I am making a complaint about the tax return i filed at a Jackson Hewitt booth at St. Louis County Walmart. I do not know the woman's name that I was filing with but the date I came in was Wednesday, February 7th around 4:30 pm. I was not angry about the experience until the end when the fees were brought up. First of all in the beginning, I asked about how much it would cost, and she ignored the question and said something about the banks charging $49.99. After this, we starting filing the return and the whole time I'm thinking that I am only getting charged $50 for the tax return. No, it was $475. I expressed my concern, and while explaining the charges, I never actually received any prices for the charges, instead I heard, this is a free service, that is a free service, apparently not! I honestly did not feel like arguing with the woman, but she looks at me and says, "not happy with the charges, huh?". And I looked at her and said "no im not happy with the charges". and then she proceeded to give me $100 discount. Wow, it's crazy that you just have this $100 discount to make it seem like you are doing me this huge favor in saving me $100 dollars, I cant believe that you want to charge customers almost $500 dollars to file their taxes when I could have done it at home for nothing. The only reason I came up to Walmart in the first place is because if you look up on google, places to go get your taxes done for cheap, first thing that pops up says that Walmart is offering free tax return filing through Jackson Hewitt.

Upon arriving at Jackson hewitt in NC was told I would be charged by how many forms they would have to prepare ! With that being said my form was simple not complexed, Also I came in for advance which was only 200 dollars thenI came back with my W2s and then was charged again why?still no explanation depends on the papers if that's the case why is there no breakdowns of how these fees where assessed ? Then I requested my 1040s couldn't get those either this is a nightmare! Lesson learned never will I come here again! To take advantage of people this way is wrong then to feel as if I'm not owed a explanation is wrong! So what started out to be 400 plus dollars ended up being 569 So wrong to take advantage of people Shame on you Jackson hewitt.

I was lead to believe that the payments dispersement option on the card they provide was free. I also was not informed of my options either. They had charged me the family package of $291. With no explanation of why it cost $410 to file one W2 and two other forms. That is outrageous in price. I've very unhappy and do not believe there services are worth that price since that are unable to explain what the fees are. The website is misleading and not fair practice. Very dissatisfied. Will never go there again for any reason.

I went in to get my taxes done, washelped by a great guy named jose who told me to bring in my paperwork (w2's and 1095) when I received them, no appt necessary. About a month later when my paperwork came in, I headed to the jackson hewitt where I filed 15 miles away (as opposed to the one 2 miles away from my house) to drop off the paperwork and was treated so rudely by the woman working there that I will never file with jackson hewitt again! First, the woman was carrying a conversation with someone that wasnt doing taxes at all while I stood there for 10 minutes. Someone had started standing behind me and she dismissed the person she was talking to and pointed at the couple behind me telling them she's ready. The guy politely said "she was ahead of us" pointing at me. The woman said (very rudely) "she doesnt have an appointment, you do." I then said "I was told I didn't need an appointment to drop off paperwork but its fine, i'll go somewhere else" and left. Then came to the closer jackson hewitt and ended up having to wait over an hour just to drop the paperwork off! All the lady had to do was ask what I was there for and accepted my paperwork. After everything is filed, $505 later, I will never use their service again

I started working with jackson Hewitt on december 18th 2017
I had very little training.
when I started working it was during the advance loan on your refund.
I told vicki that I did not feel ready. she told me
that I would make mistakes but that would be ok (really) its ok to mess up taxes.
then they moved me to a wal mart, I was there for about two weeks, then they moved
me back to pass road location, saying that I need to pick up my speed and get more
training. so I started on pass road location on Monday Jan 29th 2018 I did about four returns.
I filed and did rejects and accepted. all seem to be doing fine, except I ran out of ink for my
printer and there was no refill in the office. also my scanner never did work. and notes was not
working at all on my computer, I told Vicki about it and she told me to make a copie of
the ss cards and w2's thats pretty hard to do when you have no ink in the printer, so she moved me
to another office, at least the scanner worked, but the notes still did not work, I told vicki
about that she said just write the info on paper and scan it in. so I did.
on Tues the 30th I return to work at pass road, I had about 6 returns that day and was feeling
confindent in my work. also she had me close that night, On Wed the 31st same thing i was picking
up my speed and feeling good about my job I also closed that night.
On thursday the 1st I go into work and she is yelling at me about not filing right, funny how i filed right
the days before. I did one return that day, when I would go to help a customer tanya would stop me and say
you can't help that customer because the name on the file is Vicki Frasier, and she has to finish that return.
funny because the days before that was not the case, then she jumped me for the scanning right,
I have never felt so intimidated at a place of employment.
I asked her to help me figure out a refund with putting it into the computer, she told me that I didn't need to
know that. also she spends time on the company computer booking her flights for her next vacation.
Jackson Hewitt, you should know that a customer wanted me to help her finish her taxes and vicki refuse me to
do so. also a customer came up to ask me a question and vicki jumped out of her office and stood between me and
the customer, so she could answer the question herself. how intimidated that was for me and embarassing.
I was never confortable with vicki frasier husband sitting in the lobby every afternoon,
staring at everyone, I was unconfortable and i know some of the clients were also, I don't know what
purpose he served but it definately made for a hostile workplace atmosphere.
he made several un called for remarks to me.
I told this to the general manager and all she did was let me go,
I suggest that you have an investigation on this store front, its a hostile place.

