I received a call on my business phone from a gentleman asking if I wanted to pay for my yellowpage add. I was thinking he asking me to renew the ad we had with yellow pages. I never heard the word INFO Yellowpages. I told him I did want to renew the yellow page ad. They verified my address and then said a bill will come. I got a bill from yellow pages to renew my ad, BUT I also got a bill from INFO Yellow Pages. I called them and said we did not want their services or have our ad on their page. The lady said you told us on a phone recording you wanted the ad. I explained that I thought it was the Yellow Page add. We do not want their services. She said we would still have to pay. How can out get out of this? To me this was a fraud, because I thought it was Yellow Pages and never knew about INFO Yellow Pages.

Yes infoyellowpages.com is pure scam it is operated out of Montreal Canada sales are pushed out of Costa Rica and renewal are done from Canada.

If you have already place a order tell them you will file with BBB, AG and FTC,

If you have already paid them ask for refund on your cc and if they refuse tell them u are going to the credit card protection board. Never pay them check by phone.

all the best

Ya, they misrepresented their company to me as well, and I stupidly fell for it. You hear yellow pages and automatically jump tothe logical conclusion, that this is THE yellow pages. Alas, now I have an invoice for a good that was obviously sold in a way as to sucker the average small business owner into purchasing their services. I, at first, also could not find our company on their site, however, when I checked on search by company, it came up right away. Regardless, their service makes it difficult for the regular person to actually find the listing with ease. Also, they did misrepresent the company, and they use the same (aside from some small details) symbol as the actual yellow pages. The man on the phone, who I talked to to tell them we're not interested in a company that was obviously preying on others through the connotations of their company's name, said I could look in a dictionary to see that yellow pages just refers to advertising companies, LOL. We're not going to be paying. And it's great when the recording they show you is only the recording for confirmation at the end, and does not cover their whole sales pitch at all. Why would they include a recording that shows them lying? I was told this was a service that we had been utilizing in the past, and that this was simply to renew it. This has actually put me under pressure from upper management, as I was fooled into something that we never purchased/worked with in the past, and now I look like the idiot.

I promise you, this company will not be getting a dime from us. I only wish I would've caught the "info" part in the beginning and checked it out online.

$459.99 that must be the magic number. My husband took a call at our service station which he never does but this one time and guess what! it was info@yellowpages.com and he did know that i had been it talks with Yellow Book getting a web page set up and so when they asked to verify the info he gave it out. then i get the bill. I filled a complaint with the BBB and called the scammer to let them know i had a claim # then the next day i get a recorded call from [protected] saying a suite has been filled against me with a restraining order. They are in Virgina Beach and I am in Rhode Island like i am going to drive down there. This should be against the law to scam small business owners. We are doing good to pay the real bills we have with this economy and don't have time or money for these jerks!

I fell for the same thing. I thought I was renewing by ad with the Real Yellow Pages. I got a bill for 559.99. Than I started getting harrasted by contstant phone calls. I was going to pay the bill, but than decided to go to infoyellowpages.com. My ad was not there. I did talk to At&t Yellowpages and Real Yellow pages. They have not used the symbol of the walking fingers for several years. People see that and think it is the real yellow pages. Darlene Stammer Piano Studios, Temperance, Mi. 48182

These guys are SCAMMERS! I just ripped a new one into this guy who was trying to get me to sign up for a year of adverting. I also believed it was for my yellow book ad. They are very persistent and will not leave you alone. I played along and asked "What exactly am I getting for this? Show me a website where this is posted? Tell me what am I paying for?" The guy started back peddling faster than Lance Armstrong. I told him don't ever call me again. Since there is no record that I received a bill, I will never pay. THEY ARE ### SCAMMERS!

We just today handled a call from infoyellowpages.com for one of our clients. We handle all marketing and all such calls for this client and save his business many, many dollars otherwise spent on such offers. We also monitor our clients' website traffic, so we know what claims made are real - and what ones are not. Our recommendation: NEVER accept an offer that requires your verbal approval on the phone - no matter who is calling you. Do your homework before ever saying yes. Check the performance of various claims by using analytical tools - especially for online advertising programs. Get an expert to protect your back who is a marketing professional skilled in the ways of the industry. Just on the calls you are inundated with from such companies, sending them off to a person who handles them with skill will save you hours (days over the year) and prevent the sad stories of those above who have been misled into spending lots of their hard-earned money.

Just realized I was taken. Simular story to everyone else. I have not paid the invoice and do not plan to. Called the 800 number and left a message. What can I do to fight this invoice and reveal these people?

