iTOK Double Billing unauthorized credit card billing

Every time I called, the department you are calling is currently closed. I opted other choices and got bounced around and on hold many times 9/16/15 credit card ln ITOK.net 866-515-4865UT [protected] and again same except [protected]
Same day and each charged 149.00
I would like them to refund my money for both charges as I have since found there was a major fraud alert and it is a Scam Company
I am an elderly woman with major health issues and feel like they were thinking I was an easy target. Guess I was.

Reviewer11218,

I am a customer service representative for iTOK technical support and would be happy to look into this situation for you. I can assure you that iTOK is a credited company with the Better Business Bureau and has been in business since 2004. Our corporate headquarters is located in Lehi, Utah and we are 100% based out of the United States.
Based on the information you have given, I was unable to locate the membership you started. If you would be so kind to contact us again at [protected], and select option 3 and sub option 1 for the billing department, we will be happy to investigate further into this situation for you and come to a resolution. If we find that the charge of $149.00 was in fact double processed, we will be more than happy to issue a refund for you. Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us in regards to this matter.

Sincerely,
Derek P.

iTOK Fraud

I contacted this company on 11/20/2013 to help fix a problem that I was having with my computer. After 8 straight hours of them being in control of my computer they finally had it running again or at least it appeared to be. The next day i noted that There were other areas now of my computer that were not working properly. I contacted them again and for the next 15 days they were in control of my computer uninstalling and re-installing various drivers and downloads trying to fix the problems that were now affecting the operation of my computer. They finally stated that they had no idea what had happened and that they couldn't fix the problem.I took the computer to a repair company in town and within 3 hours they had the problem addressed and fixed. iTok had totally messed up my computer with one of their anti viruses called (something Platinum)? The techs working for this company are very lame in their knowledge of computers and will tell you that they are all experts. do not trust this company at all.

I called windstream my provider to unstick an email. unbeknownst to me I was forwarded to iTOK. I got the song and dance for $189 plus the virus protection at $20 a mo. I spoke to 4 or 5 tech guys and was on the phone 6 hours over 3 days. My charge card finally got the money stopped but my computer is still a mess. They removed my windows live email and put in the windstream email and all my contacts were lost. My home page changes all the time. My question is what do I do to fix my email and contacts. They tried for 6 hours at least and gave up. They transferred me to their micro soft ware and the line went dead. I finally got a real windstream tech and he said I was scammed. The first operator rerouted me to iTOK. I don't know if windstream is aware of this but I need to get my email fixed by whom I don't know and who will pay the bill. The last guy Said Microsoft will probably have to redo it...$$$$...They had my credit card number (now stopped) and remote control of my computer all the time. I was really a sucker. Any suggestions how I can get out of this. Windstream never answers the phone. I sent an email today but I probably wasted my time. Any help would be great...Merry Christmas

iTOK Lost all files

ITOK, net called me 5 minutes after I provided feedback to XFINITY COMCAST about a technical issue Comcast support was unable to resolve on my computer,

The ITOK sales person claim my issue could be resolve with a tune up and new anti virus and spyware installation, The charge to my credit card was $149.95 for my desktop and 69.95 for my laptop. Dillon (customer service) agreed finally to remove all charges in about 10 days. I do not believe him and the email I requested as confirmation does not state removal of all charges.

After 10 days and 5 techs and 3 managers’ intervention, my desktop computer is ruined beyond repair.

1. ALL FILES HAVE BEEN RENAMED TO FILE001, FILE002….ETC. OVER 300 FILES WERE LOST.
2, ALL MY FOLDERS AND DIRECTORIES ARE GONE,
3. NORTON SECURITY WAS REMOVED. AND BENDER INSTALLED
4, I AM RETIRED WITH A MAJOR MEDICAL ISSUES. THE STRESS HAS MADE MY MEDICAL ISSUES WORST.
5, I DO TYPING FOR STUDENTS, QUICKBOOKS FOR BUSINESSES, AND LETTERS, PROPOSALS, ETC. TO NAME A FEW. ALL IS LOST.
6. I CAN NOT GET ON MY DESKTOP BECAUSE THERE IS A PASSWORD AND MICROSOFT WANTS $99 TO FIX IT. I WAS DIRECTED TO MS BY COMCAST.
7. ITOK, net needs to do more the refund. I demand to be made whole.

