THEY ARE MORE CONCERNED ABOUT MAKING A DOLLAR THAN THE WELL-BEING OF THEIR EMPLOYEES AND CONSUMERS.

I worked for IPA-IBA for about 5 months. Not only are their business practises unscurupulous, unetical and borderline criminal, they also treated me like garbage. After my induction and training I started to get a feeling that this organization was not all it professed to be. The high fiving on the sales floor, the abusive mentor and the unrealistic appointments I was made to attend with unsuspecting business owners combined with the passion and adrenaline I was to constantly have while dealing with head office was totally unprofessional. Needless to say I never collected a cent for projects I landed or for my expenses. I felt sorry for the business owners they zeroed in on. Businesses that were only months from closing, family run businesses that needed real advise were drained of their last few dollars and left to go into bankrupcy.
Well they had to change their name yet again, they have hurt / ripped off as many Canadian Companies as they could under ABS IPA STA etc ...
Their are so many complaints about the many many companies that are or have been setup by the same people, they continue to rip off as many companies as they can in Canada. Google them !

I know somebody who got a job working at "IPA" which is now "ABS". They do not reimburse you for gas/phone expenses. The kid who got a job there in November just recently got his first paycheck in January. They paid him less then $500. he probably spent that the first month in gas cost alone. He always got sales, but then they tell him he has to wait to get paid until the sells go through. Two months after working they tell him his sells got cancelled but some sells are still pending and he has to wait to get paid. If he leaves the company, then he will never get paid for his sells. So now he is losing money, but afraid to leave because he thinks eventually he is going to get this huge check. He is basicly working for free and paying them to work. Sometimes he drives more then 200 miles a day to go to "scheduled appointments" that are really unschelduled. It is really sad since this kid does have a marketing degree. They recently paid for him to go to Vegas for a convention for the "top salesman" to boost his confidence...but that's nothing it your working for free.
I am considering leaving IPA (IBA in Canada). I am a SAM and I am tired of the lies and unethical tactics this company employs. The only good thing is that they pay you...sometimes. Most of the sales end up being cancelled by the company.
Now, they are changing their name!
I used this company in 2006 to restructure my family business. They did tax planning, succession planning, and estate planning. The company did a fine job with these things. However, the fees were high and were not explained in the initial process. (i.e- $20.00 per day for meals, and flights) Now that we are finished with them they call almost every week and want us to do more. Lies! Then they will send someone here and tell us they had an appointment. We just have to ignore whoever they send until they leave. Trust me...they never want to leave. I would contact your local CPA to do these services for you. It will save you time, a ton of money, and aggravation.
I completely agree that this company is questionable. They call and lie, saying "I'm calling from Dr. Jan's office and this is a personal/urgent matter for... and I need their phone number right away". They constantly call and never say what they do. Even when you hang up on them, they call back right away and says "This will knock your socks off!" You keep asking about what they do and all they keep saying is "This will knock your socks off! This will knock your socks off! This will knock your socks off!" Even one of the "managers" came into our office, lying that he had a meeting with one of our managers. Again, even in person, they do not tell you what they do. Exactly, what does this company do? Anyone know?
