IHOP concerned employee

Hello my name is Jennifer and Im a regular at ihop on little road.
I'm writing about the incident Tuesday 10/31/17
Yes there was a wait at the door. The customer who had the problem was already upretty about the wait. When it was her time to be seated my party was sat as well. WE HEARD EVERYTHING.
Ronnie, her server came over greeted the table, apoligized about the wait. Immediately the lady asked for discounts due to waiting. Ronnie expressed her apology again and tried to proceed with the order. The older lady, because there where two and two children, gave her server a hard time.
The server got the order but stopped and greeted another table to let them no she would be back. (That waitress had about 4 tables of 4 to 6 guests)
When she returned with there food, Ronnie asked if anything else was needed..and informed the lady the rest of the food was coming. As soon as she walked off she ask an employee who was walking by for hot syrup. Server came back with food. Asked again was anything needed and was everything ok. The older lady didn't say anything. But complained that her food was cold and said the grits didnt have butter. While her server was talking another order she rudely turned around and said she needed butter. Server said ok. But tried to finish the table's order. The lady said she wasn't paying for her food the whole service due to not getting attenRion when she wanted. Her server came back and asked was everything OK. No answer. She placed the checked on the table. Guessing it was on edge, because it fell on the floor. And that's when the lady made her decision to leave because she felt her server had an attitude.
I come to ihop every week, haven't had the chance to be waited by Ronnie but we see how hard she works to please her guests. Smiling, checking on them, etc. A very good waitress.
Cashier at times to. As I stated earlier the was a wait, so everyone heand her initiate the situation. It was busy and Ronnie cashed her but she wanted a manager. Saw from my seat the hand gesture to step aside she had moreceived customers ton attend to. Something the lady said made the server get the manager immediately. As she was talking Ronnie stood silenty. We all heard "that Lil b need to get her s together " server then walked off. The manager on duty should have made her leave.
But everyone can only hold it together for so long. The server was outside ready to confront the situation. Yes that was wrong move. But the customer shouldn't have been able to say what she said. That's a good server and I've never seed her get mad. But anybody would after being called a b#

IHOP employment

Hi my name is Gayle Van Wyhe I am writing a complaint about working at the IHOP ON STETSON HILLS IN COLORADO SPRINGS CO. I worked there for about 7 or 8 months. I actually really loved working there. I will make this short and to the point i have always worked for IHOP in the past I met my husband at IHOP 8 years ago and we started working together about a year ago. I have never had any problems working with him we actually never talked and we were always very professional. I had a male friend at work that my husband was not a big fan of. I went to work one day and my husband came out and said we cant work there anymore. the day before i was called into the office by the manager linda and she said the relationship that i was having with my friend was not professional and we had to stop so i agreed and left at that. the next day linda had told my husband in the office that i was having an affair with this other employee. I have always been told that managers are not aloud to speak with other employees do to the manager employee rule. my husband and i were two different employees and i was already talked to the day before so im not sure its fair not only did she take my job away but she ruined my family and we have 6 kids. I have never heard that it is ok for a manger to be gossiping about another employee to another employee weather or not we are married. I hope that something happens to her as well just because i lost my job. i was making good money i was a good employee then i got transfered to a new ihop on fillmore and there was no money there. I think this was against the law and i feel like i should be able talk to someone about her actions. thank you for taking the time to listen.

IHOP food/service

Went in and ordered a Togo order which took a hour and 15mins in all to get my food. When I did finally received it was still missing hash browns and a extra order of French toast. At this time I said don't worry about it and he went to the other server there and they started talking about how much they don't care! Really this is what you call professional... Really disappointed..

IHOP horrible service

Walked into I hop on Halloween night at 10:00. Was not sat to a table till 10:05 after one of the employees standing there yelled for someone else to come seat us. Then put into a far back table that was super cold and we were unnoticed and ungreeeted for another 10 minutes then we got waters that had a funny taste. Until we got to the point of leaving because we were so hungry around 10:30. Horrible experience overall.

