IHOP management/ customer service

I went to the IHOP on chouteau in NKC . It was late at night and they weren't very busy. But we were ignored. The staff was unfriendly .The so called " manager" Lexi or Alexa something like that was too busy playing grab ### with her boyfriend apparently one of the servers there. She was very rude to us. The place was dirty tables not bussed and no one doing any work. . She made it a point to let us know that she was only 18-19 and she's a manager of this establishment .. well who gives a crap because she sure doesn't know what the hell shes doing. And she looks like she's had too many pancakes instead of doing her job!

IHOP food service

Table was unclean when seted, dirty glass, slow/no service. Glasses stayed empty too long. Management specifically someone named Charlotte who was some type of supervisor. Horrible experience. Food was disgusting and cold! Worst IHOP experience ever and they are ALWAYS bad at the Monroe Louisiana location! Last shot, never going back, with 20 free meals I wouldn't return.

IHOP no responsibility and lack of service

On 4/22/17, I went to IHOP at 2060 Union Ave., in Memphis, TN. There were only a few cars in the parking lot. I went in and stood in the "I'm waiting for someone to seat me" area. I could see 3-4 servers standing around apparently doing nothing in the back; each one made eye contact with me and saw me standing there. There were two servers at different tables, each one of them saw me, as well. There was another male worker at the back of the store, but I am not sure he saw me as I stood there, unattended to for nearly 5 minutes. Then another male worker came in the front doors, maybe coming back from break. As he walked past me, he asked if I needed to be seated. I told him yes, and that I'd been standing there for several minutes. He walked toward the back of the store and asked the still-idle workers, "Who has the door?" everyone started pointing toward someone else...in other words, they all knew I'd been left standing there for several minutes, and rather than step up and seat me, they all actively decided seating me was someone else's job and so I could just stand there until whoever was responsible came along. They never even attempted to find whoever and have them come do their job. The man who had spoken with me was the only person out of several, most who were standing idle, that even attempted to do anything for me. Everyone continued to act confused about who was to seat me, taking approximately another minute. I finally grew disgusted and left, never having been seated, apologized to, or even spoken to but for the one man. I called the store as I was driving to spend my money at another food establishment, spoke with someone whose name I cannot remember but was a shift manager, and explained what had just happened. She only told me that she was not the store manager and that I would have to call back and speak with "Magic" who was the store manager. I told her I would be calling corporate Monday, she did apologize or my experience, but didn't really didn't sound like she even cared. If that is the way that store is run, it's no wonder there were so few cars in the parking lot. I, as I said, spent my $20 or $25 at someone else's food establishment, and you can guarantee I will never patronize that store again. I also will leave a terrible review on Google and anywhere else I can find to get the word out that IHOP is allowing such terrible service at that store. Something needs to be done there.

IHOP former employee

I work for IHOP one year and I never see rude management ever and co workers. It start in march when I get yell at to do the cook line when I'm a certified trainer and vulgar languages toward me was upsetting. So I went to the line try to help no one speak a word and then another co worker decides to break plates. Disrespect the gm. My supervisor as my district manager didn't care so I left it a disgrace to the company.

IHOP waitress

Hi, last week on Good Friday me and my husband went to have breakfast at IHOP in el segundo on Sepúlveda blvd, when Ana the waitress came to leave our tea and coffee, that she did t know what kind of teas IHOP has. I told her we were ready to order our food. And she said " oh I don't have time right now to take your order. And she left. That day we didn't have enough time to walk out the restaurant, cause we were going to church at 12:00 noon.

IHOP customer service

I am really displease with the customer service in your Evans Ga location. (Store #2044) The first thing I notice, there was no greeter to acknowledge me and my 2 daughters. I am always bragging about Ihop and boy was I in for a rude awakening. Secondly, they sat us at a table with a dirty floor underneath (of course I ask for a different table) Next thing waitress bought our drinks, and at every ihop I've visited they always pour the first cup of coffee, well not this particular one. That's when I notice we had no silverware. You would not believe this but the waitress bought our silverware unwrap and all together in one big napkin. I immediately said this is unacceptable and this is not how ihop does things. Lastly the food, was brought to us late and cold, and it took someone almost 20 minutes to ring us up. I wish that someone from the corporate office would give me a call or at least give me a direct number so I can let you guys no what the manger did and said. Put it like this, apparently customers don't matter in Evans GA's Ihop. That's how my family and I were treated...Dissatisfied customer.

IHOP filthy restaurant

I was at your State College, PA location around 1030 this am. When I entered, there were 4 employees at the podium talking to each other. I was taken past many empty tables to the back of the restaurant & was seated at the filthiest table I have ever seen. The floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a month. I asked to be reseated, as I wasn't going to sit in filth. When I left I stopped at the restroom, which was also filthy. The lobby even had paper all over the floor. Someone needs to address this. Absolutely awful!

