JC Penney handling credit check

One day I have 700 to spend next credit Check run and then lowered my limit. Told because I missed a payment. Less then 4 months ago paid my balance. Was watching my balance lost my card and when I called shows no payment do and then one of your associates told me they can run a credit report which I found out my I'd had been compromised and now what. So unfair I was not told a report had been done. And Lexington law people that my rights had been violated do to the compromised on credit. So will pay what I owe and hope for the best. Now that the holidays are coming and I depended on the card to help me it has showed that I had paid more the the minimum payment and no one there really cared. Thanks

All credit card companies can reduce or eliminate your available credit at any time unfortunately. You can make a payment and then immediately see your available credit amount drop to zero after it posts.

JC Penney sale signs and sale signs not the same from one penney's to another

Recently I visited the Northridge Penney's in Northridge, CA. There were sale signs everywhere, but when one looked closely, a large 50% off sign above a rack in smaller print says BUY ONE at regular price, get 50% off this item. There were also many many signs that were were large number 40% off above many many racks, BUT, when looked at closer, it is 40% IF YOU BUY $40 WORTH OF MERCHANDISE! Needless to say I purchased nothing. Today, I went to the Thousand Oaks Penney's to find ONLY a couple of racks of each type above in all possible womens sections as opposed to many many many more in Northridge. They did have the same items in each store only chose to price them differently! This is outrageous to play upon the public who have supported this company for decades. Shame shame.. Needless to say, I will never purchase anything from Penney's any more...Bye Bye

JC Penney customer service

At the Monroe Louisiana Jcpenneys location I purchased an green express hoodie that was marked down from 47$ to 23$ and I had the cashier ring me up for the hoodie she tells me it's on sale for 28$ and I told her there is a sign above the hoodies on the rack saying its on sale for 23$ and I offer to go grab the sign (which specifically says that brand name is on sale) and when I come back with the sign she reads it and types something in on the computer telling me it's going to be 24$ before tax. I ask why it's not 23$ and she says she can't ring it up for that price. Not trying to get angry I paid for it at that price anyway but I am seriously not happy with how things went down. If you list something as a certain price you legally have to sell it at that price. Considering she was the only cashier I could find to begin with there was no way I would be able to find someone else who knew what they were doing. Hoping you will make things right.

"If you list something as a certain price you legally have to sell it at that price."

This is not always true unless your state has a particular law for this. Many states do not. Either way, I'm surprised you are this upset over one dollar. If you have a picture of the sign (or the sign is still up) and have your receipt, it likely they will be able to refund one dollar to you.

I placed a order for shoe boots on October 27th 2017 it have not arrived at the store Hamilton Center I was told that it would be in by November 7th 2017 upon arrival at the store where to pick up your online order they said they did not have it the sales clerk we also called customer service again they gave me a case number in order to get a refund I will never never shop online with JCPenney's no longer I have ordered from Amazon the same day and got my order within 4 business days I'm very disappointed in JCPenney's I have to wait for my money to get back on my card when they decide to put it back on my card. Someone dropped the ball and the customer should not have to suffer for it

It sounds like it was an isolated mistake. These things happen unfortunately. Maybe if you call their customer service, they will consider offering you a discount on a future purchase.

JC Penney terrible customer service

After visiting 4 JCP stores to find a top I really like, I ordered some online. I want an identical top to one I already bought with the pattern centered on the V-neck - as shown on the website - and not one with the pattern off-center. I ordered 4 of the same top thinking at least one of them would be centered but NONE were so I need to return them all. I tried calling the JCP 'Customer Service' line - what a MISNOMER that is! - and was placed on hold for OVER 40 minutes while they tried to connect me to a 'hand-pick unit' who theoretically could find the pattern-centered top I want to buy. No one picked up. I was a half-hour late getting back to work because I did not want to lose my place in the phone line but it was a totally, stupidly, fruitless endeavor. My order # was [protected] and I need to return the whole thing because nothing was as pictured on the website. I think JCP should pay for the return shipping - they failed; not me. And after I had to wait on the phone for 40 MINUTES, JCP should send the replacement tops for free. This is RIDICULOUS!

