INTEC College lack of response

Good morning Sir / Ma’am

I am writing this email as I have not received any correspondence from you in regards to my request since last year.

I am currently busy with my Level 5 ECD studies. As I have been working a full time job last year and therefore I requested an extension in the beginning of last year. I was said to send through all relevant details ie. Marriage certificate etc. so that the process could be completed. However, since then I have had several student advisors of which none had any idea of my request or the documentation has subsequently disappeared and was again sent through. It has now been more than a year since my request, and I was told that I will have to pay penalty fees for the amount of assignments that has not been submitted.

Why should I pay those penalty fees if your department has so many movements and information is not communicated to the next person taking over?

It seems that because I am not a monthly paying student but a fully paid up student, there is no interest in assisting me in this matter.

Please may I have a senior person, that has sufficient knowledge of the INTEC systems, contact me and assist me in this regard?

INTEC College exam cancellation affecting my credit scoring

I have been calling INTEC requesting to correct and update my account, because they did not submit my request to cancel examination and was given incorrect advise by their incompetent agent, I have been dealing with different agents and with no luck I'm not receiving any assistance or feedback everytime I call, My biggest regret was choosing this Institution with poor service .How does one trust the study material received from them will be beneficial if they are failing and providing wrong information to students, I'm exhausted of calling the student centre wasting my time and my money

INTEC College unethical behaviour/registration dispute

Good Day,

To whom it may concern, I would like to lay a formal complaint, and do request it being resolved. Back in the middle of last year being 2016, I applied for Matric via Intec Correspondence College.
I spoke to an Amanda Zumba who asked me to forward all my documents as per registration as well as my deposit ( I do have proof of this payment ), I was then told that Amanda Zumba will be my student consultant.
I accepted the terms and conditions, however still till this day I have no idea what my student number is, I have not received my welcome pack with all my documentation, I should have been finished this year, Intec has wasted my time for all this months, I would like to register again for the new Matric year, however I refuse to pay the deposit again as I have done that last year with no correspondence from my so called consultant to advise me at least bout what is going on.
The other problem I have is that when I registered for this on my application form it clearly stipulates that my postal address and my residential address is different as I didn't want it going to my residential address at the time as I knew that I wouldn't be there, but Intec still failed to adhere to those instructions and sent apparently sent it to the residential address, which is not the case as I would of received those document.

I have witnesses to prove this as well as the deposit details.

I would also like to complain about your online chat, two ladies by the name of Nafisa and Vanessa advised me they would look into this matter, however they have not assisted me in providing me with the relevant information.

I do hope that this matter will be finally sorted out, as I would not like to take this matter further.

INTEC College deregistration declined

I registered in 2013 for human resource management and the following year I paid all my fee in full but fue to my demanding work I couldn't study and I cancelled my course later last year but I was told that my cancellation have been declined due to late submission of documents, I worked hard to pay those thousands and im not even getting any cent back from obtaining nothing.I have spoke to several people but they said the same things...I need my money back, you can charge me for the study material you gave me, I don't care as long as I can get my money back.

I still havent got any feedback from support about de-registration and still expected to pay the fees
I fee this is intentionally dragged so i can keep on paying, upon registration, i was kept on the loop with everything, but when cancelling, its more difficult than when registering, people dissapear and expect payments, can someone assist.

INTEC College matric registration

My sister Michelle Sibiya and I went to Intec College in Pietermaritzburg to register for her Matric re-right. We were assisted by Bongo Mkhize.

We made full payment on the 31 Jan and emailed her the proof of payment. I called her a week later to get feedback on the registration.

She informed me that she will liaise with the Cape Town team as the registration process is finalised there. she promised to return my call but did not. I called again Mid February as I was worried, she asked me to call Cape Town, I did but the redirected me back to her. Even when I insisted that they solve this as she understand Intec's internal processes better then I. She refused to call Bongo Mkhize.

I called Bongo, she kept on giving me the same excuse. At no point did she mention that there were missing documents. We had no idea that Michelle had to register at a local school. Even at registration stage I was with Michelle, I was speaking on her behalf, and we were never told that we needed to register at another school.

If she has told us we would have never registered, my mother was a teacher I would have registered her at a local school for free. We were mislead and under the impression that everything was done correctly.

Getting a refund is not going to help as Michelle would have wasted 12 months doing nothing.

INTEC College term marks 2016 not issued to college

Dear Sir / Madam

I wrote exams last year in November 2016 at Westcol in Randfontein and for some reason my term marks was not received or captured on the system. Intec has send through the term marks for 2 subjects on the same day but I have failed one since the term marks was not captured.

I have phoned Intec and Westcoll on numerous occasions to assist and Judith from Westcol did everting in her power to assist but it is Intec’s responsibility to have followed this up. I want to put this in writing myself since I have now given up on Intec totally and will never study through them again in my life.

Hermon & Lizel did try something but what I am not sure and don’t know what a mock up process mean by the department. I just feel that something must be done since I have to now re – write and re – pay for a subject I wrote last year already. Time and money lost since I had taken 4 days off work to study and write with no pay since I work on commission only.

