IndiGo Airlines inflight food

Our family travel to Kochi last Friday 2nd August 219 has left us very disappointed and sad. We were in your 10.30am flight to kochi 6E-5311, PNR EJ7FGQ to attend a wedding. Being a morning flight we purchased the chicken sandwich for our son. We did see that the packet said best before 2nd August and it was ok to eat. But our plight started as soon as we landed Kochi. Our son started developing rashes all over his face.

We had to rush him to the doctor who diagnosed that it is because of the stale food which he may have eaten during the day. He had not eaten anything besides that in the morning. The med did not help, as the rashes were rapidly spreading across his whole body. We had to take him to hospital again and get him injected this time. He was uncomfortable with the rashes, the swelling and itching all over . Next day was the wedding and his rashes were only getting worse. We had to rush him again to the hospital for injections. He was on meds for the next 2 days before the rashes and swelling could subside.

Our holidays getting wasted is only secondary to the mental trauma we had to undergo as parents and excruciating discomfort our son had to go through.

We seek to be indemnified for the inconvenience caused to us, a visit which turned out to be a nightmare.

IndiGo Airlines bag

Boarded the flight to Bhubaneshwar, on arrival in the night could not notice any damage on the bag after I collected. On reaching the hotel I realised indigo had not handled my baggage properly as the zip was damaged and the bag was cracked at the base. Soon i tried calling the airline but despite giving them all the details the call got dropped. It was too late in the night. Early morning I called indigo helpline it was again the same story. I had a long agenda as my girl was joining NIFT and we had loads of procedures to complete hence we wrote a formal email and also attached photographs. Despite all this indigo states that we should have brought to their notice at the same time when we arrival. First it is a tiring journey, bags come out late and fact was nothing was prominent since the damages were below and not on front or top of the suitcase.

IndiGo Airlines rude staff

I travelled from Ahmedabad to Dubai on 9th July. My PNR was CHIKJG. When I complained about behaviour of one handling staff, I was rudely threatened by the duty officer that he will get my luggage offloaded and I will not be allowed to fly.
I was going on an emergency and it was so distressing. I had to literally beg this "gentleman" to not take this extreme step.
It was such a traumatic experience.
I HAVE NOW DECIDED NOT TO TRAVEL BY INDIGO IN FUTURE-EVER.

IndiGo Airlines refund from indigo airlines sent to expedia.co.in to forward to me

IndigoAir changed a flight I booked through (with) Expedia.co.in for Dec 4th 2018 from Varanasi to Chennai. The change was drastic and IndigoAir offered a full refund if passengers wished to cancel. I took that option. IndigoAir then issued a full refund to Expedia.co.in as the agency who did the booking to follow through to reimburse me in full. I have submitted online request/emails to Expedia.co.in through their website. I have not heard from them nor seen any refund. However, they kept sending me reminders that I have a flight on Dec 4th. I even emailed them again to let them know that the flight was cancelled - I was totally ignored. I have submitted another request again, today. Some details of flight...
-Travel dates : 4 Dec 2018 - 4 Dec 2018
-Itinerary # [protected]
-Confirmation GC6QVC (IndiGo)
-Booking ID D1LOQLN9Z

I also had written to IndigoAir regarding the refund because I did not receive it, their response is as follows: —

IndiGo Airlines my checked in luggage lock was broken and content stolen

I travelled with indigo from kolkata to hyderabad on flight 6e 3248 dated 14 dec 2018.

Upon arrival at hyderabad airport I realised my bag lock is broken and few articles were missing from my bag. The combination lock was completely damaged, so was the plastic security indigo seal. It was surely a planned act.

There was damage to my suitcase lock
2 perfume bottles were missing
2 sets of expensive cufflinks were missing

I immediately reported to the indigo helpdesk. However, there was no immediate reaction. The staff asked me to make a complain to their customer relations. I did and followed up several times until someone called me to say, they can't do much about it as it falls under minor wear and tear policy! I was shocked, as they even didn't want discuss about my missing/stolen articles. Nevertheless my suitcase costed me more than $250 (usd), that was damaged. To make things worse the customer care representative offered me $7 voucher in case I wish to book another flight with indigo.

Now here's my question: who's responsible for my baggage and its content, once I have checked in the baggage with the airline, until I collect it at my arrival airport?

Indigo has been dodging my question saying they had done internal investigation. They refuse to share me any investigation report or any cctv footage. I will go the legal route to challenge their policy and file claim for my losses.

