Igomogul.com Agreement

Listen up everyone, I want to talk about my website today and this is really personal to me. My sister got me started on blogging and getting my own website. I went through the same company she did, which is IGOMOGUL. I purchased the same ‘package’ she did and was given instructionsrequirements. When I completed my first set of instructions, I was told I would have to spend more money to continue. This was not the arrangement we had made and I was highly upset. The General Manager allowed me to continue and I assumed that it was because they were honoring the original agreement. Things have been progressing; I’ve worked on my website as much as I can. I work two other jobs besides trying to get this web site going and making money from it. I want to eventually quit my second job and devote as much time to my website. My Google page rank just updated to a 1 and my Alexa page rank is 159, 694 and it started around 650, 000. I went to dnscoop.com and checked out my page and the total numbers of pages that contain links to my site are 788. I don’t think that too bad for a beginner.

Now, IGOMOGUL wants me to spend $1000 to ‘develop’ my site and they have cut off access to part of the writing opportunities I was given back months ago. This is not right and not a very ethical way of doing business. They say they should have told me that when they allowed me to start. That is not the agreement we had and they keep changing things. At the moment I do not know what is going to happen. I have called and called and left messages and no one is returning my phone calls. I wish I had not gotten involved with them but my sister has not has any problems with them and I purchased the same package she did. I hope this issue is resolved soon because they are costing me. I am considering contacting the Better Business Bureau in their local community.

Same thing happened to me. I did contact the BBB in AZ but they couldn't do anything...what a farce. This company just deceives. They tell flat out lies to get your money and then want more. Good luck to anyone who can stick it to them. My best advise...don't give them anymore because it won't ever be enough and you won't get it back. Now they are charging a hosting fee - another lie. I was told my website was paid up for a year with my payment of $2200. Now they gouge me for another $10.00 a month hosting fee. If anyone knows how to get out of this, let me know...

I agree that IGOMOGUL uses strong arm tactics to try to make you pay to get a custom header and have blogs written by your site. You are not stuck with your website, however. If you do not pay your hosting fees, they will take down the site. That is one way to cancel your acc0unt and get rid of a website you do not want. No amount of arguing will convince them that you cannot afford to spend money on your site. When I was cut back to two articles on Writezilla, I was subsequently given unlimited articles on Postzilla. So, you can still make money. However, I chose to quit the hole thing. You DO own your website. You can delete all of the personal information in your profile and your home page and all of your blogs. You should save the blogs as blank pages before you delete them, because they will be orphan pages on the server, and thus be retrievable. I recommend to leave any blogs you were paid to write. This will make you site undesirable to anyone, as those blogs have nothing to do with your subject matter. The name they gave my website was to insipid, I did not want it, anyway. It was not exactly on the tip of everyone's tongue. Good luck. You can walk away.

I am going around and around with this company. When I first signed on, the woman that called me told me they wanted everyone to make 300.00 a week. I worked my way up on the articles and actually got to 10 articles a day, and then WHAm, they cut me down to 2 articles a day without any notice. My account rep said it was because I never invested any money in it. They got me for 1249.00 in June with a promise of writing 5 articles on writezilla and 5 articles on postzilla. A few days later I was knocked down to 2 and 2 and when I tried to call my sales rep they said he was no longer there and I had a new sales rep. The new sales rep could only get me 2 on wrtiezill and 5 on postzilla. That was ok, but only lasted a few days and they cut me down to 1 on writezilla and 3 on postzilla. She said she could get me back up to 5 on postzilla in a few weeks. So I waited a few weeks, and she said she couldn't do it. Today they cut me down to one in postzilla and one in writezilla until I invest more money in my website. I am unemployed, waiting on a disability claim, and I sent them every penny I had in the bank. I am contacting the better business bureau, I printed out all of my e-mail correspondence with them, and am going to see a lawyer.

I finally received the log on, password, PIN and account # for the godaddy domain Igomogul registered in my name however it is worthless.
Igomogul still controls the hosting files and without those I can not do anything with the website. While the good news is Igomogul can no longer do anything with the domain name, the bad news I can not do anything with the website.
This company has so many scamming tricks you know they have had much practice.
Further resarch has shown that Igomogul target women over the age of 50 with an income below $30, 000 a year, with a limited education and no children.
Here is the link to verify this.

I have a site with them, I had to report them on the writzilla part, because that was bulls...t, $5.00 for an article they post on the web? And there was no type for cash program as promised. When my intital year was up and I had no buyers from my store, I tried to sell the site back like they said I could, but was told that they couldn't sell such an plain, and uninteresting site. (that they helped develop) so I got stuck with a worthless site, because I didn't have the time or knowledge to operate it. When I do call I get people, they even call me back, answer my e-mails, it's just not much help, when they try to make you feel stupid for not knowing what it is that they do. So when I didn't renew my store stocking fee, they denied me access to my store, I still had acsess to my page just not my store. Then I lost access to my page. Now They will allow me access to my page for 4.95 a month for hosting fees. What's next? But I did get a partial refund from the Zoofer part of the agrement but they won't buy the site back after telling you that your site could be worth thousands if not hundreds of thousands for a successful site. I had to report them to the New York BBB. for that refund. But No refund as promised if I wasn't satisfied after the first year. which I was'nt. It may be a waste but since I did buy it I', m gonna try again to lauch this stupid site. Wish me luck! FT

