I order a product for cleaning my teeth called Ivory White. And the price that was quoted was not the same that I was charged . And also I was never informed about how long the trial period was to last. The trial period on all others is 10 to 14 days. They debited to my account $78.41 with out my permission. And I hadn't used the product yet. If thats not a SCAM what is? I did cancel it right away, but they already had taken my $78.41 by now. Which by the way was 7 days later. Not to mention it took customer service for ever to anwser the phone, at least 15 minutes. So I payed for a product that I was suppose to get a chance to try. I payed for something I didn't authorized to be charged to my account which should have cost me no more than $5.00 total. And theres nothing I can do but file a complaint...! This is Bull S***! So don't order this product, Its all a big SCAMMMMM.

Read the terms and conditions that you checked the box on that you stated you read. In there, it says, you have 7 day free trial, after the 7 day's you are automatically signed up for the autoship and will be charged accordingly. You checked the box, you pay the price. Read before paying/complaining about being ripped off.

Everything the company does is perfectly legal. It's not their fault that you didn't read the terms&conditions. They clearly state that you will be enrolling in their "club" and receiving a free trial.
A free trial is not the same thing as a free sample. When a company offers you trials, it means they will take your money after a certain period of time. Why do you think they asked for your credit card information in the first place?

Like most trial offers, you must call to cancel within a certain time frame in order to not get charged for a subscription.

I went to the ivorywhite website, and low and behold, the ONLY way to get a free trial, is to enroll in their Constant Dazzler club. It states directly on the page:

Enroll in our Constant Dazzler Club where you’ll receive a 40% discount on our Retail Price each month. Now only $78.41! Receive FREE SHIPPING the first month - and then shipping is only $5.95 after that!

It also has a very noticeable link that states "click for details"

When you click, you get this:

SUMMARY OF TRIAL REQUIREMENTS: Trial Offer Terms and Conditions: 1.You must be 18 years old or older to participate in this Trial Offer. 2.You must use your own credit card or debit card. 3.Start your Trial Offer now to receive a trial supply of IvoryWhite. You simply invest $1.00, plus a S & P fee of up to $9.47, to evaluate this great teeth whitening product for yourself. 4.Your credit card will be charged the selected S&P charge above. 5.If IvoryWhite is not right for you, call [protected] within 14 days from your order date to cancel your trial and you owe nothing more. 6.By participating in the Trial Offer, you are getting the rate of $78.41 a discount of 40% off of the normal retail price and you will be responsible for taking affirmative action during the Trial Offer period to avoid further charges outlined in How the Offer Works. 7.By clicking on the box or button at the time of order, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions in How the Offer Works. 8.You may call [protected] anytime to contact customer service regarding your shipment.

So the terms and conditions are very clearly stated on their website. You were unable to follow them and now have learned an expensive lesson. Nothing in life is free.

Ivory White Charged CC without authorization

I saw this product's advertisement online and it stated you only pay shipping of 1.03 and you will receive a free trial. I called within the next 24 hours to cancel so I wouldn't receive or be charged for more product. I received my trial along with additional product I didn't order or even want. A week later my account was charged an additional $48! These scammers have not refunded money nor explained why I was charged for a product I did not request. I cannot believe that with all these complaints this company is still in business. Shut this business down now!

Ivory White Stole money

I ordered the trial sample. I received it seven days later on 2/25/11. I cancelled it on 2/26/11. My account was charged 78 bucks on 2/28/11. I was told I didn't cancel within the 8 day trial. The rude CSR advised me the trial started on the day I placed the order. She told me as a courtesy they will refund me 45 bucks. These people stole money out of my account.

I, too, ordered the trial product. As of 3/23/2010, $78.41 was deducted from my account. They have their product, which they say was returned late, so they are allowed to do this. Not to mention, a very rude young lady on the phone. I have now contacted the BBB in Colorado. Everyone needs to do the same!

That is because when you filled out the trial period offer you had to do so by signing up for a recurring "Constant Dazzler Club" that CLEARLY states:

Enroll in our Constant Dazzler Club where you’ll receive a 40% discount on our Retail Price each month. Now only $78.41! Receive FREE SHIPPING the first month - and then shipping is only $5.95 after that!

