IHOP service - poor

Tonight my family went to IHOP in Sulphur Springs to eat. My husband ordered 2 eggs over easy, he got one hard cooked egg. Bacon was missing. He asked for it and it arrived at the end of the meal. My children requested ketchup and Picanto sauce which arrived at the end of the meal also. My son asked for gravy which he never got. The waitress came by with the check. My husband gave her $60 for a $41 bill and we never saw her again. If this were the first or only time it would be one thing but this is every single time we eat there. This restaurant has the poorest service ever.

IHOP service

Me and my five year old daughter went to eat lunch. The waitress was very short with me. Whereas the college students that were a different color were met with a smile courtesy and willingness to serve them and keep them happy with her service.She introduced herself to the other customers but never to me. She never came to offer refills. I am a African American and I work hard and my money and time is as important as anyone else's. But due to this experience this was the first and the last time we will ever go to this restaurant.

IHOP service

I visited ihop in franklin tn on Dec 5 2017. When we were seated the table was dirty after being seated we waited 20 mins! And not a single person came to our table and asked us about drinks or greeted us. The waitress walked past us 4 time and never spoke a word. She also brought the people beside us food and drinks (which were messed up) and still never spoke a word. We got up and left and still noone cared to loose business. I will definitely tell people this place is a joke and a waste of money. I will never return to ihop again id rather go to waffle house.

IHOP managers

Went to eat at ihop in clovis nm december 2 around 10:30pm, I overheard a tall slim hispanic male being a rude to one of his servers that was helping the other servers, she was taking people their food and went to the front where the food is kept to grab more and the manager told her "when you get here you need to check peoples [censor]" the young server told him nothing was filled up and she will do it which she did do, when the manager walked off I heard him say a rude comment about the young lady. This namager straight up called the young girl a [censor]. She seemed like she wanted to cry. You could tell just by looking at the young lady. This manager needs to get fired or something. That is no way to talk to you employees especially when they were helping someone else out!

IHOP customer service

On Friday, 24 November, my family of 8 went to visit IHOP and arrived at 11:30am. At 11:35, we were told it will be a 20 minute wait. After 30 minutes, I asked how much longer? Kylee acted like she forgot and said another 10 minutes. At 12:20, it was really upsetting to continue waiting. I had asked Kylee could she not had put two tables together to accommodate my family, especially since two of my nieces are 6 months pregnant? She said, "I am not allowed to do that and there is another IHOP down the street." Now, I am furious! I asked to see the manager who's name is Miguel. Normally, I am pretty patient. Being in the military, I always look at every angle and see if there is a solution. After explaining to Miguel that we have been waiting almost an hour and Kylee indirectly told us to go to another IHOP, I was really upset. His response was, "So what do you want me to do?" This is a manager? I'm sorry, but IHOP needs to train their employees better and send their managers to managerial training.

IHOP food and service

Our server was rude and didn't serve us very well we ordered food and I made a mistake and she looked at me rudely while proceeding to write it down. She asked if I would like my plate split with the other person with me and when she brought us out our food it was cold and there wasn't much at all I compared it to the last few times we split it and it seemed as if they took some away from our plates

IHOP horrible and racially motivated poor service

My family and I arrived at 10:30 am to restaurant for breakfast in good spirits. After being seated in 15 Minutes, we arrived at our table. A middle age blond hair Caucasian waitress took our order. This was after walking by our table back and forth 4 times. We gave our drink order (coffees and water). She brought those back in about 7-10 Minutes.

A whopping 60 minutes later (according to my phones timer), she attempted to bring our breakfast making excuses the whole time blaming the kitchen, whereas the same kitchen had prepared and sent our at least 3 other tables that we observed that was seated after us.

It appears that we were the victims this morning of outright and blatant discrimination due to our ethnic background. We are African-American, and we observe the waitress serving other tables of patrons of a different races and them getting much more attentive service.

My husband asked to see the manager who apparently didn't value our customer complaint and did not bother to come to our table to address the issue. Instead the manager sent a host who said to us that the manager was on the phone.

