Jeffrey E McLean & Co. - excessive fees
Unfortunately I'm going through a similar situation.He doesn't allow OC members to resolve any resolutions, by giving us incorrect information.Thats how he justifies bringing his solicitor mate in and charging us for it, with out any consultation from the committee.I have submitted a complaint to Consumer Affairs relating to how he conduct's his AGM's. How can we get in touch with each other?

Jeffrey McLean (OC manager) and Jonatan Cohen (LMS Lawyers) have quite the money-making operation going on for themselves abusing OC law. They couldn't do it without the help of VCAT (Tribunal- indirectly funded by corporations)) insiders but their set up is crashing down. Long story short I reported them to the Australian Insurance Fraud Bureau. They've been defrauding for years but none of our authorities, including Vic Police, would investigate the "respectable" duo. I discovered their latest insurance fraud by accident -multiple claims made for same fees, misrepresentation and running false bank account. Serious criminal offences. JC has since left LMS abruptly. Everything will be revealed and I intend to make sure everyone who's helped are exposed, particularly those who've used their tax-payer funds to financially benefit these two. Blatant corruption. VCAT's a disgrace. Blessed blessed karma!

Hi, I've made comments on banksgonebad.com.au - case of Ms A which identifies Cohen & McLean as the fraudsters in my case and how the evidence was covered up by the court. Hi Walter, my case was against Westpac in the Court of Appeal for paying a fraudulent claim made by McLean/Cohen. It started at VCAT but VCAT is now run by lawyers for lawyers despite tax payers funding it as a forum for self represented litigants. (Lawyers corrupt everything they get their foot in). Anyway the Court of Appeal's judgment is missing all the evidence relating McLean's fraudulent claim so I'm appealing to the High Court (Victorian courts are known to be very pro-banks and lawyers). There are now 40, 000 signatures supporting the petitions on banksgonebad.com.au where my case is featured (Case of Ms A) so there's lots of support. Will never give up until McLean and Cohen and their co-conspirators in Westpac are brought to justice.
How do we get together and get rid of this vermon from the system ?

Why did Consumer Affairs Victoria give the OK for REIV and Real Estate Managers to rip off property buyers with illegal commissions?
Of course it's because REIV Real Estate mangers fully fund Consumer Affairs Property Fund.
Not even Consumer Affairs Victoria respects the law, when it can earn a dollar.

I would love to know that the Mcclean OC got what they deserve
I'm still waiting on the judgment but will definitely post the results as soon as its handed down. The court has alot of evidence it has to work through so it may take a few more weeks. This case is mainly focussed on Westpac's illegal actions but the evidence includes details of McLeans/Cohens fraudulent claim paid by Westpac which has to be detailed in the judgment. Just as is the case with VCAT the courts are very protective of banks and lawyers and have made it very difficult for me to get this evidence before the court but I fought for my rights and they now can't ignore it. There are journos following this story. Hopefully investigative journalists such as 4 Corners or 60 Minutes will eventually look into the way our owners corporation regulators are funded and the gross bias of VCAT and the courts against OC members. What is happening now is a failure of goverment.

Our contract expires Jan next year.We held a SGM and eliminated his $500 limit on repairs.He must have approval from 2 committee members before paying any bills.

1. OC managers takes OC trust account 'interest'
2. OC managers deposit interest to VIC Property Fund (Managed by middleman Consumer Affairs Vic)
3. Vic Property Fund give money to fully fund VCATOC list
Result - VCAT is fully funded by OC managers. Over 1 million every year!

VCAT is funded by the Vic Property List, which is managed by Consumer Affairs. Real Estate agents/Owners Corporation managers fund the Property list via interest from 'owners Trust accounts' etc. Information about this can be found in VCAT annual reports, and SCA newsletters etc.
Massive conflicts of interest throughout everything owners corporation including owners corporation specialist builders, plumbers, etc - they all look after each other.
Therefore fairy VCAT members refuse to take action against OC managers etc. Mangers/lawyers know full well they can hide behind the bias. VCAT answers to no one. And remember, at VCAT "The law is only a guide"
In fact VCAT members act as thou they literally hate owners, especially if they have valid claims against a manager, which the VCAT members then have to find a way to cover-up.