JC Penney customer service

I ordered the Paolina comfort set on 10-19-2017. It said it was shipped and I asked to receive text to let me know when it had arrived! I called the 1-800 number and it said it was delivered. When I called the Syracuse NY, jcp they told me it wasn't even shipped yet. I called the 1-800 number again. For 3 days I messed with this. I just wanted to cancel my order. After a month of waiting for a comforter was ridiculous. They told me I was unable to cancel the order since it was mine. Unacceptable, the people on the phone were rude and refusing to help. What happened to the customers always right! If I'd act like this I wouldn't have a nursing license. Finally a lovely girl with the name Ciara helped me. Told me what to do. I was able to cancel it. Penney's wonders why they are having Financial issues. A lot of the issue right there.

JC Penney jeans ripped not even 90 days of use

Hello. I bought my 5 year old Arizona jeans for school for the first time ever this year at JcPenny's. He has had 44 days of school I bought 4 pairs so he did not wear the same pairs everyday that ripped. Two of them ripped at the knees. 8 am having o go back and buy Levis this time and hem them. Called JcPennys to talk to someone and got hung up on. Not very nice. I wanted to let you know it would have been nice for them to replace the pairs that ripped. Customer service is nothing these days. Your jeans don't hold up.
I would have bought these as he grew but they don't hold up like Levis.

JC Penney customer service over the phone

I talked to a gal last night and was re ordering a pair or boots I ordered that didn't fit. After asking for the last 4 of my card on the back, she then told me she could not adjust the price for the boots I originally paid even though it was a reorder. I told her not to place the order and received an email stating she placed it. My account was withdrawn $100 from it when I originally paid less than $10 for the boots. I called customer service 10 min after and they said they couldn't cancel the order. I then spoke to Theo on JC Penny chat and he said he could adjust the price last night. I called customer service this morning and they said he hadn't adjusted it nor could they. I'm pretty upset with customer service over the phone and how I've been treated. My local store is always very nice and helpful but not customer service when I call in. I will not be recommending JC Penny or shopping anymore there.

The representative you chatted with did say that the adjustment refund should take 7-10 business days. I would recommend allowing that time frame to see if it's processed.

JC Penney customer service

I recently placed an order online, however as soon as it was placed saw an online coupon code that would have given me a better deal. (Taken $10 off each of the 2 pairs of boots I was buying!)
So, I immediately called customer service to inquire about that coupon code. First time I called, I was told that I'd be able to do an adjustment, but would have have to call back in an hour because it was "too soon" after placing my order. However, when I called back a second time (after being thrown from person to person) the supervisor told me no adjustment could be made because a coupon code was already applied! Despite my efforts to explain the math, she did not listen. She just kept repeating her "lines." She was not even listening to what I was explaining. This is probably the most terrible customer service I have ever received. Very disappointed.

JC Penney order [protected]

I am currently sitting on hold with JCP customer service for 50 minutes now because I keep getting transferred and nobody can supply me with a tracking number that I ordered on 10/23 and it says shipped as of 10/24. They have not been very friendly or very helpful and sitting on hold this long to get a tracking number that should be supplied automatically is not acceptable. I am now on with a 3rd person Carmelita and she is now putting me on another hold. After being a loyal customer to JCP for years this will be my last order.

JC Penney order

I placed order # [protected] on 10/23/2017 as a birthday gift fir my husband . The next day I received a confirmation email stating the order had been shipped as of 10/24/2017 and I could track the order it would be delivered by UPS. So i waited a few days and called on 10/27/2017 since I had not received another email yet the order department said it was shipped and to allow more time. I called back on 10/31/2017 and was told they were not sure what was going on with the order but to call back in a couple days if I had not received a update. Called back today 11/02/2017 and was told that something was wrong with the order and they could not cancel the order since it showed shipped. I was on the phone for 2 hours with no resolution.