The terms and conditions for the free trial are also clearly stated on their website:

Your inability to follow directions does not make it a fraud or a scam.

i believe there are many company's out there that abide by the law and others rip people off ...
ivory white seems like a legal company ... till you try their trial period... what i do not understand is how just filling out the shipping and handling charges gives them the right to just go ahead withopuht your permission to charge you for their products without asking you... that is fraud and a scam

Ivory White rip off

I was told I'd receive a "free" trial tooth whitening kit. After submitting m y credit card information, and now allowing me the stated 30 days for a return, my bank account was charged $80+ and I had my normal banking items bounce because they charged my a/c before the allotted time period. Called yesterday and was told that I can't return it, even though the kit is unopened. Now they're stating "no return" after 8 days. I have .89 cents in my bank a/c. To make matters worse, I am currently on Public Assistance from the state of NJ so when my debit card is reloaded on November 1, 2009, all of my funds will be gone for the month. Then I have to try and figure out how I'm going to pay off all the insufficient charged @ $35.00/piece. I am sending them back to the address they came from:

I received this teeth whitening product, but after using the trial product and having it burn my mouth so badly I could not bear to keep it on for the recommended time, I decided relatively quickly this product was not for me. Unfortunately the first shipment came before I had a chance to cancel, so I promptly returned the package. Well come to find out, according to the representative I spoke with, I can not get a refund because I did not get an 'RMA' number before I sent the package back. Apparently you have to schedule a return with this company. HOWEVER, the kind representative did tell me that they received my package. HUH? Okay then everything is okay right- nope. She offered, for a mere fee of 4.95 to send the same package back to me, but it now can not be returned for a refund. Now, mind you, the package is intact, absolutely no product was used or opened or touched for that matter. So, now they have their product and my money. Doesn't seem quite fair to me. It is not even a matter of 84.00 at this point, it is the principle. I will fight to the bitter end to see that this company gets exposed for the rip off operation they are.

Apparently the free trial lasts 8 days and after those 8 trial days, you are charged $78.41 for the complete package. I was charged $78.41 before the trial date expired. I called them on the eighth day and said that I did not want the complete package and that they had already charged my account. The representative put me on hold and when she came back on, she explained that a refund was not normally given but in this case i was issued a $45 refund and i got to keep the product. On the same note, why would someone buy this product and expect it every month if the product whitens teeth '5 shades whiter in 5 hours' ? Wouldn't you need only the trial for the results they advertise ? my suggestion is to skip the hassle and go to the dentist and pay the $150 to get your teeth whitened. They use the same chemicals and the dentists give you novicaine.

Ivory White Bad Business Practices

I ordered a trial of this product. After the trial, the company began sending me automatic shipments. The problem was shortly after receiving the trial I was admitted to the hospital for an extended period of time and THE BOXES ARRIVE UNMARKED. There is no company or product name on the packaging at all. My husband had set them aside and now the company won't take them back because of their strict 30 day return policy... WHICH IS NOT ON ANYTHING I'VE EVER RECEIVED FROM THEM. This company should not be allowed to operate and I'm filing a complaint with the BBB.

Ivory White Item Not Ordered

I wanted to try the "trial sample" being offered so I ordered and paid the shipping. When I received the product there was also a kit that I did not order. Well I tried the sample which was the most horrible experience ever. It burned, tasted awful and nearly made me throw up. Well I followed instructions, got RMA number, mailed package and they still charged my account $78.00 for an item that I never ordered. I called to talk to a representative about the correspondence I had, I had my mail receipt where I sent the package back in. I was told there were no notes on my account only records of automated email correspondence. After getting frustrated with the RUDE representative, I asked for a supervisor who was unavailable - HA! So basically they have there product back and my money. Please do not be suckered in by this free offer. They are crooks and should be not allowed to be in business...

Did Not Order! Unauthorized Charges! Customer Service Is A JOKE! SCAM! THIEVES!

