Unfortunately I'm going through a similar situation.He doesn't allow OC members to resolve any resolutions, by giving us incorrect information.Thats how he justifies bringing his solicitor mate in and charging us for it, with out any consultation from the committee.I have submitted a complaint to Consumer Affairs relating to how he conduct's his AGM's.

Why stop at Facebook.A Current Affairs would love a story like this.People would come out in numbers to share there experiences with Jeff.
We now have been build for the solicitor attending our reconvened AGM, for advise and minuets preparations.
Jeff adjourned our AGM at his own accord, the OC members had no say.It is my understanding that he has no right on adjourning the meeting .
PS, my OC fees went from $750 pa pre McLeans to $22k during McLeans and is now $380 pa since McLeans. It’s worth doing whatever it takes to put this horrible little man out of business.
If someone wants to set up a Facebook page where we can talk privately I’d be more than happy to share what I’ve learnt through my experience and many thousands of $ in legal advice. For instance always make sure you are the Respondent rather than Applicant in any legal/VCAT claim as this stops McLean being able to claim Cohens legal fees from OC insurance, which will be the first thing he organised when you made the mistake of engaging him. I know lots more but will need to focus on the hearing for now. Happy to chat after. Will post details.

It's a few days before my court hearing but will try to get there. Make sure you have a copy of McLeans contract and the OC Act 2006 so you can identify and record specific breaches or attempted breaches (you only need one to vote to terminate the agreement). I'll call early next week to explain.

I am going through the same thing with my OC. Would be more than happy to try and connect with you all and see what can be done. Not sure how though. Good luck with your case though and please do post an update on how it turns out. He is a horrible person as is his wife.

There's always one or two persons in each owners commitee that he has in his back pocket ...need to find out who they are first, it's usually the ones that vote to keep him in...same ones all the time.
Let me guess, Jonathan cohen always comes in (have you read complaints about him) and then he gets Buildcheck or Sean Conway (from memory that his name) builder to quote and repair stuff ...they always happen to be the cheapest quote by mere dollars.
Also, there is always one or two persons he hates in the Owners committee and he turns everyone against these people