JC Penney jewelry

I came to pick up a piece I had pre purchased for a sale, the women helping me the prior day showed me exactly where it would be store and the women today would not look in the box because she's needed my receipt regardless if there was a receipt with my info attached to my piece. I waited over 30 minutes and she was very rude. I continued to ask her why she couldn't just match me with the receipt and my OD since I used my JCPenney credit and she continued to refuse to look in the drawer where I know it was stores until finally she did it the way I had suggested. I argued with her as to why she couldn't do that in the first place when I had told her to and she said it's easier if I have the receipt yet all she had to do was open the drawer and match my credit card info on the receipt with my id. It's ridiculous that she said she didn't want to argue but yet she did what I told her to in the first place. Also a very unapologetic attitude. I will no longer be purchasing jewelry from JCPenney and prefer Kay Jewelers because of the service and attitude of this employee. The employee is Carolyn #394

JC Penney online ordering

I ordered 3 items 7 days ago. I received emails showing the delivery times, and showing the order status. 7 days LATER I receive an email that the item is out of stock. Now...forgive me...BUT HOW can it be out of stock when I ordered it 7 days ago? Why didn't you tell me then? So ...let me guess...you let people continue to order after it was out of stock and BAM! I'm the one thinking I was receiving the shirt today and I'm not. Explain this please? I'm furious. I order frequently from you. I WILL NOT DO IT AGAIN WITHOUT AN APPROPRIATE EXPLANATION! To add to the problem, when I called to get an answer as to why it took a WHOLE WEEK to tell me it was out of stock, the woman just said. "i don't know". When I asked who I could speak to about this craziness, she said "no one". I'm appalled. Penny's ...you're on you way out. Tell me...explain it. I'm totally shocked at this.

JC Penney salon service

I received a coupon for 50.00 off a hair color and cut with a designer or Sir designer. I called for a appointment and was told that there was no designer at there store and the Sir designers did not feel comfortable doing my hair as I have African American hair. There are hair stylist available to do my hair but they are at a Master level and that my coupon would not valid for that level of service.. I feel that I am being discriminated against since I am African American. I though all stylist should be able to do all types of hair with employment. So basically my coupon is being denied because I am black. I was only wanting a hair color and a hair cut. Nothing major. Thanks for allow me to express my disappoinment

JC Penney sales and delivery

I ordered a washer and dryer stackable set with the stacking kit and hoses, then when they came to deliver the set the delivery men said I didn't order the stacking kit and they couldn't deliver it and I had to go buy a kit myself then they would come back. I called and the phone agents say I only purchased 2 stacking services and not the kit. I was specifically told by the sales agent that I needed to buy two stacking kits one for the bottom and one for the middle and this is what he sold me. So then the phone agent tell me I can go buy one and they will reimburse me half of the kit meanwhile I'm still being charged $40 twice for what I thought was the stacking kit and still don't have my washer or dryer for another week and have to make arrangements again to have someone here at my home for delivery because I do have a job! Great customer service Jc penny for selling me the wrong products and then making it my responsibility to fix it and my time and inconvenience to have it delivered and installed! No thanks I will go elsewhere where the staff know what there selling and all of the products that are purchased are delivered together!

JC Penney couch and delivery...

My wife ordered a couch in early September 2017 from JC Penney. We were told several different delivery times over the next few weeks, but eventually it was to be delivered the morning of October 27th. When the delivery truck arrived, the delivery person said they couldn't bring all of the couch inside and were going to leave a large portion of it on a pallet in our driveway. We were also told that they weren't going to open the boxes or move the couch into place and that we should open the boxes outside, as they were full of packing peanuts and would most likely make a big mess. The very first box had a large hole in it and it was clear and easy to see that the couch was significantly damaged without even opening the box.