I have given Judith the go ahead to delete my one subject to obtain my certificate for the 1 subject passed then from last year. I will now make it my mission to inform everyone I can of what happened to me and I am sure a lot of other students.

Very distraught student !

INTEC College service

I am still awaiting feedback for a refund which was completed on the 5september 2016 from the accounts department for a subject that I never did due to intecs lack of communication. #worst place to study at! Now they have handed me over to a debt collector as I cancelled my last 3 payments due to no feedback. This is totally unacceptable and unprofessional after I was promised by various of their consultants that this would be carried out within 90 days. • We have received the study materials today but they are all in English after we discussed that all her study materials will be in Afrikaans.
• We still have not received her intec.me login details
• She also read in her study guide book that there was an assignment due on the 11th of March which she missed as there were no correspondence regarding this.

INTEC College unethical behaviour

Was advised by Intec College towards end of 2016 I will be emailed as to when the next exam registration date is. Went into their offices in Port Elizabeth this morning only to find out that the registration date for June 2017 exams is already closed. They cannot explain as to why they did not notify me and said that when they know the next date for November 2017, they will email me.

Unacceptable service as I now have to wait and hope for communication. Even the staff at the Port Elizabeth Branch are incompetent.

INTEC College exams

Intec suck! they don't come back with feedback!
I wrote 4 subjects in the November exam session 2016, of the 4 subjects 3 of the subjects question paper was wrong !
I phoned and I emailed and phoned again but still no answers I payed for those subjects and I have to drive +/- 120km each day to write this
subjects...
they are truly useless!

INTEC College no student support

My son (student nr [protected]) lodged his assignments on 27 oct. I wish to lodge a complaint about your services.

We sent in my son’s assignments on 27 october, and have not had any confirmation that you have received them. we had to send them from my email address, as you system was down again!

Every time we call to speak to someone, the call just gets cut off with a voice saying you have a problem. this has been going on for at least 2 weeks.

My son sent a query via the website to jordash naidoo his student advisor, but has still not had a reply, this has also been more than 2 weeks.

This morning I got through to a person, who told me she couldn’t help, because the system was down and I must call back.

This is completely unacceptable!

Your courses cost the same as last year, but you didn’t print anything or provide hand books, so you must have 99% of the course money. why don’t you use that to sort your system out and support the students?

• have you received his assignments?
• what date is the cut off for assignments to be in so he can write exams next year march/april (he waited 3 months for results and only got his study material in aug this year)
• how and where can we get answers to assignments to check what correct answers are to questions he got wrong?
• how and where can we get past exams papers?

INTEC College study material not received /assignment not marked

After numerous attempts to get any support from Intec on all my queries since the beginning of 2016 I do not know what to do anymore. I turn myself to you now in the hope that something will now be resolved.

I have phoned and spoke to almost every student consultants at Intec without any results. I have send emails to the following addresses ('[protected]@icg.edu.za'; '[protected]@intec.edu.za'; '[protected]@icg.edu.za'; '[protected]@icg.edu.za'; 'nafisa.[protected]@intec.edu.za; Mfanelo.[protected]@icg.edu.za; Ghalied.[protected]@icg.edu.za'), phoned, emailed again, phone again with no response.

The consultants I have spoken to are: Ghalied; Mfanelo; Lynne; Jacqueline; Seybonga; Nafisa and many more.

Here is my problem:

I enrolled to study my course with you and paid the full amount of my course.

2015 went without a problem. I received my study material for my first two subjects. I completed my assignments for these two subjects and then I have no idea what happened. My last assignment for the subject Microsoft Windows 7 (I10053412-C) has been submitted to Intec numerous times without any response of receipt or results on this assignment.

My study material for my remaining to subjects (Adobe Photoshop CS6 – JN-43 & Illustrator CS6 – MW-22) has according to Intec been send to me, but I have not received anything. According to Intec these subjects study material has been delivered on 23/02/2015 with Introduction to PC Windows 7 – however these two subjects study material was not in that package. I have no way to proof that – therefore I said that I was even prepared to pay for it again because I honestly did not receive it. No response from Intec. The only answer I get is that it is being escalated – but this has been done since March – no results again. My course ends at the end of 2016 and I am unable to complete it due to your ignorance of my problem. To this day I did everything in my power to get assistance from you with no success.

Everybody promises to come back to me – it has now been 5 month that I am struggling to continue my studies. I am really now desperate.

INTEC College my award still not received

My name is Caleisle Ngwenya, student number: [protected]. I finished my studies with Intec College which is under the ambrella of ICG College Group, in mechanical engineering by January 2016. i was told i would receive my award after 8 weeks of completion and final payment. i made the payment by January 2016 and got a statement of confirmation. until today the 1st of June 2016, i have still not received my award. Every time i contact the academic school department, i am given the same letter which was sent to me in January 2016; with the same status on the process of my award. I am very disapointed. I need to use the results for advancing my career. I also wanted to continue studying with internet but i feel i have been told lies again and again. please assist.

