IHOP customer billing

I saw a commercial on TV for IHOP changing its name and selling burgers, unlimited fries and a drink for $6.99. On 6-29-2018 at approximately 19:30, my wife and I went to IHOP 3288, located at 6519 FM 78 San Antonio TX 78244. We both asked about that special and Marissa server 173 pointed to different items on the menu. I order a patty melt and my wife ordered a Cowboy burger, with two
diet sodas. The drinks were about 8 oz with little to no ice. I did
ask for more ice and received a 6 oz glass of ice.

After looking at the bill of $27.XX i questioned Marissa on the large amount she told me it was for the drinks. I then ask what about the price i saw on TV, I was then told thee price of $6.99 was for the classic burger only. I was told charging for fee sodas is a method to keep count of how many sodas are sold, when i told the Manager that the waitress had made a mistake, he said "She did not make a mistake" We charge for the free soda and then take it off the bill when your ready to pay. I was told, "we don't just hand out sodas we have to keep count" i was charged $9.00 for a $7.00 hamburger. why am i being lied t?o and cheated?

IHOP food

I Had talk to the Headquarters manager or corporate and talk to Omar, about my bad experience at my Hemet Ca location and He was gonna send me a $30 GC for the bad Hygiene and bad experience and till today I haven't received nothing in the mail. It's been a week now.
Manager in Hemet Ca (women) had cash out customers, grab her breast bra and fix it, then head to the kitchen to grab my plates and first had put her hand inside her pants to tuck in her shirt and fix it. All in camera 🎥 I witness the issue and address it with my Server to not let her grab my plates. This is unprofessional, and unacceptable coming from the main Boss (she needs to make an example ) and show her employees to Wash hands, when touching money and other parts of the body.

I went on Father's Day and got 7 orders of pancakes and order to go, first of all they weren't full stacks I believe the chocolate moose is 4 sets and got only 3 pancakes. And to make it more unsatisfactory it was false advertising. There was no chocolate like on picture shown or in the commercial shown. On every pancake nicely done. It had only chocolate on the top layer. Totally disappointed 😔 I spend my gas and time, for nothing. When I got home I notice a disgusting hair in the whipped cream. That totally made me sick 😷 I couldn't eat them. So now I'm furious about the service, one the Food not done like IHOP advertised, and second the hygiene. Idk where that hear was from arm pit, [censored] or where

IHOP ihop horrible customer service

Hello,

My name is Gary Stevenson. On June 17, 2018 my wife, family members, and I dined in at IHOP. We were coming from celebrating my wife and I first anniversary. The restaurant only had three tables to tend to including our party. The waitress Serenity got out table started with drinks. She came back shortly to take our orders. When some if our food came out I asked about the juices on the menu which stated along the lines of, "if your server does not ask you about this juice you receive a free juice." When I seen that I asked for a orange juice. When she came back everyone else asked for theirs being that she did not explain it to anyone. She immediately screamed out "O MY GOD" and proceeded to storm outside. About ten minutes later another waitress asked could she do anything for us because Serenity was having a meltdown. At that time a couple people at the table did not receive their food yet, so we asked for that and the orange juice. While waiting a caucasian American stopped by or table and asked about someone with us that laid down in a booth. She immediately said "ya'll need to make sure your friend doesn't throw up in here". We told her he was ok, just very tired and wanted space to relax and that he was not intoxicated. After about twenty minutes Serenity returned was a sarcastic attitude asking everybody if they needed something. I immediately just asked to see the manager because her attitude was very poor and one person hasn't received their food in about forty minutes at the time. While waiting the caucasian American that spoke to us rudely was arguing with the only other table in there with us about their food quality. I never seen customer service this agregious in my life. It was like she wanted a reaction out of the guests to possibly fight. While waiting on the manager we seen about five employees huddled up at the register for quite some time. I finally decided to get up and asked if one of them was the manager. Serenity rudely spoke out and said "we need to separate the checks so she can handle them." My response was "that is fine but does it take four individuals including a manager that we asked to speak with a while ago to make this adjustment. The manager in question was Claudia who was soft spoken and had no control over her shift. She came over and gave some general response that had nothing to do with our complaints. She handle one check completely and discounted two more. While we were paying the caucasian american was talking indirectly to us and very loudly saying"I need to take a picture of these tips we are about to get. This is going to be the tip of the night."Then looking at us like she had a problem." My wife said "this is a horrible experience and some of you should not be working here if you have a bad attitude. You should not be taking things out on customers spending money and just trying to have a meal here." While walking out serenity was laughing and loudly saying "hope you guys had a great time. Make sure you come back and see us". I really have a major problem with everything that happened that night. I really felt as if the workers at a point wanted to fight us and the other party that was complaining about their food and service. No one should have to deal with that kind of customer service ever. We were visiting Virginia and just celebrating something wonderful and they took away a fantastic night with absolutely horrible service. It gives the company a bad image and leaves the customer not wanting to spend their hard earned dollars at any of the locations. That is how I feel. The employees at the location 10 Simpson Lane, Fredericksburg Virginia 22406 (store number 3579) need to search for a job that fits their personalities better or be better trained on what IHOP as a company wants them to treat guest that are just trying to eat and and have an enjoyable experience there.

