This service makes lots of promises but doesnt keep them. They take you money and never call back. They always have an excuse or they lie. They promise 3

Dates and I only had 2 amd they were

Awful. The potential men were not even close to what I discussed with them. I put my account on hold and fhey said they would refund my money of $300. The paper work came with the wrong amount so I reported them to the bbb they some how got out of it. These are ruthless people please help me

It's Just Lunch [IJL] Professional match making

This company is a total scam. There is no actual match making… you get matched with whatever sucker fell for their scam regardless if they are within your MANDATORY PREFERENCES OR NOT. You sign up for a certain number of dates the more you pay the more potential matches that you will receive. However, if you choose not to date somebody that they have picked for you, it goes against your allowance and basically you lose that date. I personally signed up for a 12 date package and have only agreed to one day and eight of my dates have been forfeited because the men are literally completely outside. Y guidelines. They are way older than I agree to, out of shape, nothing I would even consider dating… it has been over a year that I have been enrolled and with only four dates remaining. I will be lucky if I ever actually had a real date for my $3000 investment.

It's Just Lunch [IJL] It’s Just Lunch is poor matchmaking service.

IJL is extremely disappointing — from poor communication and a frustrating process to apparent inability to offer high-caliber matches. Either the coordinators don’t understand “sophisticated and worldly” or their pool of people is too limited. In any case, several recommendations and 6+ month later, none have met the most basic of my requirements. Please, heed this warning and save your money and time.

It's Just Lunch [IJL] All these photos of good-looking women are bait-and-switch

They use all kinds of tricks at the selling ceremony. Once you’ve been lured into this con, they show their real face. I decided to use a platform that has been time-tested: J4Date.club

A couple of my friends met their partners there and guess what? I got very lucky, met my beautiful Maria and we joined all these happy couples! Things are so simple and stress-free there! There are so many stunning women to choose from. All of them are genuine in their desire to find their life partners. Many of them contact you first. It’s as easy as ABC. If you have basic skills in communication with women, success is guaranteed. And no, you don’t have to pay $6000 for this! ItsJustLunch “service” is ridiculously overpriced. Even if they had had more real profiles, it would have still be an insane price to pay for what? For a date with a stranger? With no regard to your search criteria? No way!

It's Just Lunch [IJL] Fraudulent claims in their service, want refund

I spoke with Kate V. at It's Just Lunch for the first time on Jan. 20, 2022, which was only 7 days ago. She made claims about their service that were false and fraudulent. She used extreme persuasion tactics to get me to agree to using their service, and I paid them $3,400, which was processed on Sat., Jan. 22. I could tell within 2 days of working with them that their claims about their service, the number of candidates they had, and the distance from me was fraudulent, and wrote to her on Weds., Jan. 26 to say this service is not what was described or promised, and that I want to cancel. She has passed my message off to someone who is not being responsive at all. They spent only 4 days at most doing any work for me, and I am happy to pay them a fair amount for those 4 days. At that point they had my money for less than 4 days, and I should absolutely be able to get out of this fraudulent service. I may go so far as to say this service is a scam. And they are scamming vulnerable people like me, whose husband passed away 20 months ago.

Please help me by requiring them to cancel this service and refund my money, minus a 4-day fee for any work they did. I attached my transaction record of the payment. Thank you.

Desired outcome: Refund of my $3,400, minus a reasonable charge for 4 days of work.

It's Just Lunch [IJL] Date Matching Service

I signed on with Its Just Lunch on May 2021. The consultant was not even concerned with my "well being" of finding someone at all and are only interested in me making the signing up with them. But since It is in Singapore and that quite popular in Singapore., I decided to give it a try. However soon after i realized that it was nothing but a scam!

Its January 2021 and I have had by far not a single dates after calling them and reminding them almost countless of times. I have not had the profile which I had asked for. Although they had introduced some "Suitable" candidates but none of them fit my criteria, but just simply some dates that are trying to get a quick catch up in life. They were completely, from their profiles, far from being close to my criteria and having no any potential at all.

It seems like these people are only interested in taking your money and its not cheap! They are not at all interested in your well being and will only offer you any dates which they can possibly get on hands on in regardless of whether it fits or not.

Desired outcome: Find a suitable date for me, please

It's Just Lunch [IJL] Refund request for fraud

I am here to request a full refund for the following reasons:
1. No communication received for a month now
2. Prior communication informed me that they were having staff issues and no bandwidth to cover all clients. They told me they were having a meeting to discuss and would get back to me. As mentioned on #1, no communication received.