Complaint Rating:
Company information:
Ivory White

Phone: [protected]
www.ivorywhite.com

I was looking through free offers on "Cool Savings", coolsavings.com, and saw many offers, I signed up for one offer - not Ivory White! A totally different offer and company, gave them my complete info, including credit card. Ivory White shows up on my statement with charges of $3.44 and $1.43. I called them immediately and asked who, what, why, etc. I was told this: the charges were packing and handling fees for their free trial offer. I told them I never ordered this product! They replied that they would cancel my account, however, I would have to wait to receive the package and then ship it back, before I could receive a refund. I could not not believe my ears! I never ORDERED THIS PRODUCT!
When I did receive a box, with no information IDENTIFYING IT as Ivory White, I marked it "Refused and Return."
Now, I have discovered a charge of $78.41 on my credit card which I have not authorized.
Ivory White 'customer service' replies that is the charge for balance of the free trial offer. WHAT?
I asked that 'person' what their return address was and was told Bolder, CO.
NOW, that rings a bell! I told her that I had returned the box unopened, marked, "Refused and Return". This 'person' states that they haven't received the package and I will not receive ANY REFUND AT ALL UNTIL THEY RECEIVE THE RETURN! WHICH WAS SENT BACK WEEKS AGO.
I DID NOT ORDER THIS PRODUCT TO BEGIN WITH.
I RETURNED A BOX, NOT MARKED IN ANY WAY AS "IVORY WHITE."
AND THEY HAVE STOLEN, YES, STOLEN UNAUTHORIZED FUNDS FROM ME!
THEY SURE HAVE GOT THIS RIP-OFF/SCAM/ THEFT DOWN TO A WELL OILED DIRTY GAME!

Company is a scam. This online ripoff company markets products Bella Brite, Eyepothesis, Ultimate facial, Bella Clear. All ship from the same warehouse at 6205 lookout road. If asked they will tell you "many companies ship from there' but only one company is in charge called convertis llc. Company is in such trouble with BBB and AG has had to stop shipping within Colorado. If you report them, not just threat to report them to BBB and Attorney General they will refund the money they took from you. Don't fall for free gas scam either...if you are offered gas rebate or partial refund they are still within timeframe that you can get full refund. Gas rebate is a monthly coupon that has to be sent in for 10$ at a time...Please report this company to the BBB and AG so that they cannot profit from their cheesy marketing scams.

I ordered a sample of this product which was to cost only $5 shipping and handling. I received two boxes, one the 14-day trial and the other was for a full month. I was not expecting anything more than the 14-day trial shipment. I didn't get a chance to try the product as I had surgery and wasn't able to use it. When I reeived my credit card bill I saw a $78.41 charge. I called the credit card company and was told I needed to contact the company first. Spoke to a representative from the company that said effectively "so sad-to bad". I could send the product back for a refund or I could just keep it and they would refund $45.00 to my account and not send any more automatic shipments. Because I am still not allowed to drive, I took the easy way out, also the expensive way, and opted for the $45.00 credit. BEWARE of companies that offer "free trials". Before you try any of them, be sure to google the company and see if there are any complaints against them. I have learned an expensive lesson.

Ivory White Scam!

My info was sent to them as a third party contact. I was sent the "free trial" for $5 in shipping. I tried to tell the company that I did not order this. I was told that I would have to wait until I received the product to cancel. I did not receive the product and was charge $80 for the full kit. This is a horrible scam. Even after the post office confirmed that the package was not received they did not return my money.

I just signed up for this and now I am calling my bank ASAP on Monday morning. I saw something flash across about a 70something dollar charge, but it went away and doesn't stay on the screen. I read the entire thing before signing up and it never started anything about additional charges. I am also calling the company to tell them that I have put a stop to any further charges. That is ridiculous and they should be removed for being able to do this promotion.

I need help! I need advice! I paid money to keep the free trial instead of sending it back because I was hoping to get great results. I know have burns on my gums from using this product! I called to get a refund and they refused! What should I do? Should I file a complaint? Also a third party charged me money but I don't know who they are or how to get a hold of them!

The most crucial aspect of these company is that they do not tell you about you signing into a membership wherever they place their adds. They know that people will fall for it because they are under the rush of trying to get "a free MAC" ... Nothing is free! and yes affirmative action applies!

This company is a total scam and there is nothing "Free" about the Free Trial Offer. I can not stress enough to not buy this product and DO NOT fall for the so called free trial offer!

