Intuit / Premier Multicurrency edition / unauthorized credit card charge
I have called Intuit Canada to order 5-user licence of Premier Multicurrency edition for CAD 1319.88. I was offered a choice either to pay all at once or in 12 installments by CAD109.99 each. I’ve chosen installments.
Recently I just discovered, that we have been charged CAD109.99 each and every month since March 2007, in total 27 times in, instead of 12 - in total CAD 1649.85 over to what I believe they should.
I have called Intuit Support for explanation. I was told that I have some kind of subscription services. I have informed Intuit representatives that I DID NOT RECALL MYSELF ACCEPTING ANY ADDITIONAL PAYMENTS apart of those twelve plus once I have ordered FREE QB MC Replacement CD to fix the problems with already purchased software (shipment cost of CAD30.00 I authorized on on 30 Oct 2008).
Unfortunately, with amazing persistence Intuit's service personnel maintained that I am “happy user of subscription services” and offered to cancel "my subscription" when I asked for the PROOF of CHARGE.
Not less that five times I have asked TO PROVIDE ANY PROOF that I have authorized Intuit for anything else, but 12 installments of CAD 109.99, but even some kind of Intuit’s supervisor refused to provide single proof, instead several times offering to cancel my subscription.
Apart of financial loss, this surely damages my reputation in eyes of the owner and principal architect of our company - American architect Mr. Rudolf Dainis Smits.
Even there has been some sleek legal method to make our company pay - I want to know how Intuit made this in order to avoid such surprise in future.
I would appreciate any advice what procedures I should use to keep Intuit accountable. I have already requested my bank (Swedbank) to investigate this.