I no longer want to participate in a program were people call you every day until they sign you up and you pay, and then totally forget about you.

I do not want to issue a complaint to the BBB but I will if my $2800 are not refunded within the week (by Nov 5th). And I will literally disclose names and emails.

It's Just Lunch [IJL] Lack of service

I was cold called for about 5 years straight by this group.
Finally I decided to trust them and they insisted I pay and sign a contract within 3 days.
Then it was a hurry to meet my dating coach.
Who I have spoken 3 times. My initial sign up then briefly 2 other times.
I heard that I can use my membership in another state and I will get pep talks before the date ect...
I have e mailed multiple people and have called at least 6 times. No acknowledgement.
No new dates no response to anything.
Extremely disappointed.

It's Just Lunch [IJL] dating agency in singapore

It's Just Lunch Singapore is just a scam. I am a French man, 38, paid SGD1, 700 for 3 month trial in 2017.
Low-end dates (I guess their data base is just empty and mainly desperate people who don't know how to use a dating apps or a PC for free), bad quality service, inconvenient locations that they will chose for you (with kickback obviously).
In 3 months, they were able to organize 5 blind dates (the description of the prospective dates were inaccurate, misleading with wrong information) with the worst people I have ever met (even for free on Tinder you will get far better).
At the end of the day, each date costed me SGD360 for what was just a scam if not even fake dates.
We should sue them and launch a group action after having met and read dozen of people who have been cheated as well.
Just run away, don't trust this desperate and obviously, broke, dating agency.

Nothing more than a lie, a scam and very poor service. Luckily I was able to informed many single friends not to fall into this trap! Myself, too late, I lost SGD1, 700. If someone wants to discuss and assess how to sue this company, please contact me. Glad to share lawyer fees and hopefully save people from losing so much money going forward.

It's Just Lunch [IJL] solitating tactics

They call you regularly with tactics such as "Hi, Francesca here. I have great news! Call me back. [protected]. " 10 yrs after I inquired. Then when I called to cancel they were still proding for my status and debating on my request to be removed from their list. Franny hung up on me. Hummm.. I would imagine she gets a lot of those calls. I would not recommend this service. I gather they get paid on commission thus the pushy, tricky tactics.

It's Just Lunch [IJL] Dating

This company is a scam. Their customer service is horrible. They never listen to any of your needs. Their male dates are not prescreened. Most of mine stated they received a free date to try on me. They clearly do not have enough people, but they is not what they share up front. They even requested I go on a date to meet someone in the evening near the county jail. The representative told me they don't have any restaurant agreements near me. All dates were a minimum of over 30 minutes away with no traffic. My "stylish" date showed up with a belly over his pants and popping buttons on his shirt. Then had two drinks before I arrived, and 4 more on the date. One brought a dog and was over 15 minutes late. Many restaurant partners could not find the reservation. One date had dinner before the planned dinner date. The waiter brought me bread. I think he felt bad. My last one quizzed me on plastic surgery and hair extensions. Clearly high quality individuals. The owner should be embarrassed.

It's Just Lunch [IJL] Unethical deliverance of service

I signed on with Its Just Lunch on March 2016. The consultant Prab was so concerned with my "well being" of finding someone intially and thereafter i realised that it was all a scam!

Its November 2016 and I have had by far 2 dates after calling them and reminding them both times. I have not had the profile which I had asked for and the 2 dates were far from any potential at all.

It seems like these people are only interested in taking your money and its not cheap! They are not at all interested in your well being and will not offer you any dates unless you call them and nag at them constantly

It's Just Lunch [IJL] Very Rude Service and Refusal to give Refund

I started receiving phone calls from It’s Just Lunch in February 2016. They advertise their company as a personalized matchmaker and during the initial sales calls I was contacted numerable times by a very lively Representative. She told me there were plenty of men just waiting for dates and I would NEVER have to spend another “Date Night” alone again if I didn’t want too. However, at no time during her sales pitch did she explain their excepted 3-Day Refund Policy, but that it would be used to complete paperwork. Should you have a problem after that time, the company DOES NOT OFFER REFUNDS!

Prior to making the decision as to whether I would agree to the terms of “It’s Just Lunch, “ the Representative spent a significant amount of time on the phone with me boasting about the company’s outstanding dating ratings and the wonderful service they provided. During one conversation the Representative read a note she claims to have just received from “recent clients” who married and was writing to share their exciting news of their “New Arrival.” Evidently they were expecting a baby. How exciting! Immediately following this conversation the Representative eagerly told me she already had someone perfect in mind for me and could not wait to send this information to me. I signed the paperwork very soon thereafter and completed all that was asked of me by the end of the day.

