INGDirect Mortgage / Unreliable and untrustworthy.

1 CA, United States Review updated:

Following the advertisement, I decided to check out INGDirect Mortgage. It turned out that many of what they claimed turned out to be UNTRUE. First, customer service is horrible and unprofessional, including the so-called "managers", who displayed the kind of quality that you would expect from a used cars lot: rough and nasty. They seem to project the slogan of "SAVING" but in reality, it's marginally scamming. INGDirect takes application over the phone and online. But in either case, they basically practice the old trick called "bait-and-switch". They advertise low rates and 'great savings', but the bottom line cost to the borrowers contradicts that. The process takes about 30 days and the closing costs tend to increase as the loan process goes along. Expect many unpleasant surprises with INGDirect. They have no office or a real person to discuss problems in person. The only way to reach them is by phone and this option almost guarantees to frustrate you. It's pretty much a company that operates on the model that does not fit a business profile that values customer service, integrity, or pride. INGDirect makes 'mistakes" which the apologize for, but their customers almost never get compensated for or having the issue complete and satisfactorily resolved.

Unreliable and unprofessional came to mind when I think of INGDirect. Therefore, it is highly NOT recommended.

You wrote a whole lot but didn't say a God damned thing. Except for "the closing costs tend to increase as the loan process goes along" ... hmmm, do you think that could be because what you were given initially was a Good Faith ESTIMATE?!? Which means it is not exact and can vary? Man, those jerks at ING Direct certainly pulled one over on you by not letting you know that your ESTIMATE could change. HAHAHA! Genius.

A word of advise: if you're gonna ### about a company give more specifics. That way your claim doesn't just look like the frivolous rantings of a cry-baby that didn’t get her way.
