I have booked one ticket from NEW DELHI TO RAIPUR by Rajdhani Express vide Transaction ID : [protected] on 08th September, 2007 and cancelled the same on 12th September 2007. IRCTC has refunded me the amount by deducting the cancellation charges on 12th September 2007 but on the same date they have debited the amount whatever they have credited to me. I have lounged complaint to IRCTC and made so many correspondences but alas 7 days has been passed no response from their side after submission whatever documents they required from my side. I would be thankful if you can pass this message to our beloved Shri Laloo Prasad Yadavji - Central Railway Minister also.

I have very much bitter experience with your service providing... Am talking about BRIBE... I went to chennai Egmore to migrate my two wheeler from chennai to tirunelveli... Actual fees is 200 rs, but they collected from my extra 300 rupees as bribe.. Including labour also asking money... if we debate about this bribe money with the senior officers then they warned me to break our bike parts after i left from the place... Unwantedly i lost my 300 rupess with them... Anybody can help to dont repeat this again...

Dear sir,
As i have booked reservation tickets on couple of minutes before thru irctc online.In fact we are from 5members including 1 baby(who has been completed 11 months) are travelling from trichy to chennai on 9-may-2008 .when i have booked online there was i mentioned 4 Adult name only.Mean time i couldnt filled out my baby name((who has been completed 11 months) in reservation site.My question is it required to mention my baby name over there.since my baby has been completed 11 months only.

how to proceed in above my query.Kindly do the needful for the same.

Pl revert back to me at earliet.

Today is 05th May 2008.

I am a small travel E-ticket booking agent in a remote town of East Uttar Pradesh.

I am unable to make tickets since 3rd May-2008.

In the night of 3rd May 2008 the error on the IRCTC site was " Due to ISP problem your ticket may not be booked. We deeply regret for the inconvience caused".

However since morning of the next day, i.e. on 4th the above message has disapperred on the IRCTC site and when after putting all the details of FROM, TO, DATE, CLASS, etc. we click on Find Trains, it's giving an error " you have double clicked some options etc. etc."

In view of above I have lost good business.

On trying to contact the IRCTC, the do not pick up any call in the call centre and you keep hearing rings and after a long time of waiting and spending money on call you are hung up.

May I ask Mr. Lalu if he has any comments.

If he wants he can check all the incoming call records of $th May 2008 and he would find many calls done which were routed, put in call waiting and then hung up.

May I also request an stricter action against all involved since it caused railway loose good business from my end and may be from no. of places.

Hoping for the solution.

I have booked my tickets and fortunately forgot the password.
I have used "Forgot Password" facility and the password has been sent to my official mail id which i don't have access now. Request you to let me know how can i proceed.

I was trying to book my train tckt on 17th June frm TUNI TO HYDERABAD through online(73 tickets avail to VISAKHA EXP) & the amount was deducted from my a/c but booking was not successful. Ok leave it. I sent my syster to Secunderabd reservation counter to book the tickets by hand.. the man who was siiting at counter told that no tickets for reservation. I checked online when my syster made call and I found 60 ickets available at that time. So my syster went again to the counter & fought orally and got the tickets..

WHATS GOING ON...???
BEGGING OR CHEATING AT RAILWAYS..??

RAILWAYS CAN BEG THE PUBLIC IF THEY WANT MONEY .. DONT CHEAT THE PUBLIC.

Hi

This is with reference to the Payment Gateway facility which you have in IRCTC web site.

I would like to bring to your notice that when i try to book my tickets online and try to click on Make Payment Button, it is giving me the following error.

Online Reservation Error


This error has occured for one of the following reasons :

You have used Back/Forward/Refresh button of your Browser.
You have double clicked on any options/buttons.
You have kept the browser window idle for a long time.

I didn't do any of the reasons mentioned there... This is happening everytime i try to make payment.

I feel there is some other problem. But the message thrown is different. I myself an IT Guy and done lot of online transactions. So you can bet on me and look into the defect.

I was wondering whether this error is thrown because i was trying to book a WL ticket using e-ticketing option.

Whatever may be the reason, i just couldn't book on time and for the 1st time i'm repenting for trusting your site and ended up with NO TICKET.

Hope you will look on to the issue.

And by the way, the care centre in chennai thinks that i'm stupid. When i called them up on this issue, the guys over there said, "NO. ITS WORKING FOR ME. I JUST BOOKED TICKET FOR DELHI"

Well that's not the answer you give to your customers.

I could have very well ignored this issue and stopped using IRCTC.