We didn't want to receive the item in that state, but were told we just needed to add a comment on the form we were supposed to sign. We didn't want to take in a damaged item that was going to need to be removed at some point or assume responsibility for an item that was already damaged.

After loading the box back onto the truck, the delivery driver asked me to speak with his supervisor on his phone. We explained that we were unhappy and assumed that an undamaged replacement couch would be sent to us in an expedited manner. The supervisor seemed annoyed and came across as patronizing, said that he could only give us a refund, that we would have to personally reorder the couch, and that it would take another six weeks at least for us to see it. To reorder the couch we wouldn't be able to take advantage of the sale that we initially had. We don't want to wait 6 more weeks for an item that should have arrived undamaged and without so much run around on a delivery time.

We're very unhappy with the efforts taken by the people that we've dealt with to make us receive this obviously mishandled and damaged item.

A representative from JC Penney contacted my wife and said that we could've had a new one sent and didn't understand why the supervisor we had spoken with had said that. Since that original supervisor had already started the refund process, we were told we had no other options besides reordering another couch entirely. We were also informed that if we wanted to complain, that we really had to complain to the separate companies that JC Penney had contracted to warehouse and then another to deliver the couch.

We don't understand why this was even an issue. If you buy a product from a business and it turns out to be broken, a good company would simply replace it and apologize for the inconvenience. That's all we wanted.

Who packs an entire couch in packing peanuts? I think most people with any sort of common sense, or whom have packed anything fragile in a box ever, would've been able to see that this was horribly packaged and mishandled.

After being tossed around on the phone by people at the warehouse, the delivery company and JC Penney, we're going to take our refund and buy a couch somewhere else.

JC Penney $10 reward credit

I received a $10 reward coupon and placed an order online for same day pick up. I did not get a confirmation for pickup until the next day. The email said my order was cancelled because they did not have it at the store. No big deal right but my 10 reward was not refunded. I called customer service and was told orders cancelled do not get the 10 refunded. I told her that the store cancelled the order because they did not have the item but I get punished because the store cancelled my order. I think that is not fair and customer service was not Willing to do anything. At this point I will be taking my business elsewhere.

JC Penney using reward and credit card

To whom it may concern,
My name is Kimberly Lyons I was issued a 10 reward
With my current J.C. Penney card .
I also had a 100.00 gift card for J.C. Penney my total order was 128.00 I was told I couldn't use my gift card I had to use my credit card ? Because I used the reward . I've had my Penney's card for years !
After saying I was calling corporate all of sudden she said I had to put at least half on my credit card .
I'm really upset and appalled I was treated this way.

JC Penney salon hair cut

You can access my account [protected] and see I get hair cuts often at JCP. For starters, the appearance of stylest #0967 was not professional. I wanted to walk out but my wife wanted me to have a hair cut. It took the longest to cut my hair ever 50 min for a regular trim that ended up butchering my hair and was embarrassing to leaves looking like that and having to pay. I thought all stylest went to school but this one appears to need more time. My hair looks like a child cut it. I am very disappointed. I know lots of people want something exotic and maybe that's what she's used to, but I wanted a simple old fashion men's trim like I usually get. It will take 2 months to grow out and look normal with frequent trimming to shape it back up. When I walked out my wife was so mad she left the salon area.

JC Penney received partial amount when I returned an online order

I was searching for a bomber jacket and I added a couple of items to the cart. Due to a glitch in their software, the order was placed without my concern. I received an email which shows Tax - TBD, shipping - TBD and final amount as TBD. After a day or two, $32.32 was deducted from my credit card and items were shipped to my home address. Since we did not like them, I returned the order at local JC Penney store. When I returned them at store, I received only $22.66 and I was told the balance will be returned automatically by their online services. It has been almost two weeks over and I am yet to get balance $9.66. Customer support phone services and Chat online services could not fix the problem.