Immediately a biography of a male client was emailed to me. I called the Dating Coordinator right away to let her know that I would gladly accept a lunch/dinner with him. Unfortunately with each call I made; I only received her voicemail. It stated I should leave a message and she would respond within 24 hours! For my $2, 000 I wanted to speak with a REAL person and not leave a message in hopes someone would eventually return my call when she finally decided to get around to it. I found her voice mail to be totally unacceptable.

After sending a very angry email regarding my unanswered phone call to those I had previous contact with, I requested a refund. At 7 pm that evening I finally received a return call from my Dating Director; I started our conversation by letting her know I was very angry. I stated I felt her voicemail was unacceptable and let her know I felt it was her responsibility to stay in touch with me on a regular basis. I also reminded her that prior to signing my agreement I was reassured I would receive the same kind of regular calls throughout out our contact. Evidently, this is supposed to be part of their service and my Dating Director was not fulfilling her duties.
I then inquired about the "Male Biography" sent to me. I was told he never responded, so I told my Dating Director to please send me a biography of someone else. I was informed that finding another match could take 2-3 weeks before possibly finding someone else.

At first I thought she was joking, but unfortunately she was VERY serious. I was disgusted, especially when you consider this is not what I was told by the Sales Representative who spent several days telling me of all the quality people they have readily available for dating. I let my Dating Director know I found it odd that prior signing up, the company was confident they had a match that would be perfect for me. But now that their original match had not responded; finding a replacement date would require 2-3 weeks!

I felt so dissatisfied by the way I had been treated and blatantly lied to; I contacted my bank to dispute the charges. While my case in Arbitration I received several calls from an extremely rude, obnoxious employee. She was comfortable speaking down to me. During one call from my son, she told him; "I don't have to talk to you” and hung up on him. Moments later I called and she attempted to spend the entire time yelling at me until I made it clear I would no longer accept being spoken to that way.
My case was in Arbitration for 3 months, but sadly I did not win. I absolutely want nothing to do with this company so I offered to pay a prorated fee for the few days we exchanged conversation and even though I NEVER went on a single date. I was told by someone in an even higher position they would not accept my offer of a prorated fee because It's Just Lunch NEVER gives refunds!

I find it very sad that a company would not hesitate to tell Clients they NEVER give a refund. Just what does this say about them? They are a scam. Also, while reviewing a YouTube message from: Director of Operations Krista White/ [protected] ext. 301 She states they place their clients first. I looked into this only to discover Krista White is no longer an employee. This video should have been pulled the day she left her position.

The action of this company is beyond deceitful. I have been lied to, Ignored, Spoken to in a very rude manner as well as Yelled at. I’ve had an employee rudely tell me; “That’s just the way it is and you’ll have to except it” in addition to many other undignified dealings. I honestly believe I am entitled to a refund; especially when you consider the standard practice of those offering a service/merchandise is to satisfy the customer. However, this company has made it perfectly clear they will not offer any type of refund under any circumstances.

DO NOT waste your money on the belief that this company will assist you with finding professional dates.

It's Just Lunch [IJL] SCAM! Horrible Customer Service and Lack of Willingness to Work With Me

My dispute against It's Just Lunch is based on the blatant lies and atrocious Customer Service. But most importantly, I was told last week by Debbie H. @ Corporate that It's Just Lunch NEVER gives REFUNDS! This company is a very expensive scam, don't get suckered into it. Also, be sure to check out the BBB, you will be shocked!

It's Just Lunch [IJL] Matchmaking service

I paid 3500 dollars for a matching making service and they haven't delivered anything they promised. I have been on 2 dates that were not like anything I described and then never heard from them again! They didn't disclose that they set it up so I have to pay for my own dates either or I never would have joined. I have been a member approximately 3 months. I wold like a refund of my money in full.

It's Just Lunch [IJL] The most expensive waste of money I have ever spent

Despite having to repeat numerous interviews to numerous counselors(which I was told wouldn't happen but kept happening) and promises made, the matches were jokes and the service horrendous. Half the time, who ever called me didn't even have the right information about me. I kept asking, begging, for the extra $800 dollars I spent on top if the $1000 I had already wasted, to be returned, but of course it is buyer beware, I was left with not a leg to stand on. Please save your money and use it to go on single cruises. Your chances of meeting someone are so much better, and at least you will have something to show for your money even if you don't find someone.

