart. While cashing out I was grumbling to my grandson that the fried chicken would get soggy mixed with the grilled. The cashier overheard me and he asked what the problem was & I repeated. He agreed that no one likes soggy fried chicken, immediately tried to remedy my discontent, & was going to call the deli and ask for someone to bring the chicken separated. I declined but he demonstrated the type of service that I expect when spending my money. I hope that this doesn't appear petty- that's not the intent. I don't think that the Deli staff person was having a bad day, it's her usual M.O. I am not looking for any redress, just expressing a concern.

Jewel-Osco mistreatment

I was look for 1800 Tequila and while looking around I was singing to myself a rap. A Jewel employee walk up to me and told me to be quiet. I know I was not that loud. I felt like because I am African American/puerto rican that he picked me. I have never given Jewels or any other store a problem. I come in and get what I want and I go. I felt disrespected and it is bothering me that I was treated so badly. The employee made sure if and when i make a complaint about what he did that his name is Pete or Peter. I hope no one else goes through what I did. I will take my business somewhere else because I see Jewels and its employees are disrespectful to the African American community. Or that they hate rap, I dont know. I wish now that I would of recorded it and let the world see how Jewels treat their customers.