IHOP allergy

I ordered food telling the waitress more than 3 times no mushrooms on my food and of course the had mushrooms hidden in my food and I had an allergic reaction and the insureance company took fault and offered me $163 for a mistake they made which could have cost me my life. IHOP gigi at the kent island ihop

My first, only and last experience at IHOP went like this:
I ordered the "patty melt" and I didn't realize that it had a patty of beef on it. (My own mistake)

On the menu it says "patty melt - American cheese and grilled onions on rye"
So I'm thinking I'm getting a grilled cheese with onions. It comes out, it is in fact, what I ordered, but it has beef on it. I stated "oh there's meat on here I didn't realize" and suddenly the surly white trash waitress GIGI asks me in a horrible attitude "why I'm looking at her like that?" when I was literally looking down at the table.
Me and the 4 other people I'm with are trying to simply say the order WAS correct but I made the mistake and just want to order something different.
She argues with all 5 of us that there's no meat on the sandwich until my boyfriend picked it up, opened it and asks why is there a beef patty on there if there's no meat on it?
She goes on to say "I'm not gonna sit here and argue with you" When no one is arguing except her.

She proceeds to bring out at least 3 different egg sandwich combinations, that no one ordered (that we ended up paying an $80 bill for by the way), trying to argue now that I had ordered them.. I only ever ordered the Patty Melt with hasbrowns and a side of turkey bacon.

She also back pedals and said I ordered the patty melt with no meat..

A) I never said egg, not once
B) I never said "no meat", not once
and C) I tried to admit fault and just simply explain that I ordered the wrong thing and nothing she did was even wrong until now

We were one of 2 tables in the entire restaurant late at night and apparently she couldn't handle that I just wanted to order something different. As soon as I expressed the small issue her entire demeanor changed, she singled me out in front of my friends, made rude comments, shot nasty looks and wouldn't just shut up and listen. All I wanted to do was order something else because I was wrong in ordering the patty melt.
The whole ordeal completely defeated my appetite and I ended up eating a bite of hash browns and paying for all the sandwiches that she brought out that no one ever ordered just to get out of there.

Also, the rest of our group showed up as we were leaving and when they sat down inside with the same waitress (GIGI) she proceeded to tell my friend that she never wants to see me in there ever again.

I'm never going to IHOP again and I'm very sorry to have ever stepped foot inside to have a great night ruined by nothing but a simple misunderstanding.

IHOP management

I was so disappointed to know that a sever by the name of Shameka was fired from Ihop. She has been a very patient and hard working person everyday me and my husband come here to eat and she is there working hard all the time and she is excellent our food comes out prompt she comes to check on us the service is just awesome. I really think something needs to be done if not I don't think we will be back.

IHOP terrible staff and owner

I walked into the Toms River, NJ location of IHOP. It was Columbus Day, 2017 and I asked the host if kids ate free, and he said, "Ummmmm, I don't know, ummm, I'll ask...ummm, and started yelling at the cashier behind us asking if it was. I said, 'never mind, we would just like to be seated.' So, he seated us and the waitress came up to the table. I asked her if kids ate free, she said "no", obviously, because it was Columbus Day and if it's a holiday, no kids eat free, which is an absurd way to get more money from customers. Anyway, I said, "oh ok, well I have a $5 off coupon" and took it out of my purse. The waitress rudely said, " no! thats not for this location. We wouldn't take that." I said to her, "ok, then can I ask if you have these coupons available for this location? Are there any I can get online?" She said, yeah, "I don't know...ok let me know when you're ready" and walked away! So, I went up to the cashier since the waitress did not answer my question and asked her if they had any coupons there. She said no as well. So, I said, "Ok, then we are gonna go" I turned back to the table and said to my nieces that we should leave. They said ok. At that moment, I saw the manager/owner walking around and I asked him if they had any coupons there. He said "No" so nastily and walked away dismissively. I was mortified. I send an email to corporate about it and for some reason it was forwarded to that owner who emailed me and accused me of threatening the cashier that if I didn't get a coupon, I was going to leave. Which was NOT what happened. I have the thread from the email I sent him. I am shocked that anyone would treat a CUSTOMER that way. Especially one who goes there all the time and asked extremely nicely to everyone involved. His name is George Ebinger and is apparently the owner of the two Toms River, NJ locations. I will never go to either one again. I am outraged by the treatment by the host, the waitress and the owner. My god!

