IKEA most regrettable frustrating experience... (loyalty id 6275980365025385124 - ikea, india)

Hello,

Your merchandise is good - but checkout process at hyderabad (india) is the pits. And we thought it ended there.

Pls read our ordeal.

Ordered a besta set (order no 129731). After spending over 75 mins with an under-trained staffer, he tells us that the shutters are not in stock and we need to raise a request (or some such). We were so frustrated having spent that 75 mins, we reluctantly agreed to proceed. He said per company policy, he cannot take a booking and we can only reserve. We agreed.

When asked, we said we need the cabinet delivered/fitted/installed, and he charged the requisite fee.

After a few days we received an sms stating that the reserved item had arrived and we need to go back to ikea and pay (no other payment mode was acceptable). So we traverse across the city, spend 4 hours back and forth, just to pay for the shutters (order no [protected]).

Our experience while paying for the order and just handing it over from one counter to the very next... Is yet another story. That by itself took us 90 minutes!

All along we are informed a cabinet fixing date of 8th oct.

Today, your 2 associates arrive and have no clue what to do. They keep trying to contact your support centre for a good 45 mins.

For starters, they say we have to move the material to the exact location (a few meters away) where it is to be fitted and they will only install. They refuse to touch the material until that is done. Then they are unable to find the centre of the wall... Then one of the associates mistakenly puts the order picture in her took kit and we waste another 30 minutes looking for the same... And this drama goes on for a while.

At the end of this all, they say that they will only fit the base cabinet and not the shutters. And the reason is that their instruction is silent on the shutters.

Again they call the support centre and some anita tells them (after multiple conversations lasting over 2 hours) that they can install the shutters only after a shutter installation amount of rs 1500 is paid.

Please note : we had bought the complete cabinet with installation.

And furthermore, the fitters tell us that we have to go back to ikea and pay the additional shutter fixing amount if we want the cabinet shutters fitted.

And they do exactly that - fit the cabinet and leave.

And now we are left with the shutters in our lap.

Are you guys for real?

I have never come across a more illogical, high-handed, abrupt, hair-brained, care-a-damn organisation.

We are now petrified - we have more orders placed and therefore, more installations to be done... Seems we have bought ourselves a series of nightmares!

IKEA failed to deliver

I placed an on-line order on the morning of 9/7/18 with an estimated delivery date of 9/18/18 that still has not been delivered.

I received a call on Tuesday 9/25/18 from XPO to schedule a delivery which was confirmed for Wednesday the 26th. Received another call canceling that delivery and had to call to reschedule. I called back and delivery was rescheduled for Thursday the 27th, which I received another call canceling that delivery too. I called to reschedule yet again, Friday was not an option for delivery so we scheduled for Saturday the 29th our wedding anniversary by the way. Received a call that the estimated delivery time would be between 9am and 9pm, ridiculous! So we were stuck in the house waiting for our late delivery... THAT NEVER SHOWED UP! I called at 8pm, because it was late and we have never had such a late delivery and wanted to get an eta. I was told then that the time was from 9am to 1pm for delivery, but it never made the truck because XPO was unable to locate in their warehouse.

The level of disregard for the value of your customers time is extremely disheartening and lack of urgency in correcting the matter is truly alarming, as I have yet to receive my order.

IKEA service

The staff is inefficient I flew to Hyderabad from Mumbai specially to purchase goods from Ikea. I was ready to close my bill at 7 15 pm but unfortunately till 9 40 pm the staff was unable to close my bill and I had to leave everything and leave to catch my flight back to Mumbai it was waste of day and money for me and it's been 5 workings days no one has called me to solve this issue inspite of repeadly calling them .
I have all the names of the employees and all the proofs
The store manager John is aware of this issue but hasn't called me since 5 days . Its EXTREMLY disappointing how this issue has been neglected by the employees of ikea, India. I'm an interior designer and I will surely let the design community of Mumbai know how untrained and unprofessional the employees of ikea are and how no importance has been given to my repetative calls and complains.

IKEA bekant screen for desk

Hi, My name is Selda Ozdemir and I am a professor in Hacettepe University in Turkey. I bought a Bekant desk for my office, and my university provided me with two newly used bekant screens for desk grey, 47. Unfortunately these bekant screens do not have its clips. So I called the customer service and tell them that I would like to buy the clips. But Unfortunately customer service did not care at all and asked me for the receipt. I explained them that Hacettepe University bought the screens couple of years back and I do not have access the receipt. They told me that they can not do anything without the receipt to help me. This should not be a way to treat customer. I wander what I can do to solve this problem. Without its clips these screens useless. My phone number is 90 [protected] and I live in Ankara. IKEA delivery service

Purchase a closet on 09/02 from Ikea in Palo Alto, CA. Order # [protected].
The assembling was NOT done correctly and we went to the store on 09/10 asking for a replacement.

