Intercargo Scam! incompetent and ambigious

i arranged an international shipping using this service, only to be told that i selected the wrong description of goods/type of cargo, therefore would have to pay a surcharge ofo £25.secondly, i received an email stating that the courier i selected does not supply to P.O BOXES and yet they gave me a quote and i paid for this service before hand. There is no information on their website to clarify their courier restrictions, like you get on similar websites., when i asked the agent that this is something the consumers ought to know before booking, he did not respond. i decided to cancel this order because i was not happy by with the ambiguity of the service.
However in order to cancel, i would also have to pay £25 as a cancellation fee. when i asked the agent for their cancellation policy, he did not respond to my email, i had to phone him on the next day only to say " he didnt know what the cancellation fee was" or where i got the imformation that their website that it doesnt mention anything about a cancellation fee. he still did not send me a copy of the company policy claiming that the website is "new".

i said i would be complaining because i wasnt satisfied with the service, intercargo are quick to take payment from consumers and yet they adjust their quote to add more fees, and cancellation fees in order to trap consumers into carrying on with their service at a higher rate. i have now reviewed some of the reviews from this company on other forums and i did not come across a single positive review. SAVE THE STRESS AND DO NOT USE!

Intercargo TERRIBLE!

Once I had an issue with their costs they refused to issue a refund.
I had to file a chargeback with my credit card company.
Shortly after I found out that my credit card number was being used to buy things that I never authorized.
I'm in the u.s. and the charges were made in u.k.
Coincidence? I don't think so.
I strongly believe that a dishonest rep from intercargo uk has used my credit card or gave the credit card info to smebody who used it.
I would strongly advise against giving these guys your credit card info! beware!

i wish i saw this review before i booked a collection with them! their website is misleading and they trap customers into paying for all these un explained hidden charges!

Intercargo Better to go for a reputable company and pay a little extra than go through the hassle

Intercargo are by far one of the worst shipping companies I have ever had the displeasure of using.

I used them to ship two flat screen TVs (air freight).

First I was promised that the delivery will take 7-10 working days from the drop-off date and boy was I wrong. Not only did they misplace my shipment in their warehouse but they also forgot to send me a packaging list to fill out which I was only notified about after 3 WEEKS of my initial drop-off.

During that period I was in constant contact with them asking what the delay was, and Luke on the other end of the line (he always answers the phone and has no clue on how the company works by the way ... completely useless) and not once was the packaging list mentioned until I spoke to a manager (Zia) who was avoiding me for days until I pinned him down! He accused me for not filling out the packaging list form, let me repeat this ... he accused me for not filling out a form that was never sent to me in the first place thus blaming me for the delay! But he compensated that by expressing the shipment after the form was emailed to me and emailed back to them as a good will gesture ... now notice the express order I mentioned just before, that also took 10 days for the TVs to arrive.

Drop-off date 23-Mar... received 26-Apr ... total delivery time 34 days

Conclusion: AVOID AT ALL COST, better to go for a reputable company and pay a little extra than go through the hassle, unprofessional, non-existent customer care, unresponsive team that is intercargo.co.uk

Never use! hidden charges added to your bill after they have already taken payment for your order! customer service is shockingly bad, they do not respond to your emails or questions asked. they will put you through alot of stress it is not work it. SCAM! i have been looking at their reviews on plenty of sites and yet to come across a positive one!

Just the most DISHONEST AND GARBAGE all round service you could actually pay for, if you want to spend (a little bit less) and then wait countless months for your partcel to vanish, go with this company, they ignore emails phones calls and just bury their heads in the sand hoping you will go away, they are pathelogical liars (if they ever answer). YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! STAY WELL AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

I have just had the worst experiance ever with Intercargo, If you want to see your goods again then do not use this company.
They do not answer your calls, do not respond to e mails.
I have now contacted BIFA in the hope they lose their accreditation of this assosiation.
Intercargo are nothing short of con men.