Their behavior is totally unresponsive leaving us no choice but to contact our attorney; however I wanted to inform corporate of how badly we had been treated at iHop Restaurant in Southaven, MS. We are outraged by this incident.

IHOP management

We visited your Ihop store in the villages on Wednesday the 15th of November and started out with our server being Jessica and then ended up with a server named Erica which also did a lot of other tables. We all looked at each and observed the server Jessica just walk off and leave the restaurant while she was serving us. Overheard our new server Erica and a older lady with short blonde hair say that this is like the 9-10th time that she has walked off in the middle of her shift, that it seems to be a once a month thing and nothing is ever done to her because she happens to be the bosses girlfriend and how it won't effect her because he still pays her minimum wage until she decides to come back. My table and a couple of other tables all looked at each other like come back she left us and she can come back? This is normal? Well we aren't used to this kind of normal and Jessica ended up being rude and having bad attitude and if she didn't think that her customers were watching then she was wrong! This is all wrong and we just got in from Connecticut and this is usually our breakfast spot but not if this is gonna keep on happening. Just thought I would pass on our experience on to you! Thank You!

Did you ask for a supervisor? It might not result in anything, but hearing from customers would probably resonate more strongly with management than hearing from employees (sadly).

IHOP long wait and bad customer service

On Sunday, November 19, 2017 around 11:45AM, I left IHOP due to the long wait and lack professionalism among the staff. When I arrived to meet my father at 11:20AM, who had been waiting for 25 minutes prior to my arrival, there were no hosts or cashiers to greet me or the 8 people that were standing near the podium when I arrived. There were over 30 people in the waiting area and some families left. During this time no one came to check on us or explain why the wait to be seated was taking so long. I noticed that as families who finished eating were leaving and tables were being cleans off no one was coming to seat us. Even the person bringing to go orders did not acknowledge anyone waiting but the person receiving food. After 10 minutes a waitress walked up to the host booth, peeked at the list and walked back without saying anything to us waiting. After another 10 minutes an employee (not a manager) came to look at the list of people waiting when approached by a customer to see when people would be seated. The employee had an attitude and complained that they were going to leave because they couldn't take this. When the customer stated that there were tables and they should be seated the employee replied, "I don't know how many times I have to tell y'all for y'all to understand that the cook is not producing orders fast enough and if I seat you all then you will be waiting for your food for over an hour." The employee was still talking to the customer with the same attitude and tone when I left.

This is just one of the incidents that I've encountered. Many times I've witnessed people walk out due to the wait or the hosts or cashier would be complaining in front of customers.I've seen customers be seated and then forgotten about after they've waited for 30 minutes to be seated. Also, I've never seen a manager come to alleviate any of the waiting conflicts or help speed things up. The waitresses typically do not help out and ignore customers in the waiting area.

The wait is understandable, but none of the employees seem to know how to diffuse angry customers or talk with empathy to customers.

My resolution recommendation: I would like for IHOP headquarters to send uncover managers or directors to dine at this IHOP location and evaluate it. I believe IHOP directors and officers need to revamp the entire staff at this location to make the dining experience more pleasant. Perhaps customer training workshops or seminars. If that cannot happen then that location should be closed since it is starting to receive a bad reputation. I will no longer eat that the Laburnum IHOP location.