iTOK Fix computer problem

without my knowledge I was charged $239.99 for a yearly fee for spy ware. I was told I would still be charged from $100 and up for a hard problem. Now that they have my money they won't return my phone calls. At first it was like talking to a different company I hate to see what happens today when I cancel them all together.

iTOK Scam-fraud-

I was trying to get help from my cable company and some how ITOK< INC got involved. I never contacted their website and I believed I was dealing with my cable company. After they got finished working on my computer they said it was repaired but the next day when I signed on IT WAS NOT FIXED the tech that was helping me told me I had three days to cancel this program if not happy with the results So the day after I called and tried to cancel but was told I could not and the female I spoke with was very rude. I have been getting bills on my credit card for $189, 97 which I REFUSE to pay I had to have a tech come to my house and he said no one could have repaired my computer as I needed a new monitor So I went and bought a new monitor and my problem has been solved. I am 82 years old and have a heart condition and do not need this aggravation You can have my credit card company send me all the bills you want but as long as I can breath you will NEVER get a cent from me. I am going to notify the BBB here in MA. Please do not send any more bills as you are wasting your time. thank youi

iTOK never ending headache

Never ending headaches from a fix and repair scam. As previously stated in initial complaint, they don't fix and repair, they erase everything. Trying to replace all programs that they erased has been expensive. Their biggest selling point is why buy a new computer! By the time I am done replacing everything they erased, I could have bought 3 computers by now.

Be afraid...be very afraid of this company.

believe it or not... all I had to do was delete my browser history and do a defrag and all would of been fine, but oh no wait... Itok said my computer was ready to self destruct...BS... my Internet provider referred me to Itok for the fix... no fix... they just delete everything. My internet provider no longer uses Itok... they figured out how to get the money for themselves... imagine that.
A bunch of wet nose college suits trying to out do and out smart each other behind the scenes and really don't give jack squat who they hurt or rob in the process... They took so much away from me when they erased 10 years. Oh... the computer is still up and running and contains over a million files I have no access to... this was a rape!

This company is a scam, the diagnostic techs are not certified they are all sales reps they tell the sales reps to push to say its a virus or corruptions and use superantispyware as a program to say something is wrong when the program will show just even cookies! Biggest scam artist company yet! I would love to see the companies qualifications if they had any and im sure they dont even know what that means!

I'm a freelance tech, and was offered the opportunity to do remote work by iTOK. They pay their techs $18 per incident, with the comment that most techs can do two calls per hour. So, of course, the incentive is to "get 'em done and move on". I wanted nothing to do with them. They list outrageous charges, and no responsible tech would ever work for someone who charges those fees, pays so little, and can't provide on site support if/when things can't be resolved over the phone - which is fairly often.
If you have an infection with a rootkit that's interfering with your ability to go online, how can you fix it remotely? If the system is so slow that it takes ten minutes to boot up, if the hard drive is failing, if the power supply went, if the memory is bad, how can it be fixed without being there?
The whole thing sounds like a big scam, and that's coming from a professional with 20 years of experience.

iTOK Raped

I feel violated. A simple e mail problem ended up in hours and hours than several weeks only to have an in house computer wizard come to my house and strip my computer of everything. I feel like I have been raped. Itok doesn't fix or help, they strip and delete and say it is fixed. Now I have sleepless nights because they were allowed in my space by my stupidity. Since they stripped my computer and said it was back to factory made... it has ghost pop-ups now of it's former self, which scares me... are they still attached? As far as their staff goes, it is like all these computer geeks trying to top each other and no one communicates with the other on what they tried to destroy. Beware people. I have been totally sick (physically) from dealing with this company. There is no peace of mind dealing with this computer fix company. They violate, rape and destroy.