IHOP no egg beaters

My friends & I go to the iHop on 541 in Westampton, NJ and have always enjoyed our visits, until today! After going to a movie we stop in to iHop. I ordered an veggie omelet which I loved till today, after taking our order I was informed that you no longer offer Egg Beater substitute. WHY? The egg whites that are available are gross-my opinion.
If you will not be offering the Egg Beaters then we will not be eating at iHop & will drive further down the road to another chain.

IHOP horrible service

My family and I went to have dinner for my sons bday. Bailey was our server. First off, he came back 3 different times to ask us what we wanted the last time he asked us if we wanted two silver 5's without pancakes. Huh? Secondly, I told him my hash brown weren't fully cooked, he said "oh" "well I'm going to go ahead and leave yalls check, is it ok to leave it at this empty table behind y'all" we said sure.. He brought my sons order out wrong and blamed the cooks and I asked my son if he would just eat it because we waited forever for our food already. He never prebussed one single dish from our table and lastly I asked him if they did anything special for birthdays because we were celebrating one. He said "yeah, I'll make him a sundae" then he came back and asked if we just wanted the sundae or did we want them to sing happy birthday" I said, yeah y'all can sing happy birthday. He goes "well none of us want to sing happy bday really" I said ok? Well you can just make the sundae. He left, came back and asked if we wanted it for here or to go. I said you can just make it to go. He took so long we got up and started to leave. He handed us the sundae and cashed us out and gave us a kids eat free discount. I've never had service that bad in my entire life. I literally thought I was being pranked

IHOP rude and disrespectful management

Date: 10/8/2017 Wait time for food: 45 minutes

Resolution - Train your managers or get rid of them!

IHOP used to be my favorite place for breakfast. Unless I decide to drive 10 miles father to go to the next town with an IHOP, I wont be going there anymore. The local IHOP's GM (Debary FL) literally yells at the staff behind a half wall. I mean seriously does he not realize sounds does travel around corners? I've heard him cuss at the staff, talk down to the staff and disrespect them in front of customers. I understand this store is a Corporate store, I've also read all the comment about rude management at the IHOPs, so IM wondering what (if any) qualifications are required to represent the Corporation? I would think as large as this company is, they would do something about it?

I feel bad for the staff, I've seen many walk away embarrassed by his actions and I've heard the servers apologizing to their customers.

Honestly, If my boss talked to me in that manner, I don't know that I would have been able to bite my tongue!

IHOP management

Ihop store 3576 huber heights oct 8 1:22 pm. We were served cold eggs over eazy a cold waffle after waiting 20 min with no drinks served. We had to wait for silver ware cause none was rolled up so we ate our food with our hands untill some were clean my coffee and water was finally brought out no creamer and coffee was warm not hot and manager finally came out asked how everything was i told him about wait on drinks was served food cold our eggs and waffles were cold he said the wait on drinks was so i was served a fresh brewed pot i told him the coffee was just served to me and its only warm. He offered us no explanations for cold food said sorry to hear about your service and walked away. Drink less than half a cup of coffee and he seamed upset that i wanted it takin off my bill. We payed full price for cold food. The waitress 186 norma m did everything she could to help us out kept running back checking on our drinks and silverware she did everything she could do without having to cook and wash dishes just to serve us. very poor management by the manager. Our check number is 8235 table 35/1 auth code 06221c. We ordered a pumpkin spice coffee a decaf that was taken off bill 2 waters a waffle add pumpkin spice butter and carmel. banana fosters brioche french. 2eggs over easy. 2 sausage links.