Intercargo Do Not Use

I used Intercargo to send 3 pieces of luggage from the UK to the US. Their service is terrible. They never respond to any emails you send them and will not give you any answers to your questions. They kept asking for a copy of my passport, which I had already sent 3 times prior. They kept telling me they cannot send my luggage without the passport copies. After finally completing paperwork, they admitted that my luggage was sent to the wrong place and was put in storage. I continually called and emailed Intercargo, but they did not do anything until a month or so after contacting them, after countless emails and international phone calls made on my part. It took me 4 MONTHS to get my luggage, when it should have taken only 2 weeks. I asked multiple times for a refund, but they did not do anything for me. I sent multiple emails to the manager, and even wrote a letter and mailed it from the US to the UK. NO RESPONSE. Overall, using Intercargo was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!

when i asked for a copy of their refund policy, the agent did not reply! i had to ring up the company several times just so i got the same agent, and yet he still did not give me the adequate answers i wanted DO NOT USE!

Intercargo delay

I contracted the company at the end of march 2011 and today Í'm still waiting for my luggage to arrive. I contract a 7-10 days service and it passed more than a month . Very poor service

Thats nothing matey.I booked 2 pallets to go to SA.They waited 8 weeks before shipping it which took an additional 6 weeks to arrive.Apparently they wait to get a whole load then ship it all at once to save their cost.When your stuff arrives missing.Then they will not resposnd to your emails.Try asking for a refund.They won't respond.ALL YOU GUYS OUT THERE HAVE BEEN WARNED.CHEAP AREN'T THEY.You think you are going to save a few bucks.Think again.You will lose much much more.Heed my advice

I never before in my life wrote complaints in internet, so this will be my first time. Because this awful company charged me 364 dollars to my credit card, didn't collect the items the day I booked and then they tried to collect it when I was absent (without my authorization), a few days later!! I had to pay another courier to ship my stuff to U.S. and they...

Intercargo Lack of service

Intercargo charged our credit card and then, despite promises to pick up packages, failed to pick them up. After numerous telephone conversations and more promises the whole company started to look like a scam so we cancelled the payment with our credit card company. The company did not return calls and did not communicate with us in a responsible manner. Do business with these people at your own risk. Do not make cash payments. If the parcels have been picked up there does not seem to be any way to track them.

my wife sent some personal stuff from kettering in the UK to South Africa, they came home to pick it up as promised and up till now we are yet to receive the luggage since the 30 Sept 2011. They promised 7-10 working days. What a waste of time. I was told they percel have not left the UK what a scam

i sent 3 x 30kilo bags to thailand from UK, it contained my x girlfriends stuff, took 2weeks, when through customers ther said its £600 tax, dont know who scaming who now, customs, my x or intercago, well i didnt send any money to clear the stuff, and there is no way to know from intercago, if goods were collected or not. what a company, never use them, today is 5th jully 2011

Intercargo.co.uk is really a disappointment and crap service. I sent two boxes from the UK to Vietnam (17Jan) and only received one so far (18 Feb). And until now (4 April), I haven't heard anything about the missing box, which contains all my valuable books I have collected in the UK (26 kg). I emailed them, called them but all I have received so far is just their ignorance. The receptionist doesn't put through to their manager since she knows I want to ask about the missing cargo. I sent them the claim form almost a month ago, but have heard nothing! I'm contacting BIFA now regarding my case and ask for compensation and just request for an investigation result. Imagine you sent your things home and half of them lost just because of the unreliable shipping service. Too much frustrated and please stay away from Intercargo.co.uk if you don't want to lose your shipping because of a silly choice!

we too are having a bad experience with Intercargo. We are trying to ship out some personal items to Niger where we work. The parcels were collected from our UK home as arranged but now it is impossible to get a straight answer out of them as to when the parcels will arrive. They said 7-10 days it has now been a month and we still have no details of how or when the parcels will be shipped. We have already paid in full and I am beginning to wonder whether we will lose our money and our personal belongings! I will never use this company again. I have just complained to BIFA so we'll see what they say...

I inadvertently left my carry on bag in the UK and a friend used Inter-Cargo to ship it back to me. It contained my lap top, a Bose headset, my IPOD and my portable Sat Nav. While in their custody they "lost" the bag and after many frantic phone calls they "rediscovered" my bag. They then sent it on to the US and when it arrived I discovered it was the wrong bag. Someone (an employee of Inter-Cargo) had sent a bag full of old journals, a fraudulent act. Needless to say I am trying to find out what happened although it is clear that my bag was stolen by an employee. What is also puzzling is that I cannot find any information on Inter-Cargo and am stone walled when I try to contact whoever is the head of customer service. Not only are they an incompetent organization I wonder if they are a front for some illegal activity.