Okay, I am back! Since the wonderful people at itok.net fixed (ha-ha) my computer, I went to capture my digital camera stuff... ha-ha! Well, I had to send away for the CD-Rom for the program they fixed (deleted) but oh wait, they RESTORE! It cost me another $50.00 and about 4 hours to get back to where I originally had stuff on my computer for my digital camera. Like I said, they don't fix, they rape, violate and strip your computer of everything you had and say they fixed it. I have struggled to repair my computer on my own and I am doing it a little at a time and I am learning as I go. I am putting back on my computer everything they destroyed. ITOK DOES NOT FIX, THEY DELETE AND SAY IT'S FIXED! I had to use my search engine a lot to find files that were missing in a program. Well, I have to give itok one thumbs up because their restore file was there but they never finished the process of initializing it. When I tried to install the software, it told me I was missing a certain system ... example: 61883.sys, so I did a search on my puter and it turned up like 20 files, backup (on my own and such) but I picked the itokrestore and finally (like I said after 4 hours and a whole bunch of other not initialized .sys I got the program running. I'm still not done because the software still doesn't operate properly (won't recognize ports, drivers) but I could use another movie media file and it was a go. I think if you are computer savy (which I am not and have no bones about it) you will understand the process I have been doing . The point is... I will have to purchase other software that was originally on WindowsXP not to mention others I installed and used. A lot of what itok.net manipulated with was the WINDOWS ServicePacks/i386... They can restore after they strip but they don't have the updates that were issued by WINDOWS Service Packs. This company irritates the #$%! out of me . Oh...gee, let me give them another thumbs up for telling me they can fix my computer for less than it would be to buy a new one. After considerable kicking myself in the butt... besides the issue with the e mail problem (which was darn right illegal and I only got one month free from my provider ) the whole issue that itok.net stated "your computer is ready to explode" DUH... click the box to delete all your searches and history upon exit. It will keep your computer clean and won't get clogged up like a big turd in a toilet. A bad employee tampered with my email through my provider, and my history and search files were enormous and itok took care of me! God Bless Everyone!

oh... their 24/7 help, another beware! If you are a first time customer (fool) they will put you right through to a computer tech, but if it is a complaint, you will be on hold or given an option of a call back. Don't hold your breath. The web page at the start of the experience also says you will be contacted in 15 minutes (good luck), this is after you filled out all the info you could possibly give to make the rape of your computer an easy target, not to mention your finances and peace of mind. A fool is born every minute... I was born over 61 years ago and I guess I was caught finally!

I was looking for assistance with minor problems on my computer, called iTok and was gaurenteed a clean-up, all issues resolved. For $150.00, that also included security. I specifically asked if there were any other charges that would come about. They said the security would charge me $19.99 a month, OUTRAGOUS!. The security company has coverage for $29.99 a YEAR. The issues I had are still there, my computer runs slower, and iTok thinks I should pay them an additional $20 a month. And yes, they are serious. RIP-OFF So for my $150.00 I received a full month of frustration and aggrevation. Buyer beware!

Did you report them to the BBB of Utah. If not you really should do so. In addition, if you paid by a reputable credit card company, you should call them as soon as possible and tell them that you want to put this charge in dispute and tell them exactly what happened. This company has to be stopped. I did both of those things and the outcome was positive.

itok offered me a refund and offered to fix my computer after seeing my post on this complaint board. I did not respond to them. They are a scam and I would not have ANYTHING to do with them again. American Express handled this very well. They took the charge off of my credit card. I contacted BBB of Utah and they now have my complaint on file and are investigating it. The more they hear from consumers, the more likely itok will cease to exist. We as consumers must fight this type of fraud. Good luck to you.

iTOK Itok does not complete or start work on your computer

This company takes your credit card information in promise to repair computer problems, then in my case during the online supposed repair promised they left me on hold for an hour and never came back on the phone. Itok never ever provided me with any services as promised. They have an answer phone when you try and call them back, and a p.O. Box for a miling address. Really professional?
Itok charged my credit card when i disputed the charges due to no services rendered, itok representative lied to my bank about providing me with the service they had promised. Do not ever use this itok company as they are a total fraud, they lie and steal from the un suspecting public.
Hope fully this compliant and the others listed online will help others prior to making the mistake of trying to use itok for any thing. They are a total fraud and should be put out of business. They use several addresses so please beware...

