Notice of fnma enhancement
I received a letter that is made to look like it's from an official governmental agency saying I qualify for a FNMA program to reduce my mortgage. VERY DECEPTIVE!
It is important to track this kind of deceptive information so that people do not get suckered into making moves because they believe they government is wanting them to do it.
You can see the notice I received in my attachment.
Desired outcome: Warn others of this horribly deceptive practice.
credit reporting
Family member contacted company on 5/30/17 stating they were helping qualify for a mortgage. Broker ran credit report, discussed financial profile and then handed family member entire credit file with never contacting me or getting permission.
We inquired about the transaction to only to be told that it happened due to a long standing friendship the family member had with the employee. They will reimburse for a life lock subscription only when we can prove we have paid for it in advance and will try to have the inquiry removed with no guarantees.
Dishonest
Carlos Gomez from ICG bank contacted me by phone and email saying he could help with my mortgage needs. Now I am working to buy a house but my credit is shot so I will be renting for quite some time. I emailed Carlos and told him thank you for the contact but because my score is so low (and I gave him the exact score) I am automatically not qualified for a mortgage at this time. He responds back and says yes you are not qualified for most banks, but we can finance you. I responded back and said I have heard this same song and dance before, but because my credit is xyz I dont qualify. He says we can help. So in a third attempt to get him to just cut the bull, I said look I just pulled a credit report of my own recently with all three scores. I gave him my three scores, no social and said see these are my scores, the same ones I told you in the first email. He finally responds back and says unfortunately we cant help you because your score is so low. I respond back and say yes I told you that in the first place and you insisted you could help. I'm guessing he was trying to get me to fill out an application and pull my credit, which did not happen. I just wanted him to be honest. I wonder how many other people they tell they can finance them just to get them to fill out an application. My advice is don't give out your information to this company. I also did some digging and found out their fees are outrageous even when approved. Shop around for better rates and don't let them run your credit because they say they can help when everyone else says no.
Glad I decided to do my research prior to mailing back this form to reduce my MIP from Intercontinental Capital Group. Thanks for all the complaints I can now shred this letter.

Misleading Email
I received an offical letter today from ICG concerning insurance premium changes for loans endorsed on or before May 31, 2009. After trying to weed through the several pages included with the letter, and being totally confused with the legal terms and supposedly new laws and regulations put into effect, I almost picked up the phone and called ICG to "open a case number". This letter led me to believe that there would be a change in my MIP because of new laws and regulations put into effect, little did I know it was just an advertisement to refinance my loan. This letter has upset me to the point to write this and next step will be to go to the BBB. I am bombarded every day with scams and bum deals, I can usually recognize them immediately. This one almost got me. I do not appreciate being duped. Stay away from ICG.

Before I refinanced my home, I had to research a lot of the banks and lenders that were calling me trying to solict my buisness. I spoke with a senior loan officer from ICG Home Loans (Intercontinental Capital Group, INC) and was impressed from what he was saying. I have to admit i was very skeptical when i spoke with the overly charasmatic loan officer on the phone. I received a call within seconds of submitting my inquiry online for my refinance.