IHOP very poor management

I had an interview today at 3 pm at 3511 Steelyard Drive Cleveland, OH 44109. I got there at 2:52 and told a waitress about my appointment. I heard her when she went to the back and said my name loud to the manager and then said I don't know I guess he's early.
After a few minutes a guy waiter came up to me and I told him about my interview. He said oh, come this way you could sit in the back and I'll tell the manager. He then asked if I wanted something to drink and I said yeah, a sprite.
After sitting for about 12 to 14 minutes I got tired of waiting for the drink and gave up on it. I also noticed that the manager was actually the guy I saw hanging out about 18 feet away from me in some corner. He kept going back and forth to the back every couple minutes so I thought maybe he's busy but there were about 10 customers in the restaurant.
No one ever came to check up on me so I decided this was a bad place to work and decided to leave. Upon reaching the front area the waiter that never cared to bring me a drink or check on me saw me and said "oh the manager is right here" as he pointed to the office.
So I decided to give it a go and went to the office. The manager stared at me for a while because he had no idea who I was. He didn't even know what to do. He had to look for the application and after a few minutes I had to start helping the guy.
I said My name is Ruben because he never introduced himself or handshake NOTHING! Anyways he pulled out an app and the name on it said Robin so I said again "It's Ruben." He started saying that I'm going to have to fill out another app and I said "I filled it out yesterday." He finally saw my app right in front of his face the whole time with a note that said Interview at 3 pm and I did notice another interview app for someone else. I felt bad for that person.
He said he'll meet me again at the back for the interview so I said ok and went. By this time I did not want to work at that restaurant at all. I did wait another 8 minutes before I decided to officially leave for good. As I walked I told the heartless guy waiter to tell the manager forget it.
That was the most horrible interview I've ever had in my entire life. I will never even step inside a Ihop restaurant again. I wouldn't even waste my time writing this but that was how bad it was.

IHOP unprofessional management

I went to the Saint Joseph IHOP this morning around 9am. I am a former employee...it's been about a year since I've worked there. I was there with my boyfriend and we had already got our drinks and were waiting for our food to come out. We had been sitting there for a while when the District Manager, my former General Manager Jennifer Jackson came to my table telling me that I am banned from the store because of a negative comment I made on Facebook about my experience working there. She told me I can't say bad things about the store and then come eat there. I told her I thought that was a stupid/ridiculous to ban someone from eating there and she made us leave.

I went to discuss a job, manger tells another worker to talk to night manager about me working at ihop about a hour later general manager texts another night person and says tell her to find a job somewhere else she cant work here ive never worked here before, but has her daughter and boyfriend working there together ... I need to know if thats aginst ihop laws ?

It appears that iHop restaurants are franchised so it would simply be up to the location owner. Either way, they do not have to hire you, and even if the daughter and boyfriend were terminated I doubt that would change the manager's mind.

IHOP the ihop experience at 22610 bellaire blvd, richmond, tx 77406

On Saturday, November 11, my son and I dined at this IHOP. We had actually had a negative experience before with this same location but decided to give it another try. We will never return. First, there was no hostess or other person seating and although the restaurant was not busy AT ALL (5 tables filled) we waited for almost 15 minutes with nobody acknowledging our presence. We flagged someone down from the back and then got seated. We noticed that people that came after us were similarly ignored. Once seated, although now only 4 tables filled in the restaurant, we received no water, no silverware, no greeting by any server. We had to get up to go to the back of the restaurant by the kitchen where FOUR employees were standing around and talking to ask if we could be served. A waiter, Alexis, came to the table without greeting. She didn't bring silverware and didn't notice it wasn't there. She took the order incorrectly. The pancakes arrived with a wet, mushy spot on top. Nobody checked back. We got up and got our own silverware. Nobody refilled drinks, in fact, Alexis didn't check back at all. At least 5 employees were talking with each other and standing around. The tables and the restaurant were FILTHY. When we arrived, the tables had not been cleaned. The bus cart was left out unattended. At least 1/2 of the restaurant was dirty and STAYED dirty. NOBODY cleaned up the mess! An HOUR later after we sat down, we were STILL looking at the mess despite MANY employees standing around talking in the back. When I paid my bill (had to again get up and get the server) she brought me the wrong change and kept some. When I asked her about it, she replied "Well, I didn't have change to give back to you." Excuse me! It was outrageous. Then, she tossed a dollar at me.
I have never seen such a poorly, mismanaged restaurant in my life and I am 60 years old. There is NO excuse for the laziness I witnessed there and the negligent service. I am including photos of what we ate next to for the hour!
I am asking, at a minimum, for a refund for our meal which was cold and terrible and not as ordered. The meal was approximately $ 10.00 but, frankly, you should do more considering what we experienced.