INTEC College unhappy about billing

I would like to voice out my complaint. On the 12.02.16 I registered for an Intec course in Graphic Design, I paid an amount of R1300 as a deposit. 14 days later I received my study materials, during the course of 2 weeks I decided to start my assignment as I was excited. I then realised that the course is not for me then requested to change. I have since waited for the change to happen, during the course on the month an amount of R599 was deducted from my account, and I had stated that I would pay by hand, I then reversed the amount due to the fact that I had not received my new study materials for Events Management. This month my account was debited again, and I reversed the amount, because I cannot be paying for something that I do not have, now I have been receiving calls and smses telling me that my account is in arrears.

INTEC College study material outstanding

I registered with Intec College beginning of October 2015 for the ICB Office Administration diploma which is a 3 year course. My first year is to obtain the National Certificate in Office Administration. On the 23rd of November 2015 I received my text books and found that 5 text books were missing although according to a Zaeed from their stores department all 13 units were shipped. I immediately contacted Intec college and informed them which books were missing and was told by their call center that they would escalate the matter to the relevant department. I continuously called the call center to find out where these books were and each time was told that the matter would be escalated to the relevant department and to their manager. I then lodged a compliant on Intec's website and a lady by the name of Claudine from their complaints department did contact me and assured me that she will look into this matter and get my books to me - this was the beginning of December 2015. The whole of December I had to call all the time and follow up as to where my books are and each time was told that the matter will be escalated to the relevant department and that somebody would call me back. Nobody EVER calls you back. Beginning of January Claudine called me again to query if I had received my books as she had gone on leave in December and had thought that my query was resolved (whatever). I informed her that it had not and that now I was getting irritated considering I had paid up front for my first year and that my first exam was to be written on the 15th of February 2016 and I did not have all the text books to study for that exam. I also told her that Intec's 72 hour turn around time was a load of rubbish as it was passed 1 month since I lodged my complaint. She assured me she would look into this. She then called me back to inform me that their system had made an error and had indicated that all my books were sent and it was not an Intec fault. I find that to be a very untrue statement. Somebody had to indicate which books were being sent. So now, they had to reorder my 5 units and that these books should arrive in January. She kept extending the date and eventually said that they would be shipped over night by the end of January 2016. Well guess what? Today is the end of January 2016 and I still do not have my missing 5 units. My exam is now 15 days away and I cannot fully study for it. What makes it worse is my next exam is in May and I do not have any of those books to study for that exam. I find Intec's response to complaints and the manner in which they handle their complaints completely unacceptable. All I want are my 5 missing units that I paid for in order for me to complete my studies this year. They are now interfering with my study time as I only have x amount of days to study and being a mom and full time employed does not give me much time to study. This now adds extra pressure. So Intec College, where are my 5 units?

INTEC College exchange of 'outdated' textbooks

I registered with Intec in January 2015 for the Technical Financial Accounting course. I was told when registering that because I have paid for the three courses upfront, I will receive all my textbooks together. I said to the consultant that I dont want all the textbooks at one time as I must complete one level at a time. My main concern was that the textbooks might change from last year to this year, the consultant told me not to worry as I have 2015 textbooks and they would be valid for this year. In November 2015, I received correspondance from ICB stating that my second level textbooks have changed. When phoning Intec, I was told (very rudely) that there is nothing they can do at this time and I must call back in January. So I tried to phone in January, no answer. When I did finally get through I was told to leave my number and someone will get back to me within the day, that was three days ago. I have sent numerous emails and only recieved one feedback to say 'issue being esculated'. The fact of the matter is, I have paid for my studies up front. Now that the two textbooks have changed (my middle level books), Intec want to charge me again to receive new textbooks. I feel this is not right as I have already paid for textbooks... which I can now not use. I feel Intec should take those books back and supply me with the new ones. I also feel that they should respond to emails and phone calls.

INTEC College refund

I have been dealing with Natasha Martin and recently when I send emails she is not responding and when you try calling her the call centre stuff tell you that she cant get to the phone. INTEC College awaiting certificate

I registered for basic safety and electrical with intec college in 2013. I was supposed to be credited with my certificate upon my completion, but I was told that I wont be given an award without a practical, when I registered for the course it excluded the practical material and I paid full for the course, but not its been almost I and a half year since im waiting for the college to decide weather ill get my award or not. The service has not been good, all the the time I call I get the same answer from these consultant, no one is able to assist me.

INTEC College refund due for 5 years!

Surely, as I have already waited 5 years, I should be exempted from waiting 3 months for my own money. I asked her below questions which she has since not replied to and when I called to speak to her, she refused to speak to me and only advised the call centre agent what the procedure is. I don’t need to stress my disgust, as I am sure you receive complaints such as these on a more than regular basis. I am tired of making endless phone calls to the call centres and having to explain myself over and over again. If there is anyone in INTEC that actually works, please assist me with obtaining my refund urgently! Due to the waiting period of 5 or so years of not being advised that an amount of R1720 was supposed to be refunded into my account. I feel that the 3 month waiting period does not apply to me in any aspect. I have given Intec sufficient time to process my refund. These are my docs attached and I expect the necessary to be done and a turnaround time should be communicated. The reason I am including the manager of the Intec call centre, is to advise him also that his call centre staff never returns calls, and feedback always differs.