itok.net is a complete scam! They took my money out of my bank account, installed viruses on my computer and would not refund my money or cancel my account when i asked them to. I feel I was completely taken advantage of! I had to pay a local computer expert to come in and "Actually" fix my computer and remove their software. I have disputed their charges with my bank but since itok.net is saying that they gave me the service i requested, the bank will not refund my money. These people are scammers! Please think twice before you give them access to your computer! They keep telling me every month when they take money out of my account that they are still showing me as a platinum member when I have cancelled my account every month for the last 4 months. What is WRONG with these people, they prey on innocent people who are simply computer illiterate! I really hope that if you are considering using itok.net, you will google itok.net scams and see all of the people they screwed over. Also, they are not a BBB accredited business! Check BBB.org!

To Whom It May Concern:

I too had a similar situation with "itok" ... quick to answer the phone while we are a client in need ... then after they have the credit card number and the "funds" are moved from one bank to the other; their techs do not accomplish the repairs ... in fact ... my computer actually came back on line in worse condition than it was previously. What started off as a problem with the "internet e-mail" part of the system grew to a situation whereby, after they being in control of my computer for an entire day ... the next morning, we could not even get on line ! It took a "techy friend" (over the phone) about twenty minutes to lead me through the steps to put "all" back in alignment ... (and I am slow when it comes to this stuff) ... when we were finished on the phone "everyting" functioned ! Should have imposed upon him in first place. This folks really need to be called down on their "less than adequate" way of running their business.

iTOK Computer Scam

This comany is terrible. I hired them to fix our computer after a few days the problems came right back. I called them and they said it would be an additional $80 to fix my computer. I told them forget it as I already paid $200. A few days ago they called me to get my membership fee and I told them I was not a member. It turns out they were charging me $59 every three months and I had no idea nor did I authorize these charges. My credit card company is going to dispute charges.

I concur with the consumers above about the complaints listed above. I hope that someone can do something about ITOK and their business practices. As a CEO, I realize that business have to make money. But, it is generally considered bad business practices for companies to 1) Bill without consumers knowledge or 2) Threaten consumers with harrassing calls and refusing to cancel the servces requested by consumers. ITOK just sent me an "Invoice" for payment of $179.91 (my first contact with the company in over a year) for a payments they said are due. I have records that I cancelled the service back in Sept. 2013 and ITOK kept on billing me into Oct. After I called again, and I thought because the bill never showed up on any of my credit cards that the service was finally cancelled. They apparently kept right on billing even without a credit card (which had been cancelled because of theft) and of course providing no service. I don't want, or need their services, which the rep insisted catches all virus's and that the only way to get a virus if I let them in. That was an informed thing to say.

I was furious today when the "Resolution" person offered me to "Cut the bill in half " for services I cancelled a year ago, or if I didn't pay the amount he wanted they would keep on billing me each month in addition to the current bill. The "Resolution" man, said that I could count on series harassing calls until I paid. He also said he wouldn't cancel my service until I paid the bill that I hadn't seen since Nov.. Great customer service!

iTOK Computer Fix Scam

Buyer beware...I had my computer looked at for $200. After a few days the problems all came back. I called them to complain and said that I only had five days to call and complain. It would be another $80 to fix. I passed and said I wsas not interested. It nowturns out that they were charing me a service fee of $59.97 every 3 months for service I was not using nor did I authorize this charge. My credit company is reviwing the charges and disputing it. SAVE YOUR MONEY...its a big scam and they will charge you every three months.

iTOK Itok major fraud alert (Scam company)

Wow, we Completely AGREE!

Major Fraud ALERT! ITOK is a SCAM COMPANY.