The owner of igomogul called and spoke to me on the phone to resolve my dispute with igomogul. I told him I was p***** at the unprofessional way one of his employees had insulted me when I asked for verification that I owned my domain name before I proceeded any further with the website. He apologized and told me that I was indeed the registered owner of the domain name and patiently explained how I could verify that information with godaddy. After verifying that I was the registered owner of the domain name I again spoke to the owner. I told him that I was willing to update my complaints to show that I had resolved that aspect of my complaint. I also told him that if I decided to move forward with the website that igimogul had designed and I discovered it was a case of fool me once shame on, fool me twice shame on me, I would be back on the complaints forums.
I make mistakes... alot ... but unlike some people I'm not embarrassed to admit my mistakes and broadcast them, so that others might not make the same mistake. At this point in time I am willing to proceed with caution and discover for myself if I simply encountered an employee that was in a bad mood or if igomogul can live up to its promises. If at the end of the 90 days I discover that I'm a twice the fool I will be back with a vengence making my opinion known.

igomogul has you sign up for their services, they then register your domain with godaddy.com at that time igomogul receives the confirmation of registration ownership, they have the log on, password and PIN, you do not. So igomogul owns the domain name, not you. Everything you place on the website is copyrighted to the owner of the domain, igomogul, also they can sell, trade, give away the domain and its contents at any time without your consent or knowledge. You may get paid for the reviews but as far as the domain ownership, you are letting igomogul use your money to register, design, and promote a website THEY own!
Try asking for verification from godaddy.com that you own the domain name, ask igmogul to send you the log on, password and PIN so that you can verify that you own the domain. You won't get it, all you will get is an email that your an idiot who doesn't understand business.

Igomogul.com Scam Company

I signed up with this company being promised a weekly paycheck for writing articles and then posting articles on the web. I was also promised a website of my own that I could earn money online with my own store. I began the very night I signed up. I was promised a support call the very next day. It never came. I sent an email with a complaint of no support and that I needed someone to call me. I got a call from a man who sounded very aggravated that with me because I needed the call to be after my 9 – 5 job stopped. He gave me guidelines to the writing process and the call ended. I continued to write but no paychecks were coming as promised. After 3 weeks I got a check for $10.00. I waited another 2 weeks for a check of $10.00. I never received another check. I stopped writing and sent an email telling them since they can not pay small amounts on a timely basis I wanted to end this contract, which had a refund statement of after 90 days you could get a 100% refund. I sent complaint emails of needed support and never go a live person to contact me when I was able to talk to them. I had to create some extreame emails and only after that did I receive 5 emails with detailed instructions of how to update my website. I have not received any phone calls with a live person from their support. I was told I could call the help line and get support. That support is not available after 5:00. I have not touched the website and have not received any type of refund. If you are a housewife and want to post your kids pictures on the internet and you want to talk about your life this is a perfect site for you. If you are looking to make money DON’T TRY THIS SITE.

I signed up with this company and discovered everything they promised was a lie. I've finally figured out how this scam works. IGoMogul gets you to contract a website design through them. IGoMogul makes an account with GoDaddy listing you as the registrant; this is $10 a year. Once a person looks at the "who is" and sees they are the registrant they are convinced they control the domain name. If they look at the bottom they will discover that it says registrant can not delete, renew, transfer, or update the account. Should you call GoDaddy they will tell you that only the person or company with the log on, password, PIN or account number has control over the domain account. As such the person or company with that information can delete, renew, transfer, update, sell, give away, or close the account at any time without consent from the registrant or their knowledge. Should the website fail IGoMogul simply tells the registrant is it their fault. Should the website prove successful IGoMogul has the legal right to sell it and keep the money. Furthermore, the content placed on the website is copyrighted to whoever has the account information, so that also becomes the property of IGoMogul. IGoMogul can use GoDaddy design and development tools to create the site; this cost less than $50 a year.

At the end of the first 90, days IGoMogul demands more money, if you do not pay then they remove the ads from the free AdSense program and the website now requires a membership log in fee. If you want links added to your webpage IGoMogul asks for more money, again this is a free program that they do not pay for. The bottom line is that IGoMogul takes advantage of people who do not have the experience to realize everything provided by IGoMogul is free or costs less than $100 a year. IGoMogul also uses your Google account information to add Analytic, AdSense and the webmaster tool. All of these programs are free so IGoMogul pays nothing to use them. The webmaster tool is the most important one for IGoMogul to have access too. Should GoDaddy agree to transfer the domain account to you then IGoMogul still controls the website through the webmaster tool. Once IGoMogul has the code to the webmaster tool you are locked out and can not verify ownership of the website or use it. At this point it is a standoff, you can sell the domain name however IGoMogul is the only ones with access to what is added or removed from it. The website becomes worthless to both parties.

