Image Development Online / Fraudulent company

1 Thousand Oaks, CA, United States Review updated:
Contact information:

I contacted Image Development and came in for an interview/audition. I waited an hour and a half past my appointment time and was finally ushered in and made to read some crappy commercial script.

The woman who 'auditioned' me is Nicole Sutton. She is supposedly the president. She told me she liked my look and then told me that their is a one time charge of $350 to place my headshot in a flyer that gets sent out to every agency in town.

She then told me that the agencies would contact her and she would in turn contact me to audition for these agencies. She claimed that the flyer would be sent out at the beginning of the following month, so I only had a few weeks to send her the headshots I wanted her to put in the flyer.

Three months went by after I sent her a disc of my headshots and I never heard anything.

I called the office a million times and the receptionist said Nicole wasn't in. I wanted to know when these agencies would be contacting me. Finally, four months after giving her my headshots, I received in the mail a ###, half assed flyer that was 'sent out' to all these agencies.

Needless to say, I never heard from them again nor did I ever hear from an agency. I can't believe I lost over $300 to these people. It also took over an hour to get there from Hollywood, so I wasted my gas too.

Please, especially if you are new to LA, these people will feed off of you and tell you whatever you want to hear to get you to spend money. They will tell you that you need new headshots (which is an additional fee tacked on to the $350) and acting classes (also an additional fee)

It may very well seem legit at first, but it is not, I know first hand. Take a stand against these people if you have been scammed. Report them!

It looks like you were just not pleased with your results. We were there with my daughter 3 years ago. We particpated in the flyer. They DO NOT make any guarantees.
They do mail the flyer out to agents, it is just that no agents contacted them about your particular photo. We had better results. My daughter got signed to an agency. She is booing union projects now. Not every single person that goes through ANY program or acting showcase will get an agent. It is hit or miss. It depends on what "look" agents are looking for at that exact time. It sounds like they gave you what you paid for. They sold you a spot on thier flyer, which has worked for many others, you just weren't one of them.