This company ITOK is a MAJOR FRAUD! ITOK IS COMPLETE SCAM FRAUD COMPANY! (Bait & Switch)

My wife found this company online while searching for a repair for our DVD Drive. The itok tech told her that they would be able to fix the drive by installing new/updated drivers once they installed "their" software to our computer & were allowed full access to our computer.

After paying them over $150 and allowing them access to our computer for over 48hrs., they installed their software & never fixed the DVD problem. Instead they claimed to have done other work & refused to refund our money.

After complaining to customer service (Justin Barrett) a refund was issued and service discontinued. However, after un-installing their software, the computer began to not function properly. The internet connection began to send billions of packets & crash. We called itok customer service to explain these new problems & they suggested sending out one of their tech's for $400+ to repair & fix all problems!

ITOK IS A SCAM! If you give them access to your computer & allow for them to install any software, they will ruin your computer & try charging you to fix the NEW PROBLEMS they create.

BUYER BEWARE, ITOK IS A BAIT & SWITCH FRAUD COMPANY!

I was talking to one of our end users which is a retired lady. She contracted ITOK to monitor her computer on a monthly basis for $20 which is some what affordable. After 3 months she was notified that she needed to start paying the premium price of $50 a month. For a retired person this is a substantial amount of money that they said that they could not pay. The tech that they were talking to said that if you don't agree to the premium service we can lock your computer which they promptly did. Now our end user has no access to her computer until a trusted tech can come out to her apartment to remove the lock out and ITOK software. If ITOK was a reputable company the would have canceled her service and that would be the end of it. ITOK showed they are not a reputable company by locking the computer of a paying customer and should not be trusted.

ITOK (Now)BASK: As a FORMER CUSTOMER: WE ARE VERY DISAPPOINTED with your service and your not ALL on the same page. We began with you in APRIL 2015 and by November 2015 We put out $244.39 that is $34.99 including the cost of a money it came $41.00 We were told we could send it in the form of a money order as we don't have a MAJOR CREDIT CARD and we never received any kind of invoice for the work they did on the computer. There was one night August 2014 WE spend from 7:00 pm until 12 am talking to 6 different operators explaining our problem over and this was crazy. We were sent a letter on September 15 2015 stating it was made out in Canadian Dollars for $34.99 and told they would prefer a major Credit Card as we told them we would be dealing with them and paying with Money Orders. We have been receiving phone calls from Bask asking "When they were going to be receiving payment from us?" We had already sent $244.39 only to find out they shredded the money orders we sent As we speak we have spoken to a few people about this including a lawyer who deals in Fraud and this is exactly what ITOK represents.

I have had nothing but excellent service from this company. I have used them for about 2-3 years now and do not have a single complaint or concern about their service. What I like is that they are available 24/7. All I have to do is call. I do not have to wait days for someone to fix the problem or take my computer anywhere to get it fixed. They have helped me through some very serious issues. I would and have recommended them to friends and no one has come back with any negative comments.

If you feel iTOK is a scam, call [protected] and ask to speak with customer service. iTOK is a fantastic tech company and has solved my mother's computer problems for more than 5 years now. (Saving me countless hours of dealing with my mother's less than apt computer skills!) Not every experience will be perfect, sometimes there is a mistake or a newer tech, but the are registered with the BBB of Utah and stand by their work. Their Platinum level plan is ONLY $35 a month FOR UNLIMITED SUPPORT, they provide excellent tech support and technology consultation.

I too have had a problem with Itok. I was having an email problem and their ad popped up. Next thing they were telling me they could clean up my computer and I should give them acess to my computer. They even asked for my password. I refused so they called on the phone and I put my password in...The n . they said they would call when they were finished. They did call and I thought all was well even tho the email problem was the same. They charged $119 for basic care and $49.99 for Member Care Diamond. with $24.99 a month recurring. The guarantee was for 5 days. They put the Itok Help Desk icon on my computer. I had to call a trusted computer guy next day to repair my computer and another $60.00 spent. Basically they removed all system restore points previous to them installing themselves. Also Itok does not appear in programs and features. My computer guy calls this sneaky and unethical. It was difficult to remove what they had done.