Allen Vaziri is working for your company at Walmart Store #2060 in Lexington, KY. I am a Walmart employee and see him almost daily. I know your other employees have received complaints about him. When he's not busy, he'll stand up and just stare at our employees and when spoken to, he does not speak back; when someone smiles at him, he is expressionless. He does not have a personality. I believe he is hurting your company more than helping it.

Went to JH for advance in December. The lady entered my info and saidy finds should be available within an hour on the prepaid card she gave me
Never received any money on that card. So I decided not to file my taxes with them bc I didn't get any money. Long story short, they submitted my information to the IRS, without my W2. Two weeks prior I called JH customer service number and they said I was not obligated to file my taxes and they couldn't bc they didn't have my W2, well they did, so my taxes have been submitted to the IRS. Poor communication and they don't care about anyone, they just want money. I will never file with them again and I will tell everybody I know about how crooked that are.

I showed up for a scheduled appointment this morning at 9am. The location was inside a Walmart on Platte Avenue in Colorado Springs. As I approached the kiosk the woman working the only person working, just sat there and stared at me rudely. She did not say anything. So I said "Good morning, I have a 9:00am appointment. She rolled her eyes and pointed to the sign in sheet and said "Fill out a form." As I stood there filling it out, my husband had a couple questions and she would not help at all. He was wondering what kind of pricing Jackson Hewitt offered. We have been loyal H&R Block customers for 15 years and thought we would try you guys this year because of the large advance. But, the way we were treated, and the complete lack of respect will make us think twice, and also warn others about the disappointing service. I hope something is done about that woman, she was just awful. I have worked in customer service, in pharmacy, for over 10 years and I have an obligation and responsibility to display great customer service no matter what mood I am in, or how early it is, or what is going on that day. I was very dissatisfied and unfortunately not able to continue our appointment. We literally left before I even finished the form.

I took my last check stub for the end of 2017 to get an advance the lady there filled out my forms incorrect and cost me the cash advance I am very unhappy about it I wonder how many people she has done that to I think something needs to be done about this so it doesn't happen to anyone else it seems to give a person a lot of headache she needs to pay more attention when it comes to someone's taxes

What is the purpose in having an appointment if you're going to sit there and watch walk-ins go in front of you regardless if I have been sitting there for an hour and 15 minutes waiting on my appointment. This happened last year also but I decided to Let It Go but to have it happened a second year memes that is a poorly-run office with Jackson Hewitt's name on it. I am not happy especially as much as it cost to get your taxes done by Jackson Hewitt. I should back charge y'all for my wasted hours of time dealing with that office

I payed almost 700$ for my taxes to be done. I didnt have my information for my school so they told me they can amend it. I filed an amendment march 26. Called once a month till june for them to tell me they have to do it again it got lost. While checking into it i found out they never did my state refund. I payed all this money for all of these problems. I would never recommend them to anyone. I never had this type of service. On top of that when calling they never get back In touch with you, its like u hassling someone about your money and they dont care.

I have had my taxes done by Jackson Hewitt for the past 7 years. The last 2 years I questioned how my taxes was done and the professionalism of my tax preparer. My tax preparer appeared to not care​ about her job anymore. When I expressed concerns about my refund amount she told me she will have her supervisor look over it and to come back the next day. When my husband and I returned my tax preparer explained that her supervisor looked over her work and there was no discrepancies. As we were signing for our taxes to be filed our tax preparer said that her supervisor was new and didn't know how to do anything.
After filing my taxes, I had H&R Block look over my 2016 taxes and file an amended return and it was just approved for almost 1, 500 hundred dollars that Jackson Hewitt shorted us. I had to pay Jackson Hewitt for there poor work and H&R Block for the amended. I am not happy to hear that I was cheated and now I have to have 2015 looked over as well because I lost my trust with Jackson Hewitt.

Went to Wal-Mart last month to have my taxes prepared by JH. Was not even given a price until lady finished my taxes. Was charged almost $300 to prepare my taxes with about 3 forms. Had to pay in $588 and then received a letter from the IRS stating more forms were needed. Telephoned Jackson Hewitt, Left messages, emails and completed surveys demanding a refund. Supervisor Shawn has never reached out to me as promised by Mrs. Wagner. No follow up call by Mrs. Wagner as promised either. Ended up locating another office to find out my taxes weren't complete and I now owe another almost $500. I don't even work and just out of nearly $1300. I could have done this for free on line. I demanded a full refund and I am now invisible to the company that called me everyday asking me to let them prepare my taxes. This is greed and dishonesty. The company doesnt even have a fax machine. Next stop is the Attorney General and BBB.

