Insider Pages Business listing

My business listing is on Insider Pages ([edited], massage therapists in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) and the information on the listing is incorrect and outdated. I’m unable to access my business page and when I contacted Insider Pages for assistance they have refused to help me. If I’m unable to access the listing to make the necessary updates then the page should be removed! They claim that the listing is now managed by Yext but they won’t give me any information about how to contact Yext & Yext won’t help me. Since the listing is on Insider Pages, I don’t have anyone else to go to for assistance. They need to stop ignoring my ongoing requests for assistance! I’m sure that someone could help if they were willing!

Desired outcome: Remove the listing of my business from your website.

Insider Pages don't use them

This company is a joke.
Don't use them to advertise your business and avoid at all costs.
The main reason is that you will get no support whatsoever. When they start charging you for this and that without any notification, you have to stop it by contacting your bank.
Reaching them is impossible. I think, they are aware of customers' troubles and don't want to be involved in a huge scandal. So they never pick г the phone and never replies emails.
So please, don't waste your money. Hire professionals with a great reputation and excellent reviews. InsiderPages is not worth any bit of your attention, time and money.

Insider Pages wrong contact info

My husband recently used the website www.insiderpages.com. He wanted to find info about cars. He tried to reach several companies, but all his emails were returned back. The website provided wrong contact info, so it was impossible to reach any company at all. I wonder if there are other people, who had the same experience. Can you provide any good piece of advice or maybe you can help to find the contact info of these companies? Thanks.

Insider Pages defamation of character

This is the third time in less than 10 days that I have found "negative reviews" on our jewelry store. We are a family business that will be celebrating our 25 anniversary this summer and we take negative reviews very seriously! I understand that you can't please everyone all the time, but when you have someone writing a negative review you want to know what you could have done to correct the matter. When you "click" on the person writing the review, and notice that they put the "same exact review" to more than 40 businesses that is malice. Why doesn't Insider Pages have a "filtering" system that would catch multiple reviews being posted at the same time, to the same category of business? Where is there responsibility to the consumer and the business! The first person wrote 48 reviews to area jewelry stores, today I found two "reviews" one for 37 times and the other for 43, again to area jewelry stores, again the exact same review.. Unfortunately, the Internet is the way of the future and you have very little control on what is posted about you, but you must keep on top of it...

Update: I wrote to Insider Pages - FLORIDA asking them to investigate two people writing the same review to more than 37 jewelry stores and this was their response:
Thank you for contacting us with your concerns. We have examined the review you reported and determined that it adheres to the Insider Pages Terms of Use, which can be found here http://www.insiderpages.com/legal .
For this reason, it will not be removed.
Can you believe this! People posting the same lie to 37 and 41 customers " adheres to the Insider Pages Terms of Use, which can be found here http://www.insiderpages.com/legal."
I have requested that they remove my company from their listing!

Insider Pages deletes negative reviews

This web site allows people to search & find local businesses who advertise on their web site (for free) and lets clients & the public leave reviews of businesses. However, my own experience and the experience of many others has been that they'll leave only positive (rave) reviews given to businesses and delete all constructive, critical & negative reviews, even when such reviews do not violate any terms of their policies. This leaves a misrepresentation of and false understanding of any given business for unknowing reviewers, looking for honest commentaries. Not all reviews of every business can be favorable & they should not block the ISP of their members from making candid reviews that are deserving of less than "five star" status.

Insider Pages fake reviews

I was looking for reviews on dentists. I thought I would try insiderpages.com. I found a dentist close to me that seemed too good to be true, the office had twenty reviews all of five stars. Not a single one was four stars, or three, etc. So that stuck out as odd, but not impossible. But then I did some digging, reading the reviews they all seemed too perfect. Not only was the dentist awesome, but also the front desk guy Ben. Also the writing style of the reviews seems suspicious, no misspellings, no grammar errors, and similar styles. And to top it off, 100% of the reviews were rated as 100% helpful by any where from a few people to twenty people. 100% of the reviews were helpful, that also seems very odd.