IHOP service

Every Saturday, after baseball practice I take my kids to different restaurants to eat. Today, 04/22/2017, my kids wanted to go to IHOP on 4821 Madison Ave, Sacramento, CA 95842. We went there at 3pm. There were only three tables with customers, even though, it took close to a half an hour for a server to come to our table, her name is Lisa. We ordered drinks and food, then my kid spills a drink, I called her over to wipe the table, instead, she brings a pile of napkins saying that she is busy and we can wipe it ourselves. I was waiting for her to come and give me a refill, but she never came. I stood next to the kitchen and asked for a refill, on which she responded that she is alone on the premise, not even a manager present. I told her that I am paying for my food and a service and expect proper treatment, on which she responded that I can't talk to her this way. I grabbed my kids, paid the bill and we left. My whole day is shut. I will never go to IHOP again. I expect this type of treatment is normal at every IHOP.

IHOP service

The entire wait staff was arguing with one another, there was an F bomb drop loud enough for everyone to hear, dishes were breaking and I didn't know who my waiter was. It was between two girls who Neither were really attentive I ordered a unsweetened tea and didn't get it till the end of my meal so I paid for something that I didn't even get to really have and top it off it wasn't an unsweet tea it was a sweet tea and that's just a lot of sugar it was a bit of a surprise. Also the uncomfortable awkward situation where I was handed the wrong receipt and card so just the fear of knowing someone else had my information or almost got like wrongfully charged for someone else's order was just a little unsettling

IHOP drunk customers

I am a regular customer st ihop, at least 5 times a week. Last night I got upset, because our server was being harassed by rude disrespectful customers but she handled them well. People always complain about the smallest things but never compliment the servers on how well they do. Well. Mimi your an outstanding server and the reason I continued to come to ihop in Plantation. Thank you!

IHOP the host

It was a wait she said 30 min we are not local and my kids like to eat at IHOP so I said ok we waited and another party of 5 came after us it was about 20 min the lady walk up to the host and was asking how long she said Wimer is next the lady said really can't we go the host marked me off and took her I asked the host about it she got in my face and told me not to tell her how to do her job I was waiting my turn what the host done was wrong I'll never go back and will tell everyone how dirty of a place it is

IHOP service

Just left the ihop off of Walzem and IH 35 in San Antonio, TX. Worst service we've had yet. Once we arrived we were told it was a 25 minute wait. We figured it was a normal wait time considering it is Easter Sunday. So we waited about 20 minutes before we were seated. We had our order taken as soon as we sat down at the table. We waited for another hour before tracking down our waiter (Joe) who we did not see after taking our order. JOE THEN MENTIONED OUR ORDER WAS GIVEN TO SOMEONE ELSE and He was going to put in our order in...AGAIN! We waited another 20 minutes before deciding to cancel the order. IT'S BREAKFAST! NOT A STEAK PLACE! It does not take long to make eggs and pancakes! So we asked to speak to the manager (Charles) who by the way provided worst service than our waiter. When I explained the reason behind canceling our order he stated that's fine, pointed to the cashier and then walked away. Last time we eat at this location.

IHOP food preparation and services

IHOP on Elliston Place in Nashville Tennessee customer service is way below satisfaction the employees do not see you or take your order as soon as you walk in the door or do not recognize you upon entering sometimes I will have to sit myself. The Employees are usually on smoke breaks or carrying on conversations. Employees are rude disrespectful. I was a regular visitor specially since vandy employees receive discounts on food. My visits started to decrease because there was always a 45 minute to a hour to get my food. My order sometime is completely wrong. My omelet ingredients is always burned an over cook. Worst mistake is i always order a big steak omelette. I dont eat pork. And some how bacon was an ingredient in my omelette i got no apology or an acknowledged that they missed up my order. Never going back to this ihop ever. They need a new manger an employees

IHOP norfolk virginia store #577

I've been coming to IHOP for over 20 years and I always get the most favorite part of my meal . Stuff French toast! To my surprise I was informed that you guys have discontinued the stuff French toast for your "spring fling" . This is something I was told by management .. greater disappointment not the greatest service I had to literally go to the back and ask for someone to seat myself and my party which I couldn't understand with only six tables occupied .

Please let me know if you've discontinued this item

IHOP quality and preparation of food.

I am a fairly regular visitor of the IHOP chain but tonight I found myself in store number 488 and was extremely disappointed.
I found my service to be just fine it was the quality and the preparation of my meal that let me down. Lately I have been a fan of the sirloin tips both the breakfast and the dinners. Apparently store 488 does not used the same seasoning nor the cooking times as the meat was dry very dry and tough. So should you find yourself traveling through Woodstock Georgia bypass the IHOP there travel a little further down the road and find another one. I believe if I were to rate this store it would definitely be in a negative number

IHOP racist managers and extremely rude and unhelpful customer service!