IHOP unequal work environment

This Sunday, I was in town for my daughter's basketball tournament. We decide to go to the IHOP in Harrisburg, PA. In total it was a group of 20. When we came into the store the host explain to us there will be a wait. We said okay and gave her our name. About 25 minutes went by and we watch as server, who later on turn out to be our server name Talexxus, told her the back tables was ready for us. The hostess still did not do anything. Talexxus was trying to cash someone out when, another customer came up to her and told her that her manager or someone else needs to come run the host stand because the older lady cannot handle it. Talexxus apologize and ask what the issue was. The customer told her we see all these empty tables but she is not sitting anyone. Talexxus apologizes again and explain that the back table are on hold for a party of 20, but the other tables she was going to make sure they was clean and sit everyone. Talexxus then went up to three servers and ask them please to come help up at the host stand and help. They laugh and continue to have a conversation with a friend. Talexxus then ask for two managers to come up to the hostess stand, she explain to them what was going on and they just said okay and walk away. Talexxus help sit some tables and sat our table. Talexxus came to our table introduce herself explain how she was going to take our order. We love that, at that same time we was sat the hostess also came up to her and told her she had 3 other tables that she just sat. We thought that was crazy to sit her with four tables at the same time and one of them being a party of 20. Talexxus found other servers to take care of the tables. We watch Talexxus ask multiple people to help and everyone other said no or started to help and just stop helping, which we felt that she was better off with no help because she did such a better job by herself, than them trying to help her. At one point Talexxus's husband, who is a cook, came out and help her and made sure she needed anything. We had two managers, one name Jamie and other one started with a B, come to our table asking if everything okay. We explain to them that Talexxus is perfect and ask if they can grab us a couple things. Both managers seem like they could not understand a thing. Talexxus ended up discounting us and I explain to her that it was not her fault. She was perfect and did her best. I told her that she a great server and the food was perfect. I feel sorry for her because she had to deal with staff and managers who clearly cannot work or manage a store. Later on in the day we talk to other parents from the basketball tournament they explain to us how they came into the same IHOP and ended up with Talexxus as their server too. We are all in agreement she is a wonderful server, she made sure we got everything we needed and took time out to ask how the basketball tournament was going.

IHOP plastic in my food.

Hello my name is Mariah Rice. Me and my fiance was at ihop yesterday and when i dipped my eggs (omelet) i was chewing on a piece of plastic! I told the manager and they just brushed it off n gabe me 10% off my meal. I was so devastated. I love iHop i recently started goinf about 1 month ago. Because back then people had bad comments about ihop so we never went there til a friend from Tennessee came down to ohio to visit there family and they wanted to go to iHOP for breakfast for there last morning before heading back to Tennessee. We fell in love with the place. We love it! But i just hope he let the person in the back know to be careful for the next person. I also saved a picture i took of it as well. Thank you.