A replacement of parts were ordered ([protected])and supposed to be delivered and assembled on 09/15. Driver no show on that day without notification.
Went to the store on 09/15 and re-delivery appointment was made for 09/20. Driver no show again on that day.

We were so angry and went to the store again to complain this situation. Another delivery was made on 09/23. Driver showed up but did not bring any parts so they just tried to fix the problems of the Closet.

The person who have guaranteed us to follow up on our order and complain did not respond to our 5 voice messages that have left on her extension on 09/23, 09/24 and 09/26. (Name: Laura Jan | phone# [protected] ext. 1450).

I am extremely unsatisfied with my order. I am demanding for a compensation on my order and the time that I have taken a day off on 09/20 to wait for the driver whom did not show up.

Also, the phone# [protected] never be able to reach to a live person.

IKEA basket wardrobe

I rang customer service few times but they didnt answer as i tried again and they kept me on hold for over 45 minutes and still didnt answer the telephone, is this your customer service .
Is this how customer get through to you and how do customer get intouch with you if they have a problem and cant get to the nearest store this is not how you run a big buissness .

IKEA delivery

I have been trying to reach IKEA UK without success for a while.
I have placed an order online:[protected]. I paid for it but delivery never took place and although I have been trying to reach customer services to understand why, I never get a reply. You would appreciate that this is time consuming.

Could you kindly let me know what the issue was while also issuing a refund given that the delivery never took place?

IKEA employees

Your employees are horrible at the NJ Elizabeth Store. The women running the ball room harassed my child as no other kids were in the ballroom and she did not want to be bothered waiting it as she was going on break shortly. They the girl selling ice cream would not sell me plain ice cream in a cup vs a cone, she said I have to pay full price for a sundae? These negative local employees will surely stop is higher wage shoppers from going to your store if this continues, Teach the employees respect and customer service please and not have so much negative attitude.

IKEA kitchen delivery never done

Regarding ikea, Greece (Kifisos), order No [protected] (September 11th)

We paid for a kitchen 3.000 euros, the delivery was scheduled for September 18th (between 9 am and 5pm). We have travelled 130 Km the morning of the delivery (since we are living in an other town) but the arrival of the kitchen never done. We tried to contact several times ikea (in Kifisos store) and talk with a representative or with the customer service but they were not able to find what had happened and give as a reasonable response. Finally we travelled back home and the next day they told us (after several phone calls) that the delivery was rescheduled for September 20th.

We travelled again to the town of the supposed delivery the morning, waiting all day, but nothing arrived. Again we made dozens phone calls, with no person responsible to give us an explanation.

We are still waiting for the arrival of the kitchen. I think we have done a serious mistake of choosing the ikea for the purchase of the new kitchen. Unfortunately, 11 days without a reasonable response for the delay, spending hours travelling and calling the store, made us realize that the store in Greece is not working in a professional level.

I wait for a resolve of the problem from you.

IKEA non scheduled delivery on day

I went to Lisbon on purpose, being from Almada, to prescribe a merchandise purchased in Alfragide, on September 11, 2018 and scheduled delivery to the 19th in the window from 2 to 6 pm. I lost half a day of work, I lost money because I am discounted for each fault. At 20:00 they send a message saying that it will not be possible to make the delivery and to contact the 800 ... I contacted promptly to receive the answer that there is nothing to do and can only schedule for day 24. Poor service, a dismay for me as an IKEA customer, a disappointment with this brand, which I thought was impossible. Worst IKEA employee, Joana Oliveira, was very unprofessional, uneducated and unintelligent to the situation, telling me to go to the store. Officials who take their stand for IKEA are a disgrace.

IKEA assembly team did not show up due to the ikea agent negligence.

Extremely disappointed and angry! With the negligence or the salesperson and the whole team who let this happen.
I placed the order and paid for both the delivery and assembly IN STORE and asked that lady three times to make sure its both together and she acted very annoyed and not really friendly. And today when I took the day off work so I can be home for the delivery and assembly, the assembly did not happen! And the company that Ikea hires for that had no idea they were supposed to assemble as well because there was no order from IKEA to do so. And we waited for this delivery/assembly for 10 (!) days!
Now I need somebody to fix this quick and reimburse for the day off that I took and come to assemble asap. This is ridiculous! And unrespectful and make nice people like me become really angry and furious! And nobody on the line is taking responsibility or doing anything!

IKEA rude staff

Hi ikea,
This is HARI from hyderabad and yesterday I stepped into ikea store for the very first time along with my wife and 12 months old daughter and as I was checking the stuff in the kids area I came across a gentleman (IKEA staff - probably the floor manager) yelling at me for making my daughter sit on one of the bunk beds."I don't understand why people don't read the instructions, people have had broken bones and head injuries yet they don't change" said the voice in a very stern and rude manner. While i realised about the instructions only after hearing him, i thought this was no way a customer should be treated. I left the section surprised as i was in no mood of confronting the gentleman. I certainly was not expecting such treatment from ikea and while I believe it would not make much of a difference to ikea but my family of 12 shall definitely not be it's customers, not in the near future at least and all because of an indecent and immature staff...