IHOP rude host staff

Several times Daniel L, has been very rude to me as I tried to order food, mostly during the evening. I reported it to Renee on 11/9/2017, but she didn't seem to care & excused it several different ways during our conversation. I returned to the IHOP #1717, a few days afterwards & wad Rudely Refused Service by 2 female hostesses, Aptox. 8pm 11/12/2017. I wasn't there long enough to say much more than "can I get a menu" when the shorter waitress ignored me & left to gossip with the other, then come back to lobby area, & Refuse me out the reastuant. I left & return home, called the phone # on receipt, got busy signal at least 4-5x, answered 2x, both by woman & hung up on, iboth times. Then called again, 2x more, & the same voice hung up opon me still, as i, said "I need to speak to your manager". The hostesses both made desperate attempts to deny my complaint, avoid being reported as Rudely as they are/were & continued to deny me service, to place an order, get food, for no real reason towards them, specifically. So I now need/require these people Own up to their actions & behavior, plus apologise to me for being so unwilling to simply complete the order & let me leave with the food, paid for & gone.
Am I supposed to just be treated badly, without standing up for myself ? Or does I hope encourage this rude behavior ? Seeing how these hosts made it I'm possible to contact the Manager, it shows that they were aware of their own wrongs & tried to deny me from reporting it to the proper authorities.

IHOP service

November 12 @ approx 11:00
I went to the IHOP by Bruckner and was asked how many people, informed the person (male) just myself... he said I would wait at least 5-10 mins!
More people kept coming in. He's calling parties of 5, 6, 3 and then preceded to call Patty of 2... this while waiting more than 20 mins!
I went over to him and asked when are you going to call Party of 1 ?

He told me there were no seats for 1 !
By this time I'm getting really irritated!
I asked him how can you called Party of 2
And disregard me who has been waiting by this point a long while! If you call Party of 2 then you definitely have a seat for 1!
How do you rationalize that!

This kind of customer service is unacceptable and unnecessary ! I can just imagine how many people such as myself have walked out furious cause we couldn't get a seat for one person! Isn't that discrimation... just cause I went myself and not with a party of 5or 6 im not taken care of!

Never attending a IHOP again!
I'll rate your service as the worst possible score of "1" .

IHOP night shift server in bathroom doing drugs

Walked into mens restroom and the server that was working alone that night was shooting up in the stall. He was obviously very high and I hope I never see him working in that restaurant again. Dont you drug test your emplouees. Sick. Server was lance. And you may want to have more than two people working. I was shocked that there was not even a manager on site to speak to.

Today Nov.4 my family and my self we decided to go and have breakfast at IHOP in Bell Gardens Ca 90201! I came in and I said my name and for how many people so I'm there waiting and then i see the lady in front calling everyone that came after me and I go and I ask her I think it's not far that I'm here waiting for almost 1 hr and u keep calling people the came after me and she said oh okay I'm really sorry! Okay that happen after they seat me down in my table we having breakfast I get up to go to the restroom with my kids when I came back they already had pick up everything from my table when I told the lady that it was helping me I will be back am take my kids to the restroom! And she said okay ! After I told her that I came back to my table and my table was already clean ! I think this is not professional . And I'm really upset ! 😡😡😡😡😡😡They didn't give me any discount nothing and that's why I'm doing this complaint...

IHOP poor customer service

Every time I call IHOP in Albany GA the lady answer the phone with a attitude the employees always talking and laughing goofing round that's poor customer service but I am going to call the head people Monday because those types of people shouldn't be working at no good restaurant and I really want something done about that I coke and sit and eat there well not anymore and I really hope You get those poor customer service people out of thier

IHOP restaurant closing hours

we came to your IHOP restaurant in Riverside California on Alessandro Boulevard we got to your restaurant about 9:40 p.m. and we're instructed that they would be closing within the next few minutes just to let us know on the door it says that you close at 10 p.m. is this usually the practice of a restaurant. I work at the University and are our state on the door we open at 8 a.m. and we close at 4 p.m. we can't close earlier than 4 p.m. I would like someone to contact me in regards to this