IHOP bugs in my food

I'm giving 1 star only because you can't give less in order to post a review. Do not eat there. We just left there after finding a bug cooked into my pancake. I called the server over to show him and he took it and crumbled it in his hand and said that is just grill sludge. I told him I know the difference between a bug and grill sludge. I should have taken a picture of the bug before calling him over.
That was my mistake. We will not be eating there again. Oh and of course there was no manager on duty. I'll" bet there is a manager on duty in the morning. And the health inspector will be getting a call from me!

IHOP food

Today I went into ihop on white plains rd, Bronx New York with my grandson for his graduation upon arriving when we sat down we explained to the waitress we wanted separate receipt when I received my food their was no utensils on the table we had to ask the pancakes was cold the bacon was raw and the menu stated corn beeh hash but it was not the item but it was corn beef
Until I call for the manager to inform her about the the food
I was very unsatisfactory service n the worst customer service in the restaurant
I work for foodservice as well and I will not serve my student any uncooked food
At the the receipt was still mix up

IHOP food

Hi, so last night I went out with my friend and our 2 kids ( 2 and 5 yr)at one of their branches, in Sterling Heights, MI ( Lakeside Mall), and had the Worst experience ever! It was 10 -10:15pm wheb we got there, and we had pizza for the kids with us. We ordered food, and it was never brought to our attn that we were not allowed to have the pizza in there. 45 min went by, no food, no crayons for the kids( we had to ask for it cause you can't expect from a 2 yr old to sit still, he started playing with sugar). And the "manager" comes in, 40-45 min later with all her rude, mean, ugly attitude, asking me to take the pizza back to the car or she would throw it away!So, I took the pizza back to car, and in the meantime she grabbed the sugar off the table yelling at them: this is not for playing! My friend told me when I got back, and I couldn't stay any more second in that unfriendly, rude environment. We left without the food, and a very bitter experience. That is not the way you run a business and certainly not the way you talk to a customer, in front of the kids! ! Veryyyy disappointed! !

IHOP lack of service

I just left your Dania Beach location on the corner of Sterling Road and Federal Highway. I will most likely never come to this location again due to repeated lack of service. I want to make it clear that the one and only young man who was waiting tables did do the best he could under the circumstances. I actually feel bad for the young gentleman who kept his cool under the conditions he and others are forced to work under there. One cook and one floor person is not sufficient staff for a restraunt that is busy due to it's location. I realize times are tight for everyone, but there has to be a happy medium somewhere. No one should have to wait an hour to be asked if they would like a drink while they wait or have to flag someone down while they scurry about to get untensils. I realize this waiter had a table of 18 seated in two tables relatively close together and they were their before we showed up, as well as the four other tables with one eating and the other three waiting. By the time the hour had passed the table of 18 was just starting to receive their order. We had already flagged him down in almost a mid run for a diet Coke and was still waiting for him to come take our order. At some point a young woman appeared from nowhere to check out aan while she was talking on her phone and was never seen again. As we made our way to the front to pay there were 10 more people waiting to be seated and about 15 plates on the counter under the heat lamps waiting to go out for the party of 18. I wouldn't be surprised if the young man quits working there as soon as tomorrow because I sure wouldn't work under those conditions either. It's absurd to expect people to wait around for an hour or two to be served. This location needs more staff at night and less appologies without results. And to be fair most of your store's locations I have been to at night have similar sized staff. Just so you know, we left with a diet Coke after an hour and the ten poyential customers you had waiting to be seated left as well. Also there was a young couple seated waiting who were about to cause a scene after only having waited 15 minutes as well as a single diner who was disabled wondering where the drink was so she could take her medicine. Sorry to say that this location is the worst I have been to by far in the entirety of my life. It need only be corrected by a company who wants business and is willing to lend the payroll hours necessary to get more help in there at night and not waiste it all on the breakfast and lunch hours when the manager is present and looks good with plenty of help. Help your store before you have to close it. Your not keeping customers this way. You are deterring them.