Last summer I applied for a job at a local IHOP. I was initially told by the black manager I spoke too they weren't hiring. Then several weeks later I noticed over a dozen new employees, and guess what, they were all black.

After filing a complaint with IHOP, I was basically told "Its not our problem, and we dont care."

Several days later a co-manager of the store, and one of the only few white employees that worked there called me and apologized. She stated she was the hiring manager, and admitted, they only hired black people. She also stated she had no control over who the potential job candidates were. The black GM would hand her a list of applications, and all were pre-screened to include only black people. She had to hire from that list, and expressed the same concern I did.

The co-manager stated the owner was deeply concerned as to what happened, and was worried I was going to sue. Being as my lawyer insisted I couldn't just sue IHOP, but I had to sue the owner as well, I had second thoughts about suing at all. I didn't want to ruin this guy's business. The other issue was my health at the time, and I was honestly to weak to fight what happened.

While I honestly and sincerely appreciate the manager who did contact me and apologize for what happened, and I believe she was being sincere, I'm still extremely disgusted with the way IHOP's customer service treated me.

While it may not seem that big of a deal to others, I was honestly so upset over what happened, I became withdrawn for months, and could no longer go out in public. Even almost a year later, and I'm still traumatized over what happened. I have this deep fear of employers now, and I find it hard to trust anyone anymore. I haven't applied for another job since, and now can no longer pay my bills.

How can IHOP resolve my situation? To be honest, I really don't think there's anyway they can. I just want to let them know what they did was wrong, and the unfortunate consequence is that I'm going to make it my life's plan to educate the public as to just how disgraceful this crooked company truly is.

It's far too late for a sorry, and there's no amount of money in the whole world that could ever fix what you did, and I will make sure you pay for eternity with the loss of as may customers as possible.

IHOP server and price

I visited the rogers, Arkansas location on 4/1/17 and i am a highly dissatisfied customer. I was treated very badly by my server (i believe his name is Christopher or Chris) and I was not told about the high price of extras with my meal. I was charged almost 5 dollars extra for green peppers and onions in my scrambled eggs and was not told. When i asked my server about the extra cost he said oops my bad and laughed then said he could give us ice cream for desert but never came back to check after our food was served. Also we were given the bill before our meal even came to the table. I was charged 33.05 for two meals and i find that to be ridiculous for the service and quality of food i received. I am requesting a refund of my 33.05 that i paid, however i paid cash and did not get a copy of my receipt because as i said the server never came back to collect the check or give us the free desert that he had offered us when we complained. Please get back to me as soon as possible on this matter.

IHOP management

Hello, my name is M'Elaine Mitchell. Today, as I was receiving information about applying for a position at your IHOP location in Picayune, MS, one of the managers verbally attacked and insulted me. The worst part is, it was PUBLIC on Facebook. I do not think this person (named Jessica Kelly) deserves to hold a management position. I cannot imagine how she talks to/treats her employees. I have shared the post on facebook and it is going viral, giving this restaurant a bad reputation around here. I did absolutely nothing to her, and she just verbally attacks me. I will try to attach proof of the facebook post. I am deeply disturbed by her words, as are my fellow facebook friends. This woman has no right to speak to me the way she did, and if nothing is done I will be filing a harassment/bullying lawsuit against her and your company. I would really prefer to avoid conflict, but something needs to be done!

IHOP Service

This evening [protected]) my family and I went to IHOP in Austin on north IH 35 around 9:15. There was only about 14 people in the place and it still took 40 min to get or food. We waited 35 min without seeing our waitress, we were in need of refills so I had to ask another waitress to get her. Of course she stayed by the coffee talking and laughing until I had to yell for her. When are food comes my order was wrong, I ordered plain French toast and that's not what I got, the waitress just laughed and asked if I wanted what she brought me . To end this, I did not have anything to eat I was just so disappointed. My parents sausage was cooked on the outside but cold in the middle so we had to send it back . Again only about 14 people in the restaurant and more than half were sending their plates back. Our waitress acted like she could care less about our wait, so discussed with the whole service . And so were the people sitting behind us, and what's more disappointing is that we love going to that IHOP at least 2 or 3 times a month but never again .

IHOP no knowledge of advertised menu

On March 20, 2017, I visited the IHOP on Centerville Road in Garland, Texas. I ordered the sticky bun waffle as advertised on television. My waitress brought me a regular waffle with syrup and pecans. I advised her that was not what I had ordered. She tried explaining to me that it was the same one advertised. Again, I said no. She brought the manager and they were both clueless and did not understand. Finally, the waitress brought me the sticky bun waffle. Everyone in my party had eaten and was ready to go at that time. I got a to-go box and took my sticky bun waffle home.

Are the employees trained? They should be familiar with the menu. Quality service cannot be given if you do not understand the menu. I was very disappointed.