It's Just Lunch [IJL] Horrible matchmaking

This is the letter i wrote to the business after my awful experience! I truly wish i'd looked around before i threw my money away.

First of all let me say, i was quite excited to use this service. Sheila made it sound great over the phone. But what i experienced made this whole thing a huge disappointment. I went on a date with john on august 28th and it was a waste of time and money.

In my initial conversation with sheila, she asked me about ethnicity and i was honest in saying i want a caucasian man. I said to her (And sheri on facetime, at our coaching session) that my parents opinion on who i dated was important to me and as such, caucasian needed to be at the top of the list. In seeing john's pictures, i was unsure as to his ethnicity and didn't know he was middle-eastern until sheri said so, the day before the date. I was completely surprised by this, but i had already committed. I felt it was better to go ahead than to cancel at the last minute; i didn't want to be rude. This is also totally unacceptable. I told two separate people what i wanted and it seems as though no one paid any attention to me. Then you pulled someone who hasn't been a part of this program in two years just to fulfill your part of the contract. Totally unacceptable!

When i spoke with shelia, i made sure to ask if there was an even amount of men and women signing up for this service. She said yes, for the most part, it is equal. She said sometimes you might contact someone who's membership has just expired, but that was rare as there were enough people to potentially pair from. In speaking to john, he said his membership had been expired for closer to two years! This is totally unacceptable! He's no longer in a stage of his life where this service would be beneficial to him. Instead of talking about finding 'the one', he talked about how he wanted to quit his job, move to italy, and work on a farm. That is not even remotely close to what i'm looking for and can't believe someone thought this might be a good match. Additionally, he said he didn't even get pictures of me. How can anyone go into this blind?

Now, i understand, this service cannot guarantee love or even chemistry. I did not go into this date thinking it was going to be the best thing in my life and we were going to run off and get married. But, john was on a cleanse! Shelia and i spoke about health and exercising and how important it is to me (It's not that important); i imagine whoever spoke with john, however long ago, got a feel for that with him as well. But again, whoever he was two years ago and who he is now... It was ridiculous. He didn't even want to be at the restaurant your service chose and made me feel quite uncomfortable. Due to his cleanse, he didn't even have a drink; we ordered food, but i felt like he was judging me with every bite i took. At different points i found john to be insincere and arrogant. And at the end of the date, he seemed like he couldn't get away fast enough. And this is after he was late and used his phone at different points during the 'meal'.

This is without doubt the worst dating experience i've ever had. I will give your service a bad review on any and every site i can find, but that really can't matter to you. It's Just Lunch [IJL] Bad service, does not honor their contract

I signed up for It's Just Lunch (IJL) on 4/22/15 for $5200/year. I was promised personalized matching services, quality matches and guaranteed dates. They boast of 23 years of successful matchmaking and have matched hundreds of thousands of single professionals. In the 3 months since I signed up, I have been on one date and he did not meet all of my criteria. I went on the date anyway since I had already waited 2 months for a date. Other matches have somehow "fallen through". I have to call IJL every week to ask them if they have matched me with anyone else. Phone calls do not get returned. When I threatened to quit, they will then return the phone call. My matchmaker is always in a meeting but when I complain to the junior staff, somehow the matchmaker gets pulled out of the "meeting" and is able to speak with me. On 7/13/15, I said I was unhappy with the service since another "perfect match" fell through because the male I was matched to decided to "hold" his contract and not go on further dates. I requested a refund on the remainder of my contract less a $200 interviewing fee. Sarah, the Operations manager and my matchmaker refused. In the contract, it states that, "If, despite IJL's efforts, IJL is unable to provide Client with introductions as agreed to under client's membership, then at IJL's election, all remaining monies will be refunded on a pro-rated basis, less a $200 interview processing charge. I feel that they have not upheld their end of the contract and would like my money back. I asked to speak with Sarah's supervisor, she said there is no-one else who can help me. I wanted to speak with the owner of IJL San Francisco but she said she is the person. However, looking at the website, it looks like Amy Brinkman is the franchise owner of the San Francisco site. I feel that I have wasted 3 months of my life with this company and would like to move on.

It's Just Lunch [IJL] Unprofessional dating services companies

If I had seen this page that so many complaints about it's just Lunch Singapore.

I buy package & they keep giving me dates out of parameter & they put my membership on courtesy hold a few times.

Now they want to refund the remains unused dates & deduct $800( their so called administration fee) this administration too ridiculous. Would like to know anyone else not happy with it's just lunch Singapore. We can combine our money to sue the company. Pls email to me [protected]@gmail.com
