terrible
It seems that they sell us cheap parts from China. They are just so cheap looking that I have no other opinion about it.
My last order was terrible because it arrived damaged. I notified them about it, but they refused to refund without any reason.
So you understand why I can't recommend dealing with this company to anyone at all. They keep my money and have no right for this. However, they have a different opinion. I will not give up and they will refund everything they stole.
Screen
I accidentally dropped my phone and broke the screen. I went online and tried to find a replacement screen and that's how I found www.ifixit.com website. Their site seemed like a pretty good deal so I ordered a replacement screen from them and it arrived pretty fast. But unfortunately it did not work properly and was defective. I contacted www.ifixit.com support service and explained what happened and asked for a refund but they refused and only said how sorry they were. They said that when they shipped my screen it was ok, and that the whole thing was not their responsibility. Do not order from this terrible company!
Useless company, refused to help
There was something wrong with my laptop! One day it just turned off and I was not able to turn it on, so I went online and found iFixit. I contacted the company and described everything in details. They said that there was nothing they could do and suggested me buying another laptop. I asked them just to look at it, maybe there was a way to fix it, and they said no and told that they had no time for it. Useless! Took my laptop to a local repair center and they fixed it in a week.
I am sorry to hear about your experience with whatever shop you might be mistaking us for, and I hope that you can use us in the future at www.ifixit.com/guides.
We actually don't do any repairs. We actually provide free repair manuals so you can learn to fix things yourself. In fact, the last thing we want to recommend to someone is to buy a new laptop! We do sell parts and tools to fix Macs, iPods, iPhones, iPads, various Android devices, and Game Consoles.
To clarify, we don't offer repair as a service, and we don't have any repair technicians.

Told me I owe them $299
I was receiving a message every time I clicked on my desktop. I called what I thought was help number and before I knew what happened IFixIt.com told me I owe them $299. They told me the reason why I was getting that message was because someone was trying to access credit card and banking info. I allowed them into my computer thinking it was customer support!