This year I chose Jackson Hewitt to prepare my taxes and it will be the last time I ever do that again. I am single, I don't own anything, and I don't have any children-yet I was charged $349.00 to prepare my taxes. She couldn't give me a reason why the fee was so much and when I asked the person over her, they acted like they could care less. I had an appointment made, but when I approached the lady she was very unprofessional saying she was going home. She was cursing and I could tell she didn't want to do my taxes. I'm seriously considering going to the BBB.

Last year I filed in January, and because of your employee error about the Insurance I carried, I did not get my return until June, after numerous calls to
the IRS, and the Insurance Market Place.
This year, again I went to your Company, and the employee could not get my state tax to go by e-file, so she gave me an envelope, with address, even though I asked her to call someone first, and told me to mail the State return in. I filed on March 24th, mailed next day. I received the Federal on 4/5/17, and as of today 4/28/17, I have not received my State refund. We will not recommend, or return to your Company next year, and I will be sure and tell everyone the problems I have had with Jackson Hewitt. You company charges more each year, $240.00 minus 50. Walmart CC, for the short form tax return.

On January 27, 2017, My spouse and I filed a joint tax return at the West Orange, Texas Wall-mart location. This was our first time filing with Jackson Hewitt. We explained to the tax professional that we needed to also file the form for injured spouse, due to my wife having student loans. We are both currently unemployed and have financial hardship. The lady agreed and we completed filing our taxes. Several weeks later on February 24, we were informed that our entire refund of $6, 944 was taken by U.S. Department of Education. After several phone calls I was also informed that Jackson Hewitt did not do the injured spouse form. I called a different office in Port Arthur, Texas. I made another appointment and went into that office to file an amendment form and injured spouse, at this time I was told it would take an additional 8 weeks to get my refund. I waited several more weeks and called IRS, Department of Education, National Recoveries and Jackson Hewitt to be informed it would take another 16 weeks to get my refund. Today April 21, 2017 I received a letter from the IRS saying the form 8379 was not signed by the injured spouse or tax preparer . I called Jackson Hewitt again and went in to get papers signed and sent off again. I was told yet again it would take another 8 weeks before i get my return. It will be August at the earliest before i get any refund. My spouse and I have 2 children, are unemployed, living with family and now my spouse is in jail for unpaid fines we were going to use refund to pay. We have no money, no transportation and no way to get my spouse out of jail due to the 3 mistakes made by Jackson Hewitt. Every time I call nobody seems to care or take responsibility for these needless mistakes. I desperately need some kind of reimbursement. I simply cannot go without any money until August 2017. $159.00 to file one w2 is Robbery. I've had my taxes prepared by your company the last 10 years.Every year you charge me more .This year you charge me $30.00 more for the same single w2 ."Come on man", that is a ridiculous increase! And where the hell are the discounted coupons for the loyal returning customer? Plenty of "refer a friend" $20.00 coupons in my mail box, but not a damn one I could use.Our relationship came very close to ending last year after charging me $120.00 to file a single simple w2. Never thought you'd top that fee this year.Didn't think you legally could. Not anymore though .I'm done with you guys.This year is my last year filing with your company. Hopefully I can also lead away all the friends and family I'm responsible for leading to you people over the years. You need to stop robbing the people of Cohoes, N.Y.

Turned in insurance form that I forgot to give when I filed my taxes. Waited a month and did not receive any phone calls. I called my local site and left a message asking when the amendment would be done. Received a phone call from the main office and was told the amendment would be done and I would be called back. Another month went by I didn't not receive any calls. I called the main office to ask what was going on. I was told the amendment was done. I asked why I was not contacted and the employee said they made several attempts to call me but was not able to. I explained that I did not receive any calls. The employee told me the amendment was 155.00. I said I felt it was unfair since it took 2 months to get it done I did not have any calls from their office. I explained that my phone will show any incoming calls even if I do not answer or there is no voice mail. The employee asked her mngt about the cost, I was told they would charge me 100.00. I still said that was too much due to the time it took for them to do the amendment and I received no calls from their office. I then proceed to talk with the office manager who continuously told me I was wrong and her employee was telling the truck about the phone calls. I explained that I could show my phone bill which would be proof of no phone calls. We argued the issue and I was continuously told that I was not telling the truth, even with proof to show the employee wrong. Was finally able to contact a Kim Robertson and I tried to explain the situation, no matter what I said Kim claimed I was lying and her employees were telling the truth. I have tried many times to call the 800 number for Jackson Hewitt customer service and disconnected every time. The customer service number does not work.

I call where I did my taxes and the women was beyond. She engaged in a argument because of a survey I took. Then said one of her representatives wasn't allowed to give out information concerning my old returns. This lady was I guess owner of the store. Beyond rude. She insisted to over talk me instead of trying to understand. Told me stop calling the establishment everyday in which I wasn't.

This past year 2017 my husband and I needed a quick refund to pay bills. So, we went to Jackson Hewitt or quick refund. Worst. Mistake. Ever! We still haven't gotten our taxes back, and all we need to do is file an injured spouse form. I have spent three days calling their customer service to be ignored suddenly disconnected or transferred to the area that can't fix my problem. Do not go here if you really want your money back.