A group of my friends and I started meeting for breakfast once a month, we split it up between the local diners and IHOP. The last time we met at IHOP a few of use ordered tea and were serve a British grey tea that was horrible. I questioned the server and asked for LIPTON or any other american made tea and was told that was the only tea they served. The next time we went back to IHOP I brought my own LIPTON bags, after breakfast I went to the manager and complained about the GREY tea and asked can't they supply an American tea also. He stated that was what CORPORATE wanted and he couldn't serve any other Tea. I told him that I brought my own LIPTON tea and would continue to do so every time I come to IHOP. Why would an AMERICAN company continue to serve a BRITISH tea. We will still meet for breakfast in the Long Island, N.Y. area, just not as much at IHOP.

IHOP disrespect

Hello.

My husband and I frequented the IHOP(B?) in Florence, Kentucky several times, especially on Wednesdays when the senior BOGOs were offered. However, we haven't gone in a while and decided this summer to once again make IHOP a Wednesday habit.

So I called them last week to ask if they still offer those BOGOs. The young lady did not know so left to ask. I was on hold for several minutes (not a peak dining time). I finally hung up and called back. I posed my question again to a different person who answered with an abrupt "no" and paused. So I thanked her and hung up.

We live in an area with countless restaurant choices, including those who respect their older clientele. They will obviously retain our business while IHOP has lost it.

IHOP staff/ management behaviour

My family and I came to IHOP, located in Harrisburg, PA around 10AM on Sunday 6/17/2018 for Father's Day. We were greeted by wonderful hostess, named Nyell. She informs us that the wait time will be 30minutes. I thought that was weird since we saw a lot of dirty tables that needed to be clean. The young hostess informed her mangers about tables need to be clean off, but it seem like they did not listen to her. While waiting another young lady walk in, who I guess works there, based on her interactions with the staff. And put her name on the waiting list. She began talking to the hostess and asks her if she was okay or need and help. The hostess tells her yes and the young proceed to help her. In that time frame the young lady and the hostess sat a party of 13, help sit about four or five other tables, including myself and her family. In the middle of helping the hostess sit tables; one of your managers walks up to the young lady who was helping, and states "why are you here?" The manager then turns to another customer says "I have one of my employee here on her day off trying help". A few minutes later the same manager asks her again; with an attitude "why are you here, why would you come here knowing we are busy". The young lady responds back "because my dad wanted to eat here for Father's day". I thought that was so disrespectful, because she one did not need to help, but did it out of her kindness of her heart, and two was unprofessional to say infornt of other customers, especially for a manager. On top of all this; the fire alarmed went off. We watch your "managers" and servers walk around clueless, and talking terrible about other staff members and cooks. The same manager who was disrespectful to your employee/ guest, is running around the store saying it not a fire, a kid pulled the alarm. At this point another customer steps in and helps and called the fire department to inform them it's not a fire but that they cannot turn off the alarm. Besides this horrible services we witness in the beginning; are actual services was amazing; are server John was amazing, the food was prefect, and came out fast and hot. We enjoyed coming into Ihop but the majority of your staff/ management her is terrible. You have some great employees here, like the young wonderful hostess Nyell, are server John, the young lady who helping out on her day off and the cooks who worked on Sunday. But your management needs to be fired and need to find people who know what they are doing. Just this encounter on Sunday and hearing what other customers say about this ihop location, I give your store another year before its get shut down.

IHOP the new burger products

Went to two different I hop restaurants in the indianapolis area an both did not have the new burgers up saying they didn't have ain't available .Also I complain ing that I was told this after I had order drinks .so when I was disappointed bout the burgers I cancel out my orders but still had to pay $8.00 for three drinks felt that was a bit much thought sum f they didn't have the product I shouldn't had pay for drinks especially on Father's Day seeming it was my day

IHOP food

My name is iris rivera, today june 17 2018 I visit one of ur stores which is located on first colonial rd in virginia beach city and the service wasn't very descent, the food was given brought to me twice but it wasn't how I asked for it, in fact part of the food that was brought to my family wasn't complete. They gave me the receipt and I had to ask them to hanger the receipt a couple of time at the third time I payed the check and left and then I noticed they still left the food we gave back and the food we didn't receive, so we payed for it as well. IHOP waitress