But i'm taking time out and writing this mail because you guys have done a good job till date. And i don't want to judge the site with this single issue.

Ticket not purchased but amt. debited
I was booking an online ticket using IRCTC but at the time of payment the web page showed some error & the ticket was not purchased. when i checked my bank account it was debited INR 1515 twice for two transcations and the amount is still not credited into my account after 32 days of transaction. And for ticket cancelled the mail from IRCTC says that refund has been sent but my bank claims that the amount is not been sent from IRCTC to bank.

I am really frastrated with the IRCTC service. How can somebody continue to trust this service and book tickets.Day by day the service from IRCTC is becoming worst and making people feel insecure.

Sub. Complaint against wrong penalty & mental harassment

Sir,
I was trawled by train no. 6340 MUMBAI EXPRESS from KODAI ROAD TO CSTM (MUMBAI) by ticket pnr no.4400265852. My wife DINAL & son Parthik were with me. My ticket was from MADURAI JUNCTION TO MUMBAI CSTM but we changed our boarding from madurai to kodai road.
As per our ticket we boarded from kodai road in the presence of Mr. TC & vigilance officer Mr.ARNAPUTTAM.Vigillence officer Mr.Aranaputtam wished to check our E ticket & after that he asked for driving license.I submitted my driving license for checking purpose to him. Driving license was attested by honorable magistrate of Surat city. But I was shocked when he told me in roudly way that I was without ticket & he had a power to cancel my journey & also powered to call railway police to throw away my bags outside the train. Under pressure Rs. 4420.00 was paid against penalty. How he calculated penalty that we don’t know.After so many requests both officers did not give me their names & batch nos..I had original E ticket & driving license at the time of journey. Also note that after checked driving license Mr.Aranaputtam wrote my license number on penalty receipt.
So many requests did by my family & other passengers but there was no response by Mr.Arnaputtam.When I asked to TC & vigilance officer for their batch nos. & full name they didn’t give me. At EROD JUCTION they left the train like thieves & told me “We know we were wrong but we show our power to you. Now we see what you will do”
After EROD JUCTION an aged TC Mr.Mani took a charge and we asked for complaint book he told me to register my complaint at Mumbai cstm after finished my journey. So we registered it at Mumbai cstm on 12/11/2008 with Xerox copies of driving license, penalty receipt & E ticket were attached with complaint.
Also note that we saw our all papers to deputy stn.master of Mumbai cstm Mr.YADAV before submit my complaint.
I request you to refund the amount of wrong penalty. Hope for kind & prompt action.

Today I was trying to book the ticket from Ahmedabad to Jabalpur via Somnath express today 7th July, while booking the ticket amount around 369 was deducted from my bank account but could not get the ticket confirmation. After that I didn't get any message or mail etc from IRCTC. Please suggest or let me know when I will get my amount returned. My ID is rupendra99.

Subject:Possible tampering of the Tatkal seat reservation service, by irctc people

I usually have a very bad experience while using the irctc tatkal reservation service. This morning I was trying to reserve two tickets in the Tatkal quota from New Delhi to Surat. I was online at exactly 7:55 am. There were 80 seats available in the tatkal quota, and the booking time had to start at 8. At exactly 8:00 am, the website (irctc.co.in) just stopped working. There was this single page, saying "service unavailable". It resumed working at exactly 8:03 am. Within seconds, I entered the details, and found a Tatkal waiting list of 19. I am sure there is some trouble with the website maintenance department; some corrupt people selling away those tickets, in that 3 minutes time frame.

SUB:-Discrepancy in Transaction through ATM

I had booked one E-Ticket on 16’08/2010 .The amount of E-Ticket was Rs.3824.00 and made payment accordingly though ATM SBI Transaction No.POH 022860067867 IRC .


Now it is found that the above amount recovered twice by bank as shown in bank statement in ATM slip .


Please check my account statement on 16/08/2010 for transaction for e-ticket and do needful action to refund Rs. 3824.00 in, y account urgently please.

Hi All,

I tried booking a ticket for Maveli express from Calicut to Trivandrum.
I have selected Online SBI account to pay the fare. I waited for the payment to happen by poping up a booked ticket. But because of some reason after all processing i got error page. The ticket has not been booked but the amount (Rs.201) has been deducted from my account.(SBI Ref no IG35345305 for irctc transaction)

Is there a way to get back my money?
If so, please tell me how to claim.(my e-mail ID-shijilcm@gmail.com)

irctc site is not opening for the past three/four days. sometimes it is dead slow and how we could able to book/cancel an e-ticket reserved through this site.
