Everything has to be done through the app, which is fine, but they don't seem to be counting the tasks that have been completed. If a task hasn't been done, you don't get the badge, and if you don't have the badge, you don't have a chance to receive a voxbox. I've completed multiple badges only to have my tasks ignored and stay "in review" throughout the entire campaign. And even if my tasks were counted, I still faced issues.

Recently, I finished tasks for a badge through the Influenster app, but it wasn't counted. I did everything that was required to finish the badge, but it still wasn't counted. I had to open three different tickets to get any help with this issue, but even then, I received no resolution. After a few exchanged messages, I still haven't heard from them about why it isn't registering that I did the task. I've even tried reaching out to them on their social media platforms and through email, but I still haven't received any response. It's not just me, either - they've been doing this to a lot of people.

Honestly, I wouldn't waste my time with Influenster anymore. They've become really ridiculous and my account has been deleted. It's a shame because it used to be a great platform, but now it's just not worth the hassle.

I'm 57 years old, and while I may be older than some of the other members, I still take care of myself and enjoy looking nice. I wear lots of makeup and cologne, and I buy lots of nice clothes and products. It's disheartening to feel like I'm being discriminated against because of my age.

I belong to other groups that send me wonderful products for free in exchange for my honest reviews, and they don't mind that I'm older. It's just frustrating to put so much time and effort into something and feel like it's not paying off. I wish I could get those hours back and put them towards something more productive.

Influenster is an amazing platform that is not as difficult as some people make it out to be. The key to success is patience and participation. Most people assume that you have to have a high impact score to receive a box, but that is absolutely incorrect. I am proof of that. I do not have a huge following at all and I just received a really awesome box and I'm waiting on the next one to arrive! My score is only 859 (medium) and it has gone up since I received the box. I believe it was 780 when I was selected to receive the box. It's mostly demographics, completing snaps, writing reviews, and interacting with others on the app that matters. Of course, I'm sure a higher score helps, but it's not a requirement.

You do need to complete a few easy tasks to earn a badge after you receive each box, but it's super simple. It is a lot of fun to be a part of influenster and it's very exciting to receive boxes and to learn about awesome products! Try it out for yourself and see! I've received an ABH eye palette worth $65, over $200 worth of makeup from Valentino, tons of face care products that are worth hundreds of dollars, Biolage shampoo, conditioner, and shine spray, Redken hair care products, hair dye, dog products, soups, deodorant, drugstore quality cosmetics, cold and allergy meds, Clorox wipes, OxiClean laundry stuff, Coach perfume, and so much more. I've even heard of people receiving Keurig machines, full boxes of cooking pans, electric yard tools, clothes, shoes, and even refrigerators that cost thousands of dollars! The opportunities are truly endless.

Now, I know some people are hesitant to join because they think they'll have to spend hours on the app doing random reviews or interacting with people. But that's not the case at all. All you have to do is fill out your personal profile so they know your interests, and then you'll start receiving surveys in your email asking if you want to participate in a box campaign. That's how you sign up for specific items you're interested in testing.

And yes, you do have to do reviews on the products you receive for free. But honestly, that's a fair exchange for getting high-quality products for free. Plus, it's kind of fun to try out new things and share your thoughts with others.

In essence, instead of marketing teams trying to find individuals to try and promote items, Influenster aggregates individuals on behalf of them. The brands that are featured on Influenster let Influenster handle the distribution and representation. So who's really influencing whom? It's definitely less the users and more so the brands involved.

For people who've never been exposed to a dSLR, they might see the Canon rebel, look at the reviews, and go out to buy one. Sure, Google exists for the more knowledgeable buyer, but for the people that don't want to wade through long product reviews and spec ratings, Influenster just might influence them with their selective branding.

You cannot add products or labels to their database to review. Reviewing earns you more credibility with your expert category and ups your overall score, giving you a better chance at being selected for a vox box. This is proof that it's really more about a pre-selected group of items, such as buying Xbox instead of PS or Canon instead of Nikon. Social media slowly trickles those brands to consumers. The only influence anyone has is what Influenster tells them to have. Any indie, niche, or non-corporate labels/entities anyone has an interest in does not exist.

That being said, if you love Kraft Mac and Cheese, Neutrogena, and Taco Bell, you can review them to your heart's content. Even shady one-liners like "Great" can earn you free samples for your hard work.

Back in August or September I got approved for the diapers the pull-ups are in the diapers and I didn't get them until like a couple weeks ago Well by the time I received them the campaign or whatever was already over so I had no way to post it on the app so because of that I've gotten denied like three or four times now for surveys because I haven't finished my opinion on the diapers and I'm really irritated because I've emailed probably four or five times now telling them that this was the issue and I have not one time gotten a response not even from an automated thing stating that they received my email and now I'm being held responsible for their mistake and it's not fair because I really enjoyed this app but I'm really starting not like it no more because of this reason!

When I first signed up for Influenster, I was ecstatic to receive Voxboxes left and right. It's been a good two years since I've last received a Voxbox from them, though. I'm constantly bombarded with emails asking me to answer surveys in hopes of getting another Voxbox or participating in a cashback campaign. While I've been accepted for quite a few cashback campaigns lately, I haven't received a Voxbox with a free item to review in ages.