Itok never repaired my mother's computer. She paid for a year service. They called and said they charged her for another year of service. She told them she could not afford it and asked for a refund. They said sure. For the next 3 days they called "trying to give refund" which never happened. Then they told her they made a mistake and sent $2000 instead of 200 and asked her to western union them $1800. There was no deposits of $2000 to her account. Which she told them. Then they said it was tied up with PayPal. I told my mother that is not how PayPal works. They informed her that if she didn't western union the1800 she would never be able to use her computer again or any other! She spoke to man's "supervisor" who told her the same thing. Now since she would not send $1800 she is locked out of her computer and got no refund! She is is retired on fixed income and helping me while I go through chemotherapy for breast cancer. This is as sorry as it gets!

On 12-15-14 I went into contract with Itok Gold Plan for my Pc & Laptop computers to the tune of $659.00 This was to my understanding for 24/7 Tech Support & a 3 month clean up 4x a year. . Upon installation of their programs, my Microsoft Word disappeared. Called them back & they said, they had no idea on how that would have happened.
So one of their employees called me back & decided to load me up with Open Office Org. Free Program.
Okay, another learning curve to learn.
Now today on March 20th. (3 months later) I was contacted via email alert that my 3=month check up was due, please schedule.
So yesterday they called & the gal explained to me that this 3-mo. clean up was just that. I was having problems with playback on videos & also my Adobe elements editing program. But of course they couldn't help me with that because I only had the Gold Plan ($659) and needed a Platinum plan for another $180. WTH---she talked with her boss & came back with $149 (special offer) but it would only be good for another 24 hrs. I refused. Let them clean up my machine & I watched the whole proccess & became even more pissed. Watched them download all free programs --Malwarebytes, Bleepingcomputer.com, CC Cleaner (which I already have on my PC) . I was so upset and still am. Am afraid I'm being led up the proverbial dead end. Would like to just stop doing business with them---feel they are way over priced for no more than you get with the Gold Plan & don't want to give them another $180 to up to the Platinum plan so that I can have 24/7 tech support for any/all problems. i used to be able to defrag my own computers, but now I can't. Seems they have a block put on my computer---inquired to the gal about it, but of course she's just a front person sales rep by the sounds of her high pressure sale. Even though she said, she is not a high pressure sales person & my reply was: Sure could have fooled me!

iTOK computer fix it scam

Get on your computer and say they will fix the problems and charge you over $200.00. A day or two later the problem comes back and than they want to send a tech over to fix the problem. After having there service I started having more problems than before I signed up. Buyer beware of this group!

These complaints are just silly. Does everyone company have some problems and certainly problem sales people? Absolutely - but, ITOK is not a scam at all. Granted, I don't work for a tech company - but, I trouble-shoot people's tech problems all the time. User-idiocy is a giant issue when it comes to all electronic devices.

1) ITOK is a Tech Support company - they don't fix hardware issues - if it needs a software fix - they're you're people. So, think of that.

2) If a problem is occurring - such as malware, viruses, infections, whatever - yes unless you have their PLATINUM plan - you have to pay PER service/issue that they fix. Remember, those techs are paid, not by hour - but, by problem solved: if they don't fix it, the company is out a boatload of money due to refunds.

To Mr. Oleshot - if you are truly concerned that you cannot afford the $20 a month - there is a free anti-virus program out there called "AVG". You can download this from quite a number of reputable links. No, ITOK does NOT charge for their 90-day maintenance check-up.

3) A lot of folks - DESPITE BEING WALKED THROUGH THE INFORMATION ON THEIR OWN SCREENS - don't pay attention to the "set up fee" - yes this is where that mystical amount that is over $100 comes from. It's not fixing the first problem - it's the initial set-up of getting all of the goody software on your system and having those three people (sales, orientation and tech-support guys - three people) do their jobs. After that... $20 or $34 a month is NOTHING. $34 a month (platinum plan) for FREE TECH CARE 24/7 is a STEAL!