It's complete breach of trust. Indigo must take responsibility of my losses. I'm still waiting to hear from them. Here's indigo's case reference number: crn-2455463-j5d8j2

IndiGo Airlines baggage damage

Indigo baggage handling is famous, I will share Experience of my Sister Neelam, She traveled along with her husband Sunil Singh, (27 Aug 2018 from Varanasi to Hyd 6E 6913, PNR -A8JCUL). On landing at Hyderabad,
While they received baggage from the conveyor belt, they were surprised on seeing the condition of Baggage, It was damaged and has patches like someone threw clay on it.
When they rushed to indigo helping hands of Vijay Kumar Sharma and Benny they received reply "Indigo couldn't do anything Even though it was a clear mistake and improper handling of baggage". After having further discussion he said
This cannot be repaired but he can offer 500 rs voucher which can be used on indigo site for any of future bookings .Wow really?
My friends obviously were not interested in travelling to indigo anymore so they asked for cash payment of 500 rs which indigo denied. What kind of solution is offering 500 rs voucher to travel again with indigo?
You are making business out of people's loss. Is this some kind of promotional offer .Are you kidding me? BY this logic do tamper all bags intentionally and then offer 500 rs voucher to customers so they have to come back to indigo.
You want to encash on customer's loss and offering a discount coupon of 500 rs which they can only use on indigo site if they plan to travel in next 6 months. This was the biggest joke I ever heard in customer relationship.
NO doubt Indigo is sinking and soon customers will treat this as another Air India.
I had same issue 2 years back with Air India and after 1 hour argument they reimburse me 500 rs as cash, But I must say Indigo is worse than even Air India.
Note: he told me to put this on Quora as i have account here ha ha ha ..

IndiGo Airlines ticket cancellation should not be more 250 aed

Dear sir,

I want to bring in your knowledge that I booked my ticket from Dubai to India (Hyderabad) for 13th June, 2018 and later I got the departure date changed
to 10th June and paid additional charges 100 AED as required by Representative
but Unfortunately due to unavoidable reason I had to cancel my travel and informed the same to Indigo Dubai office to cancel my 2 ways ticket cost AED 1600, they are saying we will refund only 703 AED after deducting cancellation charges which is quite high I will never agree and understand this huge deduction from my hard earning money.

I request high authority to look into this unfair means and refund me 1350 AED as cancellation charges should be only 250 AED no more...

looking forward to hear justified respond from you and prove the best customer caring Airline.

IndiGo Airlines baggage damage

My name is Dr. Chiranjeevi Reddy Bilipelli. I flew on indigo flight 6E 6913, PNR - PJJ79B, from Hyderabad to Goa on 7th of Aug at 9:10 pm, booked through Expedia .I found it as convenient flight for my onward flight to Manchester the following day (8th) early hours of 4am but it turned out to be a total disaster and big mistake.

When I reached the Indigo check in counter in Hyderabad they said my check in baggage was overweight by few Kgs (22Kg) and charged me Rs 1100 even though I tried to explain them about my onward international Flight.I paid the amount and they checked in my bag. Flight departed as scheduled and I landed in Goa on time.

I disembarked the flight and went to collect my checked in baggage . After waiting some time at carousel one of the Indigo staff came to me and took my boarding pass and told me that my checked in baggage was damaged. She told me that I checked in damaged baggage with flyer completely off the line and staff forgot to take a signature. It took a while for me to actually believe that she was serious about what she said. I dont know how she was expecting me to believe that, common how is that even possible. when I checked in, baggage was in perfect condition. They moved the bag up and down while weighing and checking in, nothing was wrong, zipper was in perfect condition (you can check the CC footage). It was a $150, new Samsonite bag.

After sometime two guys brought the baggage wrapped improperly, exposing contents. When I checked the bag the two flyers of the zipper are completely off the zipper chains and were kept inside bag. When I asked her how could I or anyone check in a bag in that condition, she had no answer. I asked her to either fix the bag or replace it as I had to flew onward with in a few hours. She said she couldn't do either of them but as per company policy she would pay me Rs 500 and she asked me to check if any thing missing.Later she checked the weight and said it matches the weight in records 22kg.

When I started demanding for proper solution she called the incharge ( Miss. Nimisha Valsin). Atleast she admitted it was damage that occurred somewhere during handling and transfer. But She said she could do nothing about it, she could neither replace the bag nor fix it but would pay me Rs 500 for the zipper. She said Indigo couldn't do anything Even though it was a clear mistake and improper handling of baggage.

When I demanded further she called her superior or customer care, she spoke with him for 10 or 15 min and passed it to me. Unfortunatly he was also saying the same thing again and again, Rs 500 compensation or nothing ( you should hear the conversation if you have recorded it)

I don't know what they are expecting me to do with that very generous amount, considering my situation and onward Flight. It was a total unacceptable careless attitude towards passenger as no one was even thinking for an alternative or a solution or care about passenger.

After I demanded further and further the incharge lady Miss Valsin came up with a second best solution (after initial generous Rs500). She said she would call some of her staff to fix it but could not guarantee that it would be any good . I was forced to accept and take a chance as i had no other option, in that limited hours of time. Somehow they managed to put the flyer in position (at the expense of further damage) and wrapped the bag.

When I reached my hotel the following day in Manchester, after a couple of times of opening and closing the zipper stopped working. Both the zipper chains and flyers are damaged from the way they handled the other day. I had to go out and purchase another baggage in my busy schedule.