IHOP ihop on apalachee parkway tallahassee fl

Just walked out of the I hop on Apalachee Parkway as did the table 2 away from us. After being seated we waited for 15 minutes and had to ask for someone to take out order. Waiting another 45 minutes for our food to come and the first 2 things to be brought out were wrong. One order was blueberry pancakes that were supposed to be blueberry but without the whipped topping and compote on top. The pancakes were plain without a blueberry in sight. The omelet that was brought out was totally wrong as well. This was totally ridiculous with no explanation ever given as to why it took so long to begin with. The other women that walked out had sat down several minutes before us and there were only 2 of them and had never received food either. It is completely unacceptable to not even be acknowledged when you sit in a booth for 15 minutes I can infer if you are busy but no eatablishment is too busy to acknowledge you and say I will be with you in a few minutes. It is also beyond ridiculous to wait for 45 minimum for pancakes, French toast and an omelette and then they are brought out wrong. The manager on duty did seem concerned as I told him why we were walking out and seemed that he would intervene but after wasting an hour already with a 4 hour drive ahead of us I did not wait around to give him a chance. There is seriously something wrong with this establishment that needs to be corrected

IHOP customer service

On Saturday night 10/8 I received the absolute worse service from Ihop ever. My waiter was very forgetful, I had to ask for one refill 3 times, I sat and waited for hot butter, syrup and ketchup for 15min, my food was cold and became nasty. My waiter didn’t come and check on us from 2am - 2:50. And then when I asked to speak to the manager she went and whispered something obnoxious in her coworkers ear. The manager was not professional at all even though he did listen to my complaints he did not do so in a positive manner. When I asked him to remove the meal cause I had not ate the majority of it because it WAS COLD he said that wasn’t fair and he could only give me a 20% discount. This was the ihop on walnut street downtown.

IHOP very rude employee, named francisco

I was treated with blatant disrespect and rudeness this morning at an anchorage IHOP by an older man in a black shirt named Francisco, continuously looking at me and whispering to employees, and walking past me giving me dirty looks. Awful customer service skills, he makes the business look very unprofessional. Aside from that he has not been doing work from what I've observed.

IHOP service

My husband and I went to the IHOP in Gulf Breeze, FL this morning between 9 & 9:30 am. After waiting at least 10 minutes as there was another couple in front of us to be seated. (by the way the restaurant was NOT crowded and there were alot of empty tables) There was no hostess to seat them or us. Finally a waitress came and got the couple in front of us and seated them. Then it was quite a while before another waitress came and told us that the cooks in the kitchen were behind and it would be 15 minutes before someone would be able to get our order. So we said it was fine and just seat us and bring us coffee no problem. So she seated us and brought out our
Coffee. After almost another half hour she came and took our order verbally not writing it down. Approximately 45 minutes went by still we did not receive our order. In the meantime several other people were seated and waited on and received their food. Still we had no food. Other patrons were almost finished by then so I flagged down our waitress and told her we originally did not mind the wait however when people who had come in after us were served and were almost finished, we wondered what was the problem. The gave us some explanation about basting our eggs and the rest I couldn't understand or hear as she walked off. Another 30 minutes went by and another waitress appeared with our food. We ate and left leaving no tip as we felt they lied to us from the beginning and we were bring punished for coming in at the wrong time and the waitress was all shook up from the previous crowd. The service was extremely bad and they should have waived our check. We have been going to that IHOP almost ten years and this was the worse service ever and it will be quite a while before we think of returning there after the way we were treated. Almost two hours later we left.