Now I don't know what to do. I had itok.net check my computer, which had completely died, I thought, and they brought it back to life. For three days...Then the computer started doing again what it was doing what it did when I called itok the first time. I spoke to somebody calling himself kneephi and he ended up talking me out of $150.00, then $19.99 and then $19.99 per month for eternity. My computer is running pretty good right now and I'm seriously thinking of dumping itok after reading all of the complaints. Only thing is; I now have three antivirus, antimalware, antieverything programs running that I never had before. I called itok and spoke with some young female who informed me that the anti.. programs were all proprietory programs that belong to itok and were the absolute best antivirus programs in the world. I am afraid to cancel them now because I have no doubt at all that my laptop will begin doing all of these bad things that others are reporting. I have no doubt that there is software planted on my harddrive that will activate when I cancel them and my computer will go crazy. It almost drove me nuts before when I was having all of the malfunction issues before I called itok and I cannot go through that again. My only recourse is to be prepared to purchase another computer as soon as I dump itok.
Is there anything that I can do proactively to be prepared for whatever they will do when I drop them? I am not all that much computer savvy and I can't afford what will probably happen. They got a lot of money from me before that I could not afford to lose and even though my computer is functioning fairly well now I dread what may be waiting if I drop them. The complaints that I have read here scare me a lot. You may ask why I'm thinking of dumping them if it's working o.k., and the simple answer is that I cannot afford the twenty bucks a month that my "membership" is costing and I sure cannot afford what will probably come up when I drop them. I'm supposed to get a "free" maintenance checkup in 90 days and Lord only knows what that is going to reveal and cost. Anyhow, thanks for letting me share.
BTW, I'm 70 years old, live on a small govt. retirement and social security checks and the thought of what this could cost makes my blood pressure rise through the roof.

I agree with the complaints -- I am having trouble having them fix my computer. It works for a couple of days then it starts giving me a problem and then I need to call iTOK back. Each time a different tech works on my computer - I ask them each time to read the profile so that I do not have to explain myself constantly. First a tech works on my computer then he turns it over to someone else, so on and so on. What a rip off I have so many problems with my computer now that I never had. HELP!

My first time charge was $84.98 and it was to be @$37.00 a month. What ever they did slowed the computer down till it was unusable...so i called the 800 CS # which Cat said is open 24 hours as well as weekends and holidays. I called for two days and no one ever answered so i started stripping the computer myself...i felt they were collecting information from my computer because they locked a lot of files and never even told me how to retrieve these so i lost them. i contacted them by email and although they did nothing but make my computer worse and now they won't give me my $84.98 back. I have an email from Michael O telling me they charge EVERYONE $150.00 and even tho i am disabled and deprived Michael said, "I offered to cancel your account and waive the $150.00 cancellation fee. However I also explained we would maintain the $84.98 for the work we had completed." The only work they did was break my computer worse and now refuse to correspond with me! IF YOU ARE SMART...STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM CALLED I-TOK!

I totally agree they are Rip Off Artist of the worse kind.
My $69. repair was almost $200. back in November. They wanted to sell me a yearly contract I said I would speak to my son and let them know ( I am almost 70 years old and 80% of my computer use is email)
I just got my credit card statement, they have charged $59.85 for service contract. I told them I had spoken to a man several times trying to sell me yearly contract and I declined it each time. They say they saw were I declined the yearly contract but had not opted out of the quarterly one. I Did not know there was such a thing. Hope my bank/visa can help get this removed. I feel they stole the money. My invoice for repairs does not show I approved any such contract.
Who do you think is wrong here Me or iTOK?

First off as a onsite certified technician it should only cost $69.00 to remove a virus. most of these online PC repair companys are money hungry non-techs who see PC repair as a opertunity to over charge uneducated people who dont know where to turn. your best bet is to find one local tech who comes with references. Ask your friends or family if they know a good tech. once I start with one person in a family the word spreads. A good tech will not charge you until its fixed, then exsplain what happened and how to prevent it from happening again. I have prospered by living the 'ol american way honest days pay for an honest days work.