What's more, the campaigns can only be done on the app. You can't even access them on the actual Influenster website. The app itself underwent an update last year, and it made the app so much worse. I'm seriously considering uninstalling it altogether. Nowadays, I prefer using Shespeaks to do my reviews instead.

I was super excited to receive it, but it took a really long time - 8 weeks! When I finally got the box, I was really disappointed to find that it only had 3 drugstore products in it. I thought maybe they had made a mistake, so I reached out to Influenster to ask about it. But I never got a response. I tried a few more times, but still nothing. So I decided to tweet at them, and that's when things started to get really frustrating. They still didn't respond to me, even though I was being really polite and just trying to figure out what was going on. Finally, I decided to tweet at Gloskin directly, and they responded right away. They told me that they had been promised by Influenster that the Gloskin Mega Box would contain THEIR products, not just some random drugstore stuff. They were really apologetic and even gave me a $200 gift card to make up for it.

But that wasn't the end of my problems with Influenster. A few weeks later, I won another box, but this time it's been 12 weeks and I still haven't received it. I've tried emailing them, but they just ignore me. I'm pretty sure they cancelled my box because I complained about them being dishonest with their prizes. I searched through all my email accounts, but I couldn't find any record of ever having received anything from Influenster. And I know for a fact that I've never deleted an email from my inbox on any of the first two accounts.

So I went back to the site and tried to reset my password for each of my email accounts. But I never got a password reset email in any of them.

Honestly, something is seriously wrong with this site. Either they're registering fake accounts with email addresses they got from a junk mail list so they'll look legit, or the site/account creation/login/etc are all broken.

I really wanted to give Influenster a chance, but I don't think I'll be using it again anytime soon. It's just not worth the hassle.

There is a girl I followed and I seen her on a sight where you sell stuff she was selling everything she got from influenster and I feel theres others out there who wouldn't I only got 1 voxbox but I loved it and fun reviewing. She is abusing it. I just thought someone should know I dont think its right and I think you guys should know about it she cant give a real review on it if she sells it and doesnt try it at all. For hourglass campaign, I have already uploaded the selfie but it said it is under review before. Now it says my activity was rejected and when I get in the activity, it asks me to reconnect my instagram. Which basically means that its not the activity which is rejected but there is some technical difficulty to get to what I posted in instagram. I tried submitting the activity again but it just goes to the home page everytime i do it. (also, I am already connected to fb and instagram from influenster, so I dont know why it keeps asking me to reconnect).
Also, there is an activity to follow on social media. I am tired of pressing the follow button after very half hour! For some reason, I follow it everywhere and then when i get back to the activity, it says i still havent followed it! Fortunately, when I unfollowed hourglass today morning, it detected that I have finished following all my social media and gave me points for it!

The other campaign: monstermash, has issues with invite friends activity! I have already invited friends from there but it says I havent! I dont know how else to finish this campaign if it doesnt recognize my activities!

If you try to use influenster on computer, it says you can do campaigns feature only from the app and not desktop! The app doesnt work properly! How am I supposed to do anything then?

I am so upset. I am taking part in the HairFood Voxbox. I keep getting an error message telling me they couldnt find my instagram tags. Im only logged on to one inst account and no matter what I do it isnt getting counted. What do i need to do? I have pictures of both the error message and the instagram post. Ive had this problem once before but yall fixed it. This time I dont see anyone else talking about it though.

I didn't know how else to reach you about this, but I did a review and then a bonus review for loreal hair mask sheet and then the shampoo I sent in my screenshot from my review for the hair mask, then did the review for the shampoo and managed send the hair mask review screenshot for the shampoo and got zero points! Is there a way I can redo the bonus?

Why did you make your useless app? Everything used to be great until you did it. I've done so many tasks previously, but your app didn't count them. Why is that?
And moreover, nothing that I have done was counted as "finished". How can this be explained? It's very buggy, you just have no idea.
So many times I tried to contact them, but they keep ignoring me. For no reason. And yesterday, all o a sudden they just blocked me and suspended my account.
I just wasted my time (and years of using them).

I have been using Influenster application from a month now and this application crashes a lot. I can't post any question there .. I am trying to do that from yesterday. It throws an error everytime, sometimes it kicks out and application get closed by its own. FYI, I have already upgraded the version. But facing the same issue again and again.

I signed up because Ive always like to give my opinion on products. My 22 yr old daughter was getting samples left & right. I got my first campaigne right away...panty liners, really? I worked hard on the site & never received anything else no matter how hard I tried yet my daughter continued to get campaigne after campaigne. I decided to unsubscribe & removed myself from the site. To this day I still get emails. Today I got one that said thank you for doing the Tide Campaigne & for my feedback...wasn't me! I have no respect for fake sites!

Don't trust Influenster! This website is full of fake reviews. There are actually writers who write tons of fake reviews just to earn some points. Everybody can be a part of this site and post some information. The bad part is that Influenster don't care about what people post. They need only new reviews and they don't care if they are true or fake. And many people read this and believe all these lies! That is very sad.

Don’t sign up for the website www.influenster.com. I subscribed for the trial, but it was waste of my money. The company charged me really fast and it was great, because they assured me that I would get the box soon. But I didn’t as well as I was sick of hearing some blah-blah from these guys. It was the worst deal ever. I haven’t faced such dishonest and unprofessional guys before. The company is terrible; therefore I would advise all people to stay away from them.