IKEA did not get a refund

On July 30th I bought an Ikea bed with a delivery online for 444$. The delivery was schedule for August 10th. As I call the day before verify the exact time I was notified there are significant delays to my area and they will provide the bed in another 2 weeks. Since I needed a bed sooner I decided to cancel. I canceled the order on August 14th with a promise I will get the delivery fees as well due to the delay.
I was promised to get the money up to 10 business days. After 10 days passed with no refund I called again, but couldn't get them on the phone.

IKEA kitchen planning and installation

I had a Kitchen planner design a kitchen for me, his name was Heath, he added stuff that is discontinued, and therefore totally screwed up the measurements and installation, my kitchen is not what I expected, it was supposed to be flush, it is not, it has been a nightmare, the Installation by Traemand was totally messed up, parts where missing and delivered lateral in all there is no customer service on your side.The telephones are not answered, and the 6 emails to customer service were never answered also, I have disputed the charges with American Express, for somewhat of a refund as this is not acceptable and the Kitchen looks nothing like on the plan

IKEA bedroom furniture

I have bought my bedroom furniture from IKEA on Tuesday and paid more than $3700 in two stores. However, the items were missing hardware pieces and with scratches. I decided to go and get the hardware and they gave me wrong pieces!
I paid for the moving company 500$ and then 50$ to get the missing pieces. Now I am at home dying because all the items they gave to me were wrong and useless for the furniture I have!

IKEA delivery service

I have a pending delivery that was supposed to be delivered the 1st of September, I tried to contact customer service by email and I never got any response regarding my order, I called customer service by phone and it cost me 50 euros for the call where the customer service team told me that the next day available will be the 8th of September, that is 1 week late when I placed thw order 5 days before moving to my new apartment. I'm moving house tomorrow and I need the things on the order as there is the mattress on that order, I intend to make a formal complaint regardin this as the customer service is terrible and it cost me more than the delivery service to be able to contact someone. My wife is 6 months pregnant and we are not planning to sleep on the floor on the new apartment for a mistake that was made by IKEA Ireland.

IKEA delivery (ikea t-force)

I bought a mattres and bed set from ikea. The delivery should be arrived on 25/8. Then I got a phone call from ikea, the guy said they dont have one of the item on store, so I reschedule to 31/8. Now, some unconfirmed issue, t-force did not delivery my package and I need to wait unitl next tuesday which is 9/4 to reschedule my order. I slept on the floor a week. I call t-force and ikea so many time this week.

IKEA kitchen delivery and setting

I bought an IKEA kitchen and hired their delivery and setting services. One of their workers sexually harassed me as I was alone in the house and they drilled through a gas pipe that was left covered by their cabinets with a leak for 3 weeks as IKEA failed to give a fast response and solution, putting my life and the safety of the building in danger, as they were arguing that the company they sub hire to set their furniture doesn't take responsability and didn't have openings in their schedule to remove the cabinets for the pipe to be fixed. Until today IKEA didn't take responsability, didn't refund the money spent fixing the pipe or offered any compensation for the personal damage caused to me and the risk they put me int.

IKEA pending replacement and reimbursement

I will write this sad story about my first and last encounter with IKEA with facts only, and leave it to the readers, to form their own opinion:

• On 30.07.2018 I placed an order with IKEA in Bucharest, which among others included a large mirror and a 4-section wardrobe.

• The goods were delivered on 04.08.2018, and when unpacking, it was discovered that the large mirror and one section of the wardrobe was damaged.

• During the following two weeks I emailed IKEA four times and informed about the damages, and each time I received an auto-reply in which IKEA promised to revert, which they never did.

• On 17.08.2018 I spent a very long time in IKEA's telephone-queue, before I got through to an employee who claimed IKEA did not receive any emails from me (the ones I received auto-replies on). He promised to arrange for replacement of the damaged wardrobe on 22.08.2018, and he agreed to reimburse the damaged mirror and not replace it, and I immediately emailed the bank account details.

• On 22.08.2018 the promised replacement did not happen, and the mirror had not been refunded, and again I spent a very long time getting through to IKEA on phone, just again to be promised that now they would refund me and replace the damaged wardrobe.

• Today, 27.08.2018, I again spend a long time getting through to IKEA on phone, to ask why they had had still not reimbursed me and replaced the damaged wardrobe. This time the employee told me to call their logistics contractor myself - which of cause I refused - and he admitted IKEA had received my bank account details on 17.08.2018, but had done nothing with them, but that I could expect reimbursement on 31.08.2018.

Status today - exactly four weeks of having placed the order:

• IKEA owe me the reimbursement for the damaged mirror they picked up today.
• IKEA found the time to pick up the damaged wardrobe section, but they did not deliver the replacement (quite telling for how they prioritize) and I still only have half the wardrobe assembled.