Beware, there are only 4 people that work at this number and they are all a bunch of idiots. Megan, Doug, Terri and one other person. They said they confirmed the tracking with the post office and told me to followup on it. I didn't even place an order little lone a trial and I still got charged $78.41. I asked for the number of their executive office and they said they don't have one. They said they had one other supervisor but he, BRIAN doesn't accept calls period. Talking to anyone of the reps is like talking through a brick wall.

I can't believe they are actually associated with Ivory White. Ivory White has been around a long time and for them to treat people this way by using the good name of Ivory White. If this really is Ivory White, I will certain never but another stop product with their name. I hope they rott in hell!~

Ivory White should be considered a bank robber, because they withdraw money from you account without any notice what so ever. The amount of $167.83 was withdrawn from my bank account without my knowledge...I am disabled and live on a fixed income and that amount of money caused my account to become overdrawn.

I called Ivory White and I was told that I did not read the contract information...I don't remember seeing anything stating they would go in my bank account and withdraw money without prior knowledge.

This company should be put out of business and not be allowed to start up anyother type business.

Everyone who has been ripped off by this company, should bome together and file a law suit against this company. We should receive our money back along with extra funds for the pain and suffering caused by the mental anguish trying to get the account cancelled and money returned.

If everyone agrees, then post your feelings on the complaint board, which seems to be getting larger by the day.

Thank you

Betty Sanders

Ivory White Free trial, not free!

I signed up for a trial offer of the Ivory White Teeth Whitening System. I was to be charged for shipping for the trial product only. I received the trial offer but also another package. I tried the trial and it burned my gums. I called the company and they explained it was the first of a monthly order and I needed to return the other package. They gave me a number to write on the outside of the package. I also made sure that this was canceled and stressed that no more charges were to be made to my checking account. I returned it the very next day in the original package with the number written in big print. However, my bank statement showed a charge of $78.41. I called and they told me that the package had arrived damaged. This constitutes mail fraud because they should have sent the damaged product back to me or in some way contacted me. I never signed up to have the product shipped to me to begin with. I only ordered the trial sample. Their customer service is very rude. I now have initiated a complaint with the Postal Service, my bank, Colorado's attorney general and anyone else I can think of. I am sending this onto Bill O'Reilly of Fox News. The state of Colorado should be very embarrassed that they have a company like this doing business in their state. It is a fraudulent company and is tricking people in order to scam them out of their bank account information. People beware!

In an effort to allow my kids to complete a survey from Wal Mart for a prize, there were directed to a site that implied they had to accpet one of the many free offers to qualify, one of them being an Ivory White offer to get a sample for $1. I reluctantly submitted the payment and then tried to follow the instructions to cancel the recurring fee and found out that in order to cancel the order, I had to pay to have the product shipped back within 10 days. Unfortunately, we were out of town and weren't able to do this so got charged an outrageous amount of money as a result.

I agreed to a 8 day trial period to sample the product for teeth whitening( which I was interested in).

My order was placed 7/25/10, I had 8 days to try the product. The shipping took four days to reach me.

They used 4 of my days for the free trial with the shipping.

They debited my account for almost $80.00 and I called them twice to get this removed. They would not budge at all.

I somehow got sent a free trial Ivory White teeth whitening product. I was going to try some free products but I cancelled it and recieved their product anyway. I tried it for three days and called in on Sunday to cancel. They had a cancel service by pushing #1 on the telephone. An anamated voice then told me that I was going to be charged $20 for their "free trial"

Got Scammed by IvoryWhite. Obvious play on words Ivory to think it's a legitimate company. It is not! You sign up for a free sample and pay 1.00 for shipping. In a few days your account is charged 78k dollars and change. They will Not take it off. Very hard for someone like me who lives on a fixed income and that was my grocery money.

Do Not Be Scammed by IVORYWHITE.

I cancelled my trial within the time limit, but didn't get a confirmation email or anything, so they charged me the full $78.41 the next day on my card. I actually though I had more time because the email they sent out was dated 11/11/09, but I was rudely told that my order date was actually 11/9/09. When I pointed out that I did what I was supposed to do within the time alloted (even though I thought I was early), she got very beligerant and flat refused to let me speak to a supervisor. I pointed out that I should at least get it for the $20 they offer on the phone, but she was so hateful, I just decided to cut my losses and get out. I have a confirmation email that it's cancelled, so hopefully, I won't be charged again, but this is absolutely a scam. They get you w/the fine print, then mislead you about the cut off date.

