Last year, I a member of the India Today Book Club with membership no. ITBC [protected] placed an order along with prepayment in the form of bank draft for 4 books. Three books were received but one book 'Botanica' was not sent on the ground that it is not available in stock and will be sent once it is available. Even after passage of about 9 months, there has been no further communication. I desire that the ordered book is sent at the earliest.

India Today book Club has sent me 3 books via VPP and I have never ordered those books. Since I was traveling my wife have received parcel & paid money to postman. On my return I have spoken to customer care and they have said that return the books and we will refund your money. I have sent the books thru Blazeflash Courier # [protected] on July 5th and till date money is not refunded back. Now nobody answer this over phone.

I applied online for the books/cds and payment was also made online.Till today, neither I have received the books/cds nor any acknowledgment from the India Today Book Club. Mails sent to them are returned undelivered! Terrible service!

My experience with India Today Book Club has been good. I have been ordering a lot of things and have not faced any problem in delivery yet. For any kind of information one can usually dial their customer care at 011-[protected] or by sending an email at response@indiatodaybookclub.com.

India Today Book Club is an unethical organisation. The only motive they have in life is making money by fooling people. I think all the unfortunate victims of ITBC should stop their peers from participating in any offer from this fraud book club. As a fact there are over 2677 online compalints are registered against ITBC, god knows how many of them have been rectified or even attended. I think the consumer forum should consider this as a serious thing.
I seriously all to discourage your friends and peers to participate in any of the offers of ITBC. India Today Book Club is a FRAUD

i was book the shoe & Gogol before 2 month 7 u give me the wrong booking ID number. I was also contact Ur customer care 1 month but Ur managements are not give me the good response u can book my order 2 nd time but not give me the booking ID yesterday i call Ur customer care they told me Ur book this scheme.

I got an offer from india today book club through IRCTC for a Swatch Watch & benetton Watch for Rs. 2150/-
inclusive of Delivery charges.

Amount Paid in Advance : Rs 500/- Order Placed : 16th Feb, balance to be paid on delivery

Now its almost 2 months i have not recieved my package, it really bad and feel cheated from a Brand like indiatoday

Every time i Call up customer executibes give false promises & excuses, while booking the order it was told
the order will be delivered within 18 working days.

Stop Cheating people for publicity, stop giving offers which you cant fulfill

I am also a member of this book club and get my ordered books on time. Somehow, if somebody has some problem with book club, he can contact by phone or email and I definitely say to my friends that they will resolve your problem as soon as possible.

Dear All,
I too subscribed for few music CDs along with shoe & book pacage offer with ITBC.

I ordered it on 30thSep08. But i didnt receive my parcel. After continuous emails, they replied me like "Your parcel was sent on 16thOctober08. They have given a consignment number for the postal which they have sent. But they didnt mention where to track it, whether its a normal post or registered post or speed post.

I have sent emails many times and i called the customer care also. But no positive reply. They keep on replying like "We have sent the postal and check with your post man"

Really the customer care of ITBC is sick, I think my money Rs2500 is lost...

Also in my invoice (which i got via email), they have given web id, membership number. I tried login using this details in ITBC website. Its not working. I dont know what these people are doing...

I had taken this offer from ITBC wherein they were providing free return airticket and Adidas bag on buying their Books Buddy pack.When i got the pack 3 weeks ago there were no free gifts, instead they give me some codes and numbers to enter to register for free gifts on their website.It has ben 3 weeks now and the web does not accept the codes given by them.When you call the call center you get unhelpful representatives who parrot lines and the 5 times I called I was told supervisors are in a meeting.I have been writing to their mail response team and all theese people write back is to give them the codes which i have provided 4 times but to no avail.Are there more people who have been cheated like this by ITBC? I am really disgusted and feel cheated by their behaviour and scam.

I am Gulappa Hallur and I had ordered an Enclclopedia Jumbo Pack for Rs. 574/- ( including delivery Charges) upon seeing your promotional email. That email had promise an assured Gifts a adidas bag worth Rs 499 and holidays pacakge worth Rs 2990/-. But I was very disapointed to just receive a pack of 3 CD Rom's Only.

The Parcel contained no mention about that promised Gifts.

Honestly Speaking I am very Disappointed and forced to mention that YOU ( INDIA TODAY GROUP )has so far failed to deliver the assured Gifts a adidas bag worth Rs 499 and holidays pacakge worth Rs 2990/.

I applied for Britannica encyclopedia online seeing your add which I recd thru email. after getting the letter from the post office about the books arrival, I sent my person with the money to receive it, thinking it will be the same book I had opted for. but unfortunately I had recd sidney shelton book, Mars and venus collide, namesake and how to get from...be. I am unhappy with your deal and when your office was contacted, I was told to return the books. I was also told that the offers which were for the encyclopedia is available for these books too. I was promised some tupperware boxes and surat diamond gift voucher for Rs.5000. don't know if all this is real or to just fool people ! I did not expect this kind of a service from INdia today !

I too have faced a similar problem where the good have been delivered with a false assurance of a saving through free gift which are not claimable since the web site mention does not exist. Is there legal support in such cases of breach of trust and intention to cheat.

Hi Support,
I have made numerous complaints about the gift that has been promised to me for becoming a member of book club, not reaching me till date.
My Membership No is ITBC08396178

I have talked to customer support number of times. I have been given complaints no 53340, 0G08054542 –Priya (Customer Support Executive). Today aso when I called, I was told that they will check in their system and will let me know.
Secondly, I have paid by Credit Card (HSBC) for SAAZ CD’s and also was assured a FREE Deluxe Holidays. But till date has not yet received the CD’s or the Holidays, though an amount of Rs.801/- (Monthly Installment) has already been deducted from my account.

I don’t understand, how come a respected organization like India Today can cheat there customers with money. Is it they are making ways to take money from customers, to pay salary to their employess. Its rather shameful.