Taniya manager 6-6 at the ihob in merrillville indiana has the worst service. At approx. 1:20am my family attended the restaurant and ordered pancakes and a tilapia florentine with no sauce and the red potato side as a substitute. Her food arrived after everyone's pancakes and had old dried out fry in it. We mentioned this to the waitress (taniya) and she ignored us several times! We also asked for hot syrup when the pancakes were delivered and never recieved it! The red potato side I ordered with my pancakes arrived 15min after all the food on the table along with a ‘side' of broccoli that literally contained one flouret with an unknown brown substance on it. We again asked to speak to her with the issues with the food, & again was ignored.
Taniya has zero respect and zero capacity to handle any customer complaints. As waitress myself and I am beyond disgusted & disappointed with the service we hardly received. We had no silverware until requested, no straws until requested. I haven't been in 6years and as my first return I don't think I want to ever attend again!

IHOP food

I made a call in order for pick-up. The first time i got my food the order was not complete. I then sent it back to have it remade fresh and have my missing items added. I was brought back the same food i recieved with the missing items added. Therefore i had to make a third trip back. I came to have my card refunded and was told i could not be refunded for my order and could have my food remade, which should have been made correct the first time if not the second time i returned

IHOP current television advertising campaign traumatized my child

My name is Jennifer Lomastro and I am writing to implore you to remove the current television advertisement featuring a man falling off a roof from airing. This advertisement caused severe upset to my 10 and 12 year old stepdaughters. It was horribly disturbing to see the fall and force of the landing. Even worse, the children began to ask questions about whether it is possible to fall/jump off a roof and sustain no injuries. In this day where mental health and the prevelence of teen suicide is such an issue in our country I find it irresponsible and deplorable to use these images advertising a family restaurant. I may need to seek future help from a mental health care professional to help my children process and understand the images you used. Not only will I nor any member of my family patronize your restaurants, but I will hold your company responsible if there are further repercussions.

IHOP out of burgers and length of wait time

I would appreciate and explanation as to why our latest visit to this establishment may be our last Being truck drivers we offen frequenly eat at IHOP but on this visit we experienced such terrible service It began at Restaurant #5671 in Blytheville.AR. 6/15/18 at 6:21:32 pm we placed our order for 2 classic with bacon burgers meals. Were given a number and we sat down . 10 minutes later we were told they were out of burgers (of all places a truck stop) so we reordered at6:33:24 pm. A Philly stacker and a BLT mind you it's 6:33pm dinner hour! And no burgers wow and the name is changing to IHOB! That's not bad enough but after placing our new order we sat until 7:12pm and had to go to the counter to inquire about it was told its up next by 7:25pm we got our food I'm so displeased with this visit I will probley never return and will post my experience on line along with all others negative remarks concerning your food chain you may contact me at anytime if you have questions. kimberly.[protected]@yahoo.com

IHOP facebook page

I frequent IHOP restaurants on a semi-regular basis with my family. The food is generally okay but the service is usually mediocre at best. I don't know who runs your Facebook page but I truly do not appreciate the language used in recent posts. When posting on social media for a company, you represent that company and it's values. If that is the kind of thing IHOP is about, I can assure you that myself and my family will no longer be visiting your restaurants.

IHOP the name change

Why the [censored] would you change the name to IHOB? That's the most idiotic and [censored] idea you could have come up with. No one goes to ihop for a damn burger. Like, seriously? America has hundreds of different burger chains. Why the hell would you try to become another one? Are you people that stupid? Whoever had the idea for this needs to be fired. Immediately.

IHOP service

IHOP in Tallahassee, on Apalachee Parkway. I have tried to go into this IHOP 4 times in the last month. Each time there has been issue as with unstaff or the manager just can't get it coordinated to be staffed appropriately. This last time I was told that it would take 30 minutes before I could get my order taken. The previous 3 times I left because no one came after 15-20 minutes to take my order. I love to eat at IHOP please do something to fix this site!