IHOP being physically abused by the manager at ihop

I can't believe what happened to me today. I've worked at IHOP for close to a year . I've been uncomfortable and wanting to leave IHOP for a while because my boss is verbally abusive and inappropriate., but because I'm a single mother of 4 I can't just leave.but today it went a step further then just verbal abuse or intimidating he actually physically harmed me. In the middle of a rush he got overwhelmed like he often does and took it out on me.he was expediting my food and I was dragging my pancakes I told him my table was missing them. I went back 2 more times the cook stepped off the line for some reason and they weren't ready. Now the customers complaining so I tell him.He of course blames Me for taking "a year"to come back. I informed him no I've been back twice he jabbed the plate into my stomach.! I raised my voice at him and asked if he was serious did he really just intentionally push the plate into my stomach and hurt me. I said don't do that. He proceeded to snatch the plate back and push my arm out of his way. I can not believe that this man is allowed to run this family establishment with the temper he has. If he can do that to me he can do it to anyone. Since when is it OK to touch anyone like that? I called the cops because if it were the other way around I would have been fired or in handcuffs He received a fine. All he got was a fine. if he can loose his temper like that on me who's to say that it can't happen to a guest. I'm just so hurt. All the gusts were staring at me in the front it was embarrassing and now I'm really concerned about how I am going to pay for my rent and bills. I'm scared to go back to work especially for him. It's like he's untouchable. Nothing happens they can treat employees however and people are either to scared to say something because they will get there hours cut or worse! I'm just confused. I am just so upset.

O, eah, call to Office for Civil Rights and complain against DISCRIMINATION on job place against women. Also, may apply against that in United Nations organization - if it may have severe complications ( unemployment, no money for children maintenance, problems with SNAP and rent payment).

IHOP management/staff breakdown in grove city ohio

My family visited the Grove City Ohio location yesterday. We were seated and our server arrived to take our order...so far so good. We were the only patrons in the entire establishment.

We waited...and waited...and waited...running out of our beverage with no one available to get us refills until I finally said something to two people that worked there that we would like our server. She brought us refills and we waited some more.
Our food finally arrived but it was cold burned and missing some of it. It took 3 different times to get what we needed.
Once that was settled all of the associates...and I mean ALL of them left the floor. It sounded as if a party was being held in the kitchen.
My brother started choking on his food and I started screaming for help...no one came to help...I managed to do the Heimlich on my brother...making him puke on the floor...still no one came.
Finally I started screaming into the kitchen some profanity because I was beyond stressed out. My brother could have died. They all came out at once and instead of taking concern for him I was told by an associate that they aren't responsible for our safety and we could have called 911. None of us had phones on us. I was verbally attacked by this associate while the manager stood by and witnessed all of this. I told all of them that I too was a manager and this was the worst management I have ever seen. No offer of apology...nothing but...want us to call 911? AFTER THE FACT.
I refused to pay for our meals which sat almost entirely untouched minus the puked food on the floor. I was told that they watch cameras in the back of the store to see if we need anything. Yet not one associate bothered to step into that floor the whole time and even after I did the Heimlich. Including the manager. The associate that was threatening toward me started yelling that I would pay...finally the manager told him to step back and take a chill pill.
THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE and I am considering contacting an attorney. I expect to hear back from someone in the Corp office about this fiasco of a restaurant.

IHOP ihop store #1465

I ate at the above store this morning (table 22/1 chk #5649 Sept 28, 2017 11:05 am).
I ordered the pumpkin pancake combo with bacon and the eggs were to be over medium. I sent them back twice... both times they were over easy.. I did not eat them, or the cold hash brown or the nearly raw bacon. The pancakes weeee warm and I did eat them. My biggest complaint was the cleanliness of the store. The floor was very sticky.. my shoes stuck to it. The table was sticky. The bathroom was filthy. The booth across from me had 12# inch rips in the seat. And the topper of all... I left with a minimum of 9 flea bites on my lower legs. This is absolutely disgusting. I will NEVER step foot in there again. IHIO used to be a great place for breakfast. When I was a child in 1960 we used to go to IHOP in Southern California every Sunday. What a huge disappointment today was.