Dennis is known to be an arrogant ### of a man who wants no less thn 5 sales per week or the employees are fired without any pay. so they make close to 500.00 for add and pay the employee nothing. if they do pay their employee they only pay 4.50 per hour and very little on commissions

A man named Denis is the man in charge down there in charge of making sure every day goes well in the world of infoyellowpages.com which used to be sold under easyyellowpages.com. I was told one day they went in their office and told all their employees that their new name was infoyellowpages.com.

I had the same experience with them, but the first thing I received was not even an invoice, it was a letter from a collection agency! Then an invoice showe up about 3 weeks later. Checked their web site, no listings for my company or, for that mater, any companies in the Home Inspection industry in my area. I will be contacting the collection agency to tell them they are being used as part of a scam, but NONE of them are getting any of my money, regardless. Someone belongs in jail.

I just received a phone call from these guys and like everyone else they wanted to verify my info. I did go on and check the site for our listing and we were there but it was an old address from over 2.5 years ago. I was instructed that I could change that if I wanted. I told him I'm not interested and he then said that it already pays for itself because we had over 150 clicks last month. I asked for him to send me the history/stats for the listing and he told me the only way I could get that info is with an invoice. I told him no and he kept on pushing...I ended the conversation at that point...THIS IS A SCAM!

Just got a call from these people. Pretty normal sounding sales guy at first, but it just had a scammy feel. Googled company name and found this while I was talking to him, confirmed it was BS.

He tried to make it sound like we had ALREADY signed up for the service and he just wanted to verify the renewal (for $459.99). It's all garbage, so stay away.

They have their office in San Jose, Costa Rica, Central America, at Mall San Pedro, a very well known mall in here, on the offices building, FBI should have someone going down there and caught all this people. They have a sales floor of around 50 phone telemarketers and complete around 60 sales every day, just imagining all this people scammed makes me wonder where is the Justice in this world.

Here is my report to the

Better Business Bureau of Greater Hampton Roads:
Norfolk, VA
[protected] consumer complaints

Send all complaints their way as they handle infoyellowpages ' district

My company "Rustworks" received a phone call from a very believable sales agent (info yellowpages/ info yellowpages.com)who, while speaking with my business partner, convinced him that he was agreeing to a renewal of a YellowPages trial business listing and or renewal. No documentation was exchanged at that time

No invoice was ever received.

2-3 months later I receive the call from the billing department of (info yellowpages/ info yellowpages.com) notifying me of a passed due invoice of $459.99 due 3-Sept-10. I requested a faxed copy of the bill and notified the billing dept. ("Derek" [protected] ext 238) that I would need to verify this with my book keeper prior to any payment. Derek then informed me that an immediate payment by phone would reduce this bill from 459.99 to 414.00. I looked at the faxed invoice, noticing that my invoice# was the same as my account number (strange/questionable) My book keeper notified me that no such invoice was received fro the September due date and no such records were found of any work order or authorized service contract for our company.

I left Derek a voice-mail saying that I would need a copy of the work-order with an itemized list of services provided and charges affiliated.

I immediately googled "info yellow pages" and all the scam testimonials came up. I looked at this comment/scam board to verify my hunch - after reading the comments, which read identical to my experience, I did the unthinkable...I went online to 'www.infoyellowpages.com' and entered my company name and zip code and guess what? No search result came up?!?! I tried again for a different spelling and same thing -- evidently they have not represented themselves as a business directory very well!

Right on cue, the phone rang - it was Derek wanting payment by CC over the phone! I told him that I wasn't able to find evidence of this 'contract' and he went in about the phone recorded proof of authorization by my business partner. When I told him that I was unable to find my own company on infoyellowpages' directory listing, thus negating any proof in my mind that we ever had any such listing (how often do you search your own company?), he starts in with 'Let me just get to my computer and I'll change that right now' - I told him to go F*** himself!

BBB,
Thanks for your time, please follow this through as there seems to be many small businesses like ourselves that have been caught up on this Yellow Pages copycat scam company.

Thank you and kind regards,

Last year I fell for the gimmick that this was the real yellow pages and got stuck paying for the next version which is "YELLOW BOOK", I did not want this. I faught paying the bill for five months but eventually paid the bill. I told myself I was not doing that again!
The first call to my business line was rejected by me. Then not one week later I get a call verifing my company info and advised I was being recorded, I played along with this organization knowing full well that there is no way I was going to fall for this again. They sent the "INVOICE" WITH AMOUNT DUE---------. By now I should know what works and who is just taking my money, Info yellow pages.com is taking my money.
I AM NOT DOING IT AGAIN!