IGoMogul knows the odds are in their favor that they will not have to refund any money. Most people have used their credit cards to pay IGoMogul and are accruing interest, hiring a lawyer and the added expense of traveling back and forth to Phoenix is also beyond their means. Arizona small claims maximum is well below what most people have paid so they will take a loss if they pursue small claims and win. When faced with the options most people cut their losses, give up and go away. Should you file complaints with the Arizona BBB then IGoMogul says that if you sign a different agreement they will release control to you. If you agree to sign then you forfeit all the money you have paid IGoMogul and also agree not to pursue any further legal action against IGoMogul. Why should you sign an agreement to take control of something that IGoMogul was paid to create for you and register ownership for you in your name? IGoMogul claims that the Statement of Work protects them from lawsuits and being forced to give you a refund. If you read the SOW carefully, you will notice that it says they are working on a website for the client. Since IGoMogul owns and controls the website they are their own client and they are using your money to develop and design a website for themselves.

When push comes to shove and you demand verification of anything via email or mail IGoMogul refuses, they insist all conversations take place over the phone. If you should call them and you refuse to accept what they tell you, they then begin playing a phone shell game with you, transferring you from one person to the next until you give up. They want to play he said she said phone tag so that you do not have any proof as to what was said over the phone.

They are dishonest, pushy, and down right rude. They are full for false promises to get you involved with them... "Don't" ! Save yourself a lot of money and headaches! They have a NO REFUND policy even if you are dissatisfied with their work. They have terrible customer service and are always wanting you to spend more money to fix THEIR problem. I say to you, Run! Report them! Tell your friends and family to do the same. Taking advantage of people is wrong! They called me and told me that Google game them my name and number. I wish I hadn't gave them a minute of my time that is for sure! Scam. Watch out.. If you aren't willing to give the customer back their money if they aren't satisfied or if they don't receive what you promised and then make the person feel like they didn't do their part. Abusive, is what I think about this company. You don't force people to do business with you! You show them that you can be trusted in the way you do business! Don't believe them when they say, that they are a Christian based company either. It's just a front. Don't believe them.

Scam, scam, scam! Igomogul says they pay you to write reviews then talk you into paying for them to make a website, but its all a scam. The only thing they give you in writing is a stupid contract to make the website they don't give you a contract or anything in writing about being paid to write reviews. If you ask for them to send information on what they pay you for and how much they ignore you. All their promises about earning money is a lie.
If they call you ask for them to send you a written contract to read first. If they make promises that all you have to do is sign their work order first, don't do it. The work order justs talks about making a website it doesn't say anything about earning money.
Ask if they have a monthly charge, because they don't tell you anything about that when they call.
Don't give them your credit card information fo the $199 start up fees when they call.
The founder of this company, Reza Akhavan, lives in England, and he is Iranian so its an international mess trying to get law enforcement to investigate these con artist.

Igomogul.com developed website for me and I also applied for hosting with this company. During few years while I was their client they kept rising prices with no significant improvement in quality of their service. At some point my website went down and I wasn’t able to contact customer support at all.

I too agree with these complaints. I have spent quite a bit of money with this company and I will never see a dime of it. It has been two years and I wanted to sell the site. Apparently, that is out of the question. They promised it would sell 6 months ago, then 2 months ago and now they are saying it's not selling because of the economy. I told them to sell it for whatever they can get for it and they refused. Stay away from this company and file complaints so that they can be shut down before other people fall prey to them.

The bottom line of this company is they do not update or communicate properly, like I was writing 20 articles per week or more and they were good, but the truth is the people just break agreements, contracts and do not communicate well with people, only ones that are giving them funding to keep them up and running. Not everyone Google complaints, I did not, think it is just pissed off people, but thetre should not be ANY pissed off customer or employee!

igomogul.com is now websitebusiness.com Don't be fooled by this company or their scam. They had to change their name because of so much information on the internet about what a scam this company is tied to such a unique name like igomogul.com. They now changed their name to very popular keywords so that they can try and drown all the complaints about them.

And don't be fooled by positive comments on this post. Their business is writing posts, and they for sure have their "bloggers" trying to discredit truthful complaints about them, as you can tell from this message board.

am a certified computer tech and a writer. when they said they would give me a domain i was delighted. however writing for them was a scam. first off, you cant make more than 10$ a week becos they won't let you have more than 2 articles to write for.

Then i decided to work on my website. come to find that the html coding will not work. Becos its set up to work that way. i have to pay them 1400.00 to do so.

i saw that my site was registered with GoDaddy.com. So i decided to check further. came to find out that yes the domain is registered ... but NOT in my name...altho they used MY money...all the domains are registered with the company owner!

They are in fact promising domains and then stealing them.

IGOMOGUL is absolutely not a scam. I have made money everytime I work. Its a simple concept which many of you seem not used to. I have received my checks on time as promised. There were some recent policy changes that forced my blog out of service but I do just fine with writezilla..making an average of about 150-200.00/week...it is true that my limit is up to 7 and it took me almost 6 months to do that but it worked and its true. 200/week may seem like chump change but after auto expenses, gas expenses, babysitter expenses, going to ball games with my kids, coaching them sometimes, it all sorta equals out. dont quit..its worth it. IGOMOGUL is not a scam...
