Idtheftprotection / withdrew money from my acct without my knowledge and i was also charges bank fees for insufficient funds

United States Review updated:
1
i applied for a payday loan and idtheft took $31.98 out of my checking acct using my acct numbers from this loan (which i didn't take by the way)and when i was called from my bank saying i had three insufficient fund fees i flipped out i knew i had money in my acct when i used my debit card. i found out this money was taken without my knowledge or approval. i called them and had my name removed from this and demanded my money back and my 3 fees of $37 each. well they approved my $31.98 to be put back into my acct. but i want my $111 also in my acct and every email address i am given to try to contact these people is a hoax because it keeps coming back with a failed sent msg. what am i suppose to do this is alot of money to me to be taken from my acct and wasn't even my overdraft fault. how can i get this money back? they stole from my bank isn't that a federal offense?????

I was told I signed up for this service when I applied for a loan on the internet and it was an error. I never agreed to this service and am being charged for this. It is being automatically withdrawn from my account and I am being overdrawn because of it. I was told to go to this site for a refund and this is what I got instead. I am furious! This is protection, more like stealing to me.

I saw that $31.98 was withdrawn from my account. I finally tracked down the company information, idtheftprotection.com. I opened their website to find out who they are, since I had never heard of them before. I called the customer service number and spoke to a person with a phony name. I told him that I absolutely had never heard of their company and definately DID NOT authorize them to withdraw any funds from my account.

He said that my information was obtained online when I attempted get a loan with a company. He said that in order to be able to get a loan with the company I applied with, they set me up on their program and all he can do now is 'cancel my service' so that there are no further charges.

There should have never been a charge to begin with and I told him I wanted my money back. He said they cannot return the payment, since I filled out an application for a loan. I just don't get that whole explanation.

I called my bank and advised them that this is a withdrawal that I did not authorize. I will have to go to the bank to fill out paperwork to have it removed and they will investigate this.

Bottom line this is just another low life, underhanded company ripping off people!

This is the biggest scam ever. They put me on hold for 15 min when I asked to speak to a manager or someone who can tell me why I can't get a refund for this unauthorized transaction. After waiting 15 min I hung-up and called again. I was told the same thing and it was then that I realized this is how they get paid. They take $33.98 out of your account and no services rendered so they get paid for nothing. Because it's only $30 and change people just let it be ask their bank not to let this happen again but if they get 1000 of these a day then they have made their money even with the cancellation because they keep the $33.98. I am MAD AS HELL!!!

They took 2 for 33.98 out on me before I caught it and it cost $35 overdraft fee, too...you have to get a cancellation confirmation number for them to put you on the list for refund--but I still did not get it yet and applied 1/30 ...and to think this is an identity theft site--shame!!