I still cannot understand whether it's company policy or lack of training to the staff in handling the situations. How can anyone would talk about Rs 500 compensation in that situatuation. I still cannot understand what kind of policy is it. You have to think about the solution and fixing problem or damage you caused either by replacing bag or fixing the bag properly.

If you really care about customer i demand proper explanation for the conduct of the staff and total compensation, the full value of the bag $150 or Rs 10, 000. And my sincere advice to you is that never ever behave or treat any passenger like that.We are all paying alot of money for the so called service.

IndiGo Airlines luggage damaged but not compensated

On Wednesday, February 8, 2017, my wife and I flew from Coimbatore to Delhi by Indigo Flight 6E 985 to catch our flight to Chicago, USA. We were happy that the flight departed on time from Coimbatore and also arrived at Delhi on time. Upon picking our baggage, a large suitcase, however, we found it was damaged with a large hole on the side. We went to the customer service office at the terminal and reported the damage, and asked for a form to complain about it. The person at the office said that he could not do anything. When told about our trip back home to Chicago with a gaping hole in our suitcase and losing the contents in the long flight, the man wrapped the suitcase with several rounds of tape, and then offered a form in which I filled with my comments about the damaged suitcase. As repeat travelers from the USA on Indigo every time we visit India, we were surprised at the lack of customer service at the Delhi airport.

It has now been over several months since we took our Indigo flight to Delhi, but we have not heard any positive response back from Indigo. Although I attached pictures of the damaged suitcase with our boarding passes, the only response I received, to our dismay, stated erroneously that the damaged 'handle was due to wear and tear'. The picture I sent clearly indicates the damage was done to the suitcase body. Therefore, I request that Indigo compensate for our ruined baggage.

IndiGo Airlines theft in check in baggage

DEL to GOI 6E 505 (arrived in GOA at 12:45 am 23/Nov/2016)
PNR L69BRI
Luggage TAG [protected]

Expensive Liquor stolen from check in luggage.

The Lock was broken and an expensive bottle of Johnny Walker Gold Label Limited Edition worth Rs 8000 was stolen from the bag.
The zip was fine and I took notice of the broken lock when I reached my hotel in North Goa. Also, the luggage tag was peeled off and was stuck to the lock, hence I missed the broken lock at the airport when I picked the bag from the belt.
When I contacted the customer care - they hung up on me.

IndiGo Airlines flight experience - lost valuables in the check in baggage

Callousness and carelessness handling of Baggage ‪#‎goindigo
‬ I traveled by flight 6E-755 of Indigo airlines from Delhi – Mumbai on 4th May, 2016. On arrival, I found my 3 valuable watches costing more than 30, 000 where missing from my baggage and the empty boxes were still inside. When I tried making complaint at the airport, the so called help desk at Mumbai and Delhi didst help me and told me to make a compliant online. Now, it has been 15 days and I still haven't got any response from the indigo staff.
After witnessing the consistency in customer complaints against indigo, I have decided I will not let go of this issue so easily especially in wake of the mental agony and monetary losses that I have borne because of indigo. These flights cant shrug off from their responsibility by citing their silly rules when it comes to taking liability of losses caused by them. They should know they are dealing with empowered citizen and not helpless, unaware fellows!

IndiGo Airlines greed of kolkata security staff

This complaint is regarding the security staff (Mr Shivaji & Mr Koshik) of Indigo airlines. I was travelling from Delhi to Bangkok on 06th June 2015 and there was a stoppage at Kolkata (having flight number 6E 273) and unfortunately I forgot my mobile in the flight which was going to Agartala. I immediately reported to the airport authorities and they informed me that they have found the mobile and will be handed over to me on return journey. On 12th June 2015 when I reached the Airport after long harasment Mr Koshik (Senior Security Officer) told me that the staff member (who holds the lost/found goods) is not on the duty and taken the key of the locker with him, when he will come the mobile phone will be delivered to the Chandigarh/Delhi airport. I have made 100 phone calls to get my mobile back but it has not been delivered yet. Yesterday Mr Shivaji promised me to confirm the details of delivery but when no confirmation received then I called at [protected] and somebody told me that he is on leave every time I call at this number I receive answer "we will call you back", "Please call after 3 PM", "We will delivery mobile and give you details call tomorrow morning after 10 AM". I am continuously chasing for my mobile. Though it is not expensive mobile but it shows the greed of Kolkata security staff. My personal advise to the company is either raise the staff salary or try to appoint the honest staff members.

I have all the recording of the persons I talked and I will now lodge a police complaint against the persons involved.

Thanks & Regards

Amit Sharma

After all my next flight would be 12.45pm, boarding close at 1 hour earlier.. If I reach on time, I would be able to take this flight. However, I missed my flight, when I went to customer service, they told me connectivity time of flight is 1hour 30min as they are able to give me ticket. But when I asked to other airline they told me it's one hour and it's comman rule here... So.