This company has the perfect scam. They offer a trial for $1 (one dollar) and then 8 days later they charge you for a full 30 day supply at $78.41 (seventy eight dollars and forty one cents). The scam is that you don't get your trial pack. When you call to tell them you have not received it they indicate that it was delivered on a certain day (within the 8 day window) and that you should have received it and now a claim must be filed. So basically at this point you are out $79.41. GREAT SCAM

I had ordered the "sample" whitening system for $5.00. After receiving it and using the sample I decided I did not want to continue receiving the product. I mailed the product back in the box that it came in. The product had been unopened as it stated it had to be in order to return it. I did so within the allotted amount of time. To my surprise, a charge of $19.60 showed up on my checking account that I was unaware of. I have talked to two or three different customer representatives and have been told that I cannot have this $19.60 refunded to my account. I have asked to speak with their supervisors but have been told the same thing. I have filed a complaint with the BBB but do not know if it will do any good. This is crazy.

I ordered Sample for $1.00 Then a charge of $78.41 charged on my acct. which caused 2 other over draft fees in my acct. I begged them to refund me the total as I would send back the unopened product and they refused only agreeing to credit me $45.00. That would not reverse the over draft fees only complete refund would they refused to help

'Get An Ivory White Smile Today Only: $1.00 for S&H!' That's what pulled me into to this sleazy company. Days later I received my 'FREE TRIAL' along with a full tooth whitening system that I DID NOT ORDER. I called the company and told them that I did NOT order this. They said to call by the 15th of January. She didn't say why. So I mailed the Tooth Whitening System back to them a few days after I received it. I thought that that would be the end of it. Mailing the package cost about $6.00.

Today, the 19th, I was looking at my Checking Acct. and saw a charge of $78.41! So I called the company again asking them what this was all about. Even though I sent the tooth whitening system back to them, they said that there was nothing that I could do because I didn't call them by the 15th and get an RA#. They did however say they could mail the product back to me!

First of all, I did NOT ask for a full tooth whitening system. I paid $1.00 for the 'FREE TRIAL' and nothing else. Second, I had to PAY to mail their product BACK to them, the product that I did NOT ask for. And third, the customer service rep. I spoke with had no compassion, whatsoever, to my dilema.

I live on a fixed income and work only 10 hours a week. Now that this $78.41 has been taken out my Checking Acct. my rent check will bounce and I will have additional charges from the bank.

These are unacceptable business practices. Very deceptive and extremely unfair. Especially when I've mailed the product back.

This is causing such stress.

I too was doing a survey and signed up for the "free" trial of Ivory White. It was an 8-day trial, but of course if you don't cancel in 8 days they charge you. I was charged $190 and couldn't get a refund. I of course was welcome to return the product, but would not get a refund. Being the monthly product arrived 8 days after my trail period tells me they shipped and set up charges to be processed prior to the 8 days being up. They tell me because it states in the Terms and Conditions that I will be charged if I don't cancel within the 8 days, I have no recourse for a refund. Those who are only out $80 are lucky. They got me for $190!

I ordered the 1.00 free trial for the teeth whiteneing tray about a month ago, only to find out that $78.41 was debited fro m my account without authorizing it.Yes I authorized the 1.00 debit from my card.So I called the credit card company and they said there was a hold on my account for $78.41 and that I could not yet file charges because this was still pending on my account.SCAM SCAM SCAM.I found out that I was not alone. So when I look this up there is a big thing on internet explorer saying Ivory White is a scam.If this is a scam how are these people still in business? Hello,

I recently purchased an item from a company called Ivory White and when I returned the unused package within the time frame stipulated I was charged 28 dls for a restocking fee. They claim the package was crushed. I doubt this could have happened since I returned it in the original packaging and inside a mailing box with newspaper. I feel this is a way to charge customers who do not want to continue with their services, which leaves them helpless.

I feel this fee is very high, it is 35% of the actual product cost. When I spoke to the customer service manager she was remiss. I feel this is an absurd charge and feel I need to report this incident to your office.