So more digging and I find that out of the twenty reviewers, not one, not a single person had posted a review for anything else. That is very odd for a social site.

So next I did a test, I rated reviews as not helpful to me, as they truly weren't. It showed that some reviews were not 100% helpful any more, good sign. I checked later and it still showed that some weren't helpful. But the next day all the reviews were back to 100% helpful again. So they censored my reviews of the reviews.

I also posted a review that was not positive, and it showed fine for one day, but by the next day it was gone.

So good reviews stay, but negative ones don't. What a scam. You have been warned, (assuming that this site doesn't' also remove this negative review.)

Yes, so true, Insiderpages is allowing this to happen or they have no control over it when companies with business profile have negative reviews, they hire reverse SEO companies to have a 5 star writing campaign to push down the negatives. All you have to do is read the history of the user names and see the other companies they are writing for, doing the same thing, pushing their negatives down. What scam but really its the businesses that are hiding the problems pretending nobody will see it. A example of a property management company in San Luis Obispo called "Farrell Smyth", I saw what they did on Google, Judysbook, Insiderpages, CitySearch and etc, then I read the user names and came across this and notice the whole site of Insiderpages is full of lying reviews. This is a huge problem. I suggest posting a complaint on [redacted] and Scam about they business you notice or want to write a complaint about, so it will be on the top of Google so people will notice the crooked business is doing. But also there should be more [redacted] files and scam files made, so InsiderPages, Google Places listings and etc places where reviews can be left.

I do like to check reviews and have noticed that Insider Pages only has 5 star reviews that are very generic and the amount of ratings the person who posts on has maybe as high as 15, 000. Those are obviously fake reviews. I prefer Yelp and have found them useful. I realize the only ones will be bad ones because people post when they are unhappy about something. Maybe it's time to take people into small claims court for lousy jobs.

i would personally would not leave any bad reviews about any business because these businesses have employees to feed, plus the owners have families to feed. I would not want to be responsible ruining someones life. I would judt move on to another business.

I totally agree I have personally experienced how they do business. I left a negative review for a auto repair shop in New Jersey that ripped me off, the shop had two negative reviews and one positive. I just checked today to find out that my review and the other negative one was deleted. It is a shame.

Insiderpages allows tons of fake reviews. I noticed one negative review for a painting company (sadly after we had a problem). I mentioned it to the owner of the company (said that I wish I had checked his review online since it was not good.) What do you know? This guy who told me they had very few customers and weren't busy at all suddenly had THREE excellent reviews within 24 hours. Two reviews were written very early in the morning within 15 minutes of each other. Also all reviews mentioned the formal name of the company which was very long and also included email and phone numbers.
Names of all of the employees were on there and that the owner is so careful to supervise that everything is perfect. I guess the original post was also changed to say these posts have to be fake but the company allows them to stay.

In ths case the three glowing reviews that appeared immediately after the owner found out about one negative review were also written by "customers" who have no other posts or reviews. Insider pages is never going to have the weight of Angie's List or even Yelp if they do not do a better job of weeding out the owners of these businesses and their fake reviews.

I've submitted over 50 reviews on insiderpages, and have gotten a pretty good idea of what it's like. I must say that it has it's ups and downs. I have had over 10 reviews deleted on the site over the past year. What I have gathered is that they are ultimately pretty fair, but you have to be careful how you post reviews. They clearly do NOT want to be like Yelp!, but definitely want more professional reviews. If your review is short, has cuss words in it, uses any racial words in it, poor grammar, caps, etc., it will probably get deleted sooner or later.

Fortunately and unfortunately, Yelp! seems to have the online review market cornered. Yelp! have clearly worked hard to create an environment where people feel at ease to simply speak their minds. Insiderpages doesn't want that, but rather they go for more of an oldschool professional review look.

I have to say that Insiderpages is about 10 years behind, and needs to work on their interface greatly. I wouldn't say that they need to go to the extremes that Yelp! goes to (I don't like Yelp! personally, as I feel they make it too easy to write spicy, colorful, mean-spirited reviews). But there is no messaging system between members, and there is no way to delete reviews as far as I have seen. There is only an option to delete your account.

I don't agree with what the masses want, but I must say that sites like Yelp! have done their homework, and know what the generation Y'ers and Z'ers are like, and what they want. It appears that a lot of businesses support yelp as well. If Insiderpages keeps up what they are doing, they probably won't even be online anymore in 10 years. They'll just kind of fade away, kind of like that old looksmart search engine.

Not only that, but they are deleting real negative reviews while keeping fake positive reviews so that they can "keep things positive"

Insider Pages defamation of character

My complaint is against the insider pages. They posted a damaging review about me that has hurt my business and my relations in general.
Lynn T posted a review of how irresponsible I was and never kept appointments, how I always complained about my life and that I was a stalker, that even management couldn't stop me. She was on a massage list to be called for specials. She never once said not to call!
Lynn Taylor put on the internet that I was stalking her and that is a criminal offense she is accusing me of based on one visit to the salon! I am going to seek a lawyer if not removed immediately and sue for punitive damages both to the insider pages as well as the client. This information comes up on the first page of a google search. Over a billion plus people have seen it.
Please think twice what you do to someone's life with such damaging untrue information.

I only saw Lynn T once as a referral that came from a Grieving Counseling Group. I felt awful about the mix up and agreed to do a massage free of charge. Unfortunately, she was on a massage list and was called periodically. Not once did the woman or her husband say not to call. She then calls management and says she is being stalked. I couldn't believe she thought that and took her off of the massage list. Lynn T has posted on the internet with insider pages that to beware of me and that I was a stalker! That's a criminal offense that she is accusing me of and it has hurt my business and contacts greatly! I have sought a lawyer and if not removed, I will sue for punitive damages from Lynn T as well as the Insider Pages for destroying my reputation, not to mention making a living!

Negative reviews are deleted, even though they do not violate terms of services. This means that only positive reviews can be allowed, and for a website that claims to allow users to review local businesses, this makes reviews one-side, inaccurate, and unethical. My IP address was blocked, even though I was being truthful and did not name any names or specifics.

Insider Pages no commutation!

This website allows postings of any kind to be posted. They have allowed posting for my company Dental Plus Dental Group. They have No phone number or address listed. If you email them No one responds. They are effecting my business big time! I have patients log on in our office and post a comment and if its good, they delete it. They delete any and all good comments from anyone. They only allow negative postings to our name. The site says it updates comments that are old, but they don't. I have stacks of proof of positive comments that were posted from our patients. They have a sister company citysearch.com and our comments are good from them as well as the BBB.

I read an interesting blog about how Insider Pages are now deleting negative reviews and only keeping the obviously fake positive reviews. They are a bad company

I had a similar experience to helpingothers. I gave a bad review about an auto mechanic, they contacted the mechanic, who then called me twice and abused me about my review. Then insiderpages removed my review after I had explained that what I had written was a legitimate complaint. I agree that in my case they pandered to the business. From reading other comments, it seems their bias is arbitrary. I'll never trust them or use them again.

I agree. You can't get a reply from them and make companies look terrible. We have a great BBB rating, but on Insiderpages.com we look terrible because of a few dissatisfied customers. Insiderpages.com also has a bad BBB rating. They are rated as a D and their parent company Citysearch.com is a C-.

I guess the only way to counter act is have all of our customers post good things. This way the few bad comments get buried.

I had the opposite, a dental office with five star reviews... I posted a negative review and they removed it for no reason, that is unless the business owner has paid off insiderpages.com

Yelp.com has also been accused of blackmail, pay up or we put bad reviews for your company.

I totally agree! This website is effecting my business in a negative way too. They allow anyone to write fabricated reviews and it's just not fair. I'm considering removing my business from their website.
